Abstract

Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Darussalam Paiton faces challenges in utilizing digital technology in the learning process due to limited facilities and low digital literacy among students and teachers. This issue affects the optimal use of technology as a learning tool and the lack of parental support for technology-based education at home. To address these challenges, a community service program was implemented, consisting of digital literacy training and mentoring for MI Darussalam’s students and teachers. The program included training on the use of technology devices, integration of technology in learning, and socialization for parents on the importance of digital literacy. The results of this program showed a significant improvement in students' digital literacy understanding, teachers' ability to integrate technology into teaching, and increased awareness and support from parents. However, some students and parents still require additional assistance. Based on these findings, it is recommended that further training programs and increased access to technological resources at school and home be pursued to ensure the sustainability of the program.

Abstract

Leadership training and character education for teachers in assisted schools is carried out to improve the quality of education through increasing leadership abilities and instilling character values. As educators and classroom leaders, teachers have a major impact on students' intellectual and moral development. Therefore, this training is designed to provide the skills and knowledge needed so that teachers can become leaders and shape students' strong character and integrity. This program includes leadership theory, effective communication techniques, conflict management, getting to know one's identity, as well as strategies for developing student character according to the independent curriculum. The approach used combines active learning methods such as group discussions and case studies, so that teachers can apply the concepts learned in real contexts. The main focus is on developing student character through values ​​such as honesty, responsibility, empathy and cooperation. This training can improve the leadership competence of school principals and classroom teachers, create a positive school environment, and produce the next generation with strong character and harmony. Students are expected to be able to have better character in the future in knowing themselves, culture, the environment and nationalist spirit.

Abstract

The purpose of this reseach are : 1) To analyze the suitability of the actual land of dragon fruit plants in Tilatang Kamang District, 2) To analyze the distribution pattern of dragon fruit plantation in Tilatang Kamang Diztrict. This type of research uses a quantitative descriptive approach with the fuzzy logic method to analyze land suitability and Nearest Neighbor analysis to analyze the distribution pattern of dragon fruit plantation. The results of the reseach are: 1) The suitability of dragon fruit crops obtained using fuzzy logic analysis obtained the area for the value of the land suitability index of the category not less than 0 – 0,59 has an area of 1.393,75 Ha with a percentage of 26,63% and for the category index is quite suitable to 0,6 – 0,79 has an area of 3.840,52 Ha with a percentage of 73,34%. 2) The distribution pattern of dragon fruit orchards in Tilatang Kamang District is a grouping pattern with the value of Nearest Neighbor Ratio = 0,31.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the causes of land use change in the slum areas of Kandis Sub-district, Siak Regency, and analyze land use change from 2014 to 2023 using information maps. The method used is descriptive quantitative, with data analysis techniques based on weighting the quality of slum areas through geographic information systems (GIS) using GIS applications to identify location, distance, and settlement patterns. Sampling was done through proportional stratified random sampling. Data collection used primary data in the form of interviews and secondary data in the form of documentation studies. The results showed that: (1) The causes of land use change in Kandis Sub-district slum areas include an increase in population density every year, narrow spacing between buildings (1.5 to 3 meters), lack of clean water infrastructure, inadequate drainage, inadequate toilet conditions, and lack of waste disposal facilities. Community income is also low, below Rp. 1,000,000 per month. (2) The area of the slum area has increased significantly, from 0.27 Ha in 2014 to 9.6 Ha in 2023.

Abstract

This training aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Hand Movement method in teaching reading and writing of the Qur'an (BTQ) at the Al Ikhlas Qur'an Education Park (TPQ) in Padang Pariaman. The Hand Movement method, which integrates Hand Movement with the teaching of letters and tajwid, is expected to enhance the reading and writing skills of children in the TPQ. This training employs the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, a process aimed at scientifically studying issues to guide, improve, and evaluate. The PAR method is useful for addressing problems and fulfilling the practical needs of the community, as well as for the production of knowledge and social-religious change (Afandi, 2022). Data were collected through tests of reading and writing ability of the Qur'an and observations of the method's implementation. The results of the assistance indicate that the use of the Hand Movement method significantly improves the reading and writing skills of the students. Additionally, this method has also proven to enhance student motivation and engagement in the learning process. These findings contribute positively to the development of BTQ teaching methods at TPQ and can be applied in similar educational institutions to improve the effectiveness of Qur'an teaching.

