Abstract

Data on regional potential plays a crucial role in decision-making processes related to regional development. The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) is responsible for collecting and processing data concerning natural resources, socio-economic conditions, and infrastructure in various regions. However, at BPS Pidie Regency, challenges remain in processing regional potential data, particularly in terms of efficiency and accuracy. The manual processes, combined with limited tools, pose significant obstacles to expediting data processing. Consequently, the development of the Regional Potential Information System (SIPW) has been identified as a solution to these issues. SIPW aims to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of data processing by utilizing current information technology. With SIPW, the processing of regional potential data can be automated and integrated, thereby reducing the errors common in manual methods. Furthermore, SIPW provides policymakers with quick, easy, and accurate access to data, thereby supporting more effective development planning. This study aims to develop and evaluate the implementation of SIPW at BPS Pidie Regency and assess its impact on the efficiency and accuracy of regional potential data processing. It is anticipated that SIPW will serve as an effective tool for formulating data-driven policies, ultimately fostering more targeted and efficient regional progress.

Abstract

The Laboratory Equipment Management Information System (SIP Alat Lab) at SMK 1 Sigli aims to enhance efficiency and accuracy in managing laboratory tools. Previously, equipment management was conducted manually, which posed risks such as recording errors, equipment loss, and irregular maintenance. This study designs and develops a computer-based system to streamline the recording, borrowing, and maintenance of laboratory equipment. SIP Alat Lab integrates various functions, including equipment data recording, equipment condition monitoring, and usage report generation, allowing laboratory managers to handle resources more effectively. The research includes the system design phase, database creation, and system implementation in the SMK 1 Sigli laboratory. The findings indicate that the developed system accelerates administrative processes, reduces equipment loss, and improves overall equipment maintenance. System users, including laboratory staff and teachers, have provided positive feedback regarding its ease of use and the efficiency it brings. It is anticipated that this system can be adapted by other schools to improve the quality of laboratory equipment management.

Abstract

Customer data management and payment arrears are critical aspects of the operations at PDAM Tirta Mon Krueng Baro. However, the manual recording methods still in use often lead to issues such as inaccurate data, slow administrative processes, and difficulties in tracking customer payment statuses. To address these challenges, the Water Bill Arrears Information System was developed to facilitate integrated and efficient data management. This system utilizes Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 for the interface and Microsoft Access 2007 as the database platform. The system development involved several stages, including requirements analysis, database design, and user interface creation. One of the key features of the system is its ability to record, process, and display customer data and arrears in real time. It also includes a reporting module, enabling administrators to generate summaries of arrears and payments quickly and accurately. The implementation of this system has improved operational efficiency, minimized data entry errors, and expedited decision-making regarding payment and arrears management. Results indicate that the system outperforms the manual method in managing data, providing users with easier access to track arrears and generate reports for decision-making. Consequently, this system serves as a practical solution for enhancing the quality of service and management at PDAM.

Abstract

The management of patient data, which still relies on manual record-keeping in archives or books, often leads to inefficiencies in hospital services. The lengthy data retrieval process, the risk of data loss, and the deterioration of records are significant issues that need immediate resolution. Therefore, the development of a computerized patient management information system presents a viable solution to enhance healthcare service efficiency in hospitals. This system enables faster and more secure recording and processing of patient data. With the use of computerized systems, data retrieval is expedited, patient waiting times are reduced, and services are optimized. Furthermore, the system simplifies the generation of reports, such as patient data, outpatient records, and medications administered, which would otherwise be time-consuming if handled manually. Data security is also improved with the inclusion of user verification features, ensuring that only authorized personnel can access sensitive information. While the risk of data corruption still exists, it can be mitigated through regular backup procedures. The development of this system is expected to be more widely implemented across various healthcare facilities, extending beyond hospitals to include clinics and health centers.

Abstract

The development of an information system for low-income households aims to improve the efficiency of data management for impoverished homes in Glumpang Tiga District. This system replaces the less effective use of Microsoft Excel by leveraging Microsoft Access 2007 for the database and Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 for the user interface. The primary objective of the system is to simplify data input, information retrieval, and report generation. The development process begins with a feasibility analysis, followed by the design of the database and user interface. A login form is implemented to restrict access, ensuring that only authorized personnel can manage the data. The data input feature enables officers to record information related to households, residents, and family members, with clearly defined category settings. The reports generated are directly applicable for analyzing low-income household data. This system is expected to provide a structured and easily accessible solution for data management, assisting authorities in more accurate planning for development and community empowerment programs.

