Abstract

This study aims to study the effect of the RME approach on conceptual understanding and problem-solving abilities in class IV MI Plus flats at Nur Rahma Bengkulu City. This research is a quantitative research with experimental method. The sample in this study were MI Plus Nur Rahma students from Bengkulu City, totaling 24 students in class IV Darussalam as the control class, and 24 students in class IV Naim as the experimental class. The instruments used in this research were concept comprehension test questions and problem solving ability test questions in the form of essay questions through the pretest and posttest. The data analysis technique in this study was expert validation analysis using Aiken's V, as well as quantitative analysis using the t-test. From the research results it is known that the results of material, construction and language validation are feasible to use in research. Based on the results of hypothesis 1 t test, the value of sig. (2-tailed) 0.00 is smaller than the significant level (α) 0.05, then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted so that it can be interpreted that there is an effect of the RME approach on the ability to understand mathematical concepts of class IV MI Plus Nur Rahma Bengkulu City. While the t test hypothesis 2 sig. (2-tailed) 0.02 smaller than the significant level (α) 0.05 then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Based on the test, the N-gain score from the application of the RME approach is higher than the conventional approach, so it can be interpreted that there is an influence of the RME approach on the problem solving ability of MI Plus Nur Rahma, Bengkulu City.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility of the material, language, design, teacher and student responses, as well as the effectiveness of the product resulting from the development of an RME-based e-module using the "Prince Duayu" house to improve problem solving skills for grade IV SD. This research is an ADDIE Research and Development (R&D) model. The subjects were students of SDN 4 Bengkulu Selatan, The instruments used were interview guides, questionnaires, and problem-solving ability tests in the form of essay questions through the pretest and posttest.. The data analysis technique in this study was validation analysis using Aiken's V and Interrater Reliability, teacher and student responses, as well as quantitative analysis using the T-test. The results of validating material, language, design, as well as teacher and student responses to e-modules are very appropriate and well used in learning so that students are happy and interested in learning mathematics in flat shape material. The results of the effectiveness of the e-module are effective in solving students' mathematical problems. Judging from the results of the significance value, which is 0.01, it is smaller than α = 0.05. Based on the gain-score test from the use of the e-module, it gives a moderate gain score of 47%. Thus, the mathematical problem-solving abilities of students who use e-modules based on the RME model using the "Prince Duayu" house are higher than students who only use textbooks from school so that they are declared effective.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of science learning with a scientific approach using interactive PowerPoint media on the critical thinking skills of fourth grade students.This research is a quantitative research. The method used is Quasi Experimental Design (pseudo-experimental research). Quasi Experimental Designaims to determine the differences between two variables or more groups that are the subject of research, because the sample is not randomly selected but has been formed in the form of classes. Therefore, the research sample was divided into two groups, namely the experimental class and the control class. As an experimental class in this study were 20 grade IV students at SDN 2 Sungai Pinang and as a control class were 20 grade IV students at SDN 1 Sungai Pinang. Data collection technique is done by test pretest andposttest. The instrument given was essay questions consisting of 10 questions, consisting of 5 questions on the induction aspect and 5 questions on the deduction aspect. The results of this study indicate that the average value of the induction aspect variable between the experimental class and the control class has an increase difference of 44.00%. While the average value of the deduction aspect variable has an increase difference of 39.40%. So it can be concluded that there is a significant effectscience learning with a scientific approach using interactive powerpoint media.to critical thinking skills of grade IV students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop, describe the level of feasibility, determine user responses and determine the effectiveness of social environment-based diorama media to improve student learning outcomes. The type of research used is research and development (Research and development). The research model in the development of 4 dimensions. The types of data used are quantitative and qualitative data with instruments: interviews, needs analysis questionnaires, questions, expert validation sheets and user response questionnaires. Based on the results of the study it was concluded that the teaching materials developed were suitable for use as teaching materials in learning Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKN) class IV let's love the environment. Expert validation was carried out for aspects of design feasibility, materials and media. Percentage of validation results of design aspects (83%), materials (71%) and media (90%). Based on the results of the questionnaire, student responses to PPKN teaching materials with the material let's love the environment in the very good category. Environment-based diorama teaching media to improve student learning outcomes in class IV SD Negeri 27 Lubuklinggau based on effect size (1.507) with a very effective category for improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using the problem based learning (PBL) model in Civics thematic learning on the cognitive and affective learning outcomes of class VI students at SD N 33 Rejang Lebong. This research uses quantitative research methods. The analysis technique used is analysis prerequisite test which includes normality, homogeneity test, variance, and hypothesis testing using the t test. The sample of this research was 25 students with a population of 41 students. Data collection is in the form of objective tests with multiple choices and questionnaires. Data from the inferential analysis of paired samples T-Test with the help of SPSS. The results of the study showed that the pretest average value was 56% and the posttest was 82%, so that it increased by 26%, while the control class using conventional learning obtained an average pretest value of 54% and posttest by 63%, so that the increase was 9%. So it can be concluded that the use of the Problem Based Learning model has an effect on the cognitive and affective learning outcomes of class VI students at SDN 147 Rejang Lebong.