Abstract

This study aims to make RME-based worksheets using the Bubungan Lima traditional house in improving learning outcomes in class V elementary school building material. LKPD is made by combining text, pictures and examples using the Bubungan Lima traditional house. The research was conducted at SDN 27 Bengkulu Tengah in class V. This research was research and development (Reseach and Development) with a 4D model, namely the stages of defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. The research object is the RME-based LKPD in Mathematics subject of geometric shapes (cubes and blocks). The instruments used were a feasibility test questionnaire and a teacher and student response questionnaire. The feasibility test was carried out by 6 validators, namely 2 material experts, 2 linguists and 2 presentation experts. The user response test was carried out on 20 grade V students and 1 class teacher at SDN 27 Bengkulu Tengah. Data analysis was used to determine the validity of LKPD using cross-tabulations and distribution of questionnaires for student responses and interviews for teacher responses in using LKPD. The results of interviews with class V teachers showed a positive response. In other words, the LKPD used provides benefits and is effective for use as supporting teaching materials and is able to improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the influence of STEAM-based virtual reality media on Science Literacy in Science Education at the Elementary School level, specifically in terms of content, context, competence, and attitude. The research design used is a Quasi-Experimental or quasi-experimental study with a Pretest-Posttest Control Group design to examine the impact of using virtual reality media with a STEAM approach on content, context, competence, and science literacy attitude. Based on the research findings, it can be concluded that STEAM-based virtual reality media is suitable for use as teaching material in the 6th-grade Science curriculum, specifically on the topic of the solar system. The validation results show a percentage of 80% for content, 78% for language, and 86% for design. The research results indicate that in terms of content, the average learning outcomes of the experimental group were 38.04, while the control group had an average of 20.23, as evidenced by the Mann-Whitney test for science literacy. In terms of context, the average learning outcomes of the experimental group were 36.69, compared to 21.40 for the control group. Regarding competence, the inferential test for science literacy showed a mean rank of 39.79 for the experimental group and 18.73 for the control group. As for attitude, the inferential test results revealed a mean rank of 89.13 for the experimental group and 82.67 for the control group. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an influence of STEAM-based virtual reality media on the content, context, competence, and attitude aspects of Science Literacy in Science Education at the elementary school level.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop, describe the level of feasibility, find out user responses and find out the effectiveness of AKM learning materials to improve students' cognitive learning outcomes. The type of research used is research and development (Research and development). The research model in the development of teaching materials is the ADDIE model. The types of data used are quantitative and qualitative data with instruments: interviews, needs analysis, questions, expert validation sheets and user response questionnaires. Based on the results of the study it was concluded that the AKM-oriented teaching materials and the CTL approach developed were suitable for use as teaching materials in Class V Natural Sciences (IPA) content on water cycle materials. Expert validation was carried out for aspects of material feasibility, language, and design. Percentage of validation results of material aspects (67%), language (78%) and design 78%. Based on the results of the student response questionnaire to the subject matter from the presentation aspect, the proportion was 87% in the high category, the material aspect was 87% in the high category and the language aspect was 88% in the high category. AKM-oriented teaching materials and the CTL approach are effective for improving the cognitive learning outcomes of fifth grade students at SDN 87 Lebong based on the effect size (1.24) in the very effective category.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of using flipbook media with the STEAM approach on scientific literacy. The type of research used is quasi-experimental research or quasi-experimental research using the Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The design of this study was through several processes, namely the pretest, the implementation of learning in the experimental class and the control class and the implementation of the posttest. The types of data used are quantitative and qualitative data using instruments in the form of interviews, needs analysis questionnaires, question instruments, expert validation sheets and user response questionnaires. The use of flipbook media with the STEAM approach has a significant effect on scientific literacy skills in the competency aspect. The average results of competency aspects of scientific literacy in the control class were (85.45). The average results of the competence aspect of scientific literacy in the experimental class were (89.78). The effect size value is (0.91) if the percentage is (82%) in the large category. The use of flipbook media with the STEAM approach can improve scientific literacy skills in context, content and competency aspects in large categories.

