Abstract

PT X is a company that is required to report the Environmental Management and Monitoring Efforts (UKL–UPL) and has obtained an Environmental Permit. In accordance with Government Regulation Number 22 of 2021 Article 49, PT X is obliged to implement environmental management and monitoring measures and submit reports on a semester basis. This study evaluates the compliance and effectiveness of the implementation of the UKL–UPL for Semester II of 2023–2024 at PT X. The research applies an empirical juridical method with a descriptive-comparative analysis of UKL–UPL documents and laboratory test results. The findings indicate that the company has complied with environmental permitting requirements, environmental quality standards, domestic wastewater quality testing, and hazardous and toxic waste (B3) management. However, increases in Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), ammonia, and ambient air particulate parameters were observed, indicating a decline in environmental quality. In addition, the monitoring frequency has not fully complied with regulatory provisions. It is concluded that administrative compliance has been achieved; however, the effectiveness of environmental control still needs to be improved through routine monitoring and the integration of digital reporting systems.

Abstract

The study of the term Amar (command) is one of the important topics in ushul fiqih, as determining the meaning of syar’i law largely depends on the understanding of commands found in the Qur'an and Hadith. Experts have differing views on whether the term Amar indicates an absolute obligation, merely a recommendation, or just permission. This article aims to explore the foundation of the term Amar, its application in verses and Hadith, and its legal implications in the context of modern fiqih. The research method used is literature review with a textual and contextual analysis approach. The results show that most ushul scholars agree that the term Amar essentially indicates obligation, unless there is a qarinah that diverts that meaning. However, in modern fiqh, the legal impact of Amar is greatly influenced by maqasid al-shariah and social situations. This emphasizes that the understanding of Amar needs to be flexible while still being grounded in the principles of classical ushul fiqh.

Abstract

International law is often perceived as an idealistic framework separate from the harsh realities of politics. The case of South Africa versus Israel at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) from late 2023 to early 2024 highlights the relevance of international legal principles amid armed conflict. This study analyzes the legal and political implications of the judicial process, focusing on the application of the 1948 Genocide Convention, the role of the International Court, and the limitations of global law enforcement. The analysis shows that although the ICJ lacks the military power to enforce its rulings, the international legal process exerts significant moral, political, and diplomatic pressure. The case also reinforces global accountability and underscores the importance of international humanitarian law principles in the context of complex armed conflicts.

Abstract

One of the factors that supports a teacher’s success in the learning process is the availability of instructional tools that can be used by teachers. A good and proper learning process should begin with the preparation of a learning implementation plan. This study aims to identify the differences between learning implementation plans in the 2013 Curriculum and those in the Merdeka Belajar (Independent Learning) Curriculum. The research methodology employed is a Systematic Literature Review. Differences in the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) between the 2013 Curriculum and the Merdeka Curriculum are found in several components, such as terminology. In the 2013 Curriculum, the term RPP is still used, whereas in the Merdeka Curriculum it is replaced by the term teaching module. In terms of learning outcomes, the 2013 Curriculum uses the terms Core Competencies (KI) and Basic Competencies (KD), while the Merdeka Curriculum divides learning outcomes into several phases: Phase A (Grades 1 and 2), Phase B (Grades 3 and 4), Phase C (Grades 5 and 6), Phase D (Grades 7, 8, and 9), Phase E (Grade 10), and Phase F (Grades 11 and 12). Furthermore, assessment in the RPP of the 2013 Curriculum still applies formative and summative assessments that evaluate students’ cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects, whereas the Merdeka Curriculum uses Minimum Competency Assessment and additional assessment for strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile.

Abstract

Indonesia, as a country with a high level of religious diversity, faces complex dynamics in ensuring the protection of Human Rights, particularly freedom of religion and belief. Religious diversity, which includes Islam, Protestantism, Catholicism, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Confucianism, constitutes a social asset that has the potential to strengthen national unity; however, it also gives rise to various challenges such as intolerance, discrimination, and religion-based violence. This article aims to examine the relationship between human rights principles and religious diversity in Indonesia, identify obstacles to the implementation of freedom of religion, and analyze the roles of the government and society in fostering a tolerant and inclusive social life. The findings indicate that strengthening human rights protection within the context of religious diversity requires fair and inclusive regulations, continuous multicultural education, and the development of interfaith dialogue as a means of building mutual understanding and respect for differences.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the phenomenon of digital preaching that is rapidly growing among Generation Z, particularly through the TikTok platform. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of Ustadz Hanan Attaqi's persuasive rhetoric on increasing the compliance and spiritual awareness of Generation Z on social media. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a constructivist paradigm and cultural phenomenology method. Data were obtained through observation of preaching content on TikTok, analysis of audience interactions (likes, comments, and reposts), and an online survey of 105 respondents aged 15–20 years who belong to Generation Z. The results show that 94.3% of respondents feel that Ustadz Hanan Attaqi's preaching has a positive impact on self-introspection, increased consistency in worship, and strengthening of morals. This effectiveness is influenced by the application of persuasive rhetoric that combines ethos, pathos, and logos in a balanced manner, delivered in a communicative style that is relevant to the lives of young people. This research contributes to the development of digital da'wah communication and demonstrates that social media can be an effective tool in shaping the spirituality of the younger generation in the modern era.
