Abstract

This study is motivated by the tension between legal certainty and justice in the application of force majeure in modern business contracts during the COVID-19 pandemic, when force majeure clauses often fail to protect structurally weaker parties. This study aims to critically examine the concept, application, and interpretation of force majeure in the Indonesian contract law system and reconstruct it as an instrument for correcting injustice that is oriented towards balancing the interests of the parties. The research uses a normative legal method with a legislative and conceptual approach, relying on the analysis of primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials collected through literature studies and analyzed qualitatively and prescriptively. The results show that force majeure in practice is more often operated as a formalistic exculpatory mechanism than as a means of fair risk redistribution, so that the burden of pandemic losses tends to be concentrated on small businesses and parties with weak bargaining positions. Through the integration of corrective and distributive justice theories, the principle of freedom of contract, good faith, and public policy in times of crisis, this study offers a layered interpretive framework that encourages renegotiation, proportional loss sharing, and protection of vulnerable parties. These findings imply the need to redesign force majeure clauses, strengthen the orientation toward justice in contract dispute rulings, and develop policies that synergize private contracts with social justice objectives. The agenda for further research remains open

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the mental health status of public school teachers in Andkhoy District, Faryab Province, Afghanistan, and to identify the factors influencing their psychological well-being. Using a quantitative survey design, data were collected from 210 teachers selected through stratified proportional random sampling. The GHQ-28 questionnaire was employed to measure four dimensions of mental health: physical symptoms, anxiety and insomnia, social dysfunction, and depression. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive and inferential statistics with SPSS version 26. The findings reveal that teachers’ overall mental health is at a moderate or borderline level, indicating the presence of considerable psychological stress. Among the dimensions, depression shows the highest mean score, suggesting a greater vulnerability to emotional distress. However, inferential analysis indicates that demographic variables such as gender, marital status, and teaching experience do not have a significant effect on mental health. This suggests that environmental and occupational factors, including workload, limited resources, and lack of institutional support, play a more dominant role in shaping teachers’ psychological conditions. The study highlights the urgent need for targeted interventions, such as counseling services, stress management programs, and improved organizational support. Enhancing teachers’ mental health is essential not only for their well-being but also for improving teaching quality and educational outcomes.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the integration of Pancasila values in learning and its impact on the formation of student character in the digital era in SMAN and MAN in West Lombok Regency. The research background is based on the increasing challenges of globalization and technological developments that have implications for the moral degradation of students, such as low tolerance, increased bullying, and weak social responsibility. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design through observation, interview, and documentation techniques, and is analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The results of the study show that the integration of Pancasila values is carried out through contextual learning, project-based learning, and reflective discussions. This strategy is able to increase student engagement and provide a more meaningful learning experience. The impact can be seen in increasing tolerance, social responsibility, national and state awareness, and students' ability to think critically about social issues. This shows that Pancasila education plays a role in forming character holistically, not only cognitive, but also affective and behavioral aspects. However, implementation still faces obstacles in the form of limited teacher competence, the negative influence of social media, and a lack of environmental support. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen teacher capacity, digital literacy, and collaboration between schools, families, and the community.

Abstract

This study examines the role of Pancasila values and local Papuan culture in shaping the character of sports students at Cenderawasih University, particularly in strengthening moral, social, and cultural integrity amid globalization challenges. A descriptive quantitative approach was employed, involving 29 students from the Sports Education Study Program selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a four-point Likert scale questionnaire covering indicators of Pancasila values (belief in God, humanity, unity, democracy, and justice) and Papuan cultural values (solidarity, togetherness, respect for customs, and collective courage). Data analysis utilized percentage techniques with descriptive classification criteria. The findings reveal that all indicators fall within the outstanding category, with average scores ranging from 84% to 92%. These results indicate that students have successfully internalized values such as religiosity, empathy, cooperation, sportsmanship, fairness, and respect for tradition in both academic and athletic contexts. The study confirms that integrating Pancasila and Papuan cultural values significantly contributes to the development of resilient, ethical, and identity-driven sports students. Therefore, higher education institutions are encouraged to systematically embed these values into curricula, instructional strategies, and extracurricular programs to produce graduates who are not only academically and physically competent but also morally grounded and socially responsible in a globalized world.

