Abstract

This research explores the oppression experienced by the Black female protagonist in Octavia E. Butler's novel Kindred. Using qualitative methods and textual analysis, this paper examines how the character faces various forms of oppression as defined by Iris Marion Young’s theory: exploitation, marginalization, powerlessness, cultural imperialism, and violence. The findings reveal the deeply rooted systemic injustices within the context of slavery and its intergenerational trauma. This research contributes to understanding postcolonial feminism in speculative fiction narratives.

Abstract

Research on challenges caused by CWB in organizations has been going on for decades. This paper will examine the counterproductive work behavior (CWB) of employees at PT X using a case study approach. The informants in this study include three leaders and three employees at PT X. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis uses the research flow from Miles and Huberman. Data validity testing uses observation extension, member check, observation persistence, and triangulation. The findings of the study state that based on the Affective Event Theory (AET) employees who have positive affect experiences and receive positive performance feedback from the company tend to experience positive emotions, such as pride, satisfaction, and have good performance or productivity. Positive emotions experienced by employees are negatively related to the intention to do CWB. The higher the positive emotions experienced by participants, the lower the intention to do CWB. Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the organization and storage of official travel documents within the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) to ensure effective payment processes for travel expenses. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, collecting data through interviews, observations, and document review. Findings reveal key issues such as disorganized storage space, document duplication, and lack of integrated digital systems. As a result, verification and payment processes are time-consuming and error-prone. The discussion highlights that implementing electronic document management systems, staff training, and standardized procedures can accelerate payments while enhancing accountability and transparency. In conclusion, systematic and digitized document organization and storage at BPKP significantly streamline official travel expense payments.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of parents in motivating the learning process of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 1 Kalibagor, Banyumas. Employing a descriptive qualitative design, data were collected through classroom and home observations, interviews with the class teacher, students, parents, neighbors, and a teacher, and documentation of grade books and student data records. Informants were selected via purposive sampling to include four students (with low and high motivation), four parents (active and less active), two neighbors, and one class teacher. Instruments consisted of observation, interview, and documentation guides, with data validity ensured through triangulation. Results indicated that parental involvement—through encouragement, supervision, and supportive learning environments—positively influenced student motivation. High motivation was observed in students with active parental support, while those lacking such support exhibited lower participation and academic achievement. Based on these findings, it is recommended that schools and educational authorities facilitate active parental engagement through coaching programs and involvement in learning activities to enhance student motivation and academic outcomes.

Abstract

Abstract

This narrative literature review article aims to understand how cooperative behavior in society can be driven by place attachment and place memory. This review integrates international and local findings. Studies in Indonesia, such as Jakarta, Bandung, and Pekalongan, show that emotional experiences, social interactions, and the physical characteristics of public spaces collectively shape place attachment, which ultimately strengthens cooperative behavior. This study contributes to the understanding of place attachment and place memory and recommends the importance of public space design that can support emotional and social engagement within communities.

Abstract

The increasing need for land for various development activities requires a proper evaluation of the capacity and carrying capacity of the land. This study aims to analyze the carrying capacity of land based on land capabilities in Banyuasin Regency by utilizing Geographic Information System (GIS) technology. The methods used include the collection of spatial data such as soil type, slope slope, land use, rainfall, and actual land use data, which are then processed using GIS software to overlay and classify land capabilities. The results of the study show that most of the Banyuasin Regency area is in land capability classes III and IV, which have moderate to high limitations on land use intensity. Several areas were identified as experiencing utilization pressure that exceeded their carrying capacity, characterized by the conversion of agricultural land into residential and industrial areas. These findings provide an idea that spatial planning and land use in the region need to be aligned with land capabilities in order for sustainable development to be realized. GIS has proven to be effective as an aid in spatial analysis to support geospatial data-driven decision-making.

Abstract

Telemedicine as part of digital health services is officially regulated in Law No. 17 of 2023 concerning Health and implemented through Government Regulation No. 28 of 2024, but has not yet discussed the role of artificial intelligence as a prescription issuing entity. Meanwhile, Law No. 1 of 2024 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions recognizes the validity of electronic documents and digital signatures, opening up legal opportunities for the digitization of medical files. The aim of this study was to evaluate the legal feasibility of automated prescribing by artificial intelligence systems in Telemedicine, in particular reviewing the void of norms governing the "signer" status of prescriptions by artificial intelligence. The research method used is normative legal research; includes the study of national legislative texts, the interpretation of key articles, as well as comparisons with international practices from the FDA (US) and EMA (European Union). The analysis shows that the current national legal regime only recognizes licensed doctors as the authorized parties to sign electronic prescriptions, so artificial intelligence can only function as a "Clinical Decision Support System" without the legal right to issue prescriptions independently. The results of the study also highlight the legal risks for artificial intelligence platform organizers and developers if automatic prescriptions are not verified by medical personnel, including potential malpractice lawsuits and violations of the Consumer Protection Law. In conclusion, to realize the issuance of prescriptions carried out by artificial intelligence, it is necessary to amend the Health Law and/or sectoral regulations that formalize algorithm certification standards, periodic audit mechanisms, and a scheme for the division of legal responsibilities between artificial intelligence developers, platform providers, and supervising doctors.
