Abstract

Religious knowledge, religious attitude, and religious behavior of student were influenced by formal and non formal education. In the senior high school, Rohis have a big role to transfer knowledge, attitude, and religious behavior of students. With qualitative approach, this research aims to describe knowledge, attitude, and religious behavior of Senior High School students (SMA) and mentoring network of Rohis SMA at Sukoharjo District. This research found that religious concept according to students in the Sukoharjo District is diverse. They join with different organizations such as NU, Muhammadiyah, MTA, and LDII. In general, religious attitude of students are tolerance. Religious behavior is reflected in their daily activities which are categorized as in good category. Mentoring network of Rohis SMA shows three models: (1) teacher model, this model includes Islamic religious education teacher or coach of Rohis, (2) Student model, this type is through alumni or joining with student activity unit, and (3) Society model, this mentoring was held by NGO like LPR Pioner and LPP Gemilang.

Abstract

This article presented the results of research on the Integration of Learning Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah (MDT) to Schools. This research was motivated by the existence of such as fierce controversy among the public regarding the enactment regulation of Minister of Education and Culture Regulation Number. 23 of 2017 concerned School Day. The study was a case study conducted at the Cisaat State Primary School (SDN) Sukabumi District, West Java Province. Data collection techniques combine field observations, in-depth interviews and documentation studies. Inductive data analysis yields some conclusions as follows: first, the integration of MDT learning in Cisaat Elementary School is done through an integrative and collaborative model. Second, the integration model of MDT learning in the new Cisaat Elementary School in the form of curriculum content and empowerment of some MDT teachers, not in the form of learning facilities or facilities. Third, the motivation of MDT managers, the spirit of the Diniyah Takmilyah Communication Forum (FKDT) board, and the existence of Regional Regulations (Perda) and Regent Regulations (Perbup) are supporting factors for the integration of learning. Whereas the limitations of facilities and infrastructure as well as the absence of special MDT supervisors have an effect on the implementation of learning on MDT to be less professional.

Abstract

Indonesia is facing two strategic issues concerning religion and its relation to Pancasila as the state ideology; radicalism in the name of religion (Islam) and Islamism movement to replace state ideology with caliphate. In response, the government uses hard power (repressive approach) and soft power (preventive efforts) through de-radicalization policy. However, it has not been able to eliminate radicalism threat yet because of lack of civil society involvement. This article offers a collaboration model to make de-radicalization policy to be more optimal to implement so that these would no longer be a serious issue in Indonesia. Pesantren with salafiyyah-aswaja typology is positioned to be a subject because of its great influence on government policy. The design of this study was a descriptive qualitative research in which the data were collected through interviews and observations in five big pesantrens in Lampung province. The result showed that the relationships between government and pesantrens tends to be constructive pattern which in turn pesantrens are not well developed and the determining aspects of collaboration are not fully identified. The core of this model is that the collaboration success in a policy is influenced by some factors such as good initial condition, consultative institution design, leadership facilitation, mutually actors’ preferences, and policy contents that are substantially well understood by collaborators

Abstract

Etnis   Tionghoa   sering   mendapat   stigma   negatif   sebagai   warga   negara Indonesia,  karena     dianggap  kurang  memiliki  rasa  nasionalisme  terhadap NKRI. Etnis Tionghoa dianggap memiliki kecenderungan mempertahankan ajaran Konfusianisme yang berbeda dengan keyakinan masyarakat lokal, meskipun telah lama mukim di Indonesia. Fenomena tersebut berusaha diteliti dengan menggunakan paradigma kualitatif-fenomenologi untuk mengungkap kontekstualisasi ajaran Konfusianisme dalam membangun nilai-nilai nasionalisme. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa ajaran Konfusianisme memuat nilai-nilai cinta tanah air sejak kecil, bermula dari penanaman moral yang luhur, berbakti pada orang tua, leluhur, dan hormat kepada orang yang lebih tua. Proses aktualisasi nilai-nilai cinta tanah air dalam Konfusianisme adalah penguatan moral generasi muda agar tidak mudah terkikis oleh perilaku yang merusak tatanan sosial dan tatanan bernegara dan penguatan integrasi etnis Tionghoa dalam kerangka NKRI dengan struktur masyarakat yang majemuk.Kata kunci: Etnis Tionghoa, Konfusianisme, kontekstualisasi, aktualisasi, nasionalisme.

Abstract

Keragaman yang ada di  Indonesia tak jarang menjadi wahana konflik horizontal. Sebagai contoh misalnya konflik yang membawa nama agama. Dunia pendidikan pun tak lepas dari permasalahan yang berkaitan dengan keragaman agama. Untuk itu, diperlukan pengelolaan keragaman. Tulisan ini menganalisis berbagai praktik pengelolaan keragaman agama yang ada di sekolah-sekolah. Berdasarkan suatu penelitian kualitatif dengan FGD sebagai teknik pengumpulan data, tulisan ini menemukan bahwa ragam praktik pengelolaan keragaman agama di sekolah mencakup aspek-aspek: kurikulum, ekstrakurikuler, kokurikuler, sarana dan prasarana, pengelolaan kelas, rekrutmen GTK, acara selebrasi, dan aksi sosial. Faktor-faktor yang berkontribusi terhadap lahirnya praktik-praktik tersebut yaitu intervensi dari kepala daerah, intervensi dari organisasi nonpemerintah, intervensi tokoh agama, visi lembaga, dan inisiatif guru. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, tulisan ini mengemukakan empat model pengelolaan keragaman agama di sekolah; yaitu model normatif, mandiri, maju, dan inovatif.

