Abstract

Reducing the Open Unemployment Rate (OUR) remains a major challenge in several Indonesian provinces with different development characteristics, including DKI Jakarta, West Java, Banten, the Riau Islands, and Papua. Differences in economic development, labor market structure, and human resource quality contribute to variations in unemployment rates across regions. This study aims to analyze the effect of Digital Literacy, the Human Development Index (HDI), and the Provincial Minimum Wage (PMW) on the Open Unemployment Rate in these five provinces. Digital literacy reflects workforce readiness in responding to technological transformation, HDI represents the quality of education, health, and purchasing power, while PMW indicates wage policy affecting labor costs and employment decisions. This research employs a quantitative approach using panel data from 2015 to 2024 and is analyzed using the Fixed Effect Model (FEM). The results show that individually, digital literacy, HDI, and PMW do not have a significant effect on unemployment. However, simultaneously, these variables significantly influence variations in unemployment across provinces. These findings highlight the importance of integrated labor market policies that consider regional characteristics to achieve sustainable unemployment reduction.

Abstract

Occupational safety and health (OHS) is an important aspect in creating a good environment. However, workplace accidents often occur due to inadequate equipment. PDP Arafah Cianjur, a company engaged in food processing and distribution, is required to implement OHS optimally to reduce occupational accidents (KK) and occupational diseases (PAK) to create a safe, healthy, and productive work environment. The study aims to identify OHS problems that occur at PDP Arafah Cianjur, analyze the problem-solving efforts that have been undertaken by the company, and provide solutions to improve the OHS program. The method used is qualitative through direct observation and interviews. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of OHS at PDP Arafah Cianjur is not optimal. Problems were found in two main indicators, namely the environment and equipment. Several obstacles that emerged included a lack of worker discipline in following OHS procedures, a work environment that did not fully meet safety standards, and equipment maintenance that was not carried out regularly. These conditions have an impact on increasing the risk of KK and PAK and decreasing productivity. Problem solving; indicators of the condition of the work environment include rearranging the pen area and worker activity paths that were previously not well organized. Indicators of work equipment usage indicate the need to improve the use and maintenance of work equipment that is still simple and does not meet safety standards.

Abstract

The growth of social media has changed how halal products are promoted in the digital era. Marketing strategies are no longer focused only on advertising but also on storytelling that can create emotional connections with consumers. This study aims to explain the role of storytelling influencers in building trust and a positive image of halal products, using Fadil Jaidi as a case study of a Muslim influencer in Indonesia. The research uses a descriptive qualitative method by analyzing Fadil Jaidi’s social media content related to halal product promotion and reviewing literature on marketing communication and ethical promotion. The results show that Fadil Jaidi’s storytelling style, which combines honesty, humor, and social awareness, helps increase consumer trust and strengthen the positive image of halal brands. This approach also reflects ethical values and social responsibility that align with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. Therefore, influencers play an important role in conveying moral values and building a positive image of halal products in the growing world of digital marketing.

