Jurnal Pariwisata Budaya: Jurnal Ilmiah Pariwisata Agama dan Budaya adalah jurnal ilmiah yang mempublikasikan artikel ilmiah tentang objek materi pariwisata pada ranah agama dan budaya. Objek materi ini muncul menjadi kecenderungan-kecenderungan pariwisata agama, yang dalam intern umat Hindu disebut dengan Tirtayatra. Pariwisata agama ini pada era modern meluas dengan diikuti umat-umat non-agama, yang kemudian disebut dengan sekular pilgrimage, atau perjalanan suci sekuler. Tujuan pariwisata agama ini adalah tempat-tempat suci agama, yang terdiri dari situs alam, budaya dan buatan manusia. Karena itu, pengelolaan situs-situs tersebut juga menjadi bahasan-bahasan pada artikel pada jurnal ini. Dengan demikian, jurnal ilmiah ini memuat artikel-artikel yang berhubungan dengan pariwisata agama, pariwisata budaya, dan pengaruh-pengaruh pariwisata terhadap agama dan budaya. Jurnal ilmiah ini terbit pertama kali pada Maret 2016, yang pada awalnya dengan ISSN cetak 2527-9734 Pada tahun 2017, jurnal ini telah memiliki ISSN online 2614-5340. Sampai tahun ini, jurnal ini terbit dalam dua versi yaitu versi cetak dan online. Pada 12 Nopember 2019 telah terakreditasi Sinta 5 sesuai keputusan Dirjen Penguatan Riset, Teknologi, dan Pendidikan Tinggi Nomor 30/E/KPT/2019.

Abstract

The presence of homestays in tourist villages can be one of the main means for community empowerment, including those in the elderly or elderly category. The stay experience offered by homestays in tourist villages is not limited to one-way service, but also seeks two-way interaction between the manager and the guests staying. This research aims to explore the role and active participation of the elderly in the management of Karang Kedempel Homestay in Karangsambung Tourism Village. This homestay is directly managed by a 73-year-old elderly person, who offers a different stay experience for the tourists. In the management of this homestay, the elderly not only act as managers, but also as preservers of the principles and values of local wisdom. Therefore, this research seeks to explore in depth how the elderly apply their principles and motivations in the management of homestays, as well as analyze the challenges and socio-economic impacts brought about by the presence of homestays.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of amenities and accessibility on tourist satisfaction at Melasti Beach, Bali. Amenities and accessibility are considered essential factors affecting tourist experiences. A quantitative approach with a survey method was employed, with data collected through questionnaires from 100 respondents. Validity and reliability tests ensured the quality of the research instruments, while multiple linear regression analysis was used to assess the influence of these variables. The results show that both amenities and accessibility have a positive and significant impact on tourist satisfaction, accounting for 61.9% of the variation in tourist satisfaction, while the remaining 38.1% is influenced by other factors. These findings highlight the importance of improving facilities and access to Melasti Beach to enhance visitor satisfaction and provide insights for tourism managers in developing facilities and infrastructure at marine tourism destinations.

Abstract

Pentahelix is ​​a form of collaboration and cooperation that involves five main strength elements in a development program. The five main elements consist of academia, business, government, community and mass media. With this synergy, it is hoped that development programs in the tourism sector will be able to be optimized in order to achieve sustainable tourism development goals. This study aims to find an overview of the role of the pentahelix in tourism development in the Sumberbulu tourist village, Karanganyar Regency. The research method used is qualitative research. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of literature studies, observations and interviews. The results of the study indicate that four of the five pentahelix elements have played a role and contributed to the development of the Sumberbulu tourism village. The four elements are academics, government, society and the mass media. Only business elements that have not been involved.

Abstract

Cirebon, as a region rich in cultural and religious heritage, holds great potential as a prime tourist destination. This study aims to identify the role of religious and cultural tourism in boosting travel demand in Cirebon. Utilizing visitor data analysis and online news discourse through Structural Topic Modeling (STM) and SARIMAX methods, the research explores the relationship between media coverage, promotional strategies, and tourism trends. Findings reveal that cultural events such as the Muludan Festival and religious pilgrimages to Sunan Gunung Jati's tomb are key attractions. Digital promotions through social media and the involvement of human and virtual influencers enhance Cirebon's exposure as a travel destination. However, sustainability challenges, including overtourism and waste management, must be addressed to maintain tourist experience quality. This study provides strategic recommendations, including data-driven and technological management, to foster sustainable tourism development in Cirebon.

Abstract

This article discusses the current state of tourism in Bali, with a focus on sustainable development strategies. Through secondary data analysis and interviews with stakeholders, this article aims to identify innovations and challenges in Bali's tourism industry. Tourism in Bali has become one of the main pillars of the regional economy, making significant contributions to the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) and creating jobs for the local community. However, the rapid growth of this sector also brings serious challenges related to sustainability. This paper discusses the impact of sustainable tourism in Bali, focusing on economic, socio-cultural, and environmental aspects. It is important for all stakeholders such as the government, local communities, and industry players to collaborate in creating a sustainable tourism model. Education about environmental awareness and cultural preservation must be an integral part of tourism development strategies. With the right approach, Bali can become a successful example of managing tourism sustainably, providing economic benefits while preserving its cultural heritage and natural environment.

