Abstract

Abstrak. Prokrastinasi akademik merupakan perilaku menunda pengerjaan tugas secara sengaja dan berulang yang dapat berdampak negatif terhadap kinerja akademik dan kesejahteraan psikologis mahasiswa. Penelitiaan ini ingin melihat bagaimana pengaruh kecerdasan emosional dan efikasi diri terhadap prokrastinasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kecerdasan emosional dan efikasi diri akademik terhadap prokrastinasi akademik pada mahasiswa Universitas Muslim Indonesia, khususnya Fakultas Agama Islam.. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain survei non-eksperimen. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 203 mahasiswa, dengan sampel sebanyak 160 mahasiswa yang diperoleh melalui teknik accidental sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah Multidimensional Academic Procrastination Scale (MAPS-15) untuk mengukur prokrastinasi akademik, Academic Self Efficacy (ASE) untuk mengukur efikasi diri akademik, dan Wong and Law Emotional Intelligence Scale (WLEIS) untuk mengukur kecerdasan emosional. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis regresi ganda untuk menguji pengaruh parsial dan simultan antar variabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecerdasan emosional dan efikasi diri akademik berpengaruh signifikan terhadap prokrastinasi akademik, baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi teoretis dalam pengembangan psikologi pendidikan serta menjadi dasar penyusunan intervensi untuk menurunkan prokrastinasi akademik melalui peningkatan kecerdasan emosional dan efikasi diri akademik. Kata Kunci: Prokrastinasi akademik, kecerdasan emosional, efikasi diri akademik.

Abstract

Abstract. Early Childhood Education (ECE) represents a critical developmental foundation during the so-called golden age, in which teachers serve as central role models shaping children's cognitive, social, and emotional development. However, limited professional recognition of ECE teachers in Indonesia remains a significant challenge, potentially affecting their self-image and psychological well-being. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of psychoeducational intervention in enhancing the self-image of ECE teachers. This research employed a quantitative approach using a one-group pretest–posttest design involving 43 participants. The intervention consisted of four structured psychoeducation sessions addressing the definition, dimensions, influencing factors, and strategies for improving self-image. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test following the Shapiro–Wilk normality test, which indicated non-normal data distribution. The findings revealed a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores (Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.013, p < 0.05). Fourteen participants demonstrated increased scores (positive ranks), twenty-five showed no change (ties), and four exhibited decreased scores. These results indicate that psychoeducation effectively facilitates a shift toward a more adaptive and constructive professional self-perception. Overall, psychoeducation serves as a preventive and promotive intervention to strengthen teachers’ resilience and professional self-concept amid structural challenges.Keywords: Self-image; Early Childhood Education Teachers; Psychoeducation; Golden Age

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara fear of missing out (FOMO) terhadap perilaku phubbing pada mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Makassar. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Univesitas Negeri Makassar yang memiliki smartphone dan pernah memainkannya saat sedang melakukan percakapan secara langsung dengan orang lain. Responden dalam penelitian ini seluruhnya berjumlah 380 orang yang terdiri dari laki-laki (N=190) dan Perempuan (N=190). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode korelasional dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan non - probability sampling. Fear of Missing Out diukur menggunakan aspek dari Przybylski,   Murayama, DeHaan dan Gladwell (2013) dan  skala Phubbing disusun menggunakan aspek dari Karadeg, Tostuntas, Erzen, Buru, Bostan, Sahin, Culha & Babadag (2015) yang  kedua skala tersebut telah melalui proses adaptasi. Data penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan korelasi Spearman dengan bantuan SPSS 21 for windows. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa besarnya kekuatan hubungan antara variabel adalah r = 0,293, dengan dilai signifikansi p = 0,000 < 0,05. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) terhadap perilaku phubbing pada mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Makassar. Penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa perbedaan jenis kelamin tidak memiliki pengaruh terhadap perilaku phubbing.  Kata Kunci: Fear of Missing Out, Phubbing, dan Smartphone

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh pelatihan regulasi emosi terhadap peningkatan academic buoyancy pada siswa boarding school. Academic buoyancy merupakan kemampuan siswa untuk menghadapi tantangan dan hambatan akademik sehari-hari secara adaptif. Siswa boarding school menghadapi tekanan akademik dan sosial yang lebih besar dibandingkan siswa sekolah reguler karena harus beradaptasi dengan lingkungan tinggal yang baru, jauh dari keluarga, serta tuntutan akademik yang tinggi. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain eksperimen one-group pretest-posttest dengan 10 subjek siswa boarding school yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Intervensi berupa pelatihan regulasi emosi yang dilaksanakan selama delapan sesi. Instrumen pengukuran menggunakan skala academic buoyancy yang telah tervalidasi. Analisis data menggunakan paired samples t-test. Hasil menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara skor pretest (M = 13,30; SD = 2,06) dan posttest (M = 18,90; SD = 1,91), dengan t(9) = -6,52, p < 0,001, Cohen's d = -2,06. Disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan regulasi emosi secara signifikan meningkatkan academic buoyancy siswa boarding school dengan ukuran efek besar. Kata Kunci: academic buoyancy; boarding school; pelatihan regulasi emosi; eksperimen

Abstract

Abstrak. This research aimed to analyze the levels of junior secondary school students’ intrinsic and extrinsic motivation in English vocabulary learning using Quizizz. It was conducted among grade 8 students at SMP Negeri 4 Mambi, Mamasa Regency, West Sulawesi province, in the 2025/2026 academic year. A mixed method approach was employed in this study. To gather the data, an online questionnaire and semi-structured interviews were used. The total participants were 31 students, who filled out the online questionnaires and 5 of them were chosen purposely that were consented to be interviewed. The data were analyzed quantitively and qualitatively. Those listed statements in the questionnaires were validated through Self-Determination Theory before they were administered to the observed group. The findings showed that the level of intrinsic motivation was at a high degree level, which had a total mean score 3.72, while the extrinsic motivation level of students was at 3.69, indicating that the level was also high. These results were further confirmed through in-depth interviews with students, where they were highly motivated and engaged in English vocabulary learning by using Quizizz as an interactive digital learning application in the classroom due to its interactive, score and feedback features in the application. The future researchers may investigate the impact of such application on other language skills, its effectiveness at various proficiency levels, and the implementation in long – term duration.
