Abstract

Generation Z employee productivity has become a key determinant of organizational success in the digital era, where organizations are required to adapt to rapid technological advancements and evolving workforce expectations. This study aims to examine the influence of transformational leadership, the work environment, and work engagement on the productivity of Generation Z employees at Putra Store. The study adopts a quantitative approach using an associative research design. The research population consists of all Generation Z employees at Putra Store, with the entire group of 60 employees included as respondents through a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire based on a five-point Likert scale and analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) method with SmartPLS software. The results indicate that transformational leadership, the work environment, and work engagement each have a positive and significant influence on the work productivity of Generation Z employees, both individually and collectively. These findings demonstrate that enhancing employee productivity requires effective transformational leadership, a conducive and supportive work environment, and high levels of employee engagement. The study provides practical implications for Putra Store in developing human resource management strategies, strengthening organizational practices, and fostering a productive workplace that aligns with the characteristics and expectations of Generation Z employees.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of corporate governance as proxied by the proportion of independent commissioners, company size, and audit rotation on audit quality in food and beverage manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2021–2024. The study is motivated by empirical inconsistencies found in prior research regarding the determinants of audit quality. A quantitative approach was employed, with purposive sampling yielding 69 companies as the sample and a total of 276 observations. Audit quality was measured using a dummy variable based on whether companies engaged a Big Four or non-Big Four Public Accounting Firm. Binary logistic regression analysis was conducted using SPSS software. The results indicate that, partially, independent commissioners do not significantly affect audit quality (significance value 0.117 > 0.05), while company size significantly affects audit quality (significance value 0.000 < 0.05). Audit rotation also does not significantly affect audit quality (significance value 0.389 > 0.05). Simultaneously, however, all three variables jointly have a significant effect on audit quality (significance value 0.000 < 0.05). These findings suggest that company size is the dominant determinant of audit quality, while corporate governance mechanisms and audit rotation require stronger implementation to produce a more meaningful impact on audit quality.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of labor, supervision, and motivation on employee performance at Shopee Hub Belawan, one of the main e-commerce logistics centers in North Sumatra. The research method used is a quantitative approach with an associative causal design and saturated sampling technique, involving the entire employee population of 42 people. Data analysis was carried out through multiple linear regression tests, t tests, F tests, and classical assumption testing. The results showed that labor and supervision variables had a positive and significant effect on employee performance, while motivation had a significant negative effect. Simultaneously, the three variables have a significant influence on performance, with a coefficient of determination (Adjusted R²) of 79.3%, which means that most of the variation in performance can be explained by the independent variables. This finding indicates that proper human resource management, particularly in terms of workforce quality and supervision systems, is key in improving the efficiency of e-commerce logistics operations. Conversely, motivation strategies that are not contextually appropriate can actually reduce employee performance. This research provides practical contributions in the development of logistics performance management as well as theoretical implications on the contextual influence of work motivation.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of profitability, board of commissioners size, and firm size on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) disclosure among pharmaceutical manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2014–2024 period. The pharmaceutical subsector was selected because its production activities are closely linked to chemical handling, waste management, and public health responsibility, which demand a high degree of accountability. This research applies a quantitative explanatory design grounded in Stakeholder Theory. Using purposive sampling, eleven listed pharmaceutical companies were selected, yielding 121 panel observations across the eleven-year period. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with IBM SPSS Statistics, including classical assumption tests, partial t-tests, simultaneous F-tests, and the coefficient of determination. The results show that profitability has no significant effect on CSR disclosure, while firm size exerts a significant positive effect and board of commissioners size exerts a significant negative effect. Simultaneously, the three independent variables significantly affect CSR, with an Adjusted R Square of 0.559, indicating that the model explains 55.9 percent of the variation in CSR disclosure. These findings suggest that firm scale is the primary determinant of CSR disclosure in the pharmaceutical subsector, while an increase in the number of board members does not necessarily correspond to more effective oversight of social responsibility. This study offers practical implications for regulators and corporate management in designing more targeted governance and social responsibility disclosure policies.

