Abstract

The implementation of the Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle (3R) program in educational institutions plays a strategic role in fostering environmental awareness from an early age; however, its evaluation has often relied on descriptive approaches rather than objective data-driven analysis. This study aims to analyze the level of success of the 3R program implementation in schools and to identify the key factors influencing its success using a data mining approach with the C4.5 algorithm. A quantitative descriptive-analytic method was employed, utilizing primary data collected through observation and documentation of 3R program activities in schools. The data analysis followed the knowledge discovery in databases (KDD) process, including data selection, preprocessing, transformation, modeling, and evaluation. The results indicate that the C4.5 algorithm achieved a classification accuracy of 98.94%, demonstrating excellent model performance. The generated decision tree reveals that student participation is the most influential factor in determining the success of the 3R program, followed by parental involvement and teacher support. These findings suggest that the success of the 3R program is not solely determined by school policies, but largely depends on the active participation of key educational stakeholders. This study provides practical implications for schools and policymakers by offering a data-driven evaluation model that supports more objective decision-making and promotes the integration of environmental programs into the learning process within educational institutions.

Abstract

Quarter-life crisis is an emotional state commonly experienced by individuals in the emerging adulthood phase, namely the age range of 18–25 years, especially among final-year students. This condition is characterized by the emergence of anxiety, fear, confusion, and uncertainty regarding the future, particularly in achieving and determining career direction. The phenomenon of quarter-life crisis is generally felt when students are in the final stage of higher education and begin to face the realities of life after college, such as the demands of immediately entering the world of work and determining career choices that align with personal interests, abilities, and expectations. Uncertainty about job opportunities often triggers feelings of doubt and psychological stress. This study aims to determine the meaning of quarter-life crisis due to career confusion in final-year students, and explore their experiences in dealing with this condition. This study uses a qualitative approach with Edmund Husserl's phenomenology method to understand the subjective experiences of informants in depth. The Symbolic Interactionism theory of George Herbert Mead and Herbert Blumer is used as a theoretical basis in analyzing the meaning-making process carried out by students. The results show that final-year students have diverse experiences and meanings in dealing with quarter-life crisis due to career confusion. This meaning is formed through intrapersonal communication processes, such as self-reflection and inner dialogue, which influence how individuals interpret environmental demands and the uncertain future they face.

Abstract

The importance of knowing how fandoms respond to something they are interested in, whether it's K-Pop, Anime, or Movies. One of the popular fandoms right now is the Alien Stage fandom, a work of animation created by VIVINOS. This aims to understand popular topics widely discussed among the fandom, especially on applications like YouTube comment sections, which serve as a place for fandom interaction to foster close relationships with each other. However, due to the large volume and number of comments in the comment section, this sometimes presents a challenge for identification. Therefore, using text mining can be a solution to find out popular topics among fandoms, which involves collecting comment data using data crawling, cleaning it during the data preprocessing stage, and extracting keywords using TF-IDF to produce the top 10 keywords. The results show that the characters of Ivan and Till became very popular and widely discussed topics, demonstrating how fans felt emotional connections to the characters and storylines in ROUND 6.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of tourism marketing communication mix in increasing the number of visitors at Curup Tujuh Waterfall Destination, Marga Jaya Village, Selagai Lingga District, Central Lampung Regency in 2024. The research background is based on the gap between the high natural tourism potential of the destination and the fluctuation in tourist arrivals. This study employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation studies involving destination managers, village officials, local communities, and tourists. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the implementation of the tourism marketing communication mix has not been optimal and integrated. Each element of marketing communication, including advertising, sales promotion, public relations, digital marketing, and word-of-mouth communication, has been applied partially without a clear strategic plan. The use of digital media has not been professionally managed and has not yet succeeded in building a consistent destination image. The increase in tourist arrivals is more influenced by seasonal factors rather than by the effectiveness of marketing communication strategies. Limited message integration and weak collaboration among stakeholders have become major constraints in enhancing the destination’s competitiveness. This study concludes that strengthening an integrated, collaborative, and experience-oriented marketing communication mix is essential to achieve sustainable growth in tourist visits.

