Abstract

The purpose of this research is to: 1) is to find out the structure of the novel (characters, plot, and setting) that builds the storytelling in the novel Bukan Pasarmalam by Pramoedya Ananta Toer. 2) Is to know the social values contained in the novel Bukan Pasarmalam by Pramoedya Ananta Toer. 3) is to know the moral values in the novel Bukan Pasarmalam by Pramoedya Ananta Toer. 4) is to find out the relevance between the novel Bukan Pasarmalam and learning Indonesian language and literature in high school. This research method uses content analysis method, using a qualitative approach. With the method used, this study found the results that: 1) The structure of the novel Bukan Pasarmalam describes people's lives in Indonesia before and after independence. In this novel, Pramoedya describes the sadness, suffering and difficulties of the post-independence Indonesian people. 2) the findings and results of the analysis of this novel, it is known that the novel Bukan Pasarmalam contains social values through social interactions within the family and society. These values include: the value of affection, the value of compassion, the value of protection, the value of religiosity, the value of caring, the value of equality, the value of togetherness, the value of sincerity. 3) The moral values contained in the character I are in the form of behavior that most are worthy of being an example for everyone such as being responsible, patient, guarding one's tongue, and being religious. 4) The social values and moral values in the novel Bukan Pasarmalam can be relevant to the 2013 curriculum for Indonesian language and literature subjects in class XI high schools, there is material about analyzing the intrinsic and extrinsic elements of literary works, one of which is Indonesian novels which contain values cultural, social, moral, historical, and religious with basic competencies: identifying life values contained in a collection of short stories and analyzing messages from two fiction books (novels and poetry), while the learning materials: short stories, short story contents, values life, short story intrinsic elements, novel elements and reviews of novels.

Abstract

Slow learner students are students who experience delays in the learning process. This delay affects other abilities such as adaptation, communication and personality which can have an impact on self-esteem. Students with high self-esteem make them able to think positively about themselves and be more confident. One form of handling to increase self-esteem is using the Montessory method. This method helps students explore themselves through play media. The purpose of this research is to identify the needs of slow learner students with low self-esteem towards the Montessory method in learning.

Abstract

Fuel Oil (BBM) is one of the commodities from the natural resources of oil and natural gas. Oil and natural gas are non-renewable strategic natural resources controlled by country. Oil and natural gas have an important role in the national economy. So that the management of oil and natural gas must be able to provide optimally prosperity and welfare of society. The government made a policy regarding subsidized fuel in order to save on the state budget, and it is hoped that more people will use public transportation in order to reduce traffic jams in Indonesia. The government created the My Pertamina application to buy several Pertamina products such as fuel, but in its implementation this application reaped many pros and cons from the public.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the form and function of deixis in the novel literature found in Edensor by Andrea Hirata. This research focuses on finding elements of persona deixis, time deixis, space or place deixis, and social deixis in Edensor's novel. The main problem under study is to reveal the form and function of deixis in detail in pragmatic studies. The researcher also aims that the results of deixis analysis in the novel Edensor by Andrea Hirata can be implicated in learning novels in high school. This research is a descriptive study using a qualitative approach with the type of research used is content analysis techniques (content analysis). Research with content analysis method is used to obtain information from the data obtained. This method can be used to analyze all forms of communication, such as newspapers, books, films and so on. Thus, the approach and type of research in this study is a descriptive qualitative approach. This study describes the sentences resulting from data analysis in the form of words or phrases in the novel Edensor by Andrea Hirata which have been analyzed in terms of the deixis elements of pragmatic studies. The results of this study found that there are many elements of deixis used in Edensor's novel. The tendency of the deixis elements contained in this novel is persona deixis because the author of the novel tends to bring up characterization elements and then followed by time deixis because it has back and forth flow and spatial deixis because it rarely raises the setting of the place and the least deixis element in this novel is the social deixis element. . Persona deixis in this novel has the form I, you, I, you, you, they, we, he, she, -nya,-mu,-ku,ku-. Then the deixis of time refers to the past, present, and future. Place deixis refers to a place that is far from the speaker, which is close to the speaker, and to which the speaker is going. Then social deixis which refers to social status, social position, and maintaining politeness in speaking.

Abstract

The aims of the research are (1) to describe the forms of code switching contained in the content YouTube Turah Parthayana, (2) describes the form of code switching contained in the contentYouTube Turah Parthayana, (3) describes the factors that cause code switching in the contentYouTube To install Turah Parthayana. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. This research with sociolinguistic studies focuses on aspects of code switching. The data sources in this study are three video content shows owned by Turah Parthayana. The data collection technique in this study used the free-involved viewing method. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that the three video views are contentYouTube From that, the code switching data found was 44 data. The forms of temporary code switching and permanent code switching were both found by the researcher, namely 5 data. Forms of code switching found at the phrase level found 16 data, 10 data clause levels, 5 sentence levels, and 3 data inter-sentence levels. The factors that cause code-switching found are factors of talking about a certain topic, quoting other people, inserting interjections (expressive words of feeling, doing repetition used for clarification and intention to clarify the speaker's content to the other person

Abstract

The research background in learning Indonesia include aspects of listening, speaking, reading, writing. Writing skill as one of the four language skills has a very important role in human life. This study aims to improve the ability to write descriptions in class IV A students at SD Negeri 8 Menteng Palangka Raya and describe the activities of students during learning to write descriptions using the question and answer method assisted by serial picture media to students in class IV A SD Negeri 8 Menteng Palangka Raya . This research uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the question and answer method. The population of this research is SDN 8 Menteng Palangka Raya. The sample of the research is 33 students of Class IV A of SDN 8 Menteng Palangka Raya. The results of this research are improving writing descriptions can be seen from the average score of students during the pretest, namely 65.60. The results of the first cycle of post test writing descriptions get an average of 71.65. while the results of the post test cycle II writing a description get an average of 80.17. increase in the average value of cycles I and II of 8.52. The classical completeness in cycle I was 63.63% and Cycle II was 93.93%.

