Abstract

Article 28H stated that citizens have the right to receive special treatment for equality. However, there are still educational gaps, especially for children with disabilities, thus showing that there is still injustice in educational equality. In Indonesia, education specifically for people with disabilities is Special Schools (SLB). Even though we already have SLB, there are still deficiencies in providing education rights services for those with disability status. This is caused by facilities that are considered not in accordance with needs. Existing facilities should be able to accommodate people with disabilities according to their needs. Because of this, a review and redesign are needed with special attention to designing Special Schools (SLB). This statement also applies to State Special Schools – A National Level Pembina Jakarta. The design approach that will be used is multisensory which is related to psychology in the mobility of the blind. Multisensory is a method that has been previously researched and proven to be effective in helping blind children become more independent and skilled in their living environment. This research aims to enable blind people to live independently and can be used as a benchmark in designing Special Schools (SLB) for blind people. Keywords: blind, school for the blind, multisensory.

Abstract

Cisauk Station, located in Tangerang Regency, Banten, faces various challenges related to the lack of supporting facilities and the optimal implementation of information technology. To address this, this study redesigns the interior of Cisauk Station with the concept of a "Smart Urban Transit Hub" to support the transformation of BSD City into a smart city and align with the vision of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (PT KAI) in realizing digital transformation in the transportation sector. Data collection was conducted through field studies, literature reviews, comparative studies, and precedent studies to produce optimal design solutions. The "Smart Flow Station" concept was applied to create an environment that is efficient, easy, and comfortable for users. The interior design focused on the use of technology, such as real-time information systems and digital ticket payments, to enhance mobility efficiency and user experience. The redesign is expected to make Cisauk Station a model for future transit hubs, combining technological advancements with the needs of the urban community, while also strengthening BSD City's role as a center of innovation and technology. Abstract

Terminal Guntur Melati Garut is a Type A Bus Terminal located in Garut Regency that serves inter-provincial transportation (AKAP) and intra-provincial transportation within the province (AKDP). As a Type A terminal, the facilities at Terminal Guntur Melati are divided into main facilities such as waiting rooms and administrative buildings, as well as supporting facilities like toilets, mosques, food courts, and health rooms. According to data from the Directorate General of Land Transportation, Balai Pengelola Transportasi Darat Class II West Java, the average monthly passenger volume reaches 216,327 people with 18,635 buses per month. During the 2023 Nataru holidays, there was a 65% increase in arrivals. To attract public interest in mass transportation, Terminal Guntur Melati Garut has implemented various innovations such as live music, martial arts activities for children, local Garut culinary bazaars, and education related to transportation and road safety. The Ministry of Transportation supports the terminal's development with a "Mix Use" concept, making it a hub for social, economic, artistic, and cultural activities. However, the current interior of Terminal Guntur Melati Garut does not strongly represent local Garut culture. Therefore, a redesign of the terminal's interior with a focus on local Garut elements is expected to meet modern terminal standards and serve as a means to promote Garut's culture. Elements such as those from Kampung Adat Pulo, Batik Garutan ornaments, and unique Garut arts will be applied to the terminal's interior elements, providing a new experience for visitors to feel the local essence of Garut. Abstract

Formal and informal education in Indonesia has a crucial role in increasing and developing human potential as a whole in physical and spiritual terms. One form of religious education that plays an important role in building a generation of Muslims with noble morals is Islamic boarding schools. Tahfidzul Qur'an Ibadurrohman Islamic Boarding School is a modern Islamic educational institution in Tasikmalaya City. However, interior planning has not yet become a top priority, even though interior space planning in the Islamic boarding school area can provide comfort, especially in interactive and collaborative learning activities in order to improve user quality and the character of the space in the Islamic boarding school. This is proven by the lack of a setting system related to space dimensions, density and room atmosphere. Plus the spatial layout is still less effective so that it is less than ideal in organizing the spatial characteristics. Therefore, it is necessary to redesign the interior of the Tahfidzul Qur'an Islamic Boarding School in the city of Tasikmalaya with the application of Dynamic Modern to make the room more attractive and functional so that it can maximize activities and provide comfort for space users, especially in learning activities by providing solutions to existing space problems. The results of this research are interior design suggestions that can help optimize activities in the school environment, especially in learning activities. Abstract

Coconut shell is a by-product of coconut consumption that has several physical properties that vary depending on the age and type of coconut. Currently, the use of coconut shell as a raw material for craft products has not been accepted in the higher market because the production technique is still not well developed due to underdeveloped production techniques and lack of added value design. Development of craft making techniques using laser cutting is needed. The use of laser cutting can be an alternative in material processing because it has accuracy and efficiency in cutting coconut shells, as well as reducing material waste. In this study, the focus is on exploring the characteristics of the material so that it can be easily processed with laser cutting and identifying factors that influence the use of laser cutting technology. The research methods used include literature studies, direct observation, interviews, and exploration so that they can determine the characteristics of the material and efficiency in processing coconut shells. The results of material exploration with laser cutting technology can be used as an alternative in processing coconut shells in the form of decorative products that have high aesthetics and selling value. Abstract

One part of the coconut fruit is coconut fiber which can be processed and broken down to become a product that is needed in the domestic market and even has export value. Coconut fiber also has two derivative products in the form of coconut fiber (Cocofiber) and coconut fiber powder (Cocopeat), of which the two derivative products have not yet been optimally processed to become a new material or support for a furniture product. Because the processing is not optimal, there is still a lot of coconut fiber waste that is thrown away, which can pollute the environment and cause health problems if burned. Therefore, this research was carried out to prevent these problems through exploration using qualitative methods and observation approaches and interviews with experts, as well as using the Exploring method to produce a new material or support for a sustainable and environmentally friendly furniture product (Sustainable). Keywords: Coconut fiber, cocofiber, cocopeat, exploration, sustainable
