Abstract

Petty cash or commonly referred to as petty cash is a number of funds that are specifically designated as expenses that are relatively small in number and nature. Petty cash is usually used to finance the company's operations or other matters related to the activities carried out by the company. The establishment of a petty cash fund is part of the company's internal control principles. To establish a petty cash fund, a good arrangement in petty cash management is needed, one of which is by making a petty cash fund application form and proof of receipt of petty cash funds. This form is submitted if the petty cash balance is running low or even the balance has run out. The main purpose of using the petty cash fund application form and the petty cash fund receipt form is to carry out internal control over the company's cash. Based on the results of observations at PT. Citra Warna Jaya Abadi found a petty cash fund management system in the company PT. The image of Warna Jaya Abadi is not well organized so that the company's operations are hampered because the petty cash factor used for company operations runs out. In addition, the funds needed for operations are the main benchmark in carrying out company operations for punctuality in completing the specified targets and will be accountable to the leadership. Seeing these conditions, community service at Mahasaraswati Denpasar University is here with a mission to help companies so that the management of petty cash funds is well organized and efficient.

Abstract

Public speaking is communication that is done orally about a thing or topic in front of many people with the aim of influencing, inviting, educating, changing opinions, providing explanations, and providing information to many people at certain moments. Become a successful Master of Ceremony (MC); need to know aspects including voice (vocal), mental, appearance, insight. The MC training was attended by 25 students of the Indonesian Language Education Study Program and the UPMI Region. The methods of implementing Community Service are the socialization method, the test method, the lecture method, the training method, and the guidance method. The workshop materials on the Master of Ceremony (MC) are: Introduction to Public Speaking, Communication Skills, Basics of MC, Preparation before and during MC, Techniques for managing vocals, and Stages in MC. Based on the results of observations during the activity, it can be concluded that the material given to the training participants was well received, and the response given was very positive. The results of this service activity are participants 1) understand the basics and techniques of MC, 2) know and understand the requirements, duties and ethics of MC, 3) practice MC in opening, guiding the event until closing formal events, 4) being able to guide the event and display self-image according to the theme and script of the event, and 5) arrange vocals and personal appearance according to the demands of the event.

Abstract

A historical tour guide is one of the historical learning activities that utilize historical tourism objects as the basis for carrying out its activities. The method of implementing this Community Service is the field trip method, lecture method, training method, and guidance method. The training materials and assistance for historical tourism are in the form of: The material provided is the basics of scouting, how to become a tour guide, and historical tourism objects that can be used as training for historical tour guides. Based on the results of observations during the activity, it can be concluded that the material given to the training participants was well received, and the response given by the participants was very positive. The results of this service activity are that participants 1) understand the basics and techniques of being a historical tour guide, 2) know and understand the duties and ethics of a historical tour guide, 3) practice being a historical tour guide from the opening, core activities, and closing stages in guide activities. historical tourism, 4) able to guide historical tours and provide a self-image as a professional historical tour guide.

Abstract

Wood waste is the waste of the sawmill industry. So far, wood waste has caused a lot of problems in its handling, which has been left to rot, stacked and burned will have a negative impact on the environment, so its management needs to be considered. Judging from the potential that exists in Mendoyo village, especially in the Negara district, it is one of the largest producers of wood waste that has no use, which is simply piled up. So, we have the innovation of making a handicraft in the form of a watch made from wood waste. Which is an accessory craft that has added value and high creative value. This watch, combined with Balinese motifs or images on the watch. The benefits of this activity are, helping to reduce the amount of waste among the surrounding community, opening up new business opportunities for the community and also making the community aware of the importance of quality wood sawdust waste that has become waste that is not feasible to be used as a craft accessories with high economic value. The main targets are people of productive age, the academic community, and people who have middle and upper incomes, but it is possible that it will be wider and market to special markets and the art market because these watch products have high artistic value and creativity.

Abstract

Classroom action research is a research that raises the actual problems faced by teachers in the field. By carrying out classroom action research, teachers have a dual role, namely practitioners and researchers. Scientific publications by teachers are basically a form of teacher professionalism. The purpose of this service is to find a solution to the problem of the lack of knowledge of teacher human resources in making scientific papers in the form of classroom action research. These problems can be overcome by increasing capacity through learning and socialization through two approaches, namely training and mentoring. In general, the implementation of PKM at SMA Negeri 8 Denpasar has been running smoothly according to a predetermined schedule. In the implementation of PKM, the socialization of the 1st and 2nd stages has made a lot of progress. In the implementation of PKM UPMI at SMA Negeri 8 Denpasar as a partner school. Teachers' understanding of the substance of writing scientific articles for publication in journals with ISSN and carrying out CAR increases with assistance. Teacher motivation in writing scientific papers has grown, and there is a willingness of teachers to start writing proposals. This is an indicator that the skills of teachers to write rich scientific writing are increasing. The results of the CAR have been presented in seminars as a requirement for promotion for teachers to a higher level.

