Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh konsumsi mie instan terhadap kesehatan masyarakat dan dampaknya pada aspek sosial-ekonomi, terutama di negara berkembang. Mie instan, yang dikenal dengan kepraktisannya dan harga yang terjangkau, sering dikonsumsi sebagai makanan sehari-hari. Namun, konsumsi mie instan yang berlebihan dapat menyebabkan berbagai masalah kesehatan, seperti hipertensi, obesitas, gangguan metabolik, dan kekurangan gizi. Selain itu, konsumsi mie instan juga berhubungan dengan peningkatan beban ekonomi akibat meningkatnya kasus penyakit jantung, diabetes, dan hipertensi. Di sisi lain, konsumsi mie instan banyak ditemukan di kalangan populasi berpendapatan rendah, yang terbatas dalam akses terhadap makanan bergizi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi literatur untuk mengumpulkan data dari berbagai sumber terkait. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa meskipun mie instan memberikan solusi praktis bagi banyak orang, kebiasaan mengonsumsi mie instan secara berlebihan dapat memperburuk masalah kesehatan masyarakat, sehingga perlu adanya kesadaran tentang pola makan yang lebih sehat.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa kelas IX di SMP Negeri 7 Pematangsiantar untuk tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Fokus untuk mengevaluasi cara siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 7 Pematangsiantar menangani materi kesebangunan dan kekongruenan. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan analisis deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui serangkaian tes yang dirancang untuk mengukur kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa, serta melalui wawancara mendalam dengan 30 siswa dari kelas IX-1. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan, peneliti menarik beberapa kesimpulan: 1) Pada tahap pengenalan unsur yang diketahui dan dicari, siswa dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah tinggi, sedang, dan rendah dapat mengidentifikasi informasi yang relevan. 2) Siswa dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah tinggi dan sedang dapat merumuskan semua soal dengan akurat, sedangkan siswa dengan kemampuan rendah masih kesulitan dalam merumuskan masalah dengan benar. 3) Dalam penerapan strategi penyelesaian masalah, siswa dengan kemampuan tinggi dapat menerapkan strategi dengan baik, sementara siswa dengan kemampuan sedang dan rendah belum berhasil menerapkan strategi efektif. 4) Pada tahap verifikasi hasil, siswa dengan kemampuan tinggi dapat memeriksa hasil dari strategi yang digunakan, sementara siswa dengan kemampuan sedang dan rendah belum dapat mencapai jawaban yang benar.

Hasil observasi di SMA Swasta Kampus Nommensen Pematangsiantar menunjukkan bahwa guru belum memanfaatkan media pembelajaran secara optimal. Dari pengamatan di empat kelas X, hanya 39 siswa (36,44%) yang meraih nilai di atas KKM. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi kelayakan media pembelajaran berbasis permainan edukasi Kahoot pada materi Keanekaragaman Hayati, melibatkan empat validator ahli. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan pendekatan model ADDIE. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan media Kahoot memiliki persentase kelayakan rata-rata 91,75%, yang tergolong sangat layak. Respon siswa terhadap media ini juga positif, mencapai 91% dengan kategori sangat baik. Hasil belajar siswa menunjukkan nilai Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) 0,00 < 0,05, yang berarti hipotesis alternatif diterima dan hipotesis nol ditolak. Dengan demikian, penggunaan media Kahoot berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa kelas X di SMA Swasta Kampus Nommensen Pematangsiantar.