Abstract

Taxes represent a genuine social contribution that supports a nation's revenue growth. In practice, governments face numerous challenges in maximizing tax collections, one of which involves tax avoidance. This study aims to examine and assess how fixed asset intensity, executive incentives, and corporate risk influence tax avoidance in companies. The research employs a quantitative method, utilizing documentation and literature reviews for data collection. Multiple linear regression and classical assumption tests are applied to analyze the data quality and relationships among variables. The findings reveal that fixed asset intensity, executive incentives, and corporate risk collectively impact corporate tax avoidance. Individually, fixed asset intensity negatively and significantly affects tax avoidance, whereas executive incentives and corporate risk exhibit positive and significant influences. The study concludes that these three factors significantly influence tax avoidance in companies, with the remaining 9.2% of variability explained by other factors such as leverage, profitability, and corporate governance practices.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of job satisfaction and career development on employee performance at PT. TRM. The research adopts a quantitative explanatory approach to explain causal relationships among variables. Data were obtained from the entire population of 32 employees using a structured questionnaire measured with a Likert scale and were complemented by relevant company documentation. Prior to hypothesis testing, the data were examined using classical assumption tests to ensure the suitability of the regression model. The analytical method employed was multiple linear regression. The results demonstrate that job satisfaction and career development simultaneously exert a positive and statistically significant effect on employee performance. When analyzed individually, each variable also shows a positive and significant influence. However, career development contributes more dominantly to performance improvement compared to job satisfaction. This finding indicates that opportunities for career growth, including clear career paths, training programs, and transparent promotion systems, play a crucial role in enhancing employee productivity and effectiveness. The study implies that PT. TRM should prioritize the strengthening of career management practices as a strategic effort to improve performance outcomes. At the same time, the company needs to consistently maintain key aspects of job satisfaction, such as fair compensation, supportive leadership, and a comfortable working environment, to sustain employee motivation and commitment.

Abstract

Every company generally has a brand that serves as its unique identity and plays a crucial role in driving sales growth. In addition, accurate and effective distribution channels can also increase a company’s sales volume. This study aims to examine the influence of brand and distribution channels on the sales volume of an automotive company. The research employs a quantitative approach using both primary and secondary data. The population of this study consists of 37 respondents, all of whom were selected using a saturated sampling technique, meaning that the entire population was used as the research sample. The variables were measured using a Likert scale to obtain quantitative data. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression to determine the effect of the independent variables on the dependent variable. The results indicate that, simultaneously, brand and distribution channels have a significant effect on sales volume at PT. DSE. Partially, the brand variable has a significant influence on sales volume, while distribution channels also contribute positively and significantly. These findings suggest that strengthening brand strategies and managing distribution channels effectively are essential for increasing sales volume and enhancing the company’s competitiveness.

Abstract

The integrated poultry agrifood subsector plays a strategic role in Indonesia’s national economy and food security. However, it faces significant challenges arising from fluctuations in feed raw material prices, particularly corn and soybean meal, which directly affect corporate profitability. This study aims to analyze and compare the profitability performance of integrated poultry agrifood companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2019–2024 period, using Net Profit Margin (NPM) as the primary indicator. The research adopts a descriptive quantitative approach through financial ratio analysis, utilizing secondary data obtained from the financial statements and annual reports of five companies: PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Tbk, PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk, PT Malindo Feedmill Tbk, PT Sreeya Sewu Indonesia Tbk, and PT Widodo Makmur Unggas Tbk. The results indicate that companies with larger business scale and higher levels of vertical integration tend to achieve higher and more stable NPM values throughout the observation period. Firms such as CPIN and JPFA were able to maintain positive NPM despite rising feed cost pressures during the 2021–2023 period, while companies with lower cost efficiency exhibited more volatile and even negative NPM. These findings highlight that efficient feed cost management, reflected in NPM stability and supported by value chain integration and technology-based operational efficiency, is a key determinant of sustainable profitability in the integrated poultry agrifood subsector amid volatile input prices.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of work-life balance and organizational support on employee performance through job satisfaction as an intervening variable at PT. Reka Frasa Indonesia. A quantitative research approach was employed to achieve the research objectives by involving 121 employees of PT. Reka Frasa Indonesia as the research sample. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using path analysis. The results of the direct effect analysis indicate that work-life balance and organizational support have a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. Furthermore, work-life balance, organizational support, and job satisfaction also have a positive and significant influence on employee performance. The results of the indirect effect analysis reveal that job satisfaction mediates the relationship between work-life balance and organizational support and employee performance. These findings suggest that improving work-life balance and strengthening organizational support can enhance employees’ job satisfaction, which in turn contributes to improved employee performance. Therefore, organizations are encouraged to develop policies and work environments that promote work-life balance and provide adequate organizational support to achieve optimal employee performance at PT. Reka Frasa Indonesia in Makassar.
