Abstract

Mathematical reasoning is needed in solving AKM problems. Mathematical reasoning can be shown through geometry material. One of the factors that influence mathematical reasoning is multiple intelligences. Multiple intelligence is a theory presented by Gardner which states that each individual has eight intelligences. The three intelligences that affect the learning process of mathematics are logical-mathematical, linguistic, and visual-spatial intelligence. This study aims to describe students' mathematical reasoning in solving AKM problems about geometry and measurement content viewed from multiple intelligences. This research is qualitative research. The subjects of this study were three senior high school students consisting of one person each who has dominant logical-mathematical, linguistic, and visual-spatial intelligence. Data collection was carried out by providing multiple intelligence questionnaires, AKM geometry and measurements problems, and interviews. The data were analyzed based on the selected mathematical reasoning indicators. The results of the study show that: Student with dominant logical-mathematical intelligence analyzing a problem by giving reasons based on important information using logic. Students with dominant linguistic intelligence and students with dominant visual-spatial intelligence analyzing a problem by giving reasons using the help of an image that represents the shape described in the problems. Each student implementing a strategy to solve the problem according to what was planned in the previous stage by giving reasons based on the results to be obtained. In reflecting on a solution to a problem, each student draws a conclusion by giving reasons based on the results obtained from implementing the strategy and providing evidence by giving reasons based on the calculation results.

Abstract

This study aims to produce numeracy e-books that are feasible and valid in terms of content, presentation, and language and describe the practicality in terms of teacher and student response questionnaires and the effectiveness of numeracy e-books as learning media on statistics material in terms of improving pretest and posttest results. This research is an R&D research with the 4D method (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate), only until the development stage (develop) but still tested limitedly to students. The Numeracy E-book developed was tested on students of class X-3 SMA Negeri 12 Surabaya. Based on the results of the research that has been done, the development of E-book Numeration on statistics material obtained content validation results of 86% and construct validation results of 87% with a very valid category and feasible to use. In the aspect of practicality, the results of very positive responses from students and teachers were 96% with a very practical category. The effectiveness aspect based on the pretest and posttest results obtained an average n-gain score of 0.71 with a high category. Thus, overall this study can be concluded that the Numeracy E-book developed is feasible to use as a learning media on statistics material.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the validity, practicality and effectiveness of student worksheets based on comics on geometric materials developed in learning to improve student learning outcomes. The research method used in this study is a research and development. The subject of this research was a class of VII grade junior high school students. The instruments used were media expert validation questionnaires, material expert validation questionnaires, observation sheets of teachers' ability to manage learning, observation sheets of student activities, student response questionnaires and pretest-posttest.Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that the validation results of comic-based student worksheets were assessed by two validators, namely 1) media expert validator, 2) material expert validator. The results of the validation analysis of the experts obtained a score of 3. Based on the results of the validation analysis, comic-based student worksheets were developed that were feasible to try out. The results of observing the teacher's ability to manage learning obtained a score of 4, or included in the very good category. The results of observations of student activity obtained a score of 87.5%, or included in the active category. Based on the results of the practicality analysis, comic-based student worksheets are stated to be practical in the learning process. The results of the students' responses obtained a score of 96.57%, or included in the very good category. The pretest-posttest results obtained an N-gain score of 0.77, or included in the high category. Based on the results of the effectiveness analysis, comic-based student worksheets were declared effective in improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Every aspect of daily life is inseparable from the relationship with mathematics and the application of mathematical concepts. Because of this connection with mathematics through mathematical models, mathematical modeling can help students to see the connection between mathematics and real world. In the context-based Asesmen Kompetensi Minimum (AKM) questions, students are asked to solve mathematical problems related to real world. This study aims to determine the mathematical modeling ability of grade VIII junior high school students in solving AKM problems. This type of research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The data described is the mathematical modeling ability of students in solving AKM. The subjects of this study were twenty-six junior high school students in grade VIII. Students were given a test sheet containing AKM question in the numeracy section that had been adapted to the data and uncertainty content domain. The results showed that in the data and uncertainty content domain, students' mathematical modeling abilities were quite diverse. Some students were able to reach the exposing phase and answer questions correctly. Most students are still unable to interpret and validate the answers obtained from working mathematically to be referred to the situation of daily life problems in the given problem.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' critical thinking in solving AKM Numeracy Geometry Content and Measurement problems based on Field Independent and field dependent cognitive styles. The subjects of this study were one field-independent cognitive-style student and one field-dependent cognitive-style student who had the same sex and an equivalent level of mathematical ability. The instruments used are cognitive style tests, AKM question assignments and interview guidelines. The results of this study show that field independent cognitive style students meet all critical thinking indicators in solving AKM numeracy geometry content and measurement problems which are divided into six aspects of skills, namely interpretation, analysis, evaluation, inference, explanation and self-regulation, while field dependent cognitive style students only meet some critical thinking indicators contained in the evaluation aspect, inference and explanation.

