Magistrorum et Scholarium: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat (JMS) merupakan ajang penyajian hasil kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dengan akses terbuka bagi para insan akademisi, peneliti, mahasiswa, dosen maupun praktisi. JMSmerupakan publikasi berkala yang diterbitkan Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana (UKSW) Salatiga, terbit tiga kali dalam setahun (bulan Agustus, Desember dan April). Fokus JMS adalah menyebarluaskan karya inovasi dari aktivitas pengabdian masyarakat berbagai disiplin ilmu dengan rupa-rupa topik yang memiliki dampak bagi masyarakat dan bangsa. JMS merupakan bagian dari komitmen UKSW dalam menjalin relasi yang baik dengan masyarakat dengan menjunjung tinggi nilai-nilai Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. Keberagaman disiplin ilmu menjadi kekuatan dampak aktivitas pengabdian masyarakat.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The digital-based learning by using the internet can be a solution that applicable to build learning interactions between teachers and students during the Covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of this community service activity (PkM) is to assist teachers from PPKS Foundation to design innovative learning and courage-based assessments. This activity was used an active learning approach that directed each participant to contribute actively in designing learning tools. The data technique used a questionnaire, interviews, and lesson plan as supporting document. The results showed that junior high school teachers contribute high participation in designing an online lesson plan, while vocational teachers had a higher variety about using digital devices in other to online platforms. Priority recommendations in PkM activities were that there was a need for an assessment of cognitive and motoric skill evaluation reviewed from another level, starting from kindergarten to vocational school, training for learning tools by colleagues, and support for novice teachers that need to be done through sharing knowledge with teachers who already have a lot of experience. ABSTRAK Pembelajaran berbasis digital dengan menggunakan internet menjadi salah satu solusi yang dapat diterapkan untuk membangun interaksi pembelajaran antara guru dan peserta didik pada masa Pandemi Covid 19. Tujuan dari kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini adalah melakukan pendampingan kepada guru Yayasan PPKS untuk mendesain pembelajaran inovatif dan asesmen berbasis daring. Kegiatan PkM ini menggunakan pendekatan participant active learning yang mengarahkan setiap peserta berkonstribusi aktif untuk mendesain perangkat pembelajaran dan penilaian secara daring. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket, wawancara dan dokumen pendukung berupa perangkat pembelajaran. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa guru pada jenjang SMP memiliki partisipasi yang tinggi dalam merancang perangkat pembelajaran, sementara guru SMK memiliki variasi yang lebih tinggi terkait penggunaan platform digital untuk pengajaran. Rekomendasi prioritas dalam kegiatan PkM adalah perlu adanya pendapingan tentang evaluasi kognitif dan keterampilan per jenjang dimulai dari TK hingga SMK, pelatihan perangkat pembelajaran oleh rekan sekerja dan dukungan bagi guru pemula perlu dilakukan melalui sharing pengetahuan dengan guru-guru yang telah memiliki banyak pengalaman.

Abstract

Community service activities are carried out at the Central Christian Education Institution, Salatiga City. The objective of this activity is to prepare teachers who are selected as prospective principals to understand the concept and implementation of school principal competency standards in the fields of managerial, supervision, and entrepreneurship. Activities are held in the form of online mode-based training. The school development plan is the final product of this training activity. This activity is expected to create prospective school leaders of the Central Christian Education Institution Salatiga who can improve the quality of education through their leadership, creativity, and innovation qualities. The results of this community service activity can improve managerial competence, supervision, and entrepreneurship for prospective principals of the Christian Education Institution Salatiga.

