Abstract

This study examines the implementation of public service ethics at the Regional Civil Service Agency (BKD) of West Sumatra Province as an effort to achieve good governance. Good public service ethics contribute to enhancing service quality and transparency in personnel administration. The findings indicate that BKD has implemented various standard operating procedures (SOPs) and communication strategies, including the use of social media, to improve information access and responsiveness to complaints. Despite challenges such as maladministration and insufficient socialization, BKD is committed to improving services and building trust among the public and civil servants.

Abstract

This study aims to determine 1) the level of suitability of wet-rice land on food agricultural land in Tanah Datar Regency, 2) existing land cover in Tanah Datar Regency and 3) potential wet-rice land development areas in Tanah Datar Regency. The method used is a descriptive approach with quantitative research. Data was processed using fuzzy logic, supervised classification, and spatial data analysis. The results of this study show 1) Tanah Datar Regency has 3 levels of land suitability with an index value of 0-0.59 which is classified at the level of unsuitable to less suitable for rice paddy agricultural crops, with an area of 7,583.9 Ha with a percentage of 5.5%. The second category of land suitability with an index value of 0.6-0.79 is classified as moderately suitable to suitable, with an area of 98,955.7 Ha with a percentage of 71.8%. The third category of land suitability with an index value of 0.8-1.0 which is classified as moderately - highly suitable for wetland agricultural crops, with an area of 31,267.7 Ha with a percentage of 22.7% of the total area of the study site. 2) Analysis of existing land cover using Landsat 8 satellite images in 2023 in Tanah Datar District shows that the structure of land cover in 2023 is as follows: dense vegetation cover covering 93,385.5 Ha with a percentage of 67.9%, followed by agricultural land covering 35,630.6 Ha with a percentage of 25.8%, settlements covering 1,828.3 Ha with a percentage of 1.4%, open land covering 137.6 Ha with a percentage of 0.09%, and waters.

Abstract

Attendance is an important element in the lecture system, but it is usually still done manually using attendance books and lists. This manual method is often inefficient in monitoring teacher discipline in terms of attendance and return time. To solve this problem, technologies such as Internet of Things (IoT) and radio frequency identification (RFID) offer a more efficient and accurate solution. IoT allows physical objects to connect to the internet for data exchange, and RFID can be used for automatic identification. This research aims to design an IoT-based lecturer attendance system using RFID and first-in-first-out (FIFO) algorithms. This system is expected to improve the accuracy and efficiency of the instructor attendance process and replace the existing manual method.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Utilitarian Value, Hedonic Value, and Social Value on Continuance Purchase Intention mediated by Trust in Streamer on TikTok Shop Live Streaming. The population in this study consists of TikTok Shop app users who have made purchases through the TikTok Shop app. The sampling technique used in this research is purposive sampling. The sample size for this study is 132 respondents. Data was collected through the online distribution of questionnaires and processed using SmartPLS software. The results of this study indicate that (1) Utilitarian Value positively influences Trust in Streamer on TikTok Shop Live Streaming. (2) Hedonic Value positively influences Trust in Streamer on TikTok Shop Live Streaming. (3) Social Value positively influences Trust in Streamer on TikTok Shop Live Streaming. (4) Trust in Streamer positively influences Continuance Purchase Intention on TikTok Shop Live Streaming. (5) Utilitarian Value positively influences Continuance Purchase Intention mediated by Trust in Streamer on TikTok Shop Live Streaming. (6) Hedonic Value positively influences Continuance Purchase Intention mediated by Trust in Streamer on TikTok Shop Live Streaming. (7) Social Value positively influences Continuance Purchase Intention mediated by Trust in Streamer on TikTok Shop Live Streaming.

