Abstract

IPAS subjects are often considered difficult due to abstract concepts that require effective visualization so that the delivery of material can run well and can increase student participation. This study aims to increase the learning motivation of grade III students at SD Negeri Sungguminas V through the implementation of Canva-based learning media. This research used the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method which was carried out in two cycles. The research subjects were third grade students with a total of 32 students in the 2024/2025 school year. The results showed that the use of Canva-based learning media can significantly increase students' learning motivation. This shows that the pre-school learning motivation of students was 54.06%, while in cycle 1 there was an increase of 61.97% and in cycle 3 it was 60.72%. There is a significant increase from each cycle. This can be seen from the increase in students' activities in participating in learning, the positive response of students to the use of Canva-based learning media, and the increase in students' learning motivation. The conclusion of this study is that Canva-based learning media can be an effective and efficient alternative or solution to increase students' learning motivation, especially in IPAS subjects.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the low literacy of third grade students at SDN Sungguminasa V. This is evidenced by the observation results. This is evidenced by the results of observations; The purpose of this research is to describe the application of reading corner media through the School Literacy Movement (GLS) in improving the literacy comprehension skills of grade III students at SDN Sungguminasa V. The type of research is classroom action (PTK). The subjects of this study were third grade students consisting of 32 students, 15 male students and 17 female students.  This research consists of 2 cycles, each cycle is carried out in 4 stages, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection and consists of 2 meetings. The results of the application of reading corner media are carried out with several steps, so that it can improve the literacy comprehension of third grade students of SDN Sungguminasa V. This shows that the literacy comprehension ability in cycle 1 has increased by 73% and in cycle 2 by 87.5%. This increase can be seen from the test results which show that the average student score increased after the reading corner media intervention. In addition, students also showed greater interest in reading about their reading. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the implementation of the reading corner media through the School Literacy Movement (GLS) is an effective strategy to improve the literacy comprehension skills of Grade III students at SD Negeri Sungguminasa V.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the challenges in optimizing the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) in elementary schools, especially in shaping students' characters. This study aims to understand the implementation of P5 through teaching assistance activities at SD Inpres Morowa. Using a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research sample involved fifth grade students who were directly involved in P5. The results showed that the implementation of P5 contributed positively to the formation of students' characters, such as increasing problem-solving and collaboration skills. Environmentally friendly innovation projects, such as making tools from recycled materials, train students' creativity and awareness of the environment. The implications of these findings are opportunities for developing character-based learning, which can be a reference for other schools in implementing innovative and participatory curricula.

Abstract

The presence of digital era humans has created a new step in the sustainability of the existential calling of humans that is always running and changing. Social media as an artificial media for digital humans responds to this by providing full contributions through available information and communication facilities. This contrasts with the weak application of digital literacy in human education. The placement of humans in the digital world itself does not immediately apply practical ways of thinking and review to pre-digital era society. Humans are trapped in technical ways of thinking and not critical and constructive. The method used in this study is a qualitative method. Therefore, this study aims to discuss the challenges of digital literacy in the life of the digitalization era and a study of the application of digital literacy in the education of humans in the digital era. The results of the writing show that there are four pillars of digital literacy that are important for introducing and providing an understanding of information and communication technology devices, which include digital skills, digital culture, digital ethics, and digital safety.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between classroom management skills, school climate and work ethic partially and together with the informatics learning outcomes of class X students at SMKN 1 Painan. The research method used is quantitative correlational. The population in the study were all class X students at SMKN 1 Painan totaling 402 people. The research sample was 80 people drawn by proportional random sampling. The test results at a significance level of α 0.05 (95% confidence level) obtained a rx1y value of 0.969 with rtable 0.220 because rcount> rtable then the first hypothesis is accepted. Then the rx2y value is 0.969 with rtable 0.220, because rcount> rtable then the second hypothesis is accepted. Then the rx3y value is 0.970 with rtable 0.220, because rcount> rtable then the third hypothesis is accepted. Furthermore, the value of rx1x2x3y is 0.976 with rtable 0.220, because rcount> rtable then the fourth hypothesis is accepted. And supported by the value of Fcount = 518.764 and Ftable = 1.454 so that Fcount> Ftable (518.764> 1.454) is obtained. The implications of the research results are improving classroom management skills, improving school climate and improving teacher work ethic.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the process of improving learning activities and narrative writing skills of eighth grade students through the problem solver learning model at SMP Negeri 1 Saling, Empat Lawang Regency. This study was motivated by the low learning activities and narrative writing skills of students, where the average score of students ranged from 55-68, still below the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) set at 70. The method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was implemented in three cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were 30 eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Saling. Data collection was carried out through observation of learning activities and narrative writing skills tests. Data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively and quantitatively. The findings of the study showed a significant increase in each cycle. In cycle 1, only 23.3% of students actively participated in learning with an average writing skill score of 66.97 and classical completeness of 40%. In cycle 2, active activity increased to 70% with an average score of 76.53 and a completion rate of 70%. In cycle 3, active activity reached 93.3% with an average score of 87.10 and a classical completion rate of 93.33%, exceeding the 85% success indicator. This research was limited to one class and one school, so generalization of the findings requires caution. The practical implication of this research is that the problem-solving learning model can be used as an effective alternative strategy for teaching narrative writing at the junior high school level. Socially, this implementation model contributes to improving the quality of Indonesian language learning and empowering students to think critically and creatively. The original value of this research lies in the systematic application of the problem-solving model in three CAR cycles to simultaneously improve two variables: learning activities and narrative writing skills in a regional junior high school context. Abstract