Abstract

Artikel Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini menggali relasi antara agama dan gereja dengan nasionalisme dalam konteks budaya, pluralitas dan realitas virtual. Kekristenan di Indonesia perlu menggunakan teks politik dan budaya dengan memerhatikan secara serius konteks pluralitas dan cyber untuk mengembangkan konsep teologi lokal yang didasarkan pada dokumen-dokumen politik Indonesia. Berbasis pada teori civil sphere dan virtual space artikel ini mengunakan observasi, penelitian lapangan dan dokumen untuk mengembangkan teologi yang mengarahkan kepada relasi mutual dengan agama-agama lain dan sesama warga bangsa. Memanfaatkan Zoom dan media online kegiatan PkM, menggunakan seminar online, yang dilakukan dalam kerjasama dengan Lakpesdam Nahdlaltul Ulama Sulawesi Tenggara, tanggal 30 Juni 2020. Artikel ini berkesimpulan bahwa dalam konteks Indonesia, teologi Indonesia mengandaikan perlunya teks politik dan budaya untuk membangun lokal teologi yang dapat membangun hubungan saling memahami dengan komunitas agama lain.

Abstract

Pendidikan anak usia dini merupakan tahap penting bagi tumbuh kembang seorang anak. PAUD RUSA (Rumah Asa) diharapkan menjadi suatu tempat yang nyaman dan menyenangkan untuk generasi tunas bangsa belajar, bukan hanya mendapatkan bekal secara koqnitif tetapi menjadi suatu pribadi yang berakhlak mulia, sehat, cerdas, jujur, bertanggungjawab, kreatif, percaya diri dan cinta tanah air sesuai harapan orang tua dan berguna masyarakat bahkan bangsa dan negara. Harapan ini menemui kendala dengan jumlah peserta didik yang mengalami penurunan pada setiap tahunnya apalagi semenjak tahun 2020 terjadi pandemi virus corona yang tidak hanya menyerang negara Indonesia saja tetapi juga secara global. Pengabdian masyarakat kali ini merupakan sarana kolaborasi antara Universitas Nasional Karangturi Semarang dengan PAUD RUSA dan masyarakat sekitar untuk memberi edukasi mengenai internet sehat dan konten pangan sehat dengan memanfaatkan media website.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has a huge impact on aspects of human life, one of which is in the world of education. Schools, teachers, learners and parents were also affected. The learning process that should be able to be performed in school with the assistance of teachers directly, now must move home by online with parental assistance. Accordance with the policy of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, namely Learning From Home by online. This sudden change in the way of learning makes it difficult for teachers to prepare and carry out learning. Ordinary learning is still difficult to do moreover learning that demands the creativity of teachers and learners. The ability of teachers to utilize technology is not good enough, so it becomes difficult if they have to do online learning. From the results of the survey, almost all learning activities are performed by sending materials and assignments, then tasks are done by students and the results are sent through WhatsApp groups (89.7% of 271 respondents). Learners become saturated and want to return to study in school (72.12%) which has an impact on decreasing opportunities to do creative activities for learners. The solution of this problem is to provide online learning facilities and support for teachers in preparing learning as well as for students and parents during the learning process. This will help teachers in preparing online learning so that teachers have enough time to develop materials and media that can be uploaded in online classes. In addition, there will be standards for organizing online classes so as to give students the opportunity to learn well, fun and can return creatively. One of the online learning designs that teachers can use is the design of online learning based on 3CM (Cool-Critical-Creative-Meaningful) learning. This learning provides students with the opportunity to develop critical, creative, meaningful thinking skills in fun and challenging ways in both partial and integrated online. The product of this activity is: 1) partial and integrated online classes; 2) Scientific articles that can be published in Community service journals.

Abstract

Information systems are expected to help securing assets and minimizing theft, destruction, and data loss. However, actions such as hacking and data theft are still rife because of the weak management of the organization's internal control system. Village Information System is a means to collect, process and communicate various information related to the state of the village so that the need for monitoring, identifying and analyzing periodically about how the function of the internal control system runs to minimize fraud and misuse of information in order to achieve organizational goals. This community service is a form of active participation of academics to help villages identify and evaluate internal controls that have been applied in developing village information systems effectively. With descriptive qualitative research methods using data triangulation analysis techniques with interviews to village officials, it is able to give the result that increasing village government knowledge about the importance of implementing internal control systems related to the efficient and effective use of village information systems to avoid and minimize risks that allow to occur.

