Abstract

This community service activity aimed to enhance teachers’ capacity in supporting effective parenting at MIM Jagoan Boyolali through training in communication strategies and mentoring skills. The background of this initiative stems from the observed collaboration gap between teachers and parents, which affects the optimal academic and emotional development of students. The method employed consisted of a workshop utilizing lectures, simulations, and group discussions. The results indicated that teachers gained a better understanding of the importance of parenting, effective communication strategies, and their role as mediators between the school and the family. Practical simulations improved teachers’ confidence in engaging with parents, while group discussions created a collaborative space for formulating solutions to various child education challenges. Evaluation of the activity revealed positive responses from participants and led to the initiative of establishing a regular communication forum between teachers and parents. The conclusion of this program is that synergy between schools and families significantly contributes to strengthening support for student development, although limitations in parental involvement and participant reach were noted. The implications suggest that similar programs should be expanded and accompanied by continuous mentoring strategies to optimize teacher–parent collaboration.

Abstract

The limited number of studies on the application of Building Information Modeling (BIM)-based software in road geometry analysis, particularly in Central Papua with its diverse topography, underlies this research. Compliance of road geometry with national standards is crucial as it directly affects user safety and comfort. This study aims to analyze the geometric conformity of Jalan Leo Mamiri, Mimika Regency, using Autodesk Civil 3D software. A quantitative approach was applied through geometric modeling based on topographic survey data, analyzed using the horizontal alignment, vertical profile, and cross section features in Civil 3D. The findings show that several road segments do not meet geometric standards, especially at curves with small radii and longitudinal slopes exceeding the maximum threshold. These results highlight the importance of aligning road design with national standards to minimize traffic accident risks. The study concludes that Autodesk Civil 3D is effective as an analytical and visualization tool in road planning and evaluation. The implications include theoretical contributions in enriching the literature on modeling software applications in transportation engineering and practical contributions in providing recommendations for road planners, contractors, and local governments to support infrastructure development that is safe, efficient, and compliant with standards. Abstract

Bullying is a serious problem in education because it has negative effects on students’ psychological, social, and academic development, including at the primary education level such as MIS Ar-Rahman Desa Bahtangan, thereby underscoring the importance of appropriate prevention strategies. This study aims to describe the implementation of the Stop Bullying Education Program (Program Edukasi Stop Bullying) at MIS Ar-Rahman Desa Bahtangan and to analyze its effectiveness in enhancing students’ understanding and anti-bullying attitudes. The program was implemented through educational sessions, interactive discussions, and role-play simulations designed to cultivate understanding of the forms and impacts of bullying, strengthen empathetic attitudes, and develop students’ social skills. The findings indicate increased student knowledge regarding the forms and consequences of bullying, shifts in attitudes toward greater empathy, and higher levels of teacher engagement in building a safe school environment. The challenges encountered include limited time for implementation, the absence of written regulations, and insufficient parental support. Overall, the Stop Bullying Education Program proved effective in fostering anti-bullying awareness and has important implications for the sustainability of efforts to create a positive and child-friendly school climate.

Abstract

Students’ reading and writing literacy skills at MI Al-Islamiyah Karanganyar, Paiton, Probolinggo remain relatively low, with more than 60% of third- and fourth-grade students experiencing difficulties in fluent reading and composing simple sentences. This condition is influenced by the dominance of conventional, less interactive teaching methods and the limited use of engaging learning media. This study aims to improve literacy skills through a Student-Centered Learning approach combined with Learning by Playing in a community service program. The implementation stages included literacy needs assessment, development of modules and learning media, reading–writing training using Shared Reading and Creative Writing methods, implementation of interactive literacy games, and evaluation through pre-tests, post-tests, classroom observation, and teacher interviews. Data were analyzed descriptively, both quantitatively and qualitatively, by comparing literacy test scores before and after the program and interpreting observation results of student participation. The findings indicate significant improvement: fluent reading ability increased from 35% to 72%, the ability to write complete sentences rose from 28% to 65%, and active student participation grew from 50% to 85%. In addition, learning motivation improved, as reflected in students’ enthusiasm during literacy games. The study concludes that integrating student-centered methods with educational games is effective in enhancing basic literacy and can be replicated in other madrasahs or elementary schools with similar conditions.

Abstract

This community service initiative is grounded in the importance of strengthening literacy culture as a foundation for improving the quality of education in madrasah. The primary objective of the activity was to establish a pojok baca (reading corner) as a strategic facility to support literacy at MA Darul Ulum Palangka Raya. A participatory-collaborative method was employed, involving students, teachers, and learners throughout all stages—ranging from literacy needs assessment, planning, and implementation to evaluation. The reading corner was designed not only as a space for reading but also enhanced with religiously inspired motivational quotes to foster enthusiasm and reinforce the Islamic identity of the madrasah. The results indicated a positive response from students, reflected in increased reading enthusiasm and the emergence of a more conducive academic atmosphere. Collaboration among stakeholders further supported the sustainability of the program, demonstrating a significant impact on enhancing literacy culture and educational quality within the madrasah. The initiative concludes that simple innovations such as the reading corner can serve as an inspirational model for other educational institutions in building a sustainable and contextually relevant literacy ecosystem.

