Abstract

Objective: The purpose of this research was to evaluate and select the best architecture among native convolutional neural network (CNN), MobileNetV2, ResNet50V2, and EfficientNetB0 for predicting the endpoint of the high shear wet granulation process, with accuracy as the main evaluation metric. Methods: The dataset was captured from an industrial camera using static image analysis and was manually labeled as “NOT READY” and “READY” according to the traditional endpoint method based on the mixer’s ampere point in the granulator. The dataset contained a total of 180 images, which were split between training and validation sets. Native CNN and TensorFlow Keras application programming interface (API) were utilized with MobileNetV2, EfficientNetB0, and ResNet50V2 as base feature encoders. Hyperparameters, such as final Fully Connected (FC) layer width, dropout rate, and learning rate, were optimized for binary classification using Keras hyper tuning. Results: The best was the native CNN, it was also the fastest among the three other models, taking only 20-30 ms per step for inference during runtime, though it requires 9000 ms time for training, the longest time among the models. It achieved an accuracy of 98%, and a validation accuracy of 97%. Conclusion: The system was able to determine when a wet granulation process has reached its endpoint based on live images from a camera after being trained on previously labeled data. The native CNN was the best model, offering the fastest runtime performance and the highest accuracy.

Abstract

One of the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on industries in Indonesia is the implementation of strict mobility restrictions, including in the IT industry. The increased demand for online services and information technology has driven development and innovation to create new ideas in the application of information technology across various fields, such as e-commerce, online learning, work from home (WFH), and others. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing employee performance and formulate strategies to improve employee performance effectiveness in the implementation of a hybrid work system in switching service companies. The study involves 83 samples using probability sampling techniques with simple random sampling. Data processing employs the Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) method and the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method. The results show that Work Environment, Technology Infrastructure, Work Efficiency, and Intrinsic Motivation have a significant direct impact on Employee Performance, and Work Autonomy has a significant indirect impact through the Intrinsic Motivation variable on Employee Performance. However, Work Autonomy does not have a significant direct impact on Employee Performance. Several recommendations include efforts to address issues hindering performance achievement, particularly in cases where employees experience a decline in performance when the hybrid work system is implemented. To enhance employee performance, companies can take strategic steps in several crucial aspects, such as work environment, technology infrastructure, work efficiency, and intrinsic motivation.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the protection of land rights for the residentsof Pantai Bahagia village based on national agrarian law. The method used is the juridical-empirical method. The juridical-empirical method is a research approach that examines thecurrent regulations as seen from the realities in society, or research that observes theapplication of the law in its actual state. The results of this study indicate that the form ofprotection of land rights that can be provided to the 2014 households in Pantai BahagiaVillage, who occupy land in forest areas, can be realized through the release of forest areas. The release of these forest areas is carried out through a request to the Ministry ofEnvironment and Forestry (KLHK), considering evidence of land ownership and historicaldata possessed by the community. With the release of the forest area, the community canthen register the land as their property rights, thus providing legal certainty over their land.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the threat of edge effects on endemic animal populations due to the presence of causeways in the TNGHS corridor habitat. Indicators of the occurrence of edge effects are characterized by the further distance of wildlife populations from sources of disturbance such as noise, light, and frequency of human activity mechanisms. Belt transect research method for population study and distribution of Javan Gibbon and Surili. Intensive Point Account (IPA) to measure the diversity index of bird species and Javan eagles. Encounter Rate is used for animal distribution studies. Results On the observation transect made along 3 km, the population density of Javan Gibbons was obtained 0.114 ind/ha, Surili 0.024 indv/ha, and Monkey 0.028 indv/ha. Bird species diversity index in 3 habitat patches each Purasari H'= 2.78 with 38 species; Garehong with 27 species, and Corridor H'= 3,087 with 27 species. The similarity of species is that there are only 7 species of birds found in the 3 habitats of the patch. As a result of primate population density and burng species similarity, it can be concluded that the cross-corridor access road area has experienced an edge effect and tends to be a bottle-neck area for the distribution of animals, especially primates.

Abstract

Higher education plays an important role in preparing students for the workforce.  This article looks at modelling ideal work practices for students with a focus on improving the quality of their education and career preparation. The main objective is to build a conceptual and operational framework to gain a solid basis for investigating the main factors related to the ideal work practice model that leads to student satisfaction academically. The final result of this proposal is also expected to be able to produce variables in order to make online learning better meet the needs of students. For this reason, this proposal will develop an operational model to be tested by referring to the conception of the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT). In the end, as the final result, this study is expected to give birth to an integrated idea, how to implement more effective work practices in the future seen from the student side. Then, what should colleges prepare and do? To achieve that, this study will use the Mixed Methods. Precisely exploratory design (exploratory design). That is, the study was carried out with a qualitative approach first. Then proceed with a quantitative approach. The end result of this qualitative process will produce operational thinking shells that can be continued the quantitative analysis process. The results of this study are expected to contribute to the development of concepts and literature on ideal work practices in online learning seen through a combination of UTAUT conceptions.

Abstract

The implementation of Good University Governance (GUG) in higher education institutions has an impact on the performance of the respective institutions. GUG is a system that regulates and controls higher education institutions to create added value, benefiting all stakeholders. The objective of this research is to compile a systematic literature review scientifically, starting from data collection, selection, reading, and finally data analysis. This analysis relates to the study of GUG implementation's impact on higher education performance. The research method used in this study is a systematic literature review (SLR) approach on journal papers published from 2019 to 2023. There are three Research Questions (RQs) and three Quality Assessments (QAs) defined in this study. The impact of GUG on the performance of higher education institutions is positive and significant. The findings indicate that studies from 2019 to 2023 on the impact of GUG on performance have predominantly been conducted in public universities, using SEM PLS data analysis methods, with the "transparency" variable being the most frequently used GUG principle. Moreover, the results demonstrate that GUG implementation positively influences the performance of higher education institutions. The managerial implications of this research support Permendikbud No 4 of 2020 regarding the transformation of state universities (PTN) into state universities with legal entity status (PTNBH). Article 2 states that one of the requirements for PTN to become PTNBH is to manage the organization based on GUG principles. Thus, this research provides insights for regulators in measuring the implementation of GUG.