Abstract

Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) in vocational laboratories is critical due to high-risk activities such as spray painting and oven drying involving chemical exposure, heat, and fire hazards. This study aims to analyze OSH risks in spray booth and oven operations at the Automotive Engineering Laboratory of Universitas Negeri Makassar using Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Fishbone Diagram methods. A mixed descriptive approach was applied through observation, interviews with 15 respondents, and documentation review. Risk assessment was conducted using a risk matrix (likelihood × severity), followed by root cause analysis. The results show that the highest risk level occurs in spray painting activities with a score of R=16 (high risk), mainly due to VOC exposure. Most hazards are categorized as moderate risk (R=10–12), while low risk is R=9. Compliance with personal protective equipment usage is only 70%, indicating behavioral safety gaps. Fishbone analysis reveals that human and environmental factors are the dominant causes of risk. The integration of JSA and Fishbone provides comprehensive hazard identification and root cause analysis. These findings highlight that 60% of risks are moderate, 20% high, and 20% low, emphasizing the urgency of strengthening OSH systems in laboratory environments to prevent occupational accidents effectively.

Abstract

The vanilla plant (Vanilla planifolia) is a high-value commodity, but it is highly susceptible to microclimatic fluctuations and disease attacks, especially stem and root rot closely related to Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. vanillae. A review of the literature also shows that temperature, humidity, and shade conditions affect vanilla growth, whereas conventional monitoring approaches often detect disease risk too late. This paper presents a systematic literature study with the help of Google Scholar-based Publish or Perish (PoP), enriched by targeted searches on ScienceDirect and Web of Science, and reported to follow the principles of PRISMA 2020. The synthesis results show that the integration of IoT, microclimate sensors, and AI has the potential to form a more precise Early Warning System through the MDRI index, which is a weighted risk score that collects parameters of temperature, relative humidity, VPD, light intensity, soil moisture, and history of daily conditions. Conceptually, MDRI can be applied to edge devices to provide early warnings, recommendations for cultivation actions, and the basis for data-driven decision-making. This paper emphasizes that the IoT–AI approach is not just a monitoring tool, but the foundation of an adaptive and sustainable vanilla disease risk management system.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategy of increasing corn productivity through a climate change mitigation approach based on sustainable agricultural policies based on the values of Pancasila in Dompu Regency. The method used is a mixed approach with quantitative analysis through multiple linear regression and qualitative analysis to explore policy implementation, farmer behavior, and internalization of Pancasila values in agricultural practices. Data was collected through questionnaires, in-depth interviews, field observations, and secondary data from related agencies. The results of the study show that climate change mitigation, sustainable agricultural policies, Pancasila values, and farmer capacity have a positive and significant effect on corn productivity. The use of drought-resistant varieties and input subsidy support are the dominant factors in increasing production yields, while technology adoption and training participation are still relatively low. In addition, Pancasila values such as mutual cooperation, social justice, and environmental ethics have been proven to strengthen farmers' social capital which has an impact on increasing the efficiency and sustainability of farming businesses. This research produces an integrative strategy model that combines technical, policy, social, and ideological aspects as a holistic approach in sustainable agricultural development. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of synergy between the government, farmers, and stakeholders in creating a productive, adaptive, and equitable agricultural system

Abstract

HIV screening in pregnant women is an important step to prevent mother-to-child transmission of HIV and ensure proper treatment for infected mothers. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of HIV/AIDS screening services for pregnant women at the Sentani Health Center, Jayapura Regency, in 2024. This study used qualitative methods with a phenomenological approach. The number of participants in this study was 6 participants consisting of pregnant women, midwives and P2P officers who involved in-depth interviews. The results of the study showed that although the HIV screening program for pregnant women had been implemented according to the guidelines, there were several obstacles that affected the effectiveness of the implementation, such as limited officers, lack of knowledge of pregnant women about the importance of screening, and the stigma associated with HIV/AIDS. In addition, inadequate facilities and test kits are also challenges in providing optimal services. This study suggests the need for increased training for health workers, further socialization to the community, and improved facilities and equipment to support the implementation of more effective and efficient HIV/AIDS screening.
