Abstract

Speaking is a critical skill in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learning, yet many learners face challenges in fluency, accuracy, vocabulary, and pronunciation. This study investigates the effectiveness of the "Guess Who/What" game in improving the speaking performance of junior high school EFL students, focusing on descriptive texts. Using a quasi-experimental design, pre-test and post-test scores from 32 students were analyzed quantitatively. Two trained raters assessed performance using a standardized rubric across four criteria. Inter-rater reliability was calculated with Cohen's Kappa (κ = 0.88 for the pre-test and κ = 0.92 for the post-test). Results indicated significant improvements in all criteria, with the greatest gains in vocabulary (+15.6 points). A paired-sample t-test confirmed the statistical significance of the improvement (t = 13.45, p < 0.001). The findings highlight the potential of interactive games to enhance EFL speaking performance and provide practical insights for classroom implementation.

Abstract

This research was aimed to find out the significant effect of using liveworksheet on students’ activeness and vocabulary mastery. This research was a quasi-experimental one group design pre-test and post-test group design. The participant of this research was 20 students. This study was conducted at Mts Masmur Pekanbaru. The findings of this research were; first, there was a significance effect of the students’ activeness by using live worksheet at grade eight of MTS Masmur Pekanbaru. It found that the value sig. (0.50 and .64) was higher than 0.05. Second, there was a significant effect of using liveworksheet on students’ vocabulary mastery in learning english. It was obtained that the value of (0.82 and .82) was higher than 0.05.  Also, the mean score in the pre test 77.80 and post-test was 84.05. By comparing the mean score above, it can be seen that the score was more higher increased to enhance the students’ vocabulary mastery. In addition, the use of liveworksheet was significantly effective at Moderate Effect category on the students’ activeness at grade eight of Mts Masmur Pekanbaru. The use media in learning vocabulary mastery which the English teacher usually 0.825 > 0.625. Last, it proved that both of the students’ activeness and vocabulary mastery were improved because the sig (2 -tailed) of the data is lower than 0.05. it means that there is a significant effect before and after on students’ activeness and vocabulary mastery by using Liveworksheet website.

Abstract

In order to create implementation of regional autonomy policies, especially in improving savings and loan cooperatives, of course we must empower micro, small and medium enterprises which are of particular concern in this use. With that, researchers are interested in knowing and explaining the role of the Pinang Mandiri Savings and Loans Cooperative in the development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in Teluk Pinang Village and to find out whether the cooperative applies Islamic economic principles or not. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods through observation, interviews and documentation. This research involved 6 resource persons, consisting of 6 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise entrepreneurs in Teluk Pinang Village. The results of this research are: 1). The role of the Pinang Mandiri savings and loan cooperative as a provider of business capital. Savings and Loans Cooperatives provide easy access to sources of financing for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises who often have difficulty getting loans from formal financial institutions such as banks. The loan process at Savings and Loans Cooperatives is usually simpler and more flexible. 2) The role of Savings and Loans Cooperatives can also reduce dependence on moneylenders. With the presence of Savings and Loans Cooperatives, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises do not need to depend on moneylenders who often charge high interest rates which are strictly prohibited in Islamic teachings. Pinang Mandiri Savings and Loans Cooperative offers friendlier and fairer interest rates.

Abstract

The political journey in Indonesia post-reform has often experienced fluctuations, with stagnation in political participation reflected in the decline in both the quality and quantity of voter participation, especially in general elections. Several regions still face high levels of abstention (golput), driven by dissatisfaction with the performance of political parties and figures, as well as the threat of negative practices such as vote-buying that influence voter decisions. To address these issues, efforts are needed to enhance public participation and enforce sanctions against money politics. The success of the elections also depends on the role of the media as a tool for monitoring and disseminating information that shapes public opinion, while educating the public about their rights and responsibilities as voters. This study aims to describe and analyze the role of the media in reporting on Bawaslu in accordance With Law No. 40 Of 1999 On The Press during the 2024 Simultaneous Elections, as well as the role of Bawaslu and the media in preventing the spread of hoaxes that undermine the integrity of the elections. Using a qualitative research method with a normative approach and Focus Group Discussions (FGD) with media and journalists, this study is expected to provide recommendations for improving the quality of news reporting and voter education to ensure democratic, fair, and transparent elections.

Abstract

This study analyzes the impact of money supply on economic growth with investment as an intervening variable in North Sumatra during the 2010-2023 period. Using path analysis and secondary data from BPS and Bank Indonesia, the results show that money supply significantly affects economic growth (probability 0.0004) and investment (t-statistic 5.701674; probability 0.0001). Investment also significantly influences economic growth (probability 0.0385) and mediates the relationship between money supply and economic growth (Sobel test, 2.1726; probability 0.0298). The coefficient of determination indicates that 94.4% of the variation in economic growth is explained by money supply and investment. These findings support Keynesian and Harrod-Domar theories on the importance of liquidity and investment. The study recommends integrated monetary and investment policies to support sustainable economic growth in North Sumatra.

