Abstract

Islamic boarding schools (pondok pesantren) are traditional educational institutions that play a significant role in shaping the character of students through in-depth Islamic education. The childcare system in pondok pesantren encompasses three main patterns: authoritarian, permissive, and democratic. Authoritarian childcare emphasizes strict discipline and full authority of caregivers, while permissive patterns grant more freedom to students, and democratic patterns strike a balance between authority and freedom. This research employs a literature review method to gather data from various relevant literary sources. The concept of childcare in pondok pesantren involves training, habituation, and awareness to cultivate students' religious personality and noble character. The principles of childcare in pondok pesantren include exemplary behavior, affection, discipline, mental and spiritual guidance, potential development, self-reliance, togetherness, obedience to parents and teachers, community service, and love for the homeland. Childcare models in pondok pesantren vary from authoritarian, democratic, to permissive, each with its own characteristics and impact on student development. Supporting factors for childcare in pondok pesantren include parental interest and trust, strict rules, character-based curriculum, and caregivers' enthusiasm in educating. Conversely, inhibiting factors include parental coercion and interference with pesantren rules. Efforts to overcome these obstacles involve parental understanding, rule socialization, caregiver capacity building, and cooperation among caregivers. Islamic childcare principles emphasize religious values, while national childcare principles focus on conditioning a safe, comfortable, and engaging environment for children.

This study used narrative literature review to provide a more comprehensive overview of how Islamic teachings and principles has put environment as important as the well-being of mankind. This article shows that Islam views environment as an important element in life sustainability. Quranic verses, hadith and Islamic jurisprudence perceive environmental preservation as not only a matter of individual ethic but also considered it as religious obligation. The five dharuriyyat in Maqasid Shariah also are strongly associated with environmental preservation and plays a big role in achieving its of each maqasid. Thus, it is concluded that environmental preservation is indeed a holistic responsibility to every person on earth where the condition of environment is depending on the human’s action and behavior. If the humans govern the earth with good regulations then the well being of environment is highly guaranteed. Likewise, the corruption and humans’ greed will cause damages to the earth.

Abstract

Education is essential for knowledge transfer and holistic individual development. A key factor in effective education is recognizing individual differences in physical, intellectual, and psychological aspects. Islam views human diversity as part of Allah’s will, emphasizing respect and cooperation, as highlighted in Surah Ar-Rum (30:22) and Surah Al-Hujurat (49:13). Islam also advocates for education tailored to individual capacities. Psychology reinforces this perspective, emphasizing the role of cognitive abilities, learning styles, and motivation in education. Theories like Gardner’s multiple intelligences and Tomlinson’s differentiated instruction highlight the need for personalized learning approaches. Using a qualitative library research method, this study finds that both Islamic and psychological perspectives support inclusive and adaptive education. Integrating these insights enables educators to design curricula that maximize each student's potential, fostering a knowledgeable and ethical generation

Abstract

The Indonesian Government Regulation No. 39 of 2021 mandates halal certification for all food and beverage products, including those produced by MSMEs. This study explores the readiness of MSMEs in Bogor Regency to comply with this regulation and identifies key challenges they face. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through semi-structured interviews with MSME owners, government officials, and halal certification body representatives. The findings reveal low readiness among MSMEs, primarily due to limited knowledge, financial constraints, and infrastructural inadequacies. Although initiatives such as the self-declare scheme and digital platforms have improved accessibility, effectiveness remains hampered by a lack of awareness and technical support. The study highlights the importance of stakeholder collaboration and recommends enhancing training, simplifying procedures, and expanding financial and infrastructural support.
