Abstract

The development of information technology has encouraged organizations to shift manual administrative processes to digital systems to improve work efficiency and accuracy. Internship administration activities at PT Telkom Akses, particularly the management of letters and documentation related to internship activities, were previously carried out manually, which could lead to process delays, data duplication, and the risk of document loss. This study aimed to design and implement a web-based Information System for Internship Letter Administration and Activity Documentation at PT Telkom Akses. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method, while system development was carried out using the Waterfall Model, which includes the stages of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis involving administrative staff, field supervisors, and internship students. The results show that the developed system is able to integrate the management of letter administration and internship activity documentation into a single digital platform, thereby improving the efficiency of administrative processes, the accuracy of record-keeping, as well as the security and traceability of documents. Accordingly, this information system is considered effective in supporting a more structured and sustainable management of internship administration at PT Telkom Akses.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the fact that many micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) have not yet prepared financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards due to limited knowledge and resources, as seen in the case of the Kerupuk Spesial Tamban business in Sei Lekop, Bintan Regency, which still uses simple bookkeeping that does not comply with the Financial Accounting Standards for Micro, Small, and Medium Entities (SAK EMKM). This study aimed to prepare financial statements for the Kerupuk Spesial Tamban business in accordance with SAK EMKM, identify shortcomings in the existing accounting system, and formulate recommendations to improve the quality of financial reporting in order to support business development. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through interviews, observation, and documentation related to production activities, costs, and financial transactions, which were subsequently analyzed through data reconciliation into the SAK EMKM format, including the statement of financial position, income statement, and notes to the financial statements. The findings show that the application of SAK EMKM produced more systematic, accurate, and informative financial statements, with a positive financial position indicated by assets exceeding liabilities and a significant net profit after adjustments. The preparation of SAK EMKM-based financial statements enhanced transparency and accountability, facilitated operational decision-making, and opened opportunities for access to financing, although full implementation remains constrained by limited human resources. The study concludes that the application of SAK EMKM contributes to improving the quality of financial reporting for MSMEs and recommends consistent daily bookkeeping and the strengthening of business owners’ accounting capacity to ensure business sustainability and growth.

Abstract

The development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) based on local potential is a crucial strategy for improving the welfare of rural communities, including MSMEs producing kerupuk rambak catfish crackers managed by the Joint Business Group (Kelompok Usaha Bersama, KUB) Rukun Makmur in Sobo Village. However, limited knowledge and skills among business actors in production processes and business management remain the main constraints on their development. This community service activity aimed to strengthen the capacity of MSME actors through community education grounded in andragogy. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach with a participatory design through training and production mentoring, with data collected via observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that all participants were actively involved in the production process, most participants found it easier to understand production stages through hands-on practice, and there was an observable improvement in the neatness and uniformity of the kerupuk rambak catfish products. These findings indicate that an andragogical approach is effective in supporting contextual and applied adult learning and has the potential to serve as a sustainable community education–based assistance model for village MSMEs.

Abstract

The tradition of prohibiting the playing of talempong when rice plants are bearing grain is a form of local wisdom that continues to be maintained by the community of Nagari Unggan, Sumpur Kudus Subdistrict, Sijunjung Regency, and is believed to be associated with belief in orang bunian, who are thought to cause the rice to become ampo (empty grain) if talempong is played during critical growth phases. This study aimed to describe this tradition and analyse the social, spiritual, and ecological meanings embedded within it. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation during the Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) community service program conducted from 17 June to 17 July 2025 in Nagari Unggan. Data were analysed using the Miles and Huberman model to organise, reduce, and present the findings systematically. The results show that the prohibition on playing talempong functions as a mechanism of social control, a form of respect for nature and ancestors, and an effort to protect rice crops during critical growth stages. This tradition also contains educational value for younger generations and remains relevant to be preserved amidst modernisation as part of strengthening local cultural identity and the community’s ecological ethics.