Abstract

MTs Al Ittihad, located in Malang Regency, East Java, faces serious challenges related to bullying, both physical and through social media (cyberbullying). Malang Regency has reported 65 cases of bullying, an increase from 42 cases in 2021. The causes of bullying can be categorized into two groups: internal and external factors. Internal factors include the inability to manage emotions, where individuals with trauma, such as victims of broken homes, tend to express anger and frustration through bullying behavior. External factors encompass environment, peer relationships, and family; for instance, if someone grows up in an environment that promotes violence, they are more likely to engage in bullying. With the advancement of technology, bullying now occurs not only physically but also on digital platforms, known as cyberbullying. Actions like negative comments on social media can disrupt the mental well-being of victims and diminish their concentration in learning. To address this issue, a community service team is implementing the program “Introduction to Digital Technology and Online Ethics Through POSASI (Educational Posters).” This program aims to create a safe and inclusive school environment, reminding students of the importance of respecting differences, protecting one another from cyberbullying, and fostering a positive culture among MTs Al Ittihad students.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are: (1) To analyze the extent of changes in the use of rice field agricultural land in X Koto District in the period of 2005-2014 and the period of 2014-2023, (2) To analyze the carrying capacity of rice field agricultural land in X Koto District for the period of 2005-2014 and the period of 2014-2023. This type of research uses a quantitative descriptive method with secondary analysis. The data used are secondary data in the form of Landsat 7 ETM Satellite Imagery in 2005, Landsat 8 OLI Imagery in 2014 and 2023, as well as data on the area of rice harvested land, the number of population, and the average rice production in X Koto District for the period of 2005-2014 and the period of 2014-2023. The data analysis technique uses Supervised Classification. The analysis of changes in rice field agricultural land in this study uses the overlay technique. The researcher found: (1) The area of rice field agricultural land in 2005 was 1973.40 ha, then in 2014 it decreased to 1513.15 ha with a reduction rate of 23.32%. In 2023, the area of paddy field agricultural land will decrease again to 1265.76 ha with a reduction rate of 16.34%. (2) In the period of 2005-2014, the carrying capacity of rice field agricultural land in X Koto District was 1.74 and the period of 2014-2023 was 1.89. X Koto District is an area with food self-sufficiency, where the area is able to meet the basic needs of the community, but has not been able to provide a decent life for its residents.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the lack of student understanding in the online learning process through the e-learning platform in the Research Methodology course and the absence of an evaluation of the effectiveness of using the e-learning platform in the learning process. The purpose of this study is to determine the evaluation of the e-learning platform in the Research Methodology course using the CIPP evaluation model which includes Context, Input, Process, and Product. Overall, the results of this study indicate that the e-learning platform has a positive impact on Research Methodology learning. Although all aspects are in the good category, the percentage value of each aspect is still close to the lower limit of the category, so there is still room for further improvement to increase the effectiveness of learning as a whole.

Abstract

This study aims to accurately describe how school management and library development are implemented at SMAN 1 Kualuh Selatan, with a focus on the library's role as part of the educational process. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method, collecting data through in-depth interviews, direct observations, and documentation. Information was gathered from various informants, including the principal, library managers, teachers, and students, to provide a deeper understanding of school and library management. For data analysis, this study follows the steps outlined by Miles and Huberman: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that management at SMAN 1 Kualuh Selatan focuses on human resource management, budgeting and financing, as well as facilities and infrastructure, including the library. It was found that the school’s human resources are well-managed, though there are challenges in library development that still require improvements, particularly in collection and staffing. Supporting factors for library development include stakeholder collaboration, literacy activities, and government policies, while the primary constraint is the limited number of professional staff. This study concludes that while significant efforts have been made in library development at SMAN 1 Kualuh Selatan, there is still a need for improvements in resource qualification and collection management to ensure the library can optimally support the school’s educational goals.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the role of the Tigo Luhah Semurup Traditional Institution in resolving inherited land disputes in Semurup, as well as revealing the supporting and inhibiting factors of the Tigo Luhah Semurup Traditional Institution in resolving inherited land disputes in Semurup. The type of research used is qualitative research with descriptive methods. Determining research informants was carried out using a purposive sampling technique, namely informants were determined by researchers to obtain the required information, namely informants who were considered to know, understand and have experience related to this research. Data collection techniques and tools are carried out by means of observation, interviews and documentation. The tools used were observation sheets, interview guides, and cameras. Testing the validity of the data uses source triangulation. Data analysis techniques are data collection, data reduction, data display and drawing conclusions.The results of the research show that the role of the Tigo Luhah Semurup traditional institution in resolving land disputes, it has been very good, this can be seen from the fact that almost all disputes resolved in traditional institutions have been successful, as for the role of the Tigo Luhah Semurup traditional institution as a mediator, facilitator and decision maker. Then there are several factors that hinder the Tigo Luhah Semurup traditional institution in carrying out its role, including; 1) Difficulty in calling/inviting disputing parties to deliberation, 2) Limited budget so that the customary justice process does not run optimally, 3) low commitment from members of traditional institutions in resolving disputes.. However, there are several supporting factors for the Tigo Luhah Semurup traditional institution in carrying out its role, including; 1) the presence of experts and intellectuals in the dispute resolution process, 2) good communication head of traditional institutions, 3) the existence of social legitimacy for the Tigo Luhah Semurup traditional institution.

Abstract

B.J. Habibie is an inspirational figure who cannot be separated from his significant contribution to advancing education and technology in Indonesia. B.J. Habibie can be a role model as a means of education and motivation to foster students' enthusiasm for learning. This needs to be considered, because the spirit of learning is important for students to have in influencing the learning process. The methods applied are, namely video viewing, lecture methods, discussions and questions and answers. The approach used is Service Learning which includes three main elements including reality, reflection, and reciprocal relationships. The service will be held on September 24, 2024 at SMAN 2 Palangka Raya. The results of service activities in fostering students' enthusiasm for learning through a video program showing inspirational stories of B.J. Habibie's life journey in pursuing education and realizing his dreams.