Abstract

The lack of studies on the digitalization of public services at the sub-district level forms the background of this research, despite evidence that digitalization significantly improves service quality and efficiency. This study aims to design and implement a web-based public service information system in Gebog Sub-District. The approach used is Research and Development (R&D) with the waterfall model. Five respondents were purposively selected, consisting of three government officials and two local residents. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and user satisfaction questionnaires, and analyzed descriptively. The results show that the developed information system reduced service time from 2–3 days to just 1 day. The average user satisfaction score reached 4.44 out of 5, with ease of access receiving the highest rating, while data security was identified as an area needing improvement. The study concludes that the web-based information system is effective in enhancing the efficiency and quality of public services at the sub-district level. The implications highlight the need to strengthen internet infrastructure, improve digital literacy among officials and citizens, and develop more robust system security features. This study contributes empirical insights to the e-government literature at the local level and opens opportunities for further research with a broader and more diverse respondent base.

Abstract

Intraoperative nausea and vomiting (IONV) is a common complication during sectio caesarea procedures under spinal anesthesia, primarily caused by hypotension resulting from sympathetic nerve blockade and vasodilation. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of deep breathing techniques in reducing the incidence of IONV among sectio caesarea patients at Ajibarang Regional General Hospital. A quasi-experimental quantitative method was employed, involving 30 respondents undergoing cesarean section. The intervention consisted of education and demonstration of deep breathing techniques administered before and after anesthesia. Data were collected using the Apfel Score to assess IONV risk and direct observation of nausea and vomiting events. The results showed that prior to the intervention, 70% of respondents experienced IONV, whereas after implementing the deep breathing technique, 96.7% of respondents did not experience nausea or vomiting. This significant reduction indicates that deep breathing is effective as a non-pharmacological method for minimizing complications during the intraoperative phase. The study concludes that deep breathing is a simple, cost-effective, and practical approach for reducing IONV, and it is recommended as part of perioperative nursing interventions. The implications support broader clinical adoption and integration into obstetric anesthesia protocols.

Abstract

The limited number of studies on digital marketing and branding strategies in faith-based secondary educational institutions serves as the background for this research, particularly considering their crucial role in enhancing school competitiveness in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. This study aims to analyze the implementation of digital marketing strategies through Instagram and the official website of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Surakarta in strengthening brand identity and shaping a positive public image of the school. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed, involving purposively selected participants comprising the principal, teachers, and public relations staff. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, field observations, and digital document analysis, and subsequently analyzed using Miles & Huberman’s interactive model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The main findings indicate that visual strategies and digital content distributed via Instagram and the school’s website play a significant role in building a positive image and enhancing public trust, despite identified weaknesses in message consistency and audience engagement. These findings support digital branding theory, which emphasizes the importance of integrating visual identity, institutional narrative, and technology-based communication strategies. The study concludes that synergy between the digital school concept and digital marketing is a key factor in achieving sustainable school competitiveness in the digital era. The implications of this research include theoretical contributions to the enrichment of digital branding studies within the context of secondary education, as well as practical recommendations for schools to strengthen digital content management, optimize search engine visibility, and maintain consistent visual identity across communication channels.

Abstract

This community service initiative was motivated by issues related to the manual attendance system at CV. Patriot Kencana Medika, which remains vulnerable to manipulation, inefficiency, and record-keeping errors—ultimately hindering effective human resource management. The program aimed to implement a web-based attendance information system integrating GPS location tracking and photo verification features to enhance transparency and efficiency in personnel administration. The approach used was participatory, involving training sessions, workshops, system development, and direct implementation within the company environment. Participants included administrators, human resource staff, and employees of CV. Patriot Kencana Medika. The results showed that participants were able to operate the system effectively following technical guidance and began to experience benefits such as improved data accuracy, ease of real-time attendance monitoring, and time efficiency in administrative reporting. Furthermore, the system's implementation successfully reduced potential attendance fraud and supported digital transformation efforts at the MSME level. The study concludes that training and implementing digital attendance systems can significantly improve human resource management quality and serve as a practical intervention model applicable to other MSMEs.

Abstract

Strengthening primary healthcare services through the Integrated Primary Healthcare Service Program (Integrasi Pelayanan Kesehatan Primer, ILP) constitutes a strategic component of the national health system transformation, aiming to improve access to and the quality of community-based health services across the life cycle. This study aims to analyze the implementation of ILP in Nagari Kasang, focusing on program execution, operational mechanisms, community participation, and the enabling and inhibiting factors affecting implementation effectiveness. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, with data collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation. Informants included health center staff, posyandu cadres, village government officials, and community service users. The findings indicate that the ILP implementation follows the Ministry of Health guidelines, yet faces several challenges, such as limited infrastructure, inadequate training for cadres, and suboptimal cross-sectoral coordination. Community participation is notably high among mothers and children but remains low among adolescents and the elderly. Based on David C. Korten’s implementation theory, the relationship between the program, implementing organization, and target groups reflects a partial fit, indicating a lack of synergy among the key actors. These findings highlight the need to enhance cadre capacity, strengthen the role of community health centers, and ensure active support from local government to achieve more effective and sustainable ILP implementation.