Abstract

The information system for damaged house data in Tangse District is designed to facilitate the management of damaged house data efficiently and accurately. This system aims to replace the manual process still in use by implementing computer-based software, enabling the data entry and processing of damaged houses to be carried out more quickly and easily. The system includes several key features, namely data input for damaged houses, data search, and report generation. Users can input data regarding damaged houses, search for previously entered data, and generate reports for printing. The process begins with user login, followed by the selection of the main menu to choose the desired function. The system is implemented using software such as Microsoft Access and Visual Basic, with normalization concepts applied to ensure data is well-organized and consistent. Evaluation results show that this system enhances work efficiency and data accuracy in managing damaged house information, providing convenience for the head of the subdistrict and related officers in making more precise decisions.

Abstract

The development of a book procurement information system in libraries aims to replace inefficient manual methods with a more structured computer-based system. The designed system facilitates the recording of book data, suppliers, and procurement transactions, improving speed and accuracy in information management. A feasibility study was conducted to assess technical, operational, and financial readiness before system implementation. System analysis was carried out to identify existing challenges in the previous method, serving as the foundation for designing a new system with more optimal features. System design involves creating a normalized database to eliminate data duplication and enhance efficiency in information retrieval. System implementation includes testing and user training to ensure smooth adoption. Evaluation results indicate that this system accelerates the book procurement process, reduces recording errors, and simplifies transaction reporting. This research aligns with previous studies demonstrating that implementing a computer-based information system can enhance library service effectiveness. With a more integrated system, book management becomes more efficient, records are more accurate, and information is more accessible to users. Continuous development is expected to further adapt the system to library needs in addressing data management challenges in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to design and develop an information system for the inventory management of science laboratory equipment at SMA Negeri 1 Mutiara, Pidie Regency. The current manual management of laboratory equipment is prone to errors in recording and inventory control. Therefore, the developed information system is expected to speed up and simplify the process of recording, borrowing, and returning equipment more efficiently. The system development method used is the prototyping method, with data collection through interviews, observations, and documentation. The system testing results show that the web-based application developed successfully facilitates the management of laboratory equipment, reduces human errors, and enhances operational efficiency. This system allows the laboratory staff to automatically record equipment, with integrated features for borrowing and returning equipment. The implementation of this information system is expected to make the management of laboratory equipment at SMA Negeri 1 Mutiara more transparent, organized, and effective.

Abstract

This research aims to design an information system for managing assistance for underprivileged houses using a Visual Basic 6.0 application. The application is designed to simplify the management of recipient data, aid distribution, and related reports, focusing on ease of use and time efficiency. The developed system is expected to replace manual methods, which are often time-consuming and prone to errors. The research approach involves system design and development, with stages including planning, data collection, development, and application evaluation. Data were collected through literature study, interviews with social organization managers, field observations, and questionnaires from end-users. The system was developed using Visual Basic 6.0 and Microsoft Access as the database. After the application was completed, testing was conducted to ensure the system functioned as expected, focusing on functionality, data access speed, and user-friendliness. System evaluation showed that the application improved the accuracy and transparency of aid management. This research provides a practical solution for managing assistance for underprivileged houses more efficiently and accountably.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the transformation of letter archiving management from a manual system to a computerized system at PT. PLN (PERSERO) Area Sigli, Pidie Regency. The letter archiving system, previously based on paper, has now been replaced by a Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0-based system to improve the efficiency of archive management. This research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach, involving interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that the implementation of the computerized system has improved the speed and accuracy of letter management, as well as reduced the risk of document damage or loss. However, challenges faced include high initial investment costs, staff training needs, and the availability of adequate infrastructure. Despite these challenges, the transformation has had a positive impact on operational efficiency and has facilitated easier access to information within the company. The findings of this study provide important insights into the benefits and challenges associated with the transition from a manual to a computerized archiving system.
