Abstract

Nursing performance is susceptible to decline due to factors such as low discipline, lack of responsibility, and insufficient commitment to professional duties. A strong work ethic is a critical factor influencing the enhancement of nursing performance, thereby ensuring the delivery of optimal nursing care. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between work ethic and the performance of nurses at RSUD Ngimbang. A quantitative study was conducted with a population of 128 nurses; a sample of 93 nurses was selected using quota sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires on work ethic and Six-Dimension Scale of Nursing Performance (SDSP)questionnaires. Following tabulation, data were analyzed using the Spearman Rank correlation test via SPSS 16.0. The results indicated that the majority of nurses possessed a “high” work ethic (58.1%), while a significant proportion demonstrated “moderate” performance (50.5%). Statistical analysis revealed a strong and significant correlation between work ethic and nursing performance ( ; ). This indicates that higher levels of work ethic among nurses are associated with better performance at RSUD Ngimbang. To improve nursing performance, it is essential to maintain and cultivate a strong work ethic through the reinforcement of responsibility, discipline, professional commitment, and continuous competency development, ultimately contributing to the improvement of nursing service quality.

Abstract

The advancement of Internet of Things (IoT) technology has enabled the development of smart systems for controlling and monitoringpublic infrastructure, including Public Street Lighting (PSL). This study presents the implementation of an IoT-based remote on-off control systemdesigned to improve the efficiency and flexibility of street lighting management. The proposed system employs an ESP32 NodeMCUmicrocontroller as the control unit, a relay module to switch the lighting load, and the Blynk application to provide a user-friendly interface for remote operation and monitoring through a smartphone. The research was carried out through hardware and software design, systemintegration, and functional performance testing. Experimental results demonstrated that the developed system responded successfully toall ON and OFF commands transmitted over the internet, achieving a 100% success rate under stable network conditions. In addition,users were able to monitor the operational status of the street lights in real-time, allowing faster and more efficient management from remote locations. The implementation results indicate that the proposed IoT-based control system provides a practical, reliable, and cost-effective solution for modern public street lighting management while supporting the realization of smart city infrastructure.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan energi surya sebagai sumber energi terbarukan terus berkembang seiring meningkatnya kebutuhan akan energi listrik yang ramah lingkungan. Namun, tegangan keluaran panel surya sering mengalami perubahan akibat intensitas cahaya matahari yang tidak stabil, sehingga belum mampu memenuhi kebutuhan beban DC yang memerlukan tegangan lebih tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun sistem boost converter pada panel surya menggunakan kontrol Arduino Uno untuk meningkatkan tegangan keluaran panel surya agar sesuai dengan kebutuhan beban DC. Sistem dirancang menggunakan panel surya sebagai sumber energi, boost converter sebagai penaik tegangan, Arduino Uno sebagai pengendali sinyal PWM, driver MOSFET IR2117 sebagai penggerak saklar elektronik, sensor tegangan sebagai umpan balik, serta beban lampu DC sebagai objek pengujian. Metode penelitian meliputi tahap perancangan perangkat keras, perancangan perangkat lunak, implementasi sistem, serta pengujian kinerja berdasarkan variasi tegangan masukan panel surya dan duty cycle PWM. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem boost converter mampu meningkatkan tegangan keluaran panel surya dari kisaran 10–13,5 V menjadi 12,4–27,8 V, dengan tegangan keluaran optimal sebesar 24 V yang mampu mengoperasikan beban lampu DC secara normal. Selain itu, pengaturan duty cycle PWM menggunakan Arduino Uno terbukti berpengaruh terhadap besar tegangan keluaran boost converter sehingga sistem dapat bekerja secara stabil sesuai kebutuhan beban. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, sistem boost converter berbasis Arduino Uno mampu meningkatkan efisiensi pemanfaatan energi panel surya untuk menyuplai beban DC dan berpotensi diterapkan pada berbagai sistem kelistrikan berbasis energi terbarukan.

