Abstract

Floor gymnastics, as a branch of sport, requires mastery of advanced techniques. However, conventional teaching methods are considered less effective in helping students of the Sports Coaching Education (PKO) program at Cenderawasih University to master both theoretical and practical aspects. The main obstacles include limited meeting time, lack of interactivity, and low learning motivation. To address these issues, this Community Service (PkM) activity proposes the integration of digital learning media in the form of e-books and interactive videos. The implementation method involves three stages: preparation, training, and evaluation, with the participation of 40 students. The post-test results showed a significant improvement in theoretical mastery (17%) and practical skills (26%), with 94.6% of participants stating that the module was very helpful. These findings align with previous research, which indicates that digital media enhances understanding, motivation, and learning flexibility. In conclusion, the combination of e-books and interactive videos is effective in improving floor gymnastics skills. It is recommended to enrich the content with advanced movements and provide technology training for instructors to ensure program sustainability.

Abstract

The issue of debt and credit is a part of civil legal relations that often leads to disputes within society, primarily due to a lack of understanding of legal aspects and available resolution mechanisms. This Community Service (PkM) activity was conducted in Kenari Subdistrict, Central Jakarta, with the aim of providing legal education regarding debt agreements from both civil and criminal law perspectives. The materials delivered included the basic concepts of debt and credit, types of loan agreements according to the Indonesian Civil Code (KUH Perdata), the legal requirements for valid agreements as outlined in Article 1320 of the Civil Code, and the importance of written evidence in lending transactions. Additionally, participants were informed about the legal risks involved, both in cases of breach of contract and when criminal elements such as fraud (Article 378 of the Criminal Code) or embezzlement (Article 372 of the Criminal Code) are present. Through an interactive and practical approach, this activity successfully enhanced public legal awareness regarding their rights and obligations in civil relations, and introduced alternative non-litigation dispute resolution methods such as mediation and deliberation. The participants’ enthusiasm indicated that legal education is highly necessary and relevant to everyday issues. This initiative is expected to serve as a sustainable first step toward building a more legally aware society, capable of conducting legitimate and secure transactions, and resolving disputes wisely in accordance with applicable laws.

Abstract

Education is a lifelong learning process essential for developing individual potential. However, at MI Nurul Huda Pulau Batu, the learning process still relies heavily on a teacher-centered model using lectures, resulting in low student engagement and participation. To address this issue, a socialization and training program on the Cooperative Learning Model, specifically the Group Investigation (GI) type, was conducted for teachers at MI Nurul Huda Pulau Batu. This model encourages students to actively learn in heterogeneous groups, fostering creativity, communication skills, and social responsibility. The training utilized lectures, question-and-answer sessions, and practical demonstrations. The results indicate an increased understanding among teachers regarding the GI model and its potential to create a more active and enjoyable learning environment. Although the training time was limited, the activity contributed positively to enhancing teacher competencies and is expected to improve the overall quality of learning at MI Nurul Huda Pulau Batu.

Abstract

Food security, stunting issues, hunger, and malnutrition are all interconnected with the theme of extreme poverty. This phenomenon has become a leading discourse in developing countries. On one hand, it is imperative that a country consciously designs agricultural ecosystems and food security frameworks. Communities living in aquatic environments are naturally connected to the tools and resources available within the broader ecosystem that has sustained and supported them for years. Their ability to adapt and even go beyond the “natural-normal” state, in processing raw materials found in their surroundings, reflects their effort to survive through the development of derivative food products. This community service program was conducted in the administrative region of Kampung Dayun, Siak Regency. The main objectives and functions include promoting the use of local natural resources as alternative processed food ingredients, ensuring the availability of abundant local food sources, and preparing food reserves. The activities carried out involved delivering public lectures, question-and-answer sessions, and practical training. These aimed to transfer knowledge and innovation to local communities and food product innovators. The focus was on processing non-rice food sources, such as cassava, corn, sweet potatoes, sago, taro, breadfruit, and other similar types. All of these food sources require extensive knowledge and creativity to be transformed into diverse food products.

Abstract

Breast milk (ASI) is the best source of nutrition for infants, providing essential nutrients and energy beneficial to their development. An adequate volume of breast milk is a key factor in the success of exclusive breastfeeding. Moringa leaves have the potential to increase ASI production by enhancing prolactin levels and supplying vital nutrients. Moringa is one of the natural ingredients cultivated by the Women's Farmer Group (KWT) Manunggal Sejati in Polokarto and can be used to support household nutrition, particularly for families with toddlers under stunting supervision. Unfortunately, Posyandu (community health post) cadres in Polokarto lack sufficient knowledge on how to process moringa leaves as ASI booster helping mothers prevent stunting. The aim of this initiative was to improve the knowledge and skills of Posyandu cadres regarding the utilization of moringa leaves as an ASI booster. The activities were conducted at the Polokarto Village Hall during June–July 2024. The program was divided into four phases, including education, training on making moringa leaf tea, and monitoring-evaluation. The educational outcomes demonstrated an increase in participants’ knowledge about the use of moringa leaf tea. The average pre-test score of Posyandu cadres was 63.79 increasing to 87.24 in the post-test following the training. The significant improvement in post-test scores indicates the effectiveness of the training in enhancing cadres' knowledge. Training Posyandu cadres is a vital step toward improving child health within the community.

Abstract

The fundamental problem faced by the partner farmers is the lack of knowledge and skills in fulfilling the trade documentation requirements for the protection of endangered plants and animals as regulated by the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) of 1973. Due to limited understanding of export procedures and the requirements for protected plant products under CITES, the partners have resorted to exporting through the black market. As a result, the selling price of their products becomes lower, and the partners’ interests are less protected in case of shipping issues or payment problems. Moreover, sales through the black market can only be conducted on a small scale, which does not support the growth of the partner group’s business. The planned solution to address this problem is to enhance the partners’ knowledge and skills through outreach on CITES and intensive workshops on obtaining CITES permits. The program aims to improve their capability to independently acquire CITES permits, including preparing documents, registration, and fulfilling other technical requirements for future export of their products.
