Abstract

Aktivitas transportasi yang menggunakan kendaraan berbahan bakar fosil menyumbang pencemaran udara dalam bentuk gas dan partikel. Kualitas udara yang buruk di wilayah perkotaan umumnya disebabkan oleh tingginya kadar polutan dari emisi gas buang kendaraan, baik milik pribadi maupun umum. Salah satu kota yang mengalami peningkatan signifikan dalam jumlah kendaraan adalah Kota Makassar. Bertambahnya jumlah kendaraan bermotor berdampak pada meningkatnya emisi yang mencemari lingkungan dan membahayakan kesehatan masyarakat. Salah satu jenis polutan yang dihasilkan kendaraan bermotor adalah Total Suspended Particulate (TSP). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi tingkat konsentrasi TSP dalam udara ambien serta hubungannya dengan kecepatan angin. Data diperoleh melalui pengukuran langsung menggunakan alat High Volume Air Sampler (HVAS). Penelitian dilakukan pada enam ruas jalan di Kota Makassar selama tiga waktu sibuk (peak hour) setiap harinya di masing-masing lokasi. Hasil pengukuran menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi TSP tertinggi mencapai 398,67 ?g/Nm³, yang tercatat di Jalan Perintis Kemerdekaan. Angka ini melebihi ambang batas kualitas udara ambien berdasarkan Peraturan Pemerintah Republik Indonesia No. 41 Tahun 1999. Analisis korelasi antara kecepatan angin dan konsentrasi TSP menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang cukup kuat, dengan nilai korelasi sebesar 0,709.

Abstract

The incineration from the coal industry produces waste such as bottom ash and fly ash that can pollute the environment. The use of waste in particular produced by PLTU Kertasari district of West Sumbawa is still not optimal so there needs to be an alternative to address the problem. The study used experimental methods to obtain the composition of a mixture of additive fly ash as cement additive and bottom ash as a substitute for sand on concrete. The objective of the study was to find out the slump values, the Compressive Strength of concrete pressure at age 7 and 28 days on the variations of fly ash 0%, 20%, 40%. and 60% as well as to find the strength comparisons of the pressure concrete life 7 and 28. The study used a cylinder-shaped test object of 15 test objects where for each variation there were 3 testing objects. As for the result obtained is a slump value with additive fly ash producing the largest mixture at 0% variation that is of 11.5 cm. The Compressive Strength value of concrete produced at the age of 7 days is at a variation of 60% which is of 6,09 MPa. Whereas at the age of 28 days the highets compressive strength valeu of concrete was produced at the age of 28 days with a variation of 60% namely 13,02 MPa.

Abstract

This study designs a water wheel for micro-hydropower generation with low-head flow of the Undershot type. The water wheel is designed with a head height of 0.5 meters, a diameter of 1.10 meters, and 16 blades, producing a planned power of 6.536 kW. The peripheral speed of the wheel is 0.28 meters per second with a rotation speed of 4.05 rpm. The blade receives water at a rate of 1.4 m³/second, generating a fluid force of 840 Newtons. The angular velocity of the wheel is 0.424 rad/second, and the shaft power is 5.556 kW with a shaft diameter of 0.10 meters. The static equivalent load is calculated to be 438.91 Newtons. This water wheel is expected to utilize slow but constant water flow to generate electricity, helping the rice field area in Manemeng village to maximize harvest yields and control pests.

Abstract

Politeknik ATI Makassar has introduced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, and Big Data Analytics in the Discrete Manufacturing Systems course. This research focuses on the application of Data Science using the Orange Data Mining application for the classification and clustering of animals. The adopted experimental method involves controlling variables by following the CRISP-DM methodology. Evaluation results indicate that the logistic regression model is the best, with an AUC accuracy of 1 and a precision of 0.962. Clustering resulted in two clusters: C1 for cats and C2 for cows, with a silhouette score of 0.145. This research demonstrates the effectiveness of the Orange Data Mining application in teaching discrete manufacturing systems based on machine learning.

Abstract

The medicine warehouse of the West Java Provincial Health Service is a drug dispensing center which has various data regarding drug dispensing in 2023. Data analysis shows that drugs in tablet form are the most dominant unit in the dispensing process, with total dispensing reaching 3,648 times to all health facilities or City/Regency Health Offices throughout West Java. Given the significance of the use of tablet drugs, this study proposes the application of demand forecasting analysis as a strategy to improve the efficiency of drug inventory management. By predicting the demand for tablet drugs, the West Java Provincial Health Office can more effectively prepare drug stocks, reduce the risk of shortages or excess stock, and respond to high market demand. Based on the results of data processing carried out using the Simple Linear Regression Forecasting analysis of the Antiretroviral (ARV) drug program, the MAPE was obtained at 69%, smaller than the MAPE from the Single Exponential Smoothing Forecasting analysis of 83.780%. Meanwhile, for the Buffer drug program, the Single Exponential Smoothing Forecasting analysis is more accurate than the Simple Linear Regression Forecasting analysis because the MAPE calculation results from the exponential smoothing analysis of 79.088% are smaller than the Simple Linear Regression MAPE calculation of 85%. It is expected that the demand forecasting analysis model can be a strategic tool for the Ministry of Health's drug warehouse in overcoming the challenges of drug inventory management, while reducing overall drug procurement costs.

