Abstract

Background. The purpose this research objective was to assess the use of safflower oil and inositol on feed consumption and body weight gain in male Sentul chickens. Materials and Methods. The research material used in this study was 81 male Sentul gray chickens aged 4 weeks, which were kept for 8 weeks. The materials used as treatment were safflower oil (Carthamus tinctorius L) and inositol. The ration is composed of several feed ingredients for corn, bran, fish meal, soybean meal, palm oil, lysine, CaCO3, methionin and topmix. The materials used as treatment were safflower oil and inositol. The method used was experimental with completely randomized design (CRD), which consisted of 9 treatments with 3 replications, each replication consisting of 4 male sentul chickens. The treatments consisted of: R0 = basal feed (0% safflower oil and 0% inositol), R1 = basalt feed + 0.5% safflower oil, R2 = basalt feed + 1% safflower oil, R3 = basalt feed + 0.5 inositol %, R4 = basal feed + 1% inositol, R5 = basal feed + 0.5% safflower oil and 0.5% inositol, R6 = basal feed + 0.5% safflower oil and 1% inositol, R7 = basal feed + 1% safflower oil and 1% inositol, R8 = basal feed + 1% safflower oil and 1% inositol. Results. The results showed that the use of safflower oil and inositol had no significant effect (P> 0.05) on feed consumption and body weight gain in male Sentul Chicken. The average feed consumption of male sentul hens ranged from 3,175,942 ± 322,008 to 3,520,930 ± 69,056 grams / chicken / 8 weeks. The average body weight gain of male sentul hens ranged from 391.67 ± 1.768 to 556.67 ± 0.262 g /chicken / 8 weeks. The addition of safflower oil (Carthamus tinctorius L) and inositol as much as 0,5%- 1% did not increase feed consumption and significantly increased body weight for male Sentul seizures.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Research aimed to examine the effect of giving Complete Rumen Modifier on the intake and digestibility of Crude Protein (CP) feed of Bali bulls. The material used is 3 male Balinese cows, the feed given consists of concentrate 2% of the cow's body weight and voluntary feed intake hay. The concentrate is composed of onggok 38,58%, rice bran 14,29%, coconut cake 13,14%, palm cake 10%, pollard 9,43%, molasses 4,86%, coffee husk 4,8%, dolomite 1,43%, aminosine 1,2%, salt 0,86%, urea 0,86%, zeolite 0,57%, and minerals 0,28%. The composition of CRM consists of noni leaf flour 30%, cassava vine leaf meal 30%, dry tea pulp 30%, Saccharomyches cerevisiae 3%, methionin 2%, urea 1% and sulfur 4%. The research used the experimental method of Latin Square Design, there were three treatments tested, namely P0 (concentrate 2% body weight cow and straw voluntary feed intake), P1 (P0 + CRM 0.5% from Dry Matter concentrate), and P2 (P0 + CRM 1% from concentrate). The variables measured are intake and Digestibility of crude protein, the data obtained were tested using analysis of variance and differences in treatment with the Orthogonal Polynomial test. The results of the analysis of variance showed that the treated feed given CRM had no significant effect (P>0.05) on PK digestibility. Meanwhile, PK consumption had a significant effect (P<0.05) on feed treated with P1 and P2 compared to P0. The conclusion obtained from this study is that the provision of CRM can increase consumption of PK while the digestibility of PK decreases when given CRM.

Abstract

The study aims to examine the effect of concentrate replacement using tempeh dregs and Complete Rumen Modifier (CRM) supplementation on the consumption and digestibility of crude protein in sheep feed. The study used 18 local male sheep aged 7-8 months with an average weight of 20±2.34 kg. This study used a Randomized Group (RAK) design and used a type of experimental research, as a group as well as a repeat of the initial body weight of sheep after the adaptation period as many as 6 groups and 3 treatments, including P1: Ammoniated rice straw ad libitum + concentrate 2.5% DM of body weight (control), P2: Ammoniated rice straw ad libitum + tempeh dregs 2.5% DM of body weight, and P3: Ammoniated rice straw ad libitum + tempeh dregs 2.5% DM of body weight + 1% CRM. The variables observed in the study were consumption and digestibility of crude protein. Based on the results of the analysis of treatment variance, the effect was very real (P<0.01) on crude protein consumption with an average consumption of P1, P2, P3 treatments, respectively 10.26±0.05; 14.35±0.78; 14.02±0.88 (g/head/d) and a significant effect (P<0.005) on digestibility with crude protein digestibility rate of P1, P2, P3 treatment respectively at 59.44±3.65%; 67.85±3.44%; 63.56±4.83%. Based on orthogonal contrast tests, tempeh dregs can replace concentrate feed entirely and even increase crude protein consumption and digestibility by 3.90% and 3.93% respectively without 1% CRM supplementation. Abstract