Abstract

Pengelolaan troli yang optimal merupakan faktor penting dalam mendukung efisiensi operasional room attendant di industri perhotelan. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Pacific Palace Hotel Batam untuk mengidentifikasi kendala dalam pengelolaan troli yang memengaruhi produktivitas staf housekeeping, terutama pada tingkat hunian tinggi. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, penelitian ini melibatkan wawancara dengan tiga informan kunci (Executive Housekeeping, Supervisor Housekeeping, dan Staff Housekeeping), observasi langsung, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterbatasan jumlah troli, kondisi fisik troli yang rusak, penataan barang yang tidak terorganisir, lokasi penyimpanan troli yang tidak strategis, serta kurangnya edukasi staf merupakan kendala utama yang menurunkan efisiensi operasional. Penundaan waktu kerja akibat permasalahan ini tercatat mencapai 30–40 menit per shift. Pembahasan mengungkapkan bahwa perbaikan dalam manajemen troli dapat meningkatkan efisiensi kerja hingga 20%, sesuai dengan penelitian sebelumnya. Rekomendasi yang diusulkan meliputi penambahan jumlah troli, perbaikan kondisi fisik troli melalui pemeliharaan rutin, penerapan standar penataan barang, penempatan strategis lokasi penyimpanan troli, dan pelatihan staf secara berkala. Implementasi rekomendasi ini diharapkan dapat mengurangi waktu kerja yang terbuang, meningkatkan produktivitas room attendant, serta mendukung kualitas pelayanan kepada tamu. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pengelolaan troli yang baik tidak hanya meningkatkan efisiensi operasional tetapi juga berkontribusi terhadap kepuasan tamu dan reputasi hotel. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi praktis bagi manajemen hotel dalam merumuskan strategi peningkatan operasional housekeeping.

Abstract

Local wisdom-based culture is one part of tourism that needs to be developed. Budo Village, Wori District, North Minahasa has a culture that is still held by the community. The purpose of this study is to determine the potential and strategy for developing local wisdom-based cultural potential. This study uses a qualitative approach to data collection techniques with literature studies, observations and structured interviews. Data analysis is based on SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats analysis) Based on the results of the study, local wisdom-based cultural tourism in Budo Village includes: Tulude traditional festival; Mutual cooperation life of Mapalus togetherness; Ginto handicrafts and Masamper and Pato-pato dance arts. The results of the SWOT analysis formulated a strategy for developing local wisdom-based Cultural Tourism in Budo Village. 1) Increasing the development of cultural attractions for tourist attractions. 2) Involving the community in cultural performances and performances in order to maintain and preserve local culture and wisdom and improve community welfare. 3) Building awareness of the younger generation to preserve, maintain, and protect cultural attractions, arts and crafts for the sustainability of local community wisdom. 4) Improving accommodation such as facilities for organizing cultural attraction facilities 5). Abstract

The Nadran ceremony is an annual tradition among coastal communities in Indramayu, serving as an expression of gratitude to God for abundant marine harvests. This ritual reflects rich local cultural values such as social solidarity, maritime spirituality, and marine environmental preservation. This study aims to explore the traditional values embedded in the Nadran ceremony and its potential as a cultural tourism attraction. A qualitative approach was employed, using participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and visual documentation techniques. The findings reveal that Nadran functions not only as a religious ritual but also as a means of expressing the collective identity of coastal communities. Its potential as a cultural tourism attraction is significant if managed participatively and sustainably. The involvement of local communities in preservation efforts and the contextual packaging of the attraction are key to developing traditional tourism based on local values. These findings are expected to enhance understanding of the integration between local cultural preservation and sustainable tourism development in coastal areas.

Abstract

This research examines the interaction between gastronomy and law through a regulative approach to culinary practices in Kuningan Regency, West Java, Indonesia. The region is known for its diverse traditional culinary treasures and is an important part of the local cultural identity. However, the development of the culinary sector cannot be separated from the influence of various legal regulations, both formal ones such as business licensing, halal certification, and food safety standards, as well as informal social norms that live in the community. The research method used is a qualitative approach with field study methods, in-depth interviews with local culinary business actors, and normative analysis of regional regulations and national policies related to food and intangible cultural heritage. This research also examines the dynamics between traditional culinary practices and modern legal demands. The results show that there is a tension between local culinary preservation efforts and the need to fulfill formal legal requirements, such as distribution permits and certification. Many small businesses experience administrative barriers and additional costs in meeting these requirements. On the other hand, there is great potential for the law to play a role in the protection and promotion of traditional cuisine if integrated with cultural and tourism policies. In conclusion, the interaction between gastronomy and law in Kuningan reflects the importance of harmonization between the regulatory framework and socio-cultural dynamics. A more inclusive and contextual legal approach is needed to support the sustainability of local culinary as part of the national cultural heritage.

Abstract

This study aims to explore and analyze the extent to which the principles of economic, socio-cultural, and environmental sustainability are implemented in the Bali Spirit Festival held in Ubud, Bali. The festival is an internationally recognized annual event combining spirituality, wellness, and local culture. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed through in-depth interviews with the festival's founder and relevant stakeholders. The findings reveal that the Bali Spirit Festival significantly contributes to economic sustainability by empowering local MSMEs, generating employment, and promoting local products. From the socio-cultural perspective, the festival promotes local and global cultural expression, although challenges remain in avoiding cultural commodification. Environmentally, the festival has adopted several eco-friendly practices, but waste management and energy consumption still require improvement. This research underscores the importance of collaboration between festival organizers, local communities, and government bodies to realize holistic sustainability practices in event management. The findings are expected to inform future sustainable event policies in similar tourism destinations.
