Abstract

This study presents the findings of a qualitative investigation that explores the leadership styles of female principals at two madrasah tsanawiyah (MTs) in Sukabumi Regency. Using a multi-site case study approach, the research reveals that the dominant leadership practices are participative and transformational in nature. Female principals demonstrate strong abilities in fostering open communication, prioritizing collaboration, and providing motivation through empathetic and humanistic approaches. The findings also indicate that although the principals successfully cultivate supportive school environments, they continue to face challenges rooted in patriarchal culture and gender stereotypes that limit their authority and decision-making capacity. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and systematic document analysis. The results show that the leadership roles of female principals are significantly influenced by the local socio-cultural context, including societal perceptions of women in leadership. Nevertheless, their approaches effectively foster harmonious relationships, enhance teacher performance, and create inclusive learning environments. This study contributes empirical insights to the literature on gender-based educational leadership at the madrasah level, particularly within local contexts characterized by strong religious-cultural values. The findings provide a solid foundation for developing policies and training programs that support female leadership in education, and serve as a critical reference in promoting gender equality in school leadership practices.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the extent to which the role play method can enhance the speaking skills of eighth-grade students at SMP Insan Madani in English language learning. Speaking is one of the essential components of language proficiency and often poses a challenge for students, particularly in terms of fluency, pronunciation, and self-confidence. The role play method was chosen due to its ability to foster an engaging, active, and contextual learning environment. The research applied a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and pre- and post-tests of students' speaking abilities. The findings revealed significant improvements in students’ fluency, confidence in expressing opinions, and mastery of vocabulary and sentence structures. Consequently, the role play method has proven effective in enhancing speaking skills and is recommended as an alternative instructional strategy for English language teaching at the junior high school level.

Abstract

This community service program aims to strengthen the image and improve the digital marketing of Podeng cake, a traditional culinary product native to Tigaraksa, Tangerang Regency. Activities included workshops on packaging design, storytelling for branding, and hands-on digital marketing sessions using social media and e-commerce platforms. The results showed a significant increase in the producers' understanding of market trends, improved product packaging, and enhanced online presence. Academics played a strategic role not only as knowledge providers but also as collaborators in transforming a local food product into a marketable brand. This initiative highlights the importance of university-community partnerships in preserving local heritage while promoting inclusive economic development.

Abstract

Kue Podeng is a traditional cake made from wheat flour, grated coconut, and sugar. It is relatively simple to prepare: the mixed dough is poured into molds and cooked until done. This culinary product is well known among the residents of Tigaraksa, Tangerang Regency, as it is an original local delicacy that has been around for decades. Currently, the business is managed by the third generation of the family. In terms of taste, kue podeng is sweet with a soft texture, and its price remains highly affordable for the local community. Despite being the only business that produces and sells this product in the area, the development of the kue podeng micro, small, and medium enterprise (UMKM) appears stagnant. Like all business actors—whether on a small or large scale the goal is to grow the business and generate profit, which ultimately contributes to the welfare of the entrepreneurs. This study aims to examine strategies to improve the marketing of this UMKM through a detailed analysis using the 7P marketing mix (Product, Price, Place, Promotion, People, Process, and Physical Evidence). The research is based on qualitative data collected through field interviews and observations. The findings are expected to provide significant contributions to the marketing development of Kue Podeng Enin and offer valuable insights for stakeholders, including UMKM actors, the government, investors, and the broader community. This research is categorized as field research, where data is collected directly from the site by observing various relevant issues. The study was conducted at UMKM Kue Podeng Enin, located in Tigaraksa District, Tangerang Regency. Data collection methods included field observation, interviews, and documentation, with interviews serving as the primary research instrument.

Abstract

This study is a quasi-experimental research aimed at describing the effect of implementing Project-Based Management Learning on mathematical problem-solving using Standard Indonesian in Grade V at SDN Neg. 1 Tigaraksa. The sample consisted of 28 fifth-grade students from SDN Neg. 1 Tigaraksa, Tangerang Regency, in the even semester of the 2021/2022 academic year, divided into two classes: VA and VB. The study was conducted over six sessions in both the experimental and control classes. Data collection techniques included student learning outcome tests through pretests and posttests, as well as observation results. Data analysis techniques consisted of descriptive analysis and inferential analysis, which included normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing. The collected data were analyzed using both descriptive and inferential statistical methods. The results showed that: (1) the average learning outcome score of students in the experimental class was 83.4 with a standard deviation of 7.1, and (2) the average learning outcome score of students in the control class was 70.1 with a standard deviation of 8.4. The results of inferential statistical analysis indicated that the obtained t-test (sig 2-tailed = 0.000 < 0.05) led to the rejection of H0 and acceptance of Ha, meaning that the experimental learning method was proven to be more effective than conventional learning.
