Abstract

When someone perceives significant differences in others, they may feel anxious about the potential for negative interactions or undesirable outcomes that may arise from such interactions. This is referred to as intergroup anxiety. It is important to research the validity and reliability of the intergroup anxiety scale for international students in Indonesia because intergroup anxiety affects various psychological variables in them. One of the most commonly used instruments to measure intergroup anxiety is the Intergroup Anxiety Scale (IAS) by Walter G. Stephan and Cookie White Stephan, developed since 1985. This study aims to evaluate the psychometric properties of the IAS in the context of international students in Indonesia. From the analysis of 100 collected data points, the results show that the IAS used in this study meets the criteria for content validity, construct validity, and reliability. The results indicate that the IAS meets four Goodness of Fit criteria, with RMSEA = 0.079, SRMR = 0.074, NFI = 0.90, and CFI = 0.95. Furthermore, the reliability of the IAS was evaluated with an Average Variance Extracted (AVE) value of 0.57. The overall Composite Reliability (CR) value reached 0.93. Therefore, it can be concluded that the IAS is a valid and reliable tool for measuring self-construal among international students in Indonesia.

The independence of examiners influences fraud detection in regional government financial reports. This shows that the independence of auditors at BPK RI West Java Province Representative is considered good but needs to be improved to be better. The professional skepticism of auditors in conducting audits influences fraud detection in regional government financial reports which are assessed. Good, although it still needs to be improved to be better.

Abstract

Located at an altitude of 1,291 meters above sea level, Mount Sanggabuana is located in the Sanggabuana Mountains area and is the only highland with tropical rainforest in Karawang Regency. The tropical rainforest of the Sanggabuana Mountains is one of the oxygen and water contributors to the Karawang community with high natural tourism potential. In 2020 the status of the Sanggabuana Mountains forest, which is a Limited Production Forest, is proposed to be changed to a Nature Conservation Area with National Park status. The structuring of facilities and infrastructure, which has not been optimized, can affect the ecological, aesthetic and social value of a natural tourism destination comprehensively. This research aims to identify the natural attraction zone of Mount Sanggabuana as a natural tourism area design that prioritizes sustainable aspects by adopting the concept of ecotourism. This research uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The analysis used is overlap analysis (superimpose) through the GIS (Geographic Information System) program produces natural tourism park zones supporting the Mount Sanggabuana area as a National Park.

Abstract

Several regions in Indonesia such as Aceh, Central Sulawesi, NTB and Maluku have experienced conflict situations with ethnic, religious, racial and inter-group backgrounds. This background carries the risk of conflict triggering acts of violence-based extremism and radicalism which of course have an impact on the development of children born and growing up in conflict areas. Extremist behavior that leads to radical actions and acts of terror involving children has occurred in Indonesia in cases of family suicide bombings. Effective interventions are needed to control the potential for radicalization in children. This research uses a qualitative approach using data collection methods through literature studies to understand and detail the dynamics related to children involved in radicalism and violent extremism, especially in the context of acts of terrorism in Indonesia. Data from literature studies are used to analyze the role of family, environment and education in building children's resilience against the threat of radicalism. Through a qualitative approach, this research explores the practice of social control modes, the role of Restorative Justice (RJ), and its implications. Analysis of the classification of children involved in terrorism based on factors such as affiliation, province of origin, age, level of radicalization, and conviction provides an in-depth understanding of their characteristics and patterns of involvement. The research results provide an overview of the potential threat of exposure to radicalism and violence-based extremism targeting children.

Abstract

Hepatic cirrhosis is characterized by fibrosis and formation of liver nodules caused by chronic injury, causing changes in the normal lobular organization of the heart. Hepatic cirrhosis can occur in all genders and about two-thirds occurs in men and one part in women. Diabetic patients can experience insulin resistance, which can be the basis for the development of complications into liver cirrhosis. This case study describes a 55 year old male patient who was diagnosed with hepatic cirrhosis with diabetes mellitus and discussed the course of the disease to the therapy given to the patient. A 55 year old male patient came with complaints of shortness of breath that had been felt for 3 months before entering the hospital. Based on the history, physical examination and search, the patient was diagnosed with liver cirrhosis, multiple liver nodules, type 2 diabetes mellitus and pulmonary tuberculosis. Hepatic cirrhosis can be caused by various diseases, one of which is diabetes mellitus. Diabetes can progress to nonalcoholic fatty liver disease and eventually to cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma. Insulin resistance syndrome is the main factor that can cause cirrhosis in diabetes patients. Early diagnosis, resistance and control of risk factors as well as appropriate treatment also play an important role in reducing the damage to the prognosis of patients with hepatic cirrhosis due to diabetes mellitus.

Abstract

The government has initiated a lot of effort to control birthrate, and solve demographic issues as an endeavor to improve people’s quality of life. These program targets both women and men, but there is socially constructed idea that contraception is indeed a program made only for women. The imbalance participation between men and women inspires this research. Men has been less participating in family planning despite of the availability, more importantly in vasectomy. There are stigmas in the society about vasectomy and people who chose vasectomy. Therefore, the government establishes a community-based acceptor supporting group, that acts as an agent of change, to inspire, motivate, and educate people, under the name of Prio Utomo. This research uses case study as research method, and took place in Kecamatan Getasan, Kabupaten Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia, in which case the local Prio Utomo has been categorized as one of the most successful and achieved few rewards years priors.  Analysis result based on Persuasive Communication Theory shows that the motivator from Prio Utomo utilize two dominant appeal which are psychology appeal through achievement motives, and credibility appeal. More to that, Prio Utomo has been using both personal and interpersonal approach to promote and inspire people to choose or at least consider just the idea of vasectomy.  This research also found that the characteristic of people in some places might affect how well the idea and good message about vasectomy is being received.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the efficiency and effectiveness of Green Marketing. We use a case study approach focusing on the branding efforts of Le Minerale's single-use gallon water, which has gained recognition recently. Initially considered environmentally unfriendly, Le Minerale attempted to counter this perception through extensive promotion incorporating strong environmental elements and the principles of Green Marketing. To support this Green Marketing effort, they also sought to convince consumers that their gallon water is a Green Product, featuring easily recyclable packaging and water that does not undergo chemical processes. To measure Green Marketing and Green Product, we utilized the following indicators: the presence of eco labels, environmental advertisements, and eco brands. The quantitative data analysis technique we employed is the associative method to determine the relationship between two or more variables. We also conducted Focus Group Discussions and interviews to reinforce our findings, in addition to relying on Likert scale-based questionnaires. Our goal is to produce a journal and scientific report explaining the relationship between Green Product and Green Marketing as independent variables influencing the purchasing decision of Le Minerale gallon water. For data processing, we have prepared SPSS technology. We hope that this research can serve as a foundation for studies on the importance of environmentally-focused promotion. Below is our research proposal on the effectiveness of Green Marketing and Green Product on the purchasing decision of Le Minerale gallon water.