Hasil observasi di SMP Swasta Teladan Pematangsiantar menunjukkan bahwa guru belum menggunakan media pembelajaran secara optimal di dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas. Hal ini dibuktikan melalui pengamatan yang dilakukan di kelas VIII yang berjumlah 2 (dua) kelas. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan di lapangan diperoleh informasi bahwa yang mendapatkan nilai di atas KKM hanya 15 orang atau 64,28%. dari total keseluruhan siswa VIII. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui uji kelayakan media pembelajaran Game edukasi baamboozle pada materi sistem pencernaan kepada 4 (empat) validator ahli yaitu 2 (dua) dosen dan 2 (dua) guru mata pelajaran IPA. Selain itu bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon peserta didik terhadap media pembelajaran Game edukasi baamboozle dan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media pembelajaran Game edukasi baamboozle pada materi sistem pencernaan terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan pendekatan model 4D. Hasil uji kelayakan media pembelajaran Game edukasi baamboozle oleh validator ahli diperoleh hasil persentase rata-rata 91,75% dengan kategori sangat layak. Hasil analisis respon siswa menunjukkan respon positif sebesar 91% dengan kategori sangat baik. Dan hasil belajar peserta didik memperoleh nilai Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) 0,00 < 0,05. Maka, diperoleh bahwa Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak. Dalam hal ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media pembelajaran Game edukasi baamboozle berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas VIII di SMP Swasta Teladan Pematangsiantar.

This research investigates the use of Powtoon as a teaching media to enhance students' writing skills in descriptive text. The primary objective is to assess the impact of Powtoon on students' writing abilities. It is posited that Powtoon serves as a powerful tool for classroom engagement. The study employs a quasi-experimental design involving two classes: the experimental group utilizing Powtoon media and the control group relying on conventional teaching methods. The sample consisted of 50 students, with 25 in class VII-2 as the experimental group and 25 in class VII-3 as the control group. Data collection involved writing tests administered before (pre-test) and after (post-test) the intervention. The research utilized Brown’s writing assessment rubric, focusing on aspects such as identification and description. The findings revealed that the mean score for the experimental group increased from 41 in the pre-test to 77.8 in the post-test, while the control group showed a rise from 35.8 in the pre-test to 68.8 in the post-test. The t-test result was 2.52, indicating a significant improvement in the writing skills of students who used Powtoon media compared to those in the control group. These results support the hypothesis that Powtoon media significantly enhances writing skills among seventh-grade students at SMP Swasta Cinta Rakyat 3 Pematangsiantar. The research recommends that educators consider integrating digital platforms like Powtoon into language learning and suggests further exploration of its applications in educational settings.

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the Quizizz application on German reading skills in class XI students at Taman Siswa Private High School, Pematangsiantar. This research uses quantitative methods with a pre-experimental design and a One Group Pretest-Posttest research design for one experimental class. The research population was class XI IPA 1 Taman Siswa Pematangsiantar Private High School, consisting of 120 people. Based on simple purposive sampling technique. The sample in this research was 28 students from class XI IPA 1. The data collection technique is in the form of a test essay by carrying out the Pretest stage, treatment by applying the Quizizz application media and Posttest, so research data is produced. The research results showed that there was a significant increase in students' reading skills after implementing the Quizizz application, with an average Posttest score of 86.61 compared to an average Pretest score of 40.71. Statistical tests show that the Quizizz application is effective in improving reading skills, as evidenced by the results of the hypothesis test and the N-gain value of 78% which is included in the effective category. Then the Paired Sample T-Test hypothesis test shows significant results with a value of 35.652 < 0.381, so it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. In conclusion, the Quizizz application learning media is effective on the reading skills of class XI students at Taman Siswa Pematangsiantar Private High School.

This research was intended to find out types of translation shift in category shift according to J.Catford of students in translating recount text from English into Indonesia at SMP Swasta Ben's Group Buntu Bayu Hatonduhan. Therefore, the researcher formulated a question as the problem. As follows: “What are the translation shift used in translating recount text from English into Indonesian?" The researcher was used qualitative design. The researcher used grade eight students of SMP Swasta Ben's Group Buntu Bayu Hatonduhan as the population and used 25 students as the sample. The instrument of the research of this research was test recount text. The data were collected by analyzed the result of students’ translation and correction. The research finding showed that students were types of translation shift in translating recount text from English into Indonesia. From the results of students' translations in the first recount text, it was found that the highest number of types of translation shifts found in the results of students' translations was unit shifts of 135 data from 25 students. The second highest types of translation shifts were structure shifts of 75 data from 25 students. And the third highest was class shifts of 62 data from 25 students, and the last was intra-system shifts of 28 data from 25 students. Then from the results of students' translations in the second recount text, the first highest was class shifts of 153 data from 25 students, the second highest was structure shifts of 67 data from 25 students, the third highest was unit shifts of 55 data from 25 students, and the last was intra-system shifts of 26 data from 25 students. It can be concluded from both recount texts translated by students from English to Indonesian, that all contained types of translation shifts (category shifts), namely structure shifts, class shifts, unit shifts, and intra-system shifts.

