Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of ice breaking as a learning strategy to improve the learning concentration of Grade V students at SD Negeri Langaleso. By employing a qualitative approach and a case study methodology, the research aims to gain an in-depth understanding of the phenomena occurring within the school environment. The research subjects are Grade V students of SDN Langaleso, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The findings indicate that the implementation of ice breaking activities in the learning process can enhance student concentration. Ice breaking activities create a relaxed and enjoyable learning atmosphere, enabling students to concentrate better and become more receptive to the learning material. Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that ice breaking is an effective strategy for improving learning concentration, particularly among Grade V students at SD Negeri Langaleso. The study recommends applying similar strategies in other classes to comprehensively enhance the quality of learning.

Abstract

Turnover intention is an important issue that impacts organizational stability, especially in the midst of changing demographics and labor market dynamics. This study aims to identify the factors that cause turnover intention through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) based on PRISMA guidelines and the SPIDER framework. The search was conducted on Scopus, ScienceDirect, PubMed, and Google Scholar databases, with 10 articles selected through screening using the Rayyan application. The analysis showed that turnover intention is influenced by various multidimensional factors, such as job satisfaction, leadership style (authentic and transformational), job stress, attachment, and social climate such as exclusion. Supervisor support, perceived organizational benevolence, and job satisfaction act as mediators or moderators in the relationship. The findings emphasize the importance of a holistic approach in employee retention strategies that not only focuses on compensation, but also creating a supportive work environment and effective leadership.

Development was carried out through the five stages of ADDIE: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research subjects were third grade students. The feasibility of the product was tested through three aspects: validity, practicality, and effectiveness, using questionnaires and evaluation questions as data collection methods. The results of media expert validation showed a score of 88% and material expert 89%, both of which were in the very valid category. Practicality test from student questionnaires obtained an average score of 94%, and from teachers 93%, indicating that the media is very practical. The effectiveness test based on evaluation results showed 90% of students scored above average. Thus, this learning video is declared very feasible and can be used in the process of learning math fraction material.

Abstract

This study examines the Chinese diaspora in Canada, focusing on historical contexts, immigration patterns, socio-economic contributions and the impact of government policies. Using a methodological approach that includes historical analysis and data visualisation, key events such as the Chinese Immigration Act of 1885 and the Chinese Exclusion Act of 1923 are examined. The results show that Chinese Canadians have made a significant contribution to Canada’s economic development through labour, education and entrepreneurship, despite legal barriers and problems with credential recognition. Using the concept of “double diaspora,” the study emphasises the transnational mobility and complex identities of Chinese Canadians. Policy changes, including the repeal of exclusionary laws and economic immigration programmes, have enabled greater integration. This study offers valuable insights into the resilience and contributions of the Chinese diaspora and provides perspectives for researchers, policy makers and the public.

Abstract

As they age, many seniors experience stress. Stress is a person's inability to cope with challenges, which can lead to increased blood sugar. Blood sugar is a source of energy for energy production. One indicator for detecting PAD is the ABI. is a diagnostic examination of the lower extremities to detect the possibility of decreased peripheral perfusion by comparing the systolic pressure of the ankle and arm. Research This aim to analyze the relationship between stress levels and blood sugar with the Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) value as an early detection of Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) in type II diabetes mellitus patients at the Elderly Posyandu, Mlajah Village, Bangkalan. This type of research is analytic correlation with cross-sectional design The population in this study was the entire population of type II DM patients at the Elderly Posyandu, Mlajah Village, Bangkalan with a total of a sample of 42 respondents, using the probability sampling technique , namely simple random sampling . Variables Independent Stress Level and Variables dependent ABI value with research statistical test use Spearman rank obtained the p value (0.000) with a significance level of α (0.05), meaning the p value <α with the conclusion that there is connection between level stress and sugar blood with ABI value . Based on the interpretation table of stress levels with ABI values, the r value is (0.516), and the interpretation table of blood sugar with ABI values, the r value is (0.636) so that the correlation between the two variables can be said to be strong. Stress levels, blood sugar levels, and ABI values are related. This research is expected to help the public, especially those with diabetes mellitus who participated, improve their health.

Abstract

This study was based on observations of a male patient with schizophrenia who was staying in a mental hospital. The patient displayed withdrawn behavior and tended to avoid interacting with other patients in the ward. If left untreated, this pattern of behavior could interfere with the patient’s recovery, as he showed no interest in doing anything except lying in bed and staying in the corner of the room. The purpose of this study was to reduce the patient’s withdrawn behavior by increasing his involvement in daily structured activities. This research applied an experimental approach using a single-subject design. Data were collected by observing the patient’s participation in scheduled therapeutic activities. A behavior monitoring sheet was used to compare the subject’s behavior before and after the intervention. The results showed that Behavioral Activation Therapy (BAT) was quite effective. After the intervention, the patient began engaging in more activities, which contributed to a noticeable reduction in his withdrawn behavior.