Abstract

Manajemen kelas merupakan bagian penting dari pelaksanaan pengajaran dan pembelajaran yang efektif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk menganalisis manajemen kelas pada kelas VI SD menggunakan model pembelajaran cooperative learning dengan materi satuan panjang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Instrument yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah peneliti sendiri. Subjeknya yaitu kelas VI SDN No.14/III Punai Merindu, Tanjung Pauh Mudik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa manajemen kelas pada Kelas VI SD Menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Cooperative Learning dengan Materi Satuan Panjang sudah sangat baik yang ditandai dengan ketertiban siswa dan keaktifan siswa selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Dan pembelajaran juga menjadi lebih efektif.

Abstract

In studying mathematics, students are often only provided with makeshift media, such as printed books. Providing such monotonous media can result in students being less interested in learning mathematics and having an impact on the acquisition of unsatisfactory student learning outcomes. In an increasingly advanced digital era, the use of interactive media assisted by wizer.me can be an effective solution to overcome these problems and improve student learning outcomes in mathematics. The purpose of this research is to find out the differences in student learning outcomes using media wizer.me and conventional media, namely printed books in mathematics. In addition, to determine the effect of using wizer.me as an independent learning medium in terms of student learning outcomes in mathematics. The type of research used is quasi-experimental in the form of nonequivalent control group design with a quantitative approach. This research was conducted at Kartika XIX-3 Vocational School, Cirebon City, which consisted of 2 classes, namely X pharmacy as the experimental class and X nursing as the control class. Data collection techniques in this study used test techniques and the instrument used was an objective test to measure student learning outcomes in aspects of cognitive ability. After the objective test data is collected, the processing is carried out by means of statistical analysis. The results showed that: (1) Based on the results of the independent t test, a significance value of 0.007 <0.05 was obtained. So it can be stated that there are differences in student learning outcomes using media wizer.me and conventional media in mathematics. (2) Based on the results of the calculation of the type d effect size, the value of d is 0.90 > 0.80 and is included in the large category. Thus, the use of wizer.me as a self-learning medium has a major positive influence on student learning outcomes in mathematics.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to describe the process and results of developing mpytha learning media assisted by construct 2 software. This research is development research using the ADDIE model which consists of 5 stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The instruments used include media validation sheets for media experts, media validation sheets for material experts, student response questionnaire sheets and pretest-posttest sheets. Based on the results of research that has been carried out, the average validity value is 3.26 out of 4 with a percentage of 81.5% by media experts and 3.1 out of 4 with a percentage of 77.5% from material experts so it can be categorized as Mpytha learning media. valid. This learning media trial was carried out on a limited basis with 30 students in class VIII-J of SMP Negeri 5 Bojonegoro to obtain data on practicality (student response questionnaire) and media effectiveness (pretest-posttest sheet). The results of the research after the media were tested and evaluated, it was found that the learning media was declared practical in the medium category with a score of 2.91 or a percentage of 72.9%. The effective criteria obtained from the pretest-posttest results were declared effective in the medium category with an N-Gain value of 0.43.