Abstract

Climate change due to deforestation is a hot global issue today. This study analyzes the effect of deforestation on temperature, humidity, rainfall, and sunshine duration in North Sumatra Province during the period 2013-2022. A quantitative approach was used with deforestation data from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) and climate data from the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG). Pearson Product Moment correlation analysis was performed using SPSS version 29. The results showed that the average deforestation in North Sumatra reached 9,884.79 hectares per year. The correlation analysis showed a very weak to low negative relationship between deforestation and the four climate parameters analyzed, namely rainfall (r = -0.292), sunshine duration (r = -0.173), air temperature (r = -0.086), and air humidity (r = -0.056). Statistically, no significant relationship (p>0.05) was found between deforestation and climate variables, most likely due to the limited number of annual samples. This study identified that local factors such as the presence of the large Lake Toba and the conversion of deforested land to plantations act as moderators of the microclimate. This explains the impact of deforestation on temperature and humidity in this region is not always significant as theoretically assumed. Correlations between climate variables also show complex interactions, such as a very strong negative relationship between temperature and humidity (r=-0.974; p<0.001). This study provides important insights into the complexity of deforestation and microclimate interactions in a unique tropical region such as North Sumatra.

Abstract

Permintaan terhadap produk yang tidak hanya halal namun juga ramah lingkungan semakin meningkat, khususnya di kalangan konsumen Muslim Indonesia. Permintaan produk halal dan ramah lingkungan tidak terbatas hanya pada industri makanan, namun juga semakin melebar ke produk non-makanan seperti ke industri pakaian. Industri pakaian di Indonesia memainkan peran penting dalam pertumbuhan ekonomi nasional, terutama melalui kontribusi sektor industri kecil dan menengah (IKM). Di tengah meningkatnya kesadaran konsumen terhadap produk yang tidak hanya berkualitas, tetapi juga etis dan berkelanjutan, muncul kebutuhan untuk mengintegrasikan prinsip kehalalan dan keberlanjutan lingkungan (industri hijau) dalam rantai pasok industri pakaian. Namun, sebagian besar studi masih berfokus secara terpisah pada aspek halal di industri makanan atau aspek lingkungan di sektor manufaktur besar, sementara sinergi keduanya dalam konteks industri pakaian belum banyak dikaji. Penelitian ini menjadi relevan untuk menjawab tantangan kompleks yang dihadapi pelaku IKM, seperti keterbatasan sumber daya, kurangnya pedoman integratif, serta tekanan regulatif dan pasar. Melalui pendekatan sistemik seperti Soft System Methodology (SSM), penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami permasalahan nyata, membangun model konseptual, dan merumuskan strategi implementasi integrasi halal dan industri hijau secara kontekstual di sektor pakaian. Hasil penelitian diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi pada pengembangan kebijakan industri berkelanjutan dan sistem sertifikasi yang inklusif di Indonesia.

Abstract

Telang flower (Clitoria ternatea L.) is a flower that is widely used by the community as a drink. Telang flowers give a blue color to the drink but do not provide flavor, so it is necessary to add flavor to the telang flower syrup. The flavor can come from citric acid or lemon fruit. The presence of these additions will affect the characteristics of  telang syrup. The purpose of this study was to formulate and test the characteristics of syrup: organoleptic, pH, viscosity, flavonoid content and anthocyanin levels of four formulas of telang syrup. There were four formulas (F1, F2, F3 and F4) of telang syrup, the tests carried out were organoleptical color, taste, fragance and consistency, pH, viscosity, qualitative flavonoid test with color reaction, antosianin and antioxidant test using DPPH. The results showed that F1 had no fragance and blue color, while F2, F3, F4 had lemon fragance and red color. The all formulas have a sweet taste and thick consistency, pH and viscosity that meet the requirements, qualitatively containing flavonoids. The highest anthocyanin content was 2.338 and IC50 183.52 in F2. Conclusion The addition of citric acid decreased the pH, and viscosity but increased the IC50.

Abstract

The aims of this research are 1) to develop system for collection and separation of flower waste in area model; 2) to analyse the natural dye content in pacar air flower waste during the collection and drying process. The data was collected by interviewing, giving questionnaire, and observing. Respondents in this research were staff of the environmental authority and communities in 5 sub-districts at Buleleng regency. From results of questionnaire, the current behaviour of community in managing canang sari waste can be identified. Then, it can be used as basis for preparation of an effective canang sari waste collection system and qualified as natural dye raw-material. To determine the quality of flowers for collection time, natural dye extraction from pacar air flower waste was carried out at various collection times. Duration of observation time: 1-7 days after canang sari used for worship. Analysis of natural dye content in extract with several tests, used phytochemical, gravimetry, and UV-vis spectrophotometry. The conclusion that can be drawn is that flower waste collection system is carried out in two categories of locations, at places of worship and non-places of worship. Collection time is every 2 days, with the flower waste will be puchased. Sorting system is carried out by providing blue bins for flower waste and grey bins for other waste. Flower waste collected every 2 days, produces the highest natural dye content compared to other collection times, at 59.0481% grams of dye per gram of dried flowers, with anthocyanin content at 32.06185 mg/l.

Abstract

income for the local community, also have negative impacts, namely land degradation with numerous abandoned and poorly managed former mining holes. This research aims to provide practical and sustainable recommendations for adaptive reclamation activities in former artisanal mining areas in Area Y, and to serve as a guide for realizing more responsible and sustainable artisanal mining practices. The research was conducted using a qualitative method through the analysis of relevant secondary data. The study results indicate that miners tend to leave former mining holes unreclaimed. This is due to miners' limitations in both technical knowledge and capital, rendering them incapable of carrying out reclamation independently. The impact of these abandoned mining holes has the potential to become a future hazard. The selection of an adaptive land reclamation model focusing on a flexible and participatory approach has proven to be an effective and efficient method for implementing reclamation activities in artisanal mining. Both government and non-governmental agencies can conduct intensive education and training to maximize local community participation for the success of reclamation activities