The research with the title “The Effect of Nitrogen Dose From Different Types of Inorganic Fertilizers on the Leaf Area and Leaf Color of Setaria Grass (Setaria sphacelata)” was carried out at Limpakuwus Village, Sumbang District, Banyumas Regency and observations have been carried out at the Agrostology Laboratory, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Jenderal Soedirman University. The purpose of this research was to looking for the best inorganic fertilizer which was mixed with basic fertilizer from dairy cow feces on leaf area and leaf color of Setaria grass (Setaria sphacelata). The research materials used were Setaria grass, organic fertilizer from dairy cow feces and inorganic fertilizers (Urea, ZA and NPK). The research method used was Completely Randomized Design (RAL). The dose of inorganic fertilizer given refers to the nitrogen content of urea, which is 100 kg/ha/defoliation, 200 kg/ha/defoliation, and 300 kg/ha/defoliation, then each application is mixed with organic fertilizer of 2 kg/m2/defoliation dairy cow feces or 3 kg/1,5m2/defoliation. The results of the analysis of variance (ANOVA) showed that the effect of nitrogen levels from different types of inorganic fertilizers mixed with organic fertilizer from dairy cow feces showed no significant effect on leaf area and leaf color of Setaria grass (Setaria sphacelata). The inorganic fertilizer type Zwavelzure Ammonium (ZA) with a dose of 200 produced the highest average on the leaf area of ​​53,05 cm2. The inorganic fertilizer type Urea with a dose of 100 produced the highest average of leaf color which is 43,74. The conclusion obtained was that the application of nitrogen levels in dose of 100, 200 and 300 from the inorganic fertilizer Urea, ZA and NPK mixed with organic fertilizer from dairy cow feces produced the same leaf area and leaf color.

Abstract

ARUM PIDIE RIDHASMARA. The aim of the study was to examine the effect of different forage and concentrate balances on crude fat digestibility and BETN in vitro. Experimental research using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 treatments and 6 replicates. The treatments consisted of P1: 30% forage + 70% concentrate + 0.01 organic chromium; P2: 50% forage + 50% concentrate + 0.01 organic chromium; P3: 70% forage + 30% concentrate + 0.01 organic chromium. The results of the analysis showed that the digestibility of crude fat in P1 (30% forage and 70% concentrate) with P2 (50% forage and 50% concentrate) was not significantly different compared to P3 (70% forage and 30% concentrate) but P1 with P3 showed a significant difference (P <0.05). The analysis showed that BETN digestibility in P1 (30% forage and 70% concentrate) with P2 (50% forage and 50% concentrate) showed no significant difference. P2 with P3 (70% forage and 30% concentrate) showed a significant difference (P<0.01), while P1 with P3 showed a very significant difference (P<0.01). In conclusion, the test results proved that every decrease, the digestibility value of crude fat will increase and the BETN digestibility value of material will be smaller

Abstract

NURHALIMAH, Analisis Trend Populasi dan Pemetaan Wilayah Basis Pengembangan Ternak Kerbau di Kabupaten Brebes. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada tanggal 3 desember 2022 sampai 13 Juli 2023 di Kabupaten Brebes, Provinsi Jawa Tengah, dengan tujuan mengetahui dan menganalisis trend populasi ternak kerbau di Kabupaten Brebes selama 10 tahun terakhir dan mengetahui basis pengembangan ternak kerbau di Kabupaten Brebes. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode survey dengan menggunakan data sekunder sebagai data utama. Data pendukung dapat menggunakan data primer dengan metode purposive sampling yaitu berdasarkan wilayah yang mempunyai indeks LQ>1. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis deskriptif, analisis regresi linier sederhana dan indeks LQ. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pada tahun 2022 populasi ternak kerbau di Kabupaten Brebes mencapai 6.553 ekor dan populasi ternak ruminansia sebanyak 227.293 ekor. Hasil analisis trend dapat menghasilkan persamaan regresi Y=7964,3-79,933x. Hasil tersebut menunjukan bahwa populasi ternak kerbau dari tahun 2013 sampai dengan 2022 menunjukan trend yang negatif atau mengalami penurunan 80 ekor untuk setiap tahunnya. Kecamatan yang merupakan wilayah basis pengembangan ternak kerbau dengan kriteria LQ>1 antara lain Kecamatan Salem, Bantarkawung, Tonjong, Larangan, dan Songgom.