Abstract

The development of the Internet of Things (IoT) has encouraged the implementation of intelligent electrical protection systems capable of real-time monitoring. This research aims to analyze and design a Webserver-Based Smart RCBO that can detect overcurrent and leakage current while providing real-time monitoring through a web interface. The system employs a NodeMCU ESP8266 as the main controller and webserver, a ZMCT103C sensor for load current measurement, a Zero Sequence Current Transformer (ZSCT) for leakage current detection, and a relay to disconnect the electrical circuit during fault conditions. Sensor data are displayed on a 16×2 LCD and transmitted to the webserver via a Wi-Fi network. Experimental results indicate that the system is capable of monitoring load current accurately and automatically disconnecting the circuit when the leakage current reaches 30 mA, with a response time ranging from 20 ms to 30 ms. Furthermore, the webserver successfully displays load current, leakage current, RCBO status, and system conditions in real time through a web browser. Therefore, the proposed Webserver-Based Smart RCBO improves electrical safety, reliability, and monitoring efficiency compared with conventional RCBO systems.

Abstract

Hypovolemic shock is a condition that may lead to systemic hypoperfusion and subsequently result in multiorgan dysfunction. This case report describes a 32-year-old man who presented to the emergency department with recurrent vomiting approximately 30 times within one day, accompanied by generalized weakness, dyspnea, and abdominal pain. Physical examination revealed severe hypotension (73/44 mmHg), tachycardia, and signs of dehydration, supporting the diagnosis of hypovolemic shock. Laboratory investigations demonstrated hemoconcentration, severe thrombocytopenia (15 ×10³/µL), elevated serum creatinine and urea levels, hyperbilirubinemia, and markedly increased aminotransferase levels (AST 1088 U/L; ALT 852 U/L). Abdominal ultrasonography revealed grade 1 hepatic steatosis, cholecystitis with cholelithiasis, bilateral chronic kidney disease, and a right renal cyst. The patient received fluid resuscitation and supportive therapy, resulting in clinical and hemodynamic improvement. Serial laboratory evaluations showed an increase in platelet count to 118 ×10³/µL and a decline in AST and ALT levels to 222 U/L and 607 U/L, respectively, by the sixth day of hospitalization. This case highlights the importance of comprehensive evaluation in hypovolemic shock, as systemic hypoperfusion may lead to simultaneous dysfunction of multiple organ systems.

Abstract

The growth and development of children in Indonesia still requires serious attention, where the incidence of growth and development delays is still quite high, which is around 5-10% of children experiencing delays in their development in general. Parents play a dominant role in the process of developing communication in children. Language development in each child will be different from one another, such as in terms of mastery, speed and quality.The purpose of this research is to knowing the relationship between parenting patterns and speech and language development in Mutiara Bunda PAUD Terpadu, Kampar Regency. This research is an analytic study with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study is all mothers who have pre-school children aged 3-6 years from January to July 2022 as many as 95 people with the number of samples is the total population of 95 people. The research results obtained are there is the relationship between parenting patterns with speech and language development in pre-school age children with p = 0.000 (p≤0.05). Expected In particular, mothers should educate their children according to their growth and development so that they are able to apply optimal parenting patterns to their children.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of cultural, social, personal, and psychological factors on the purchase decisions of Sambal Kaisar products in Pontianak City and to examine the moderating role of brand image. A quantitative approach with descriptive and associative research designs was employed. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 100 Sambal Kaisar consumers selected using purposive sampling. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4 software. The findings indicate that cultural and social factors have a positive and significant effect on purchase decisions, with the social factor emerging as the most dominant determinant. In contrast, personal and psychological factors do not significantly influence purchase decisions. Brand image also has no significant direct effect on purchase decisions and fails to moderate the relationships between cultural, social, personal, and psychological factors and purchase decisions. The structural model demonstrates satisfactory explanatory power, with an R² value of 0.736, indicating that 73.6% of the variance in purchase decisions is explained by the proposed variables, while the Q² value of 0.408 confirms good predictive relevance. These findings suggest that consumers' purchase decisions toward Sambal Kaisar are primarily driven by cultural consumption habits and social influences rather than personal characteristics, psychological considerations, or brand image.