Abstract

Sustainable development goals (SDGs) are not something new. SDGs has been going on for a very long time, both nationally and internationally. One of the goals of sustainable development is about the environment, about achieving sustainable management of natural resources and the environment as a support for all life. Various issues related to the environment are still ongoing. The waste problem is still being discussed, so in 2020 the government will issue regulations regarding waste management. In Indonesian, the jargon has long been known, "Buanglah sampah pada tempatnya!" and the ban “Jangan membuang sampah sembatrangan!” It turns out that this jargon has been "deliberately" formally instilled in children's minds from the past until now through textbooks issued by the government. In both jargons it turns out that there is inappropriate treatment of waste. Therefore, until now waste is still a problem for us.

AI technology has become an integral part of modern human life, with various applications in industries such as business, health, government, and others. AI technology can help improve decision-making based on data, reduce human error, and increase efficiency. However, it also poses risks, such as data security and job replacement. To ensure the wise use of AI, it is crucial to observe AI ethics, protect user data and privacy, avoid discrimination, and ensure system security. The research problem is formulated to answer questions such as the benefits and risks of using ChatGPT, its optimal use, and its role in education. The purpose of the research is to describe the benefits, risks, and wise use of ChatGPT in the era of AI and to ensure its responsible use.

Abstract

The Novel 50 Riyals: The Other Side of Indonesian TKW in Saudi Arabia by Deni Wijaya is a work about the life of Muslim converts who work as TKW. In this novel it is quite interesting to study further scientifically the lives of women working abroad. Therefore, the writer is interested in studying the social values ​​contained in the novel 50 Riyals: The Other Side of Indonesian TKW in Saudi Arabia. The aims of this study were (1) to describe the social value of the main character's affection in the novel 50 Riyals on the Other Side of Indonesian TKW in Saudi Arabia by Deni Wijaya, (2) to describe the social value of the main character's social responsibility in the novel 50 Riyals on the Other Side of Indonesian TKW in Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia by Deni Wijaya, and (3) describing the social value of harmony in the life of the main character in the novel 50 Riyals The Other Side of Indonesian TKW in Saudi Arabia by Deni Wijaya. This research uses a descriptive qualitative research type. The data was taken from reading the novel 50 Riyals: The Other Side of Indonesian TKW in Saudi Arabia by Deni Wijaya. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out using the reading and note-taking method, and then identified and analyzed based on the theory of sociology of literature. This study discusses the social values ​​contained in the novel 50 Riyals: Another Side of Indonesian TKW in Saudi Arabia by Deny Wijaya. The researcher found: (1) there were 10 data of social values ​​of affection, 2 data of devotion, 4 data of kinship, 1 data of caring, and 4 data of loyalty. (2) the value of social responsibility as much as 10 data including, a sense of belonging to each other as much as 3 data, empathy as much as 1 data, and discipline as much as 6 data. (3) there are 9 data on social harmony values, 7 data on tolerance, and 2 data on democracy.

Abstract

This study aims to describe (1) the value of character education in Tere Liye's Novel Si Anak Savana (2) the implications for learning literature in high school.This study uses qualitative methods and types of library research. Qualitative research was used to describe the value of character education in Tere Liye's Novel Si Anak Savana and to describe its implications for teaching literature in high school. The results of the study were 14 values of character education and 28 quotes of character education values in Tere Liye's novel Si Anak Savana by Tere Liye. The 14 values of character education are: (1) Religious (form: obedient to worship, always pray, be grateful, believe, put your trust in and pray). (2) Honest (form: not lying) (3) Discipline (form: not delaying work). (4) Hard Work (its form: always trying and never giving up), (5) Independent (its form: not depending on other people) (6) Creative (its form: always having ideas and ideas) (7) Democratic (its form: expressing opinions ) (8) Curiosity (its form: curiosity), (9) Friendly (its form: always doing work together), (10) Peace-loving (its form: not wanting to fight), (11) Caring for the environment (its form : environmental cleanliness and natural preservation), (12) Social care (its form: helping others and social service). (13) Likes to read (form: likes to read) (14) Responsibility (form: obligation that must be carried out. The most dominant character education value in Tere Liye's novel Si Anak Savana by Tere Liye is the value of social care character education, and curiosity From the results of the analysis of the 28 values of character education in Tere Liye's novel Si Anak Savana, it can be implicated in teaching literature in class XI high school, according to KD 3.20 analyzing the messages from the two fiction books (novels and poetry) that have been read. , students can learn the value of character education.Students can also find the value of character education in novel.
