Abstract

The canteen at University of Technology Yogyakarta (UTY) often experiences overcrowding, particularly during peak hours, leading to long queues and potential errors in order processing. This research aims to design and develop a website-based food ordering system using the Laravel framework to facilitate the ordering process for students, lecturers, and staff, while also assisting canteen owners in efficiently managing orders. The system allows users to select menus, place orders, and complete payments online, significantly reducing the need for in-person queuing. The solution is expected to improve the canteen environment, providing a more organized and comfortable space for the UTY academic community. Functionality testing using Black Box Testing demonstrated that all core features operated as intended without issues. Additionally, usability testing through the System Usability Scale (SUS) yielded an average score of 97.58, categorizing the system in the "Excellent" or Grade A range. This high SUS score reflects strong user satisfaction, indicating that the system is both effective and well-received for enhancing food ordering and management processes on campus.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the social competence of early childhood education educators at An Nash Islamic Kindergarten through the in-house training (IHT) program. Social competence is one of the four basic competencies that teachers must have, which includes the ability to collaborate, communicate effectively, and involve parents and the community in the learning process. Although online training has previously been conducted, the results have not shown significant improvement. Therefore, IHT is designed to provide training that is more focused and relevant to the needs of educators. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the implementation of IHT at An Nash Islamic Kindergarten successfully improved educators' understanding and social skills. The program involves three stages, namely planning, implementation, and evaluation, which are carried out systematically to ensure the effectiveness of the training. A training needs analysis was conducted to identify gaps and find appropriate solutions. The research shows that although there is progress in educators' social competencies, continuous training is still needed to achieve optimal competencies. IHT proved to be an effective solution to improve educators' social competence in ECD settings, with an emphasis on collaboration and involvement of parents and communities. This study provides recommendations for the implementation of a more structured and sustainable training program to support teachers' professional development in the future.

Abstract

Schizophrenia is a serious mental disorder characterized by hallucinations, delusions, disorganized thoughts, and difficulty managing emotions, often leading to aggressive behavior. This study explores the effectiveness of anger management interventions in helping patients with schizophrenia manage aggression, specifically targeting a 38-year-old patient diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. The study employs a qualitative approach through observations, interviews, and psychological testing to assess the patient's psychological state and identify factors contributing to emotional dysregulation. Psychological assessments, including WAIS, SSCT, WWQ, SRQ-20, and projective tests, revealed that the patient displayed a below-average IQ, social withdrawal, mood instability, impulsivity, and paranoia. The intervention included six sessions of anger management techniques based on Novaco’s cognitive-behavioral approach, aiming to help the patient recognize anger triggers, improve emotion regulation, and foster positive coping strategies. Results demonstrated a notable reduction in aggressive behaviors, with the patient showing progress in emotional control, appropriate social communication, and engaging in beneficial activities to redirect anger. Although some behavioral challenges persisted, the patient exhibited improved self-awareness and applied relaxation techniques learned during the intervention. This study highlights the significance of individualized anger management programs as an effective approach for reducing aggression in schizophrenia patients.

Abstract

Beauty is something that is considered quite important to have and is every woman's dream. Even though each individual's standard of beauty is different, there is a kind of unwritten standard that is embedded in people's minds regarding what beauty is. Over time and the development of technology, the dominance of the media, beauty standards have become narrowed to one point, namely Western-style beauty. This research aims to analyze how Skin Game, as a local beauty brand, contributes to changing the beauty narrative in Indonesia through the #BornThisWay campaign. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research type using Rholand Barthes' semiotics. The research subjects were 8 Skin Game Instagram posts with the hashtag BornThisWay. The reason for choosing the subject for the hashtag #BornThisWay is because posts with this hashtag are also a form of campaign carried out by Skin Game and have received a lot of positive responses from their followers as evidenced by the large number of Instagram users who have joined in using the hashtag. Then the object of research is the representation of beauty in Skin Game Instagram posts with the hashtag BornThisWay. In this research, researchers used the documentation method. According to Sugiyono in Gumelar (2020), the documentation method is a technique used to obtain data and information in the form of archives, books, writings or images or documents collected in a report for research purposes. Qualitative data analysis according to Bogdan and Biklen in Aldrian (2022) data analysis can be done through organizing data, sorting data so that it can be managed, synthesizing data, and continuing to search until it can produce something for other people from the research carried out. Through the results of this semiotic analysis, it can be interpreted that the #BornThisWay campaign by Skin Game succeeded in creating and communicating strong messages about self-acceptance, self-love, and celebrating individual physical uniqueness