Abstract

Latar Belakang. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui besarnya investasi, biaya operasional, dan penerimaan usaha kelinci. Menganalisis ekonomi usaha kelinci dilihat dari pendapatan dan efisiensi biaya. Mengetahui pengaruh variabel independent seperti pendidikan peternak (X1), umur peternak (X2), lama beternak (X3), dan jumlah kepemilikan ternak (X4) terhadap variabel dependent yaitu pendapatan (Y1) dan efisiensi biaya (Y2). Materi dan Metode. Sasaran penelitian merupakan peternak dan usaha kelinci di Kecamatan Pekuncen, Kabupaten Banyumas. Lokasi penelitian dipilih menggunakan Purposive Sampling. Penentuan responden dilakukan secara Quota Sampling dan terpilih sebanyak 30 peternak. Data yang diambil merupakan data satu tahun terakhir. Data primer diperoleh dengan melakukan wawancara terhadap peternak menggunakan daftar pertanyaan, sedangkan data sekuunder diperoleh dari Badan Pusat Statistik Kabupaten Banyumas. Analisis koefisien determinasi menunjukan pengaruh variabel independent (X) terhadap pendapatan (Y1) dan efisiensi biaya (Y2) masing-masing sebesar 0,973 (97,3%) dan 0.981 (98,1%). Hasil. Hasil uji F variabel independent (X) berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap pendapatan dan efisiensi biaya. Hasil uji t terhadap pendapatan (Y1) dan efisiensi biaya (Y2) dipengaruhi oleh umur peternak (X2) dan jumlah kepemilikan ternak (X4). Simpulan. Persamaan regresi linier berganda secara sistematis diperoleh pendapatan (Y1) = -4925761.523 - 51205.770X1 + 58725.706X2 -11083.680X3 +239011.255X2 + 442005.102 dan efisiensi biaya (Y2) = 0.047 - 0.008X1 + 0.008X2 -0.003X3 + 0.051X4 + 0.079.

Abstract

Pakan berbasis indeks sinkronisasi protein-energi (SPE) merupakan pakan yang disusun dengan memperhatikan kebutuhan mikroba rumen khususnya pada suplai energi dan N-protein, sehingga kinerja mikroba dalam rumen dapat meningkat dalam proses fermentasi pakan. Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ialah untuk mengkaji pengaruh indeks Sinkronisasi Protein Energi akan terhadap kecernaan bahan kering dan kecernaan bahan organik secara in-vitro. Penelitian dilaksanakan menggunakan metode ekperimental secara In-vitro. Materi penelitian yang digunakan adalah cairan rumen 3 ekor Kambing Jawarandu yang diambil dari rumah potong hewan (RPH) Sokaraja, Purwokerto, segera setelah kambing dipotong. Bahan pakan yang digunakan terdiri dari rumput odot, indigofera, bungkil kelapa, onggok, dedak, ampas tahu, dan mineral mix. Perlakuan yang digunakan adalah pakan dengan indeks SPE P1 (0,55), P2 (0,60), P3 (0,65), P4 (0,70), P5 (0,75). Penelitian dilaksanakan secara eksperimental dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Variabel yang diukur yaitu Kecernaan Bahan Kering (KcBK) dan Kecernaan Bahan Organik (KcBO). Penelitian diuji dengan analisis variansi dan orthogonal polinomial (OP). Nilai KcBK yang didapatkan secara berurut yaitu, P1: 64,76% ± 1,95; P2: 68,17% ± 1,49; P3: 71,49% ± 1,09; P4: 69,99% ± 1,08; dan P5: 69,69% ± 2,65. Nilai KcBO secara berurut yaitu, P1: 68,62% ± 3,65; P2: 74,48% ± 0,79; P3: 80,38% ± 2,02; P4: 78,49% ± 3,39; P5: 76,16% ± 5,47. Berdasarkan hasil analisis variansi, indeks SPE berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap kecernaan bahan kering (KcBK) dan kecernaan bahan organik (KcBO) secara in-vitro. Berdasarkan uji lanjut OP indeks SPE pakan berpengaruh secara kuadratik terhadap KcBK dengan persamaan Y=-92,338 + 477,94X - 349,71X2, R2:0,58, perhitungan titik puncak P (0,683;70,95%) artinya indeks SPE yang optimum sebesar 0,683 akan menghasilkan kecernaan bahan kering sebesar 70,95%. Hasil yang sama juga pada KcBO dengan persamaan Y= 237,54 + 936,06X -690,7X2, R2:0,55, perhitungan titik puncak P (0,667;79,6%) artinya indeks SPE yang optimum sebesar 0,667 akan menghasilkan kecernaan bahan organik sebesar 79,6%. Kecernaan bahan kering dan kecernaan bahan organik secara in-vitro yang terbaik terdapat pada pakan dengan indeks SPE 0,68.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui level nitrogen yang berbeda dari jenis pupuk anorganik terhadap luas daun dan warna daun Rumput Odot (Pennisetum purpureum Cv. Mott). Materi penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rumput Odot, pupuk organik feses sapi perah dan pupuk anorganik yaitu urea, NPK (Nitrogen Fosfor Kalium) dan ZA (Zwavelzure Amonium). Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Pemberian level pupuk anorganik berbasis pada kandungan nitrogen urea yaitu 100 kg/defoliasi/ha, 200 kg/defoliasi/ha, dan 300 kg/defoliasi/ha dan cara pemberiannya masing-masing dicampur dengan 3 kg pupuk organik feses sapi perah. Hasil analisis variansi menunjukkan bahwa pemberian berbagai pupuk anorganik tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap warna daun dan luas daun Rumput Odot (Pennisetum purpureum Cv. Mott). Perlakuan yang memperoleh hasil rataan tertinggi terhadap luas daun Rumput Odot adalah pemberian pupuk anorganik jenis Amonium Sulfat atau ZA yaitu sebesar 71,85 /petak. Kesimpulan penelitian yaitu Pemberian pupuk ZA sebanyak 99 g/1,5 /defoliasi atau 657,14 kg/ha/ defoliasi cenderung meningkatkan luas daun dan warna daun Rumput Odot (Pennisetum purpureum Cv. Mott).

