Abstract

The main concern of the research was the effectiveness of think-pair- share (TPS) model toward the listening comprehension of the eleventh-grade students at SMAN 1 Anggana in the academic year of 2021/2022. The study aimed to find out the data of the students on listening comprehension by using the TPS model to know whether there was effect of teaching model. The research employed an experimental research design administering two groups with pre-test and post-test. The groups were the experimental group and the controlled group. The experimental group was a group that was given treatment by TPS model for the listening comprehension. In contrast, the controlled group was a group that was provided with the conventional model. The data were taken by administering the fifteen multiple-choice comprehension tests to determine the students’ listening comprehension. The subjects were 66 students of the eleventh-grade students of SMAN 1 Anggana in the academic year of 2021/2022. Each group consisted of 33 students. The treatment was given to the subject in the sixth meeting. Finally, the researcher gave the post-test to the two groups and analyzed the score. Then the data were analyzed by using t-test to determine whether there was a significant difference between the TPS model and the conventional model. The result of the research TPS model has a positive advantage on students’ comprehension.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi metode qira’ah dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri Samarinda. Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah guru MTS Negeri Samarinda dan siswi kelas VIII.6 MTS Negeri Samarinda. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif untuk mengetahui bentuk implementasi metode qira’ah dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab di MTS Negeri Samarinda. Untuk memperoleh data, peneliti menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa implementasi metode qira’ah dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab di MTS Negeri Samarinda berjalan dengan baik. Hal ini dibuktikan dari pengamatan peneliti selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung, dimana kemampuan peserta didik dalam membaca teks qira’ah secara keseluruhan sudah cukup baik dan didasarkan pada pengamatan peneliti dimana saat peserta didik diminta membaca mereka mampu membacanya meski terdapat satu atau dua kata yang terbata-bata.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine whether there is a correlation between students’ vocabulary mastery and their speaking skills. The subjects were 40 students from eleventh-grade students (XI MIPA 2) of MAN Model 1 Manado. The design that was applied in this research was the quantitative method. The data gained in this research by giving the students speaking and vocabulary test then analyzed using the Pearson product-moment correlation formula. Based on the finding of the analysis and calculation, it was found that the rxy was 0,799. Referring to the table of product-moment interpretation, it was in the interval of 0,70 - 0,90, which means that variables X and Y stated a high correlation. According to the significance table, the degree of freedom (df = N-nr) is 38, the significance level 5% is 0,320, and 1% is 0,413. Comparing the values showed that rxy is bigger than rt (0,320<0,799>0,413). It means there is a significant correlation between vocabulary mastery and speaking skills, which proves that students’ vocabulary mastery increases in line with their speaking skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was descript learning maharah qira'ah and maharah kitabah are taught in the Syarqi markaz Arabiyah Pare Kediri class, the research method used is a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis. The research instruments in this study were observation and documentation. The results of the study show that first, the target of maharah qira'ah learning in the Syarqi Tsani class is to be able to read texts fluently, that is, in accordance with their qawaid, be able to translate words, and understand the meaning of the text as a whole. When viewed from its level, this qira'ah learning is an advanced level, and the learning method used is the discussion method. Second, the target of Maharah Kitabah learning in the Syarqi Awwal class is to write correctly. When viewed from the level, it is the level of mubtadi'. The method used is the questioning method (question and answer).

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the impact of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) method on Arabic speaking skills of 11th-grade students at State Islamic Senior High School 1 Tembilahan. The question is whether the CTL learning model has an effect on the Arabic speaking ability of the students at the school. The population of the study consists of all 11th-grade students at the school, with samples drawn from Natural Science 2 class as an experimental group and Natural Science 3 class as a control group. Observation and testing were used as data collection tools. The results showed that there was a significant effect of the CTL learning model on speaking skills as demonstrated by the the Wilcoxon test. The score of Asymp. sig. (2-tailed) was 0.000, lower than 0.05, leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis and acceptance of the alternative hypothesis, indicating a significant effect of the CTL learning model on the students speaking skills.

Abstract

Bahasa Arab menjadi instrumen pembelajaran utama, khususnya dalam memahami sumber-sumber utama ajaran Islam. Nilai kesusastraannya yang tinggi dan statusnya sebagai bahasa Al-Quran, menambah nilai lebih bahasa Arab daripada bahasa yang lainnya, khususnya bagi umat Islam. Bahasa Arab tidak dapat dipahami tanpa pemahaman yang mendalam tentang ilmu nahwu. Dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab terdapat empat keterampilan berbahasa, yaitu keterampilan menyimak (maharah al-istima’), berbicara (maharah al-kalam), membaca (maharah al-qira’ah) dan kemahiran menulis (maharah al-kitabah). Untuk menguasai keempat keterampilan di atas mutlak diperlukan ilmu nahwu. Melihat posisi strategis nahwu dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berbahasa Arab, maka Pembelajaran nahwu menjadi bagian dari ilmu pengetahuan yang sangat penting untuk dipelajari di lembaga pendidikan Islam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat apa saja problematika dalam pembelajaran nahwu di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 program keagamaan (MAN-PK) Samarinda. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif. Sumber data adalah pendidik ilmu nahwu dan peserta didik Program Keagamaan Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 2 Samarinda. Teknik pengumpulan data diperoleh dari observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik. Teknik analisis data berupa kondensasi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses pembelajaran nahwu di Program Keagamaan Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 2 Samarinda ada tiga tahapan yaitu tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Adapun problematika pembelajaran nahwu di Program Keagamaan Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 2 Samarinda terdiri dari beberapa faktor yakni faktor peserta didik berupa perbedaan latar belakang pendidikan dan kurangnya minat belajar peserta didik, berikutnya dari faktor pendidik yaitu karena rendahnya profesionalisme guru, sedangkan faktor bahan ajar yaitu kitab yang digunakan tidak tuntas dipelajari dan faktor waktu belajar yang sangat terbatas.

Abstract

The Arabic language has four skills required by all non-native speaking students, especially students from the government school in Samarang, Indonesia. It is the skill of listening, speaking, reading and writing. All of these skills are necessary for non-native students to try to understand them. Although students learn it from a young age, they cannot master this language well. Rather, they face many problems, including difficulty understanding word structures and comprehension of new foreign vocabulary. This research aims to identify the problems of teaching Arabic to students of the Islamic High School in Samarang and solve their problems. This research was a field research using the qualitative approach in conjunction with the use of the current study as one of its methods. Data collection is carried out in three ways: observation, interview, and documentation. The method used to analyze research data is reduction, presentation and investigation. The result of the research was obtained that the problems faced by students of the public secondary school Smaring are of two types, namely the linguistic problem and the non-linguistic problem, and the linguistic problem is vocabulary and structures. The non-linguistic problem is the lack of motivation and enthusiasm of students and the lack of a learning environment. The solutions proposed by the researcher are 1) accustoming students to speech as much as they can, 2) using fun method and strategy such as language games and others, 3) fixing school decisions related to the motivation for their learning of the Arabic language, such as warning and excuse.