Abstract

Kiai has been perceived as a respected figure and a model for society in which they  have important roles in empowering community. After the reformation era, in 1998,  the new situation has encouraged changes in many walks of life such as social, culture and politics of relationship between kiai and community. This paper aims to explore people’s perception on the roles of kiai in empowering religious life in Purworejo district, Central Java province. This study exercises a qualitative approach. The results show that there is positive perception of people toward the roles of kiai in empowering religious life. This is because most people followed Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaa’ah school of thought, people are actively involved in religious gathering (majlis taklim), and they have experiences as santri (students) of pesantren (Islamic boarding school). On the other hand, few people mention that kiai have negative roles in empowering religious life, especially on enhancing people’s faith. This might be, because some people do not understand the concept of kiai, whereas other people appraise kiai objectively as a common person who has some weaknesses, therefore their behavior sometimes do not fit with the religious teaching.

Abstract

Senior high school students are the most vulnerable group to be infiltrated by radicalism. In order to prevent it, tolerance is included into the 18 values of Indonesian character education that need to be internalized in Indonesian students. This study aims to explore the level of religious tolerance among Muslim students in senior high school, as the majority religion, especially in the aspects of faith and muamalah. This research was a descriptive research with a quantitative approach using a Cross-Sectional Survey. The research was conducted in all the state senior high schools in Cimahi City with 707 respondents. Respondents were given a closed questionnaire using a Likert scale. The results showed that in general, 92.94% of state high school students in the city of Cimahi have a fairly good tendency towards religious tolerance; even 289 (40.88%) students were in the 'very high' category. However, there are still a small number of students who have a low level of tolerance, namely 48 (6.79%) students and it was very unfortunate that 2 (0.28%) students were detected as intolerant. The conclusion is the level of religious tolerance of Muslim students at state senior high schools in Cimahi City is already quite good, but it needs to be improved.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPertumbuhan masjid bertambah dari tahun ke tahun. Pemerintah pada tahun 2014 telah menetapkan syarat-syarat minimal pengelolaan masjid sesuai tipologinya yaitu dari tingkat pusat hingga tingkat desa. Di antara fungsi masjid yang disarankan pemerintah selain menjalankan kepentingan ibadah ritual adalah menjadi sarana ibadah sosial di bidang ekonomi, pendidikan, sosial budaya, dan lainnya. Penelitian ini dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif mengungkap persepsi masyarakat terhadap variabel X (pengelolaan masjid) (jami di tingkat desa/kelurahan) dan variabel Y (pemberdayaannya umat) serta mengukur besaran pengaruhnya di Kab. Ponorogo dan Kab. Bojonegoro. Persepsi masyarakat terhadap pengelolaan masjid di kedua Kabupaten secara umum dapat dikatakan sudah baik demikian pula pada pemberdayaan umat. Hasil data memperlihatkan bahwa persepsi masyarakat terhadap dua variabel di Ponorogo lebih baik dari Bojonegoro meskipun hanya berselisih 2% dan 10%.  Hasil pengukuran pengaruh (regresi) pengelolaan masjid terhadap pemberdayaan umat di kedua Kabupaten menyatakan bahwa korelasi kedua variabel cukup kuat. Besaran pengaruh pengelolaan masjid terhadap pemberdayaan umat sebesar 53% untuk Ponorogo dan 54% untuk Bojonegoro. Catatan yang ditemukan dari penelitian adalah masih adanya kelemahan pada aspek pengorganisasian dan pelaksanaan dalam variabel pengelolaan masjid, serta aspek pengorganisasian lokal masyarakat pada pemberdayaan umat. Secara umum, masjid dinilai masih kurang dalam memperhatikan pemberdayaan ekonomi jamaah serta kajian untuk remaja.Kata Kunci: pengelolaan masjid, pemberdayaan umat, pengaruh, persepsi

Abstract

Mankind and environment has very intimate relationship in the perspective of Humans and the environment have a very close relationship in Islamic perspective. Both are creatures created by Allah in this universe. Such view becomes a local knowledge for people wrapped in the form of myths. One of the myths in Brebes is the Pemali river myth that was seen as having relevance to this view. This article reveals the meaning of the Pemali river myth and its relevance to Islamic environmental ethics. The study used a qualitative approach in which data were obtained from the field through semi-structured interviews that focus on the questions have been prepared before. This study found that the existence of Pemali river myth makes people believe in the existence of supernatural powers in the Pemali river environment, so that it has a good effect on their attitude in treating it. Thus, the community actually carry out the responsibility as the caliph of Allah, because Allah did not create nature only for the benefit of humans, but also all the species in it. This has a positive impact on people’s behavior towards the environment.

Abstract

Umat  Islam  di  Indonesia  secara  sosial  terpilah  dalam  berbagai  konfigurasi  sosial seperti etnisitas, aliran pemikiran, oganisasi keagamaan, dan sebagainya. Penelitian ini mengungkapkan dinamika hubungan intern umat Islam dala konteks relasi agama dan budaya. Penelitian yang dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif ini dilakukan di provinsi Jawa Tengah, Jawa Timur, dan Kalimantan Tengah. Dinamika hubungan intern umat Islam di tiga wilayah ini menunjukkan tiga pola relasi, yaitu relasi agama dan tradisi lokal, relasi agama dan etnisitas, serta relasi agama dan pemikiran keagamaan. Dalam ketiga relasi tersebut kohesi sosial yang paling kuat dalam hubungan intern umat Islam adalah relasi agama dan tradisi lokal. Sementara dua bentuk relasi lainnya masih menyisakan interaksi dissosiatif  pada hubungan intern umat Islam. Relasi agama dan budaya dapat dijadikan strategi dalam upaya membanun kerukunan intern umat beragama secara umum. Kata kunci: Relasi sosial, Islam, agama, budaya.