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah: 1). Mengetahui nilai performa produksi dan harga ayam niaga pedaging di Kabupaten Banyumas dan; 2). Mengkaji dampak pandemi terhadap performa produksi dan harga ayam niaga pedaging di Kabupaten Banyumas. Metode pengambilan sampel dilaksanakan menggunakan metode survey di wilayah Kabupaten Banyumas. Penentuan sampel wilayah menggunakan metode Stratified Random Sampling dengan total 80 peternak ayam niaga pedaging di daerah Kabupaten Banyumas yang terdiri dari data sebelum pandemi sejumlah 40 sampel dan data pasca pandemi sejumlah 40 sampel. Performa produksi dianalisis dengan menghitung mortalitas rata-rata bobot badan akhir, Feed Convertion Ratio (FCR), dan indeks performa (IP) sedangkan untuk harga ayam niaga pedaging didapatkan dari recording peternak atau informasi dari mitra terkait. Dampak pandemi Covid-19 terhadap performa produksi dan harga ayam niaga pedaging dianalisis menggunakan uji t. Hasil penelitian ini adalah: 1). Mortalitas pada masa sebelum pandemi Covid-19 sebesar 5,94, sedangkan pada pasca pandemi Covid-19 sebesar 3,80. Bobot badan akhir pada masa sebelum pandemi Covid-19 sebesar 2053 gram sedangkan pada pasca pandemi Covid-19 sebesar 2202 gram. FCR pada masa sebelum pandemi Covid-19 sebesar 1,61% sedangkan pada pasca pandemi Covid-19 sebesar 1,52%. IP pada masa sebelum pandemi Covid-19 sebesar 340 sedangkan pada pasca pandemi Covid-19 sebesar 391. Harga ayam niaga pedaging pada masa sebelum pandemi Covid-19 sebesar Rp 17.823 sedangkan pada pasca pandemi Covid-19 sebesar Rp 20.157; 2). Terdapat perbedaan adanya pandemi Covid-19 terhadap performa produksi akibat adanya pandemi Covid-19. Nilai mortalitas dan FCR ayam niaga pedaging lebih rendah dibandingkan sebelum pandemi sedangkan nilai IP, bobot badan akhir dan harga ayam niaga pedaging mengalami kenaikan setelah pandemi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut terdapat perbedaan adanya pandemi Covid-19 terhadap mortalitas, FCR, IP, bobot badan akhir dan harga ayam niaga pedaging. Hasil penelitian ini juga memberikan gambaran tentang dampak pandemi Covid-19 terhadap usaha peternakan ayam niaga pedaging dapat menjadi bahan pertimbangan bagi pengambil kebijakan dan peternak ayam niaga pedaging di Kabupaten Banyumas.