This study aims to improve the poetry writing skills of fifth-grade students at SDN 12 Betung, Banyuasin Regency, through the use of picture media as a visual stimulus in Indonesian language learning. The study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design following the Kemmis and McTaggart model, conducted in two cycles. Each cycle comprised four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 23 fifth-grade students at SDN 12 Betung in the 2024/2025 academic year. Data were collected through poetry writing tests, student activity observation sheets, and learning process documentation.The results demonstrated significant improvement in poetry writing skills across cycles. The mean score increased from 63.70 in the pre-cycle (13% mastery rate) to 71.52 in Cycle I (48% mastery rate), and further rose to 83.26 in Cycle II, achieving a mastery rate of 96%. Student learning engagement also improved markedly, as evidenced by increased active participation, enthusiasm, and the ability to develop ideas and imagination through picture media.This study is limited to a single classroom in one primary school; therefore, generalization of findings should be approached with caution. Practically, the findings recommend that teachers in primary education integrate picture media as a contextual and engaging strategy for creative writing instruction. Socially, this approach has the potential to cultivate early literary appreciation among elementary school students. The original contribution of this study lies in providing empirical evidence of the effectiveness of picture media in improving poetry writing skills within the underresearched primary school context of Banyuasin Regency. Abstract

This study aims to improve the writing skills of Observation Reports (LHO) of eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Lembak, Muara Enim Regency through the use of Chromebook media in Indonesian language learning. The study used a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design with two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of the study were 23 eighth-grade students. Data collection was carried out through writing tests, student participation observation sheets, and motivation questionnaires. Learning strategies included project-based learning, the use of Google Classroom, and Chromebook-assisted group discussions. The results showed a significant increase in students' LHO writing skills. The average score increased from 61.4 (pre-cycle) to 70.0 (cycle I) and 81.6 (cycle II). Learning completeness increased from 26% to 95.65%. Student active participation also increased from 26% to 95.65%, reflecting a significant increase in learning motivation. Chromebooks have proven effective through their ease of real-time revision, collaboration between students, and rapid feedback. This study was limited to a single school with a limited number of subjects, so generalization of the findings should be done with caution.  These findings provide practical implications for Indonesian language teachers integrating Chromebook technology into writing instruction. Socially, the use of digital media promotes students' technological literacy in developing regions. This study provides a original contribution by demonstrating the effectiveness of Chromebooks as a learning medium for LHO writing in junior high schools in rural Indonesia. Abstract

This study aims to improve the writing skills of advertising texts of eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Mesuji through the application of Canva media in a project-based learning model. The study used a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design implemented in two cycles, with 30 eighth-grade students as subjects, and each cycle included four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results showed a significant increase in all measured aspects: teacher activity increased from 73.33% in cycle I to 93.33% in cycle II, student activity increased from 71.67% to 90%, and the average value of advertising text writing skills increased from 61.67 in the pre-cycle to 70.00 in cycle I and 85.83 in cycle II, with the percentage of classical completeness increasing from 33.33% to 50% and finally reaching 83.33%. This study was limited to one class in one junior high school so that generalization of the findings needs to be done carefully. Practically, the research results recommend the integration of Canva media as an alternative creative writing learning medium that is contextual, engaging, and easy to implement in the classroom. Socially, this approach has the potential to foster digital literacy and persuasive communication skills in students starting from  secondary education. The original value of this research lies in the combination of Canva media with a project-based learning model in the context of learning to write advertising texts in junior high schools, which has not been widely studied before.Keywords: Canva; writing; advertising; project-based learning. Abstract

Platform X is widely used by students to express emotions related to academic activities, yet it has not been optimally analyzed. This study aims to classify student emotions and compare the performance of Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM). The method used is a computational experiment involving data crawling, preprocessing, lexicon-based labeling, and modeling using TF-IDF for SVM and word embedding for LSTM. The dataset consists of 2,914 data points. The results show that SVM achieved an accuracy of 71.18%, outperforming LSTM at 68.95%. This indicates that SVM is more stable on limited datasets, while LSTM tends to overfit. The study concludes that algorithm selection should consider data characteristics and contributes to the comparison of machine learning and deep learning methods.   Keywords: LSTM, Sentiment Analysis, Social Media X, Student Emotion, SVM, TF-IDF
