Abstract

Technology-based learning innovations and sustainability principles are now a necessity in improving the quality of education. One of the innovative approaches is the development of Virtual Reality (VR) tools from used goods as a learning medium for building spaces. This study aims to measure the level of students' creativity in making VR tools from used items and evaluate their impact on students' engagement and perception of creativity. The method used is quantitative descriptive. The sample consisted of 48 grade VIII students at SMP Darul Ihsan Muh Sragen who were selected purposively, and research instruments in the form of creativity questionnaires and work assessment rubrics based on Torrance indicators. The data was analyzed statistically descriptively to find out the average, percentage, and standard deviation of each creativity indicator. The results showed that the average score of students' creativity reached 3 out of a maximum score of 4, with aspects of flexibility and functionality prominent. In conclusion, students showed a fairly high level of creativity in utilizing used items as VR tools, although the elaboration aspect can still be improved. This research contributes to providing an alternative learning media that is cheap, environmentally friendly, and able to encourage 21st century skills such as creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving.

Abstract

Increasingly fierce industrial competition requires companies to improve the efficiency and productivity of their production processes. PT Vitapharm Surabaya faces the problem of workload imbalance in the Manual-A production line, especially in the facial serum packaging process which has an impact on low production efficiency and non-achievement of daily output targets. This study aims to analyze and improve line balancing using two approaches, namely the Ranked Positional Weight (RPW) and Region Approach (RA) methods. The data collected includes work cycle time, adjustment factors, and allowances for each work element. After the application of RPW and RA methods, there was an increase in line efficiency from 61.10% (actual condition) to 80.56% (RPW) and 84.72% (RA), a decrease in balance delay from 38.90% to 19.44% (RPW) and 15.28% (RA), and a significant reduction in idle time. The results showed that both methods were able to improve the balance of the production line, with the Region Approach method providing slightly more optimal results. This research can be used as a basis for continuous improvement in the cosmetics production line of PT Vitapharm.

Abstract

DKI Jakarta, as a national economic center, has potential off-street parking markings. Still, in managing parking taxes with an online system, the output is less than optimal in achieving the objectives of implementing parking tax policies. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of parking tax management in DKI Jakarta in 2022-2024. The method used is descriptive analysis with a post-positivist paradigm based on secondary data. The results of the study show that the realization of parking tax revenues against the set target has a very effective ratio, but the role of parking taxes is very poor in contributing to regional taxes, which indicates that the implementation of parking tax collection with an online system is less efficient. The output achieved has an increasing potential loss seen in 2024 higher than in 2023. The implementation of the parking tax policy applied through an online system is recommended to be evaluated by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Revenue Agency regarding the examination of parking tax objects and tax collection from tax payers that are less than optimal.

Abstract

This study examines the role of digital technologies in enhancing the competitiveness of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the digital era using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The findings highlight that digital transformation enables SMEs to accelerate innovation, expand collaboration networks, and improve operational efficiency. The adoption of technologies such as blockchain, e-commerce, and digital payment systems have positively impacted SMEs by increasing transparency, expanding market reach, and optimizing supply chains. However, challenges such as limited financial resources, lack of digital skills, and weak corporate governance hinder effective technology adoption. Government policies, collaboration with research institutions, and tailored digital strategies are essential to overcome these barriers. The study emphasizes the need for adaptive strategies to integrate Industry 4.0 technologies and sustain SME growth.

Abstract

The learning media used by most teachers in schools are power point and whiteboard media. However, these media do not significantly influence students' learning motivation, leading to a decrease in their critical thinking skills. In contrast, the independent curriculum requires students to fulfill the learning objectives for critical thinking. Dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi laju reaksi, penelitian ini mencoba membuat media permainan Si Tole. This study uses a research and development model according to Borg and Gall. The data obtained were then analyzed for validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The validity analysis findings demonstrated that the Si Tole game medium met excellent standards for validity, 93% of the findings of the practicality analysis met the practical requirements and the effectiveness analysis's findings yielded a gain value of 0.8 with a high category. Abstract

Taxation policy plays a strategic role in supporting the education sector, especially in ensuring accessibility, governance efficiency, and equity of higher education. The application of Value Added Tax (VAT) on education services has undergone significant changes with the enactment of the Law on Harmonization of Tax Regulations (UU HPP), which changed the taxation scheme from exemption to tax exemption. This has an impact on the tax administration system at State Legal Entity Universities (PTN-BH), which are now required to issue tax invoices even though they do not pay VAT. In addition, the Income Tax (PPh) policy also plays a role in increasing the financial transparency of higher education institutions, especially in the implementation of the Article 21 Income Tax system that supports the principles of Good Corporate Governance (GCG). However, various challenges are still faced, including the uncertainty of tax regulations for PTN-BH, imbalances in tax incentive policies, and high administrative burdens for educational institutions. This study uses a literature review method to evaluate the impact of taxation policies on higher education, especially in the PTN-BH environment. The results of the study indicate that more adaptive tax policy reforms, more effective tax incentives, and a more transparent and efficient tax system are needed to support improving the quality of education in Indonesia. Therefore, optimizing tax policies for the education sector is a crucial step in creating a more inclusive and sustainable education system.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the effect of the discovery learning model on critical thinking skills and science learning outcomes regarding the concept of environmental change in fifth-grade students at Gugus 1, Mangarabombang District, Takalar Regency. This study employs a quantitative research design using a Quasi-Experimental Design with a Posttest Only Control Group Design. The population consists of 132 fifth-grade students, and the sample of 44 students was selected using purposive sampling. Data collection techniques involved tests and observations. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical methods. The results of the research indicate that the critical thinking skills and science learning outcomes are parametric data, which were tested using the Independent Samples Test, obtaining significance values of 0.000 0.05 and 0.039 0.05, respectively. Therefore, there is a partial effect of the discovery learning model on critical thinking skills and science learning outcomes in the environmental change concept for fifth-grade students at Gugus 1, Mangarabombang District, Takalar Regency. Additionally, the MANOVA test yielded a significance value of 0.000 0.05, rejecting H0 and accepting H1. This indicates that there is a simultaneous effect of the discovery learning model on critical thinking skills and science learning outcomes.
