Abstract

Sexual violence in Indonesia has increased significantly, both in terms of quantity and quality. Through a report from the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (KemenPPPA), more than 9,600 cases of violence against children were recorded in the period from January to May 2023. This increasing trend is largely due to the increasing courage of victims to report the incident. The main focus of this case is sexual violence, which includes rape, molestation, and sexual exploitation. West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), as an example, recorded 188 cases of sexual violence against children in 2021-2022, with types of incidents including rape and molestation. Involving various impacts, sexual violence damages the physical, emotional, and psychological aspects of the victim. Serious handling and in-depth understanding from various sectors are key to overcoming this problem. The involvement of Posyandu as a public health institution is a proactive solution to provide support and assistance to victims of sexual violence. Through training of Posyandu cadres in Banjar Village, Ampenan District, it is hoped that a responsive support network can be formed to address the issue of sexual violence at the community level. Collaboration with health, child protection, and mental health institutions is an integrated step that supports victim recovery. This service contributes to the understanding of the importance of the role of Posyandu in dealing with sexual violence and details the impacts and concrete solutions to improve prevention and recovery. The conclusions of this study provide a deeper understanding of the complexity of the issue of sexual violence and provide a basis for policy recommendations to improve the community approach in addressing this problem.

Abstract

The Sekolah Penggerak Program is a strategic government initiative aimed at transforming the education system through holistic interventions at the school level. However, variations in school contexts and resource readiness have led to differing perceptions regarding its implementation. This study aims to describe geography teachers’ perceptions of the Sekolah Penggerak Program, focusing on aspects of understanding, intervention application, impact, and implementation challenges. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, using purposive sampling to select 26 informants from five state senior high schools implementing the program in Indragiri Hilir Regency, Riau Province. Data were collected through interviews and documentation, then analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that geography teachers have a solid understanding of the program's core components. Dialogical mentoring from facilitators, intensive training, and active participation in learning communities have contributed to enhanced teacher competence and collaboration. A shift in learning paradigms toward more student-centered and active approaches is evident, marked by the use of assessment-based planning, reflective practices, and the integration of technology. Nonetheless, limited infrastructure, administrative workload, and disparities in teacher readiness pose significant implementation challenges. Despite these obstacles, teachers demonstrate a strong commitment to continuous adaptation. These findings highlight the need for responsive education policies and sustained teacher capacity development programs to support the successful transformation of education at the school level.

Abstract

The low learning outcomes in Indonesian language among fifth-grade students at SDN 106811 Bandar Setia were identified as a major issue through preliminary observations, which revealed a monotonous learning process, limited media innovation, and minimal active student engagement. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of pop-up book media in improving student learning outcomes on the topic “Facts and Opinions in Advertisements.” Employing a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design, the study involved 28 purposively selected students. Instruments included multiple-choice tests to assess learning outcomes before and after instruction, as well as a practicality questionnaire for the media. Data were analyzed using mastery percentage, N-Gain calculations, and descriptive analysis. The results showed an increase in the average score from 58 (pretest) to 88 (posttest), with learning mastery rising from 14% to 100%. An N-Gain score of 0.73 indicated a high level of effectiveness. Additionally, the media’s practicality was rated as excellent by both teachers (94%) and students (90%). In conclusion, pop-up book media is both effective and practical in supporting Indonesian language instruction and contributes significantly to enhancing student learning outcomes at the elementary level.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) contribute significantly to economic growth in Indonesia, particularly in Central Lombok Regency. However, longstanding issues such as weak financial planning and low financial literacy pose major obstacles in business management and effective investment decision-making. This study aims to examine the relationship between financial planning and financial literacy on the investment decisions of MSME actors. A quantitative approach was employed through a survey of 100 MSME actors in Central Lombok. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicate a significant influence of financial literacy and financial planning on the investment decisions of MSME actors. These findings have important implications for local governments and financial institutions in designing more targeted financial education programs to support MSME development.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of effective management in the implementation of the Family Hope Program (Program Keluarga Harapan, PKH) to achieve its goals optimally, particularly at the grassroots level, such as in Cadasari Village, Cadasari Subdistrict, Pandeglang Regency. The objective of this study is to analyze the implementation of PKH companion management, which includes the stages of planning, execution, evaluation, and the challenges encountered in the mentoring process. A descriptive method with a qualitative approach was used, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that the management of PKH mentoring in Cadasari Village has been carried out in accordance with the stages of management. In the planning phase, the number of aid recipients was adjusted to the official criteria, although some eligible low-income families were not accommodated due to central government quota limitations. In response, the village government monitored families whose economic conditions had improved for immediate graduation from the program, allowing room for other, more deserving families to benefit. Program implementation followed procedures set by the central government, with a focus on empowerment and welfare improvement. Regular evaluations were conducted to assess the program’s effectiveness, and the results served as a basis for decision-making, including the reallocation of aid to more appropriate beneficiaries. This study demonstrates that structured and adaptive management of PKH mentoring enhances the accuracy of aid distribution and strengthens program governance at the village level.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the limited research on the implementation of experiential-based Islamic character education in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI), despite its strategic role in shaping students’ moral and spiritual values, particularly in the digital era. The primary aim of this study is to describe the implementation of the Collaborative Ramadan Pesantren program as a strategy to strengthen Islamic character, analyze the internalization process of the values of honesty, responsibility, and social awareness, and identify behavioral changes among students after participating in the program. A descriptive qualitative method was employed using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, involving 60 fourth- to sixth-grade students of MI Ma’arif Al Ma’shum Blora and 8 PGMI students from IAIKU Blora, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through participatory observation, informal interviews, and documentation, and analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that character reinforcement was carried out in three stages: collaborative planning, a three-day thematic activity based on direct experience, and evaluation and reflection aimed at fostering positive behavioral change. These results affirm the effectiveness of experiential and contextual character education. In conclusion, the collaborative and applicative approach proved effective in instilling Islamic values in elementary school students. The implications of this study include theoretical contributions to the development of Islamic character education and practical recommendations for madrasahs and higher education institutions in designing more structured and sustainable programs.