Abstract

This service activity aims to be a real forum for increasing numeracy literacy in schools and helping improve learning after the covid 19 pandemic. This community service is a mentoring activity carried out by students through a numeracy literacy scheme at Public Elementary School 3 Ubud, Gianyar. This activity is carried out for 1 month, starting from March 16, 2022 – April 16, 2022. Activities carried out by students with assistance include: (1) introduction to the scope of the school; (2) support classroom teachers in the development of numeracy literacy learning; (3) assisting the adaptation of the introduction of technology in teaching and learning activities. Service activities are collaborations carried out by lecturers and students through community service assistance with literacy and numeracy program schemes that have been running well, efficiently, effectively and maximally.

Abstract

The times, students and teachers are required to be creative, innovative and know all the information that can be received through ICT-based learning media. The purpose of this service is to overcome the problem of lack of teacher knowledge in the development of information communication and technology (ICT)-based learning media. Activities are carried out in two stages, namely socialization activities, and mentoring. ICT-based learning does not always have advantages but also disadvantages in its application. One of the applications of ICT in learning is the use of learning media that can improve the quality of students' abilities. Multimedia-based learning such as technology that involves text, images, sound and video can present subject matter that is more interesting, not monotonous, and facilitates delivery. Through mentoring activities, the development of ICT-based learning prepared by teachers can improve its quality, so that the learning process is in line with the demands of skills according to the development of the times based on science and technology. The use of the internet in the world of teaching will help the world of teaching increase the quantity of students. The results of PKM socialization and mentoring at SMA Taman Rama Denpasar, resulted in outcomes and achievement targets 1) The preparation of an ICT-based Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) for each subject. 2) certificates for teachers who participate in socialization and mentoring.

Abstract

Mathematics is one of the subjects that children do not like. However, there are still many teachers who have not maximally sought efforts so that such a situation can be reduced or even changed. In the learning process, the teacher should assist students in understanding abstract mathematical objects through observation and the help of learning media in the form of teaching aids. The purpose of this PKM activity is to help teachers make teaching aids that can be used as learning media in learning mathematics. This training activity was held at SMP Dwijendra Bualu for two days, on February 4 and 5, 2022. Steps for implementing the training: planning, conducting workshops, training in making teaching aids, mentoring the practice of using teaching aids, evaluation and reflection. The targets and outcomes are in accordance with the training objectives that have an impact on: (1) teachers are more skilled and creative in making teaching aids and finding creative ways to explain mathematical concepts, (2) learning that is more varied and interesting which ultimately makes it easier for students understand the basic concepts of mathematics

Abstract

This activity aims to provide training and assistance to teachers of SD Negeri 3 Ubud in classroom action research and writing scientific articles. The output to be achieved after teachers participate in CAR training is that they can prepare proposals, implement CAR in class, compile CAR reports and make scientific articles for publication. The training method is carried out by lectures and demonstrations of questions and answers, exercises, and practices. The training material is presented with more practice than theory, with a ratio of 25% theory to 75% practice. The training venue was held in the class of SD Negeri 3 Ubud. During the implementation of mentoring, evaluation was carried out by post-test. The output of this service that meets the target is 80% of the teachers attend the training and pass the cognitive skills based on the results of the post-CAR training. Meanwhile, there are 30% of teachers who are able to make proposals, and 10 of them are ready to be written in scientific articles to be published in journals or seminars.

Abstract

Professional educators have the main task of educating, teaching, guiding, directing, training, assessing, and evaluating students in early childhood education through formal education, basic education, secondary education. Teachers are the spearhead of education, as educators, teachers must have certain competencies in order to be able to educate their students well. In learning efforts towards the formation of students' characters who are creative, interactive, innovative, and inspiring in the learning process in the classroom, it is necessary to implement innovative learning models. This service activity aims to develop teacher professionalism through innovative learning models and help improve student learning. This community service is a mentoring activity carried out by students, where lecturers in this case provide workshops on teacher professionalism development through innovative learning. This activity is carried out for 1 month starting from March 13 to April 16, 2022. This service activity is a collaboration carried out by lecturers and students through community service assistance by providing workshops on teacher professionalism development through innovative learning. has been running well, efficient, effective and maximal.