Abstract

Strategic environmental changes necessitate the sustainable management of coffee farming systems. As a high-value flagship commodity, coffee faces various challenges that trigger fluctuations in production and farmers’ income, making the study of coffee farming sustainability increasingly important. This study aimed to identify and analyze the sustainability of arabica coffee farming in Lembah Gumanti Subdistrict based on five sustainability dimensions—ecological, economic, social, technological and infrastructural, and institutional—while also identifying sensitive attributes that influence this sustainability. A quantitative approach was employed using simple random sampling of 60 arabica coffee farmers. The analysis was conducted using the Rapfish method through a multidimensional scaling (MDS) approach. The data comprised primary data collected through interviews with farmers and secondary data obtained from relevant agencies and literature. The multidimensional analysis showed that the sustainability status index of arabica coffee farming in Lembah Gumanti Subdistrict was 57.21, which falls into the moderately sustainable category. The sustainability indices by dimension indicated that the ecological dimension (69.15), economic dimension (75.00), and technological and infrastructural dimension (53.28) were in the moderately sustainable category, whereas the social dimension (47.27) and institutional dimension (38.35) were in the less sustainable category. Of the 26 indicators used, 10 were identified as sensitive attributes that significantly influenced the sustainability of arabica coffee farming. These findings underscore the importance of enhancing sustainability through targeted interventions focusing on these sensitive attributes in order to improve the index and sustainability status of arabica coffee farming in Lembah Gumanti Subdistrict.

Abstract

Religious harmony in multicultural settings is determined not only by the absence of open conflict, but also by institutional capacity to manage differences in a sustainable manner. The Forum Kerukunan Umat Beragama (FKUB) of Rejang Lebong Regency faces several challenges, including low diversity literacy at the grassroots level, budget dependence on the local government, limited youth regeneration, and weak adaptation to challenges in the digital sphere. This study aimed to map the dynamics and challenges of the role of FKUB Rejang Lebong in maintaining interreligious harmony. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, using passive observation during the Praktik Pengalaman Lapangan (PPL) program activities, semi-structured interviews with FKUB board members and religious leaders, and institutional document analysis. The findings show that FKUB Rejang Lebong plays a strategic role as a mediator in conflicts related to houses of worship, a facilitator of interfaith dialogue, and a provider of technical recommendations for licensing; however, the effectiveness of these roles is constrained by dependence on grant-based funding, low youth participation in the Forum Pemuda Lintas Agama (FPLA), and the limited production of narratives of religious moderation in the digital sphere. The study concludes that harmony in Rejang Lebong remains at the level of negative peace, thus requiring more inclusive and participatory institutional strengthening to achieve substantive harmony. The implications of this research include recommendations for the application of an Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach and the enhancement of digital literacy and strategies to reinforce the role of FKUB in responding to contemporary socio-religious dynamics.

Abstract

Oil palm is one of Indonesia’s key plantation commodities, producing edible oil, industrial oil, and biofuel (biodiesel) and contributing positively to economic and social development. This study aimed to: (1) analyze land suitability for oil palm in Ranah Batahan Subdistrict using fuzzy logic; and (2) determine oil palm productivity levels in Ranah Batahan Subdistrict. Land suitability analysis was conducted using a fuzzy logic approach to the area’s biophysical conditions, while oil palm productivity data were obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of Ranah Batahan Subdistrict. The results show that, based on land suitability analysis using fuzzy logic, land for oil palm cultivation in Ranah Batahan Subdistrict is classified into two categories: moderately suitable and highly suitable. The area categorized as moderately suitable covers 12,420.53 hectares (43.17%), whereas the highly suitable area extends over 17,174.79 hectares (56.83%) of the total area of Ranah Batahan Subdistrict. Oil palm production data indicate that Nagari Batahan Selatan is the nagari with the highest oil palm production, reaching 50 tons, while the lowest production is found in Nagari Desa Baru, at 10 tons. These findings confirm that most of Ranah Batahan Subdistrict has a high level of land suitability for oil palm development, while also revealing inter-nagari variation in productivity that is important to consider in planning and managing local oil palm development.

