Abstract

Ineffective breastfeeding is a common issue among post-cesarean mothers due to inadequate milk supply, postoperative pain, and psychological distress. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of oxytocin massage in improving breast milk production and release. A descriptive case study was conducted on a 27-year-old mother experiencing breastfeeding difficulties after cesarean delivery. Nursing interventions were provided over three consecutive days, including breastfeeding education, oxytocin massage, and emotional support. The results showed improved milk flow, reduced maternal anxiety, and better infant latch. Oxytocin massage proved to be an effective non-pharmacological intervention for addressing ineffective breastfeeding. This study recommends integrating oxytocin massage into postpartum nursing care.

This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation over seven meetings, then analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the use of documentary video can increase student learning motivation. This was evident in increased student enthusiasm during learning, active participation in discussions, courage to ask questions, and willingness to summarize the video content. Teachers also stated that students became more focused, understood historical events more easily, and did not get bored easily. Challenges encountered included limited technical facilities such as projectors and speakers, limited personal devices for re-watching videos, and some students' unfamiliarity with learning through audiovisual media.

Abstract

The culinary business is a promising one because food is a top priority in fulfilling basic human needs. However, it cannot be denied that the food business also has weaknesses and threats. This study aims to determine the marketing communication strategy of this restaurant in the context of a tourist village using a SWOT analysis. The growth of tourist villages in Indonesia shows an increasing trend, along with development based on local wisdom. This condition has encouraged the emergence of various Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), particularly in the culinary sector as a tourist attraction. However, this trend also presents challenges in the form of increasingly fierce competition between cafes. Café di. Kayuwangi as one of the culinary MSMEs in the ecotourism village area in Banyu Biru, Central Java, needs to have the right marketing communication strategy in order to survive and grow. The research method uses a quantitative descriptive approach, through observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. The results of the study show that Café di.Kayuwangi is positioned in quadrant 1 (effective/progressive strategy), cell II in the IE Matrix, namely the Grow and Build category. Through the TOWS Matrix, four alternative marketing communication strategies were obtained: (1) an aggressive strategy with tourism and culinary integration, (2) a turn around strategy through digital branding and menu innovation, (3) a diversification strategy by strengthening local facilities and partnerships, and (4) a defensive strategy with service diversification and environmental risk management, while anticipating weaknesses and threats of competition.

Abstract

Mental disorders, especially depression, are becoming increasingly common in society, but are often underestimated because they are not physically visible. Depression is characterized by deep sadness, loss of hope, helplessness, difficulty concentrating, and even thoughts of suicide. This phenomenon inspired the creation of Kecil?, an experimental fiction work based on 360⁰ Virtual Reality (VR), which aims to convey the emotional experiences of people with depression in an immersive way. The film tells the story of an individual who personifies his internal conflicts through imaginary characters, depicting an inner struggle related to existential questions about birth, life, and death. The film creation process was carried out systematically through the stages of development, preproduction, production, and post-production, including idea development, visual observation, concept design, location selection, casting, controlled improvisation staging, lighting arrangements, and shooting using the point of view (POV) technique with an Insta360 X3 camera. The post-production stage involves editing long takes and using visual effects such as Content-Aware Fill and Masking to maintain visual continuity and enhance the film's aesthetics. The results of the study show that Kecil? successfully represents the emotional experiences of people with depression in depth. The careful use of mise-en-scène, cinematography, lighting, sound, and staging allows the audience to feel the main character's cathartic process and understand the complexity of the feelings of individuals with depression. The 360⁰ VR approach increases audience engagement directly, opens up space for dialogue, reduces stigma, and emphasizes the importance of community support for mental health. This film proves that film media can be an effective educational tool and mental health campaign, highlighting that mental health issues, though seemingly minor, have a significant impact if ignored.

Abstract

Challenges in Implementing the Merdeka Curriculum in History Learning at SMA Negeri 1 Sarudu. Skripsi. Bachelor’s degree. History Education Study Program, Social Science Education Department, Teacher Training, and Education Faculty, Tadulako University. Under the supervision of Fajar Nugroho. This research aims to describe the implementation process, identify the challenges encountered, and examine the solutions applied in applying the Merdeka Curriculum in history learning at SMA Negeri 1 Sarudu. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The research results show that implementing the Merdeka Curriculum at SMA Negeri 1 Sarudu encompasses three stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation, centred on students' needs and characteristics. In the process, various problems were found, including student objections to P5 projects, teachers' difficulties in implementing differentiated learning, facility limitations, teachers' lack of initial understanding, and constraints in assessment time management. The solutions implemented by the school and teachers include socialising the benefits of P5, student mentoring, learning style mapping, teacher training, facility optimisation, and more structured assessment scheduling. This research concludes that implementing the Merdeka Curriculum at SMA Negeri 1 Sarudu still faces challenges, but these can be overcome through collaboration between the school and teachers so that history learning runs more effectively and in line with the principles of independent learning.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of democratic parenting in building the character of responsibility in 5-6-year-old children at Strada Kindergarten. Using a qualitative approach, the study involved parents who practiced democratic parenting and their children, as well as early childhood teachers, to gain an in-depth understanding of their experiences and interactions. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, behavioral observations, and questionnaires measuring parents' perceptions of parenting and children's character development. The results showed that democratic parenting, characterized by open communication, granting freedom with limits, and respecting children's opinions, contributed significantly to the development of children's responsible character. Children raised in this supportive environment tend to exhibit higher levels of responsibility, as they are taught to understand the consequences of their actions and are involved in decision-making. In addition, the study revealed that inconsistencies in parenting styles can affect the internalization of responsibility in children, making it important for parents and teachers to work together to create a stable and supportive environment. The study also highlighted the challenges faced in implementing democratic parenting, especially in the context of different cultures and family dynamics. As such, the findings provide valuable insights for parents and educators in their efforts to shape the character of early childhood responsibility, as well as emphasizing the importance of a balanced approach between freedom and guidance in parenting.
