Abstract

The advancement of technology continues to grow, resulting in various forms of work requiring computers to support their activities. With computers, technology can be developed through internet networks, making it easier for people to obtain and disseminate information. The internet can also be used to develop learning processes. By utilizing the internet, teaching materials for students can be made more interesting, interactive, and varied. One of the internet technologies frequently used by kindergarten-age children is YouTube. YouTube is a social media platform that is highly popular among the public because it provides a wide range of educational, entertainment, and informational content. In the context of learning, YouTube can be utilized as a learning medium capable of increasing students’ interest and motivation in kindergarten education. Through engaging learning videos, students can more easily understand the material delivered by teachers. Therefore, training in the creation and use of YouTube as a learning medium for teachers at TKQ Al Falah is important to conduct. This activity aims to enable teachers to optimally utilize digital technology in the teaching and learning process, thereby creating learning experiences that are more innovative, creative, and enjoyable for children.

Abstract

This activity aims to optimize practicum-based science learning through the utilization of Science Kits (KIT IPA) at State Junior High School 8 Makassar. The problem faced by science teachers at the school was their limited experience in using Science Kits optimally, particularly the Optics Kit and the Electricity and Magnetism Kit, resulting in less effective practicum implementation. The training was conducted through a workshop approach consisting of kit usage demonstrations, hands-on practice, and assistance in developing experiment-based student worksheets (LKPD). The results of the activity showed an improvement in teachers’ understanding of the functions and procedures for using Science Kits, as well as an increase in science teachers’ ability to design practicum activities aligned with learning outcomes. In addition, participants applied the simple practicum modules developed during the training to be implemented in classroom learning. This activity contributed to improving the quality of science learning at State Junior High School 8 Makassar and strengthening teachers’ competencies in conducting active, contextual, and inquiry-based learning.

Abstract

Kacang Jaruk is a traditional fermented food from Barabai, Hulu Sungai Tengah, South Kalimantan, possessing high cultural value but limited market performance due to weak branding, packaging, and digital marketing. This community service aimed to empower Kacang Jaruk Udi Barabai MSME through the “3 Pillars of Growth: Product-Story-Digital” Model. Using Participatory Action Research with a Pentahelix approach from March–June 2026, interventions included: 1) Local product education through GMP SOP development and PIRT legalization; 2) Storytelling via new packaging, QR Codes, and the “Satu Rasa Seribu Cerita” content series; 3) Digital collaboration with micro-influencers, resellers, and marketplace onboarding. Results showed production capacity increased from 15 kg to 40 kg/week, selling price rose by 46.7%, revenue grew 85% with 62% from online channels, and local employment was created. This model proves that integrating cultural values, brand narrative, and digital technology can elevate traditional food MSMEs from survival to growth. The approach is replicable for other culture-based local MSMEs.

Abstract

Stunting remains a major nutritional problem that requires community-based preventive strategies. This community service program aimed to improve the knowledge and practical skills of Posyandu mothers regarding stunting prevention through nutraceutical training in Darsono Village. The program involved 30 participants using a one-group pretest–posttest approach. Activities consisted of educational sessions on stunting, critical prevention periods, nutraceutical concepts, and the benefits of turmeric, followed by practical training in preparing turmeric pudding as a functional food product. Knowledge changes were assessed using pretest and posttest questionnaires. The results showed improved participant knowledge across all measured indicators after the intervention. The greatest improvement was found in understanding nutraceutical concepts (33.33%), followed by knowledge of nutraceutical dosage forms (26.66%) and the benefits of nutraceuticals (26.66%). The training also strengthened participants’ practical ability to utilize local food resources as an innovative nutritional intervention. These findings suggest that combining health education with hands-on practice is an effective strategy to strengthen community capacity in stunting prevention.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) is entitled “The Socialization of the Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) Method in English Communication at SMK Binajaya Palembang.” The program incorporates the theory of Peter D. MacIntyre (2007), which explains the relationship between willingness to communicate, motivation, anxiety, and learning. The PKM employed a simulation-based approach through the practical implementation of learning activities related to the socialization of the Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) method in English communication at SMK Binajaya Palembang. The results of the program revealed that speaking activities generated positive responses in enhancing students’ willingness to speak. This was achieved through the principles of the CLT method, which place less emphasis on linguistic errors related to grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation. Such an approach helps minimize students’ anxiety about making mistakes while speaking, thereby increasing their motivation to communicate in English confidently and without fear. As a result, students’ hesitation and unwillingness to communicate in English can be significantly reduced. Nevertheless, continuous guidance from teachers and students’ perseverance in practicing and learning remain essential to further improve their language proficiency and communication skills.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought major changes to the world of education, one of which is through the use of gadgets by elementary school students. Gadgets can provide benefits as a learning medium, but excessive and uncontrolled use has the potential to reduce students' learning concentration, especially in Mathematics subjects which require high focus and precision. This research aims to determine the relationship between gadget use and students' learning concentration in Mathematics class V at UPTD SD Negeri 122345 Pematangsiantar. This research uses a quantitative approach with correlational methods. The population in this study was all 32 class V students, with a sampling technique using saturated sampling. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires, observation and documentation. The data analysis technique uses descriptive analysis and Product Moment correlation. It is hoped that the results of the research will provide an overview of the relationship between gadget use and student learning concentration and will be a consideration for teachers and parents in directing the use of gadgets wisely and productively.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of beluntas leaf extract (Pluchea indica Lesser) on broiler meat quality. The study was conducted at the Poultry Installation of the Gowa Agricultural Development Polytechnic, and meat quality testing was conducted at the Animal Health Laboratory of the Gowa Agricultural Development Polytechnic. A Completely Randomized Design (CRD) was used in this study, with four treatments and four replications, each consisting of four broiler chickens. The beluntas leaf extract was administered twice daily at different doses: 0 ml (P0), 5 ml (P1), 10 ml (P2), and 15 ml (P3). Parameters observed included broiler meat texture, color, odor, and flavor. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance, followed by Duncan's test. The results showed that beluntas leaf extract significantly affected broiler meat quality (P<0.05). Based on the data for each parameter with various treatments, the best treatment is P3, with the administration of 15 ml/l of beluntas leaves.

Abstract

Cisalak Village has various potentials, one of which is in the livestock sector. In this sector, there are various types of cultivation businesses, such as chicken, catfish, patin fish, and other fish for consumption. However, farmers often face challenges in the form of increasing prices of animal feed. Both chicken and fish require large amounts of feed before they can be harvested, so that the spike in feed prices is an obstacle to the sustainability of livestock businesses in the village. This PKM program aims to provide training on BSF maggot cultivation as a solution in managing organic waste as well as an alternative to animal feed in Cisalak Village, Cisarua, Sumedang. The method used in this PKM is a socialization approach. This training activity was carried out well on March 9, 2026 and received a positive response from the local community. The enthusiasm of the residents was very high in participating in the series of activities, because this training offers a solution to the problem of expensive animal feed. The sustainability of this program depends on the consistency of the community in cultivating BSF maggots, so that the availability of animal feed is maintained and the price of feed is more affordable.