Abstract

The Batang Taluak Ambun Sub-watershed in West Pasaman Regency is characterized by varied topography and high rainfall, making it vulnerable to flash flood hazards. This study aimed to identify and analyze the physical characteristics and to map the flash flood hazard levels in the area. A descriptive quantitative research design was employed, with the study site located in the Batang Taluak Ambun Sub-watershed and the samples consisting of land units determined through purposive sampling in accordance with the research objectives. The results showed that the physical characteristics of the area include slope gradients ranging from flat to very steep; annual rainfall of 2,000–2,500 mm, which is classified as high; dominant soil types consisting of haplic Oxisols, district Gleysols, and hydric alluvial soils with good drainage; and land use dominated by forest in highland areas and dryland agriculture in hilly regions. The analysis of flash flood hazard levels for each land unit in the Batang Taluak Ambun Sub-watershed indicated three classes: high hazard (prone) in land units F1, Qh, Swh, I, AvlH; F1, Qh, Pmk, I, GlsD; F1, Qh, Plk, II, OksH; and V8, Tmv, Pmk, I, OksH; medium hazard (moderately prone) in land units V8, Tmv, Pmk, OksH; V8, Tmv, Htn, III, OksH; V6, Tmv, Plk, III, OksH; and V5, Tmv, Plk, II, OksH; and low hazard (not prone) in land units V6, Tmv, Htn, III, OksH; V5, Tmv, Plk, II, OksH; and V4, Tmv, Htn, II, OksH. These findings confirm that the combination of steep topography, high rainfall, soil properties, and land-use patterns contributes to the heightened vulnerability to flash floods, thereby necessitating land and regional management that is more adaptive to hydrometeorological risks.

Abstract

Although financial literacy and financial inclusion have been the focus of various studies and national policies, research that specifically addresses the strengthening of financial literacy, basic accounting, and early investment education among Generation Z in upper secondary education remains limited. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of financial literacy, accounting, and investment outreach and training activities in improving Generation Z’s understanding and readiness for financial decision-making. A qualitative approach was employed through a community service program designed around socialization and training activities, involving 130 students from SMA Negeri 1 Kembangbahu and SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Lamongan selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected using pre-test and post-test questionnaires, observations, and worksheet evaluations, and were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed an increase in students’ understanding of financial literacy, personal financial management, and the selection of legal investments aligned with their risk profiles. These findings contribute to the development of the concept of financial literacy among young people and broaden understanding of the importance of early financial education in the school context. The study concludes that implementing systematic financial literacy and investment education in secondary education is essential and recommends that schools and education policymakers integrate financial literacy into learning activities. The implications include theoretical contributions to the literature on Generation Z’s financial literacy and practical implications for educational institutions in building students’ financial readiness, while also opening opportunities for further research on the impact of financial literacy on Generation Z’s long-term financial behavior.

Abstract

The conflict surrounding the enforcement against street vendors (Pedagang Kaki Lima, PKL) on Jalan Permindo in Padang City began with the revocation of Padang Mayor’s Decree Number 438 of 2018 and the enactment of Padang Mayor’s Decree Number 644 of 2024 on Street Vendor Locations and Schedules, which removed the formal legality of Permindo street vendors without adequate socialization or relocation solutions. This study aimed to analyze the conflict over street vendor enforcement on Jalan Permindo resulting from changes in local government policy, focusing on the factors triggering the conflict, the dynamics of the conflict between street vendors and Satpol PP officers, and the impacts of enforcement on street vendors, regulatory officers, and the overall condition of the Permindo area. A qualitative approach with a descriptive–analytical design was employed, with data collected through interviews and documentation, and analyzed with reference to Randall Collins’s conflict theory. The findings show that the conflict over street vendor enforcement on Jalan Permindo constitutes a structural conflict triggered by policy changes enacted without effective communication and dialogue. Based on Randall Collins’s conflict theory, the conflict is shaped by ineffective symbolic interaction, power imbalances without meaningful participation of street vendors in decision-making, structural injustice in the relocation process, strong solidarity among street vendors, and divergent symbolic meanings of “order”—for the government—and “livelihood”—for the street vendors. The conflict has led to the loss of livelihoods for street vendors, disruption of public order, and a decline in economic activity in the Jalan Permindo area. These findings underscore that the design and implementation of street vendor enforcement policies must take into account structural justice, sustained communication, and meaningful participation of affected groups.