Abstract

One of the skills that must be possessed in the development of the 21st century is critical thinking skills. To improve critical thinking skills, an appropriate learning model is needed. . The purpose of this study are determine the influence of the diorama media-assisted Contextual Teaching and Learning learning model on critical thinking skills in elementary science learning. The method used in this study was an experimental method while the research design of this study uses Quasi-Experiment. The data for this study were obtained from collected with an instrument in the form of a test consisting of ten multiple-choice questions and five validated description questions. The data obtained were analyzed using normality and homogeneity tests. Test Pair Sample T-Test and Independent Sample Test T-Test for dimensions of critical thinking ability to identify problems, collect relevant information, make problem solving and make conclusions obtained Sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 < 0.05. Meanwhile, for the N-Gain test, the ability dimension to identify problems by 49% in the medium category, the ability dimension to collect various relevant information by 44% in the medium category, the ability to make problem solving dimension by 39% in the medium category, and the ability to make conclusions dimension by 41% in the medium category. The results of this study suggest that by using the diorama assisted Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model can improve students' critical thinking skills in Class V science learning.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the development of Google Sites on the beautiful material of diversity in my country in class IV PPkn learning as a reinforcement of cultural and civic literacy. The type and method of research used in this study is development research. The subjects of the study were grade IV students of SD Negeri 03 Ujan Mas as an experimental class and grade IV students of SD Negeri 09 Ujan Mas as a control class. Data collection techniques use interviews, surveys and tests. Research instruments use needs analysis instruments, expert validation instruments, product test instruments, product effectiveness test instruments. Data analysis in this study was carried out by analyzing expert validity data, rater/researcher agreement, instrument development, effectiveness analysis (Normality Test, Homogeneity Test and N-Gain). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that interactive multimedia based on the Google Sites application developed according to material expert validators, design validators and language validators is declared feasible for use. From the learning outcomes of grade IV students of SD 03 Ujan mas, it is known that the effectiveness of interactive multimedia products based on the Google Sites application that has been developed shows an increase as a reinforcement of cultural and civic literacy in class IV PPKn learning on the beautiful material of diversity in my country.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the forms of vandalism behavior, which exist in SDN 03 Seberang Musi Kepahiang, and the efforts made in building a disciplined and peace-loving attitude of students from vandalism behavior. The type of research used is qualitative with a case study approach. The subjects in this study were students as the main informants, and teachers and school caretakers as supporting informants. The instrument in this study was the researcher himself. As a key instrument the researcher made his own set of observation tools, interview guides which were used for recording during the field. The data collectors used were observation sheets, interviews, and document studies. Data analysis techniques used interactive models from Miles, Huberman, and Saldana, namely data collection, data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the forms of vandalism that were carried out by SDN 03 SBM students were the destruction of school facilities such as scribbling on walls, tables, chairs, breaking glass, and destroying cleaning equipment. The cause of vandalism by students at SDN 03 is because they feel bored and feel resentment or anger. Efforts were also found to build a disciplined and peace-loving attitude of students towards vandalism behavior at SDN 03 SBM, namely in the form of increasing teacher supervision, providing facilities, carrying out school and class activities, and repainting the walls. SBM is due to lack of supervision, weak self-control, solicitation of colleagues, and lack of family motivation. Apart from that, SDN 03 SBM has also made efforts to build a disciplined and peace-loving attitude towards its students.

Abstract

This study aims to explain planning, reveal and describe the implementation and evaluation of the implementation of religious and independent character education through habituation based on school culture in SD Negeri 03 Kabawetan. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive research. The subjects in this study were teachers, students and the principal of SD Negeri 03 Kabawetan, Kepahiang Regency. The research instruments are interviews, observation, and document study. The data analysis technique used is interactive model data analysis, including: data collection, data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or verification. The results showed that: 1) Planning for the implementation of religious and independent character values ​​through habituation based on school culture at SD Negeri 03 Kabawetan has gone quite well (2) Implementation has gone quite well through routine activities, programmed activities, and spontaneous activities (advising participants educate those who break the rules and provide direct examples, so they don't do it again). (3) Evaluation of the implementation of character values ​​is still lacking because no follow-up has been carried out on the school culture program on religious and independent character values.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of applying the Discover Learning learning model using power point on cognitive learning outcomes and science process skills in Class V. This type of research is quasi-experimental research or quasi-experimental. The design used in this study was a control group pre-testpost-test design. The subjects in this study were all fifth grade students at SD Negeri 2 Muara Kulam for the 2022/2023 academic year. Based on the results of the t-test, it was obtained that sig (2-tailed) = 0.047 < α = 0.05, then H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. So it can be concluded that there is an effect of learning using the discovery learning model with PowerPoint class V students at SD Negeri 2 Muara Kulam on learning outcomes. Likewise with the results of sig (2-tailed) = 0.050 < α = 0.05 then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is an effect of learning using the discovery learning model with powerpoint fifth grade students at SD Negeri 2 Muara Kulam on science process skills.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to describe the feasibility of discovery learning based student worksheets in science learning for fifth grade students, to find out student responses to discovery learning based student worksheets in science learning to improve cognitive learning outcomes and science process skills of fifth grade students, to determine the effectiveness of using sheets the work of students based on discovery learning in science learning to improve cognitive learning outcomes and science process skills of class V students. This type of research uses Research and Development (R&D) a process to develop new products or improve existing products so that they can be accounted for. the application of an R & D approach with the method ADDIE. The integration of the discovery learning model in the worksheet elements of students has paid attention to the limitations of students' rational thinking abilities, especially elementary school age students. to help improve cognitive learning outcomes and science process skills using discovery learning models. The questions used were cognitive questions and science process skills questions used for assessment. The difficulty of developing student worksheets based on discovery learning in science learning is at the design stage, especially choosing striking colors on the background and choosing good pictures. With further research, it is necessary to prepare pictures that will be used to support student worksheets.