Abstract

The Ramadan pesantren program serves as a strategic method for instilling Islamic character values in early childhood through an enjoyable and developmentally appropriate approach. This community service initiative was carried out by students of the Early Childhood Islamic Education (PIAUD) Program at IAI Khozinatul Ulum Blora at RA Assalafiyah Gedongsari, Banjarejo, Blora, in collaboration with the school principal and classroom teachers. The primary objective of the activity was to introduce Islamic character values such as honesty, discipline, responsibility, and love for Allah and the Prophet to 30 young learners. The implementation methods included educational activities such as prayer memorization, daily prayer routines, stories of the Prophet’s exemplary character, and creative Islamic-themed activities. Observations revealed an improvement in children's understanding of Islamic values and the gradual development of positive behavioral habits in daily life. Furthermore, the program provided PIAUD students with hands-on experience in applying early childhood education theories in real-world settings. In conclusion, the Ramadan pesantren program proved to be an effective medium for shaping Islamic character in early childhood through synergistic collaboration between students, teachers, and educational institutions.

Abstract

This community service research is motivated by the urgent need for an integrated and competitive economic activity center in Pelem Village, Kertosono District, Nganjuk Regency, due to the lack of effective economic hubs that has resulted in limited income growth, insufficient local employment opportunities, and low village economic competitiveness. The primary objective of this study is to explore untapped local economic potential, identify barriers to community economic development, and design and implement a sustainable, citizen-driven economic center model. The research employs Participatory Action Research (PAR) using a qualitative approach. Data were collected through focus group discussions, in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation involving 25 MSME actors, 10 community leaders, and 5 village officials. The findings indicate that the village’s main potential lies in the food processing, handicrafts, and local tourism sectors; however, development is hindered by limited market access, low product innovation, and weak financial management capacity. These findings support Community Development Theory and the Local Economic Cluster model. The study recommends establishing a village digital marketplace, providing product diversification training, and forming a village cooperative as strategic steps for local economic empowerment. The implications of this research include contributions to the literature on community-based economic development and opportunities for ongoing evaluation of the long-term impact of the implemented empowerment model.

Abstract

The need to evaluate the extent to which public budget policies impact the empowerment of community groups in sustainable tourism serves as the background for this study, particularly in the Situ Cileunca area of Bandung Regency, which is experiencing growth as a nature-based tourism destination. The objective of this research is to understand the impact of budget allocation policies in the tourism sector on surrounding communities in social, economic, and environmental aspects. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through direct observation and interviews with tourists, local MSME actors/vendors, and non-managing residents. The findings indicate that regional government budget policies have had a positive impact on the development of public facilities and community empowerment, although support remains uneven, especially in the provision of information boards and waste management systems. MSME actors reported increased income due to the rise in tourist visits; however, most have yet to receive training, outreach, or direct assistance from the government. These findings underscore the need for more responsive budget policies that comprehensively prioritize local community empowerment. The implications of this study include contributions to the literature on sustainable tourism and policy recommendations for tourism development that is more inclusive, adaptive, and socially just.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of identifying students’ learning interests in specific sports disciplines to support the development of physical education and extracurricular activities in schools. The objective of the research is to determine the level of student interest in table tennis at SMK NWDI Pancor. The study employed a survey method with a non-experimental approach, using a questionnaire distributed to 30 purposively selected students. The results show that 69% of students demonstrated a “good” level of interest in table tennis, 4% showed a “very good” level, 23% were in the “sufficient” category, and 4% fell into the “low” interest category. These findings indicate that, overall, table tennis is moderately well-liked among students, both as part of physical education and as an extracurricular activity. The study concludes that table tennis holds potential for further development within the school environment. The implications suggest that schools should design appropriate coaching strategies and provide adequate facilities to channel students’ interest toward skill development and achievement in this sport.