Abstract

According to information cited on Monday, October 26, 2020, from the Worldometers website, there are presently 43.3 million Covid-19 instances worldwide. Of that total, 31.8 million individuals have been deemed cured, while over 1.1 million people have died. Currently, there are 10.2 million active cases, of whom 10.1 million are in moderate condition and 77,726 are in acute or critical condition. With almost 8 million cases, the United States (US) continues to record the highest overall number of cases. various negative impacts can arise on individual organizations and the goals to be achieved When management functions are not implemented properly, there are no clear goals in the organization, making decisions without a strong basis has the potential to cause fatal mistakes, Health management is the main key to improving the efficiency and quality of services in the health sector. This research examines the application of knowledge management and technology in health management, and its impact on the management of health services in various fields, including hospitals, primary care, and the industrial sector. Based on 25 journals reviewed, the research identified that knowledge management and advanced technologies such as telemedicine, blockchain, and prognostic systems play an important role in improving the quality of healthcare. In addition, the study also highlighted the challenges faced in the implementation of health management, such as gaps in knowledge, culture, and adequate infrastructure, as well as the influence of external factors such as the COVID-19 pandemic. The results show that while outcome-based management technologies and models have proven to be effective, challenges in implementation remain barriers that need to be overcome. Therefore, the development of more adaptive and technology-based management models is crucial to improve the efficiency and sustainability of the health system.

Abstract

In Indonesia, especially among people who actively use technology, including academics, the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) has developed significantly to assist digital transactions. Using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) framework, this study aims to study the factors that influence the use of QRIS among academics. The two main variables prioritized by TAM are perceptions of the usefulness of QRIS and ease of use, each of which is considered to have a significant influence on technology acceptance. This study utilized a survey method to collect data from university students who use QRIS as an official payment method. The results showed that the usefulness and ease of use of QRIS have a significant influence on the amount used in the academic community. In addition, it has been shown that additional reasons, such as perceived security and ease of use of QRIS technology, greatly influence the decision to use it. According to data analysis, perceptions of the benefits of QRIS in facilitating transactions and ease of use have a significant influence on increasing the frequency of use. These factors show how important TAM is to implementing QRIS in the world of education. The results of the study indicate that digital payment service managers must consider factors of convenience and better security. This will allow QRIS to become more popular in the academic world.

Abstract

This research examines the effect of digital transformation on human resource management (HRM) in global organizations using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. It focuses on how digitalization, through technologies like HRIS and automation, impacts operational efficiency, employee retention, and various HR functions. Data were gathered from the top 34 journals (2017-2024) in Google Scholar using Publish or Perish (PoP). Results show enhanced productivity, work flexibility, and employees' digital skills, though challenges such as resistance to change and skill shortages were noted. The study advises companies to factor in ethical and social responsibility considerations when adopting technology. Limitations include the sources and timeframe of the data, suggesting future research should expand the scope of sources and duration.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif yang menguraikan pokok permasalahan dalam artikel ini meliputi Branding, Influencer, dan Smart Branding Award satu persatu secara rinci untuk memberikan pemahaman yang komprehensif bagi para pembaca yang akan membaca, mengkritisi, dan menelaah kembali artikel ini. Data yang digunakan dalam artikel ini merupakan data sekunder yang peneliti peroleh dari berbagai sumber yang kredibel dan berkualitas seperti jurnal ilmiah terakreditasi, buku-buku dengan penerbit kredibel, dan sumber website yang tidak diragukan lagi kebenarannya. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan tahapan pengumpulan data, pemilihan data, reduksi data, dan penarikan simpulan dengan hasil penelitian di bawah ini. Hasil dalam artikel ini menunjukkan reward yang dapat meningkatkan semangat seseorang yang diberikan reward untuk meningkatkan intensitas kerjanya, kemudian award memiliki konsep yang sama dimana Influencer akan lebih bersemangat dan agresif dalam melakukan branding terhadap pariwisata yang ada. Terlebih lagi ward yang dimaksud bernilai emosional dan memiliki nilai material yang besar, hal tersebut dapat membuat Influencer semakin tertarik hingga memutuskan untuk melakukan branding terhadap destinasi pariwisata tersebut. Konsep ini merupakan konsep yang cerdas untuk meningkatkan minat Influencer dalam melakukan branding terhadap pariwisata yang ada.

Abstract

Program Master Meter PDAM Cabang Medan Labuhan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan layanan akses air dari PDAM Cabang Medan Labuhan yang ditujukan kepada Masyarakat Berpenghasilan Rendah (MBR) yang secara teknis dan administratif tidak dapat dilayani oleh PDAM Cabang Medan Labuhan. Namun, dalam pelaksanaanya masih sering mengalami beberapa masalah yakni air yang keluar dari pipa kecil dan keruh, juga sering terjadi kebocoran pipa sehingga menyebabkan masyarakat sering membayar tarif lebih dari biasanya. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik penentuan informan yakni purposive sampling dengan analisis data yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan kesimpulan. Teknik pengabsahan data dalam penelitian ini Triangulasi sumber dan Triangulasi Metode. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa efektivitas pelaksanaan program master meter di Desa Kota Bangun Kecamatan Medan Deli belum bisa dikatakan efektif karena masih terdapat beberapa kekurangan seperti dari segi Sosialisasi program yang belum maksimal. Selain itu, pemantauan program juga belum maksimal. Namun ada beberapa indikator yang sudah tercapai seperti ketepatan sasaran program Master Meter, peserta program master meter dapat menikmati layanan air bersih dengan biaya terjangkau. Selanjutnya, pencapaian tujuan program sudah efektif karena program master meter mampu mencapai tujuan yang diharapkan yaitu memudahkan layanan akses air bersih bagi masyarakat berpenghasilan rendah.