Abstract

Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) play a strategic role in driving village economic growth and improving community welfare, particularly in rural areas. However, the success of a BUMDes is greatly influenced by the quality of its financial governance. This study aims to analyze the financial governance of Ngepeh BUMDes based on the principles of Good Corporate Governance (GCG), which include transparency, accountability, responsibility, independence, and fairness and equality. It also identifies factors influencing its implementation. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data were obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results indicate that the financial governance of Ngepeh BUMDes has been implemented through the stages of planning, implementation, recording, reporting, and financial oversight. The principles of Good Corporate Governance have generally been implemented quite well. Supporting factors for GCG implementation include village government support, cooperation among administrators, management commitment, and the existence of clear rules and division of duties. Aspects that still need improvement include human resource competency, the use of information technology, financial administration systems, and community involvement in BUMDes oversight.

Abstract

Gold investment is one of the most popular investment instruments because it can preserve asset value and is relatively resistant to inflation. However, the decision to invest in gold among Generation Z is influenced by various factors, including economic and behavioral factors. This study aims to analyze the effect of income, consumption patterns, and educational level on gold investment decisions among Generation Z in Denpasar City. This study employed a quantitative approach with an associative research design. The data used were primary data collected through questionnaires distributed to 100 Generation Z respondents in Denpasar City selected using a purposive sampling technique. The data were analyzed using logistic regression (logit regression). The results indicate that income, consumption patterns, and educational level simultaneously have a significant effect on gold investment decisions among Generation Z in Denpasar City. Partially, income and educational level have a positive and significant effect on gold investment decisions, while consumption patterns have a negative and significant effect on gold investment decisions. These findings suggest that individuals with higher income and educational attainment are more likely to invest in gold. In contrast, individuals with higher consumption levels tend to have a lower likelihood of making gold investment decisions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effects of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) per Capita, Social Assistance, Open Unemployment Rate, Informal Sector Labor Wages, Women's Income Contribution, Protein Consumption, and Population Growth Rate on poverty in the regencies/cities of Lampung Province from 2010 to 2024. The study employs a quantitative approach using secondary data in the form of panel data, which are analyzed through panel data regression using the Random Effect Model (REM). The simultaneous test results indicate that all independent variables jointly have a significant effect on poverty. Partially, GRDP per Capita, Informal Sector Labor Wages, Protein Consumption, and Population Growth Rate have significant negative effects on poverty, while Social Assistance, Open Unemployment Rate, and Women's Income Contribution have significant positive effects. The findings indicate that increases in GRDP per capita, informal sector labor wages, protein consumption, and population growth accompanied by adequate economic opportunities can reduce poverty. Conversely, high unemployment, social assistance concentrated in poorer areas, and a high contribution of women's income among vulnerable households are associated with increased poverty. The results are expected to serve as a consideration in formulating poverty alleviation policies in Lampung Province.

Abstract

Competition in the cosmetics industry and the growing use of social media require cosmetic brands to build effective digital communication and consumer trust. This study analyzes the effect of social media marketing and electronic word of mouth on purchase intention with brand trust as a mediating variable among prospective Wardah consumers in Denpasar. A causal associative quantitative approach was applied using Stimulus-Organism-Response theory as the conceptual foundation. Data were collected through an online questionnaire from 140 respondents who lived in Denpasar, knew Wardah, had seen Wardah content or advertisements on social media, and had never purchased Wardah products. The sample was selected using purposive sampling, and the data were analyzed using SEM-PLS with SmartPLS 4.0. The results show that social media marketing, electronic word of mouth, and brand trust have positive and significant effects on purchase intention. Social media marketing and electronic word of mouth have positive and significant effects on brand trust. Brand trust partially mediates the effects of social media marketing and electronic word of mouth on purchase intention. These findings indicate that informative, interactive, and credible social media content, supported by positive online reviews, can strengthen brand trust and encourage Wardah purchase intention.

Abstract

The rapid growth of digital and financial technology has changed how society manages finances, particularly among Generation Z in Cilegon City. Although this generation actively uses digital financial applications, their financial literacy remains low, reflected in high rates of impulsive buying and consumptive behavior. This study analyzes the effect of financial literacy on financial management behavior, the effect of financial literacy on financial technology, the effect of financial technology on financial management behavior, and the mediating role of financial technology in the relationship between financial literacy and financial management behavior among Generation Z in Cilegon City during the cashless society era. A quantitative approach was used, with Generation Z in Cilegon City as the population. Purposive sampling was applied, and the sample size, calculated using G*Power 3.1.9.7, resulted in 110 respondents. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire distributed via Google Form and analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 3.0. The results show that financial literacy significantly affects financial management behavior and financial technology, and that financial technology significantly affects financial management behavior while also mediating the relationship between financial literacy and financial management behavior. All four hypotheses are accepted.