Songs as a form of artistic expression have the power to convey deep emotional messages. One of the works that is full of meaning is "Promise" by EXO, which not only serves as entertainment but also as a medium of communication between artists and fans. This study aims to analyze the meaning of commitment in the lyrics of the song "Promise" using Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotic approach. The method used is qualitative descriptive, by interpreting the signs in the lyrics as representations, objects, and interpretants. The results of the analysis show that the lyrics of this song contain messages about loyalty, regret, and determination to stay together in any condition. Commitment is represented as a form of emotional responsibility and a strong desire to improve oneself and maintain relationships. In addition, this study relates the meaning of commitment in songs to interpersonal communication, emphasizing that music can be an effective and profound means of communication in conveying personal and collective messages. These findings show that popular music can serve as a medium for emotional reflection while strengthening the social bond between artists and listeners.

Abstract

Fifth Generation (5G) New Radio (NR) technology has become a crucial element in the digitalization process in Indonesia, with the initial phase focused on Java Island as the country's main economic region. This study explores the gap in 5G network coverage on Java Island through an analysis of gNodeB infrastructure distribution using descriptive quantitative methods and spatial analysis. The findings indicate that although Java dominates approximately 67.6% of the country's 5G infrastructure, its distribution remains highly uneven. DKI Jakarta achieves almost complete coverage, while West Java, Central Java, and East Java only record coverage rates below 15%, which is limited to metropolitan areas. Technical aspects such as the dominance of the 2.3 GHz mid-band spectrum, low gNodeB density, and the adoption of Non-Standalone (NSA) architecture are the causes of poor coverage and service quality, with throughput ranging from 200–400 Mbps and latency between 20–30 ms. This situation highlights the digital divide on the island of Java, where regencies and sub-urban areas are still lagging far behind. In order to support equitable and inclusive digitalization, a strategy for equal distribution is needed, including multi-band spectrum allocation, accelerating the transition to Standalone (SA) architecture, and developing more equitable infrastructure outside metropolitan centers.

Abstract

This final project is entitled “Application of Participatory Narration in the Scriptwriting of the Video Documentary “Dari Rasi Jadi Mimpi: Langkah Menjaga Tradisi””. This work aims to apply a participatory narrative approach in the scriptwriting of a documentary video documentary that represents the efforts of the Kampung Adat Cireundeu community in preserving the Sunda Wiwitan tradition, particularly through the cultural practice of rasi as a symbol of identity and food self-sufficiency. The creation method employs a qualitative approach using observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The participatory narrative positions the indigenous community as the primary subject of the storytelling process, with the narrative constructed from the participants’ lived experiences and perspectives. The narrative structure is organized into three stages—introduction, development, and conclusion—to ensure coherence while maintaining the authenticity of the participants’ voices. The results indicate that the participatory narrative approach enhances the representation of social and cultural realities and fosters stronger audience engagement. However, this work also identifies limitations, including the dominance of certain informants, tension between expository and participatory narrative modes, and editorial compromises during the editing process. Despite these limitations, the participatory narrative approach remains relevant for documentary scriptwriting that emphasizes subject participation and the preservation of local cultural values.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the implementation of digital wellness in social media usage as a preventive measure against online harassment among Generation Z. The research employs a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method to explore the in-depth experiences of five informants—active university students and social media users who have encountered online harassment. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and analyzed using the Colaizzi method to identify key themes. The results reveal five significant findings: social media usage patterns among Generation Z, their experiences with online harassment, the meaning of digital symbols in online interactions, the digital wellness strategies implemented, and how digital wellness is understood as a form of harassment prevention. These findings indicate that the experience of online harassment triggers awareness and preventive actions through digital wellness practices, including strategies such as digital detox, account selection, privacy settings, and the removal of specific applications. Theoretically, this study contributes to enriching the study of symbolic interactionism by linking the meaning of digital symbols to experiences of online harassment. Practically, it provides an overview of digital wellness strategies that Generation Z can implement to maintain a balance in social media use and prevent the recurrence of online harassment in the digital space.
