Abstract

This research aims to analyze legal certainty in the implementation of standardization of the death penalty execution mechanism and examine the state's responsibility towards the psychological condition of death convicts during the waiting period for execution. The research method used is a normative juridical approach by analyzing laws and regulations, court decisions, and case studies related to implementing death penalty executions in Indonesia. The results showed that the absence of clear standardization in the mechanism of death penalty execution has the potential to cause legal uncertainty, both for law enforcement officials and for convicts. In addition, the prolonged waiting period for execution causes a significant psychological impact, which can be categorized as a form of psychological torture. The state has the responsibility to ensure the protection of the human rights of people sentenced to death, including by ensuring that the execution process is fair and does not unnecessarily prolong their psychological suffering. Therefore, firmer regulations are needed in standardizing the mechanism for carrying out death penalty executions to ensure legal certainty, as well as more humanist policies in handling the psychological conditions of death row inmates during the execution waiting period.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the use of diction, cohesion, and coherence in the text of President Jokowi's speech on the commemoration of World Anti-Corruption Day 2023 through the perspective of Norman Fairclough's Critical Discourse Analysis. Data collection was carried out using the Listen and Record technique. Then, the data was analyzed using the critical discourse analysis theory of the Norman Fairclough model which only focuses on the dimension of the text through the selection of diction, cohesion, and coherence in the speech text to understand the message about anti-corruption conveyed and its impact on public perception. The results of the analysis show that although the speech has a good structure and careful use of language, there are contradictions in the delivery that can cast doubt on the government's commitment to eradicating corruption. This study emphasizes the need for concrete actions that accompany speeches to achieve the goal of effective corruption eradication.

Abstract

Cybersecurity is vital in ensuring the sustainability of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in today’s digital landscape. While awareness of cybersecurity threats is rising, implementing effective mitigation measures among MSMEs remains relatively low. This study seeks to analyze the discrepancy between awareness and actual implementation of cybersecurity practices in MSMEs and investigate how management accounting approaches can help address these challenges. This study reviews pertinent academic literature and industry reports using narrative review and conceptual analysis methods. The findings reveal that the primary obstacles to implementing cybersecurity within MSMEs include limited financial resources, a shortage of information technology experts, and a low understanding of the long-term benefits of investing in digital security. To navigate these challenges, management accounting techniques such as cost-benefit analysis, cost control, and risk assessment can assist MSMEs in allocating their resources more efficiently to bolster cybersecurity. This research enhances the existing literature by bridging the fields of cybersecurity and management accounting and offering policy recommendations to improve MSMEs' digital readiness. Further research is necessary to empirically validate the proposed model and investigate the impact of regulation on enhancing cybersecurity in the MSME sector.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low quality of public senior high schools in Blora Regency, as indicated by the decline in educational report scores on literacy, numeracy, and character indicators, as well as suboptimal academic and non-academic achievements. The main factors influencing this issue include ineffective school principal leadership, the suboptimal role of the school committee, and low teacher pedagogical competence. This research employed a quantitative approach, with a population comprising all public senior high school teachers in Blora Regency and a sample of 206 teachers. Data were collected using closed-ended questionnaires and analyzed through normality, linearity, homogeneity, and multicollinearity tests, followed by hypothesis testing using simple and multiple regression analyses. The findings indicate that school principal leadership affects school quality by 56.2% (correlation coefficient 0.749), the role of the school committee by 34.4% (correlation coefficient 0.587), and teacher pedagogical competence by 43.3% (correlation coefficient 0.658). Simultaneously, these three variables influence school quality by 61.1% (correlation coefficient 0.782). These results highlight the crucial role of school principals, school committees, and teachers in improving educational quality.

Abstract

This research began with the researcher's curiosity about the existence of a Quran quarantine program known as the daurah tahfidz program at Pondok Pesantren Muhammadiyah Kwala Madu Langkat. Through an intensive and structured approach, it is hoped that this program can facilitate students in achieving a memorization target of 5 juz effectively and sustainably. This research aims to understand how the implementation of the daurah tahfidz program improves the quality of Quran memorization among students at Pondok Pesantren Muhammadiyah Kwala Madu Langkat, which includes planning, execution, and supervision. The research method used in this study is qualitative research with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that before the implementation of the tahfidz program, the ustadz/ustadzah first made a plan. The planning of the daurah program was structured by the Muhammadiyah Kwala Madu Langkat Islamic Boarding School. The implementation of the tahfidz daurah program at the Muhammadiyah Kwala Madu Langkat Islamic boarding school can be considered successful and has improved the quality of Quran memorization as planned. The implementation of the tahfidz course program uses the tikrar method to memorize the Qur'an. Evaluation is conducted after returning to the pesantren by participating in a muraja’ah circle guided by a Ustadz/Ustadzah.

Abstract

This study is to determine the implementation of the Quran tahfidz program which has been carried out in accordance with the program at SMP 57 Muhammadiyah, Mustafa, Medan. The research data collection technique uses qualitative methods with technical observation, interviews and documentation. Analysis uses library research using literature in the form of books and is also in accordance with the results of the report notes in the research. In this research, a problem was found, namely that the implementation of the tahfidz program was less effective due to inadequate tahfidz hours, so that memorization was not done regularly. However, the results of the research show that the implementation of the tahfidz program at SMP 57 Muhammadiyah can increase students' religiosity well because it fosters awareness that a hafidz's soul must be good and also has an influence on students' religiosity which can be seen from the results of changes in the development of character and morals in students. So, with the implementation of the tahfidz Quran activity, it will grow and increase awareness in the human spirit of the importance of this tahfidz program in schools with the Koran, and the tahfidz activity can be a movement for evil and good deeds. In implementing tahfidz activities, targets and methods for memorizing are also needed, such as the importance of good focus in memorizing, etc., which will be studied as problematic in this research.