This research aims to found out the students’ translation method of students’ used translating narrative text from English Into Indonesian.This research described the kinds of translation method that used by students at grade nine in SMP SWASTA Ben’s Group Buntu Bayu Hatonduhan in translating activity. This research used qualitative method to describe the result of analysis kinds students used translation method in translating narrative text. To collect the data, the researcher used the students document study as the instrument to get the result of translation toward given text to the students. Furthermore, the students translated the text based on their comprehension. The subject of this research was twenty students at grade nine in SMP SWASTA Ben’s Group Buntu Bayu Hatonduhan. The findings of this research showed that there are some methods that students’ used in translating process. They are Literal Translation, Faithful Translation, Adaptation translation, Free Translation, Idiomatic Translation, Communicative Translation. In fact, the students’ used one until four methods in translate text. From the result of research, the researcher found that the students used six kinds in translating narrative text. They are literal, faithful, adaptation, free, idiomatic and communicative translation. As a result, Communicative Translation kind was mostly used by the students’ and none of students’ translated the text by using word for word, and semantic translation.

This research discusses about type and factors of code-mixing. The purpose of this thesis to analyze the type of code-mixing that used in Debate ‘’Capres & Cawapres 2024’’ In Presidential Election, the code-mixing’s utterances into three types : Code mixing of Intra-sentential, Code mixing of Lexical-sentential and Change pronounciation, It also analyzes the factors/reason that motivated the candidate uttarances in two languages, Indonesia and English. This research used qualitative method to analyze the types and factors of code-mixing. The procedures of this research are: the data (the students’ conversation which arranged by two languages are classified into three types of code-mixing based on Hoffman (1991) theory. Then, the data analyze about the factors which motivated the candidate to code-mix their conversation in debate Capres & Cawapres 2024 In Presidential Election based on Hoffman (1991) theory. The result of this research, firstly the types of code-mixing, there were Code mixing of intra sentential from 38 words, Code mixing intra lexical 9 words and Change of pronounciaton 3 words. and the factors of Code mixing in Debate Capres & Cawapres 2024 In Presidential Election includes Talking particular topic 26 words. Secondly, the factors of code-mixing, there was The factors of Code mixing in Debate Capres & Cawapres 2024 In Presidential Election includes Talking particular topic 26 words (52%), Repetition used for clariffication 9 words (18%), Intention of clarifying the speech content for interlocutor 12 words (24%) and Interjection 3 words (6%).

English is one of the general subjects that must be taken by every student in Vocational High School. English learning for students must be based on a learning needs analysis in order to obtain the benefits of learning English according to their needs. The purpose of this study was to analyze the needs, deficiencies, and desires of students in the English for Computer course and English teaching for SMK students majoring in Computer in class 11 of SMK Negeri 1 Pematangsiantar. The method used in this study is qualitative. This study uses a needs analysis with a survey design. The instrument used in this study was a semi-closed questionnaire. a series of questionnaires were distributed to 34 respondents from the computer department. From the needs analysis, it was found that students need English to improve their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. The results of the study also showed that the purpose of students learning English is to compete in the world of work. The skills that are prioritized are speaking and reading skills with a focus on vocabulary related to computer science. In speaking skills activities, most students prefer to have a dialogue and then practice with friends.