Abstract

Basal stem rot disease caused by Ganoderma boninense is one of the main diseases in oil palm plants that can reduce productivity and even cause plant death. The low knowledge and attitude of smallholders regarding Ganoderma prevention is one of the factors that accelerate the spread of the disease in smallholder plantations. This research activity aims to improve the knowledge and attitudes of smallholders through extension activities regarding Ganoderma prevention in oil palm plants. This research was conducted in Sumber Harapan Village, Tinggi Raja District, Asahan Regency, targeting oil palm smallholders. The method used was Rapid Rural Appraisal (RRA) through interviews, observations, and discussions with smallholders. Extension activities were carried out using demonstration methods and visits with the help of extension media in the form of leaflets. Evaluation was carried out to measure the level of knowledge through the results of pretests and posttests before and after extension calculated using the N-Gain formula. The results showed that extension activities were able to increase the knowledge of smallholders by 77.3% and improve their attitudes in implementing Ganoderma prevention in oil palm plants. Farmers have become more aware of the symptoms of Ganoderma attacks and preventative measures to suppress the spread of the disease. Therefore, outreach activities can be an effective way to increase farmer capacity in controlling Ganoderma disease in oil palms.

Abstract

Reog Ponorogo has been recognized as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding, emphasizing the critical need for structured transmission. The annual Grebeg Suro festival serves as a pivotal cultural communication channel to preserve this heritage among the younger generation. This study aims to analyze the current effectiveness of Grebeg Suro as a cultural transmission medium, identify its supporting and hindering factors, and formulate communication strategies to enhance engagement. Utilizing a descriptive qualitative approach, data were gathered through semi-structured in-depth interviews with eight informants: a cultural figure, an art teacher, a festival practitioner, and five representatives of the youth generation (ranging from passive viewers to active performers). Data analysis followed the interactive model of Miles and Huberman. The findings reveal a significant gap across communication dimensions: while cognitive and affective engagement remain remarkably high, active behavioral engagement remains limited, with many youths operating merely as passive spectators. Hindrances include excessive event durations that diverge from modern consumption patterns, administrative and budget blockages, and horizontal peer pressures labeling traditional arts as archaic. Conversely, strong institutional backing and the global prestige of UNESCO serve as vital facilitators. Grounded in Lasswell’s and Wilbur Schramm’s communication models, this study proposes an integrated strategy comprising digital co-creation, bidirectional social feedback loops, choreography adaptation, and structural youth-led committees to reduce the dissonance between presence and active participation.

Abstract

Kulit kering merupakan masalah dermatologis yang umum terjadi akibat paparan iklim tropis, polusi, dan penggunaan pelembap sintetis jangka panjang. Lemak tengkawang (Shorea stenoptera) berpotensi sebagai emolienalami karena kandungan asam lemak jenuh dan tidak jenuh sertatitik leleh yang stabil (36–39°C). Penelitian ini bertujuanmengetahui karakteristik fisik dan stabilitas fisik sediaan body butter lemak tengkawang pada lima variasi konsentrasi (5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, dan 25%) serta menentukan formula optimal. Penelitian bersifat eksperimental dengan evaluasi organoleptis, homogenitas, pH, viskositas, daya sebar, daya lekat, tipe emulsi, uji stabilitas fisik (cycling test enam siklus), dan uji kelembabanterhadap lima sukarelawan selama 14 hari. Data dianalisismenggunakan uji normalitas Shapiro–Wilk, uji homogenitasLevene, dilanjutkan One-Way ANOVA/Tukey HSD atauKruskal–Wallis, serta uji Wilcoxon Signed-Rank untuk data berpasangan sebelum dan sesudah cycling test. Hasil menunjukkan seluruh formula (F1–F5) homogen dan bertipeemulsi minyak dalam air (O/W) baik sebelum maupun sesudahcycling test. Nilai pH berkisar 5,63–5,76 sebelum dan menurunmenjadi 4,95–5,46 sesudah cycling test (p<0,05). Viskositasmeningkat setelah cycling test, dengan F5 melebihi batas ukuralat. Daya sebar menurun secara signifikan (p=0,001), sedangkan daya lekat cenderung menurun pada F1–F3. Seluruhformula efektif meningkatkan kelembaban kulit (52–56% setelah 6 jam). Formula optimal diperoleh pada F3 (konsentrasi15%) karena memberikan keseimbangan terbaik antaraviskositas, daya sebar, dan daya lekat.