Abstract

Karang Taruna Muda Tama (KTMT), Srumbung Gunung does not yet have the knowledge and skills to create souvenirs in the t-shirts’ form with creative writings with messages of peace. The purpose of this community service activity is to increase the ability and creativity of KTMT to produce T-shirts souvenir. In addition, this activity is expected to create new business opportunities, so that the welfare of the community increases. The activity is performed through three methods: the procurement of screen printing equipment and materials, screen printing training and assistance. This activity was carried out from July 12 to October 12, 2020. The results, among others, are screen printing on the t-shirts with creative message of peace and the online market for the t-shirts printed is available on the Dusun Market website. The online market sold 25 t-shirts by the end of 2020.

Abstract

Senior High School (SMA) has a very broad scientific scope, one of which is chemistry. In chemistry, it presents the processes, chemical notations, types, and arrangements of matter. Chemical processes can be written in a concise form, such as a reaction equation, without eliminating the microscopic and macroscopic aspects that occur in the chemical process. This equation for the reaction is a symbolic aspect of chemistry. All the substances involved in the equation of the reaction are also symbolic aspects of chemistry. In other words, chemical formulas, such as atomic symbols, element symbols, compound symbols or formulas, all of these are symbolic aspects of chemistry. This symbolic aspect is of great importance in chemistry. Training on the use of ChemSketch software is very important for high school students, especially science majors, as an enrichment for chemistry subjects and improves skills in presenting chemical data in order to improve the quality of graduates. ChemSketch software provides process symbols, chemical notations, types, arrangement of materials, and several image representations of various laboratory tools, which are quite easy to use. Training on the use of ChemSketch for SMA N 13 Depok students has been enthusiastically carried out online, the material is relevant to chemistry subject matter, easy to accept and the delivery of the material is quite interesting.

Abstract

Learning is an activity designed by the teacher to help students find a new ability and or value. One indicator of a professional teacher is the extent to design the lessons well. The results of discussions with teachers from the Daerah Binaan 2 Korwilcam Toroh, Grobogan Regency, indicated that the teachers did not understand what, why and how to create lesson-plan based on critical and creative thinking. Based on that problem, the team conducted 1) to mentor teachers about what, why and how to create lesson-plan based on critical and creative thinking; 2) to assist the teacher in developing lesson-plan; 3) provide assistance to prepare lesson plans based on critical and creative thinking skills. Mentoring activities have been carried out on March 20-27 2021 with a number of meetings equivalent to 32 hours. The results of this mentoring is that 70.2% of elementary school teachers stated that the material presented by the resource persons was very useful for them.

Abstract

Masalah keprofesian yang dinilai belum terselesaikan sampai sekarang di lingkungan guru SD adalah rendahnya produktivitas guru dalam bidang penulisan dan publikasi artikel ilmiah. Untuk berpartisipasi menyelesaikan persoalan ini, diselenggarakan pengabdian masyarakat di Gugus Joko Tingkir Salatiga selama tiga bulan dari Juli sampai September 2021. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah memberi pelatihan menulis dan mempublikasikan karya ilmiah khususnya artikel jurnal. Model pelaksanaan secara daring penuh dengan metode In–On. Dari hasil pelaksanaan, mayoritas peserta menyatakan telah memahami cara menyusun laporan penelitian, khususnya Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), dan telah paham pula cara menulis artikel ilmiah serta cara mempublikasikannya di jurnal ilmiah yang berkualitas. Peserta juga telah mempraktikkan menulis artikel jurnal hasil PTK meskipun persentase yang menyelesaikan artikelnya masih rendah. Kendala yang dirasakan adalah terjadi kebuntuan gagasan pada saat menulis, keterbatasan referensi dan waktu meneliti.
