Abstract

This study examines the contribution of civil engineering to defense industry infrastructure, focusing on PT Pindad as Indonesia’s leading defense manufacturer. The aim is to bridge the literature gap between civil engineering practices and the strategic requirements of defense facilities. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted under the PRISMA framework using Scopus, Web of Science, IEEE Xplore, and Google Scholar, resulting in 92 selected articles (2015–2025). Thematic analysis revealed distribution across three themes: infrastructure 40 articles (43.5%), sustainability 30 articles (32.6%), and technology 22 articles (23.9%). Findings confirm infrastructure as the operational backbone, while sustainability and technology are increasingly significant. The implication emphasizes resilient, sustainable, and technology-driven facilities to strengthen Indonesia’s defense industry independence.

Abstract

Population growth and economic activity in West Java and Central Java increase traffic volume and congestion, especially in the southern lanes that do not have toll roads. The distribution of goods and people's mobility still rely on arterial roads such as Jalan Nagreg which is narrow and prone to congestion. This study aims to analyze the planning of the Gedebage-Tasikmalaya-Cilacap Toll Road Section I of the Gedebage-North Garut section with a quantitative descriptive method. The results show segments 1–6 are heavy traffic, while segments 7–10 are smooth. Trase 2 was chosen because it was more optimal in terms of technical, cost, and environmental aspects. The planning includes 41 PIs, 79 PVIs, three main interchanges, as well as the construction of 300 mm JRCP pavement, 150 mm thin concrete, 200 mm class A concrete, and 200 mm optional stacks.

Abstract

The abstract in the study attracts attention to the health risks of industrial operations, particularly in the low-income neighborhood within the area, owing to the radiation, noise, and emissions. The objective of the research will be to establish the use of industrial hygienic gadgets, including air quality screeners, noise dose, and radiation surveillance, to quantify and protect this impact on the common good. The paper gives the medical complications of industrial exposure, such as respiratory and cardiovascular conditions, and the challenge of beginning to assess the health statuses in society. The paper concludes by asking the question that more powerful policies should be designed to establish stronger environmental policies, promote localized surveillance systems, and develop a concept that can be used to defend the health of the vulnerable population through adherence to the industrial hygiene instruments in the context of environmental justice.

Abstract

This research examines integrating industrial hygiene principles into public health programs to address community environmental health risks. Using a mixed-methods approach combining literature review and case study analysis, we evaluated industrial hygiene interventions in schools, healthcare facilities, and informal settlements. Three case studies demonstrated significant health improvements: 15% reduction in asthma-related school absenteeism, 45% decrease in healthcare worker respiratory symptoms, and 35% reduction in childhood respiratory infections in informal settlements. Results show industrial hygiene methods effectively reduce environmental exposures when adapted for community settings. The study contributes novel frameworks for expanding occupational hygiene beyond workplace applications, offering systematic approaches for community hazard assessment and control. Integration requires addressing resource limitations, building technical capacity, and ensuring community engagement for sustainable implementation.

Abstract

This paper examines the theological role of the Holy Spirit as Spiritus Eschaton—the Spirit who guarantees, seals, and fulfills God’s plan of salvation—in response to renewed eschatological debates sparked by the viral “rapture” rumor of September 2025. Using theological hermeneutics and historical analysis of biblical Greek and Hebrew texts, as well as early church traditions, the study explores the concept of arrabōn tou pneumatos (“the guarantee of the Spirit”) in Ephesians 1:13–14 and 2 Corinthians 1:22. It finds that the Holy Spirit serves as tangible proof of believers living between the age of grace and the age of fulfillment. The paper concludes that the church should not be driven by fear of apocalyptic events but should instead focus on faith and the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit in facing the end times with hope.

Abstract

This study examines how sport event tourism and hedonism influence tourists’ visit intention, with electronic word of mouth (eWOM) as a mediating variable. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through offline interviews with 100 visitors of the MotoGP Mandalika event and analyzed using PLS-SEM. Results show that sport event tourism and hedonism significantly affect eWOM, while only sport event tourism and eWOM directly influence visit intention. eWOM also mediates both relationships, suggesting that emotional enjoyment and digital engagement transform experiences into behavioral intentions. These findings highlight the strategic importance of enhancing event quality and encouraging online sharing to strengthen destination image and revisit intention in sport tourism contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of blended learning on students' critical thinking skills. This research utilizes a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, employing a time series method. The research sample used a class drawing technique consisting of two classes with a sample of 30 students. The tools employed included essay questions and questionnaires to assess critical thinking variables and blended learning through the HOTS approach, in addition to field notes. The findings of the study indicate that implementing the blended learning model combined with the HOTS approach enhances students' critical thinking abilities. This is evidenced by the results of the anova test obtained an anova value of F calculated as 5.851 with a significance level of 0.036. The hypothesis is accepted since the calculated F value exceeds the F table value. Based on the study’s findings, it can be concluded that implementing the blended learning model with the HOTS approach is effective in enhancing students' critical thinking abilities in employment-related topics.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the determinants of firm value among technology-based startup companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2017 to 2022. The study employs a quantitative research design, utilizing secondary data obtained from financial statements and annual reports of ten eligible startup firms. The analysis is conducted using multiple linear regression via SPSS. The variables examined include Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Return on Assets (ROA), Company Growth, and Company Size, with Tobin’s Q employed as a proxy for company value. The findings reveal that DER has a statistically significant positive effect on company value (p < 0.01), whereas ROA, company growth, and company size do not show significant influence. The results suggest that the capital structure, particularly debt utilization, plays a critical signaling role for investors in the startup ecosystem, while profitability and firm scale are less predictive of value at this early stage.

Abstract

This study examines civilian experiences during the 2025 Thailand–Cambodia border conflict using a User Experience (UX) approach. Through diary studies and the experience sampling method (ESM), supported by an adapted HEART framework, the research shows that F-16 strikes created anticipatory fear, BM-21 rockets disrupted essential daily activities, and white phosphorus caused long-term trauma and reduced trust in state institutions. The findings highlight that military technology assessment must consider humanitarian impacts and civilian experiences rather than focusing solely on tactical effectiveness.