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the effect of science learning with cooperative type model Group Investigation assisted by Student Worksheets on understanding concepts and science process skills in fifth grade students. This research is a quantitative research. The method used is Quasi Experimental Design (pseudo-experimental research). The research design used is Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research samples were 25 students in class V at SDN Trans Pendingan as an experimental class and 24 students in class V at SDN Anyar as a control class. The data collection technique is done by testing pretest and posttest. The instruments given were 20 questions consisting of aspects of understanding concepts totaling 15 multiple choice questions and aspects of science process skills totaling 5 Essay questions. The results showed that the average value of the concept understanding variable between the experimental class and the control class had an increase difference of 20.72%. While the average value of the science process skills variable has an increase difference of 4.63%. So it can be concluded that there is a significant influence on science learning with the type cooperative model Group Investigation assisted by Student Worksheets on understanding concepts and science process skills in fifth grade students.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of the Discovery Learning (DL) model assisted by Interactive Multimedia on students' higher-order thinking skills in the topic of Puberty for sixth-grade students. This research is quantitative in nature, which means it utilizes numerical data collection and analyzes it using statistics, data interpretation, and presentation of research findings to determine the relationship between two variables. The results of the study indicate a significant improvement in students' higher-order thinking skills when using the DL model assisted by media. Hypothesis testing shows a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores in both groups, with an increase of approximately 46% in the moderate category for the ability to identify problems. The mean scores of students' pretest and posttest higher-order thinking skills increased from 53.35 to 74.95. Although there was an improvement, students' higher-order thinking skills still fall into the moderate category. This study concludes that the implementation of the DL model assisted by media has a significant impact on students' higher-order thinking skills; however, more practice and experimentation are needed to enhance these abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to Produce Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) oriented worksheets to improve the high-level thinking skills of grade IV elementary school students. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D). The research subjects were fourth grade students at SD Negeri Kuto Tanjung. The feasibility of POE-oriented LKPD is based on the validation results that have been carried out by experts on the material, media and language aspects of predict-observe-explain (POE) oriented LKPD. In the material aspect, it is declared very feasible at 0.86. In the media aspect, it is declared very feasible at 0.85. In the language aspect, it is declared very feasible at 0.86. So that the predict-observe-explain (POE) oriented LKPD on the source material is feasible for use in learning activities. Based on the results of the student response questionnaire to the predict-observe-explain (POE) oriented LKPD on energy sources material that was given to fourth grade students at SD Negeri Kuto Tanjung, the results obtained were 77.24% in the very good category. Predict-observe-explain (POE) oriented worksheets can improve students' higher- order thinking skills indicated by a standard gain value of 0.31 in the medium category.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) Produce POE-based science learning modules to improve students' understanding of concepts and science process skills in class V. (2) Describe the feasibility of POE-based science learning modules developed for fifth grade students. (3) Know the increase in students' conceptual understanding class V on heat and displacement material after using the POE-based science learning module. (4) Knowing the increase in science process skills of class V students after using POE-based science learning modules. This type of research is a Research and Development (R&D) development procedure that will be carried out referring to the ADDIE model research and development procedure. The research subjects were fifth grade students of SD Negeri Napallicin. Based on the results of the analysis of the feasibility assessment of the module by experts on the POE-based science learning module, linguists gave an average rating of 0.85, material experts gave an average rating of 0.88 and media experts rated it with an average of 0. 87. From the overall expert assessment, an average score of 0.87 is categorized as quite high or can be said to be valid and can be tried out with several revisions according to suggestions and input from experts. Based on the independent test table on the equal variances assumed section, it is known that the significance value is 0.023 <0.05. This indicates that the use of POE-based science learning modules has an effect on students' understanding of concepts. The significance value of the results of the science processing skills test was obtained 0.025 <0.05. This indicates that the use of POE-based science learning modules has an effect on students' science process skills.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the Quantum teaching  model on the learning outcomes of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects of students in PPKn learning on Socio-Cultural Diversity material.  The sample in the study was 43 students of Class VA (experimental class) and VB (control class). The method used in this study is quasi-experimental research. The research instrument uses a written test, attitude scale questionnaire, and practice/performance assessment rubric. The results of this study show that: 1) there is an influence of the implementation of the quantum teaching  learning model in PPKn Learning on the learning outcomes of cognitive aspects of fifth grade students, 2) there is an influence of the implementation of the quantum teaching  learning model in PPKn learning on the learning outcomes of affective aspects of fifth grade students, 3) there is an influence of the implementation of the quantum teaching  learning model in PPKn learning on the learning outcomes of psychomotor aspects of fifth grade students. The implementation of the quantum teaching  model can affect the learning outcomes of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects in PPKn learning.