Abstract

This research analyzes strategies for increasing sales of consumer buying interest at Eva Fashion traders, using a quantitative approach with a sample of 50 respondents selected through a purposive sampling method. Multiple linear regression analysis with a significance level of 5% shows that the three independent variables have a positive and significant influence on consumer purchasing interest, with product design as the most dominant factor (regression coefficient 0.458, p < 0.05), followed by product quality (0.325, p < 0.05) and product variance (0.217, p < 0.05). The research model produces an R2 value of 0.734, indicating that 73.4% of the variation in purchasing interest can be explained by these three variables, with the practical implication that Fashion Parking traders need to prioritize product design aspects while maintaining the quality and diversity of dance to increase business competitiveness.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the flood vulnerability level in the Kampar Kiri Sub-Watershed, Kampar Kiri District, as well as the extent of flood-prone areas impacting settlements in the region. The primary focus of this research is to understand the flood risk of the area and its effects on the existing settlements. The method applied in this study is Multi-Criteria Evaluation (MCE) using a Geographic Information System (GIS) approach. MCE is used to determine the weights of parameters affecting flood vulnerability and to select appropriate methods for analysis. This approach has proven effective and efficient in flood risk analysis, as demonstrated in previous studies. The parameters analyzed include slope, elevation, rainfall, soil type, land use, and distance from rivers, which are calculated using scoring methods and overlaid to produce a flood vulnerability map. The results indicate that the flood vulnerability level in the Kampar Kiri Sub-Watershed is categorized into three classes: not vulnerable, vulnerable, and highly vulnerable. The areas for each class are: not vulnerable with 16,854 hectares, vulnerable with 58,543 hectares, and highly vulnerable with 11,506 hectares. The extent of settlements in the vulnerability zones includes: vulnerable zone with an area of 277 hectares (approximately 20.83%), and highly vulnerable zone with an area of 1,054 hectares (approximately 79.17%). Based on these findings, it is recommended that the Kampar Kiri District government enhance land use planning to reduce flood risks, collaborate with the Kampar Public Works and Spatial Planning Office, and improve infrastructure such as drainage channels and flood protection embankments.

Abstract

The Qur'an serves as the primary guide for Muslims, providing guidance and values that need to be internalized in daily life. Reading skills of the Qur'an are very important; however, many students at SMAN 3 Palangka Raya still face difficulties in reading fluently. The aim of this community service is to enhance the students' ability to read the Qur'an through memorizing surahs that are recited before starting lessons via the One Day One Surah program. This program encourages students to read one surah every day, allowing them to master 30 surahs in a month. The method used in this service is Service Learning (SL), which is an approach based on direct experience. The results of this service indicate a significant improvement in students' Qur'an reading abilities after the One Day One Surah assistance was implemented. This is evidenced by the post-test data from class XI-9 obtained after the program was conducted, which shows that the number of students able to recite 22 surahs increased from 15 students, while those who could only recite 15 surahs decreased to 5 students. Furthermore, there was an increase in surah memorization in class XI-10, with data showing that the number of students able to recite 22 surahs rose to 16 students, while those who could only recite 15 surahs decreased to 3 students.

Abstract

Bullying is an issue that cannot be overlooked. It is a “sensitive problem” that impacts the development of children/students and is categorized as child delinquency, with cases that seem never-ending. One of the government's efforts to prevent and address juvenile delinquency is by implementing the Juvenile Criminal Justice System through Law No. 11 of 2012 concerning the Juvenile Criminal Justice System, which replaced Law No. 3 of 1997 on Juvenile Courts. However, the solution offered by the government, according to the author, should be avoided in addressing bullying issues, as it may affect the child's mental well-being in the long term. The method used in this study consists of several stages, including preparation, implementation, evaluation, and reflection. The program begins with delivering material, followed by training students to become anti-bullying agents, allowing the students themselves to promote and spread positive behavior to their peers, particularly in reducing bullying behavior. The results of this outreach program show that it was highly beneficial for the students, as they gained a wealth of new knowledge during the activities. This includes understanding the definition of bullying from a legal perspective in Indonesia, various forms of bullying against children, several factors causing bullying incidents, and steps or efforts to tackle bullying.

Abstract

Al wasliyah 2 private elementary school has been using printed leaflets to advertise various events and information about the school such as information on the admission of new students and information on other activities. However, with the increasing use of technology and the need for more effective communication, websites have become one of the identities of an institution or school in cyberspace. The purpose of this activity is to build a website-based online information system using the bootstrap framework. This application is designed using PHP and MySQL because it is web-based, this application has the ability to be accessed anywhere so that admins can edit and post content or information related to school information needs. The expected result is to replace print media so that various forms of information and activities are expected to be more neatly and efficiently arranged.