Abstract

Abstrak Tidak semua permasalahan matematika dapat dianggap sebagai masalah. Sebuah soal matematika baru hanya dianggap sebagai masalah jika tidak bisa dipecahkan secara langsung dan memerlukan keterampilan khusus untuk menemukan solusinya. Oleh karena itu, keterampilan pemecahan masalah menjadi salah satu kompetensi yang sangat penting yang harus dimiliki dan dikembangkan oleh peserta didik. Dalam pemecahan masalah melibatkan keterampilan seseorang untuk memperoleh dan mengaplikasikan pengetahuan baru atau pengetahuan yang sudah dimiliki untuk menemukan pendekatan atau cara yang baru untuk menangani dan menyelesaikan masalah yang dihadapi. Dalam memecahkan masalah matematika, diperlukan suatu proses yang disebut matematisasi, yaitu suatu proses untuk mengubah suatu fenomena menjadi bentuk matematika. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan proses matematisasi yang dilakukan oleh peserta didik saat mereka menyelesaikan masalah dalam topik aljabar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Terdapat tiga subjek penelitian yang dipilih dari hasil analisis tes kemampuan matematika terhadap 27 peserta didik kelas VII A di salah satu SMP di Surabaya. Setiap subjek yang dipilih mewakili kategori kemampuan matematika tinggi, sedang, dan rendah berdasarkan hasil tes kemampuan matematika yang telah dilakukan. Metode pengumpulan data yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini adalah melalui tes matematisasi yang terdiri dari dua soal esai pada topik aljabar, serta melalui wawancara. Data yang terkumpul kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan indikator matematisasi De Lange. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik dengan kemampuan matematisasi tinggi memenuhi semua indikator matematisasi horizontal, tetapi kurang memenuhi satu indikator dalam matematisasi vertikal, yaitu penggunaan berbagai representasi matematis berbeda untuk menyelesaikan soal. Peserta didik dengan kategori sedang mampu memenuhi keseluruhan indikator matematisasi horizontal dan kurang memenuhi satu indikator pada matematisasi vertikal, yaitu menggunakan berbagai representasi matematis yang berbeda untuk menyelesaikan soal. Pada tahap matematisasi vertikal, peserta didik dengan kategori sedang melakukan revisi hasil pekerjaan karena kesalahan yang disebabkan oleh kurang pemahaman terhadap masalah yang disajikan. Sementara itu, peserta didik dengan kategori kemampuan matematisasi rendah tidak mampu menyelesaikan masalah secara mandiri dan tidak memenuhi seluruh indikator matematisasi. Oleh karena itu, penting bagi guru untuk memberikan perhatian khusus pada peserta didik dengan kemampuan matematika rendah dan mengintegrasikan lebih banyak masalah kontekstual dalam pembelajaran untuk membiasakan peserta didik dalam merencanakan langkah-langkah untuk menyelesaikan masalah. A mathematical problem is only regarded as a challenge if it cannot be solved directly and requires specific skills to find its solution. Therefore, problem-solving skills become a crucial competency that students must possess and develop. In problem-solving, individuals engage in acquiring and applying new knowledge or utilizing existing knowledge to discover new approaches or methods for addressing and resolving encountered problems. Solving mathematical problems involves a process known as mathematization, which is the process of transforming a phenomenon into mathematical form. The objective of this research is to elucidate the mathematization process undertaken by students when solving problems in the topic of algebra. This study adopts a descriptive research design with a qualitative approach. Three research subjects were chosen based on the analysis of mathematical ability tests conducted on 27 seventh-grade students in one of the junior high schools in Surabaya. Each selected subject represents a high, moderate, and low level of mathematical ability based on the results of the mathematical ability test. The data collection method employed in this research includes mathematization tests consisting of two essay questions on the topic of algebra, supplemented by interviews. The gathered data are then analyzed using the De Lange mathematization indicators. The research findings reveal that students with high mathematization abilities fulfill all horizontal mathematization indicators but fall short on one vertical indicator, which is the use of various mathematical representations to solve problems. Students with moderate abilities manage to meet all horizontal mathematization indicators but lack fulfillment in one vertical indicator, namely using diverse mathematical representations to solve problems. In the vertical mathematization stage, students with moderate abilities revise their work due to errors caused by a lack of understanding of the presented problem. Meanwhile, students with low mathematization abilities cannot independently solve problems and do not meet all mathematization indicators. Hence, it is crucial for teachers to pay special attention to students with low mathematical abilities and incorporate more contextual problems into learning to familiarize students with planning steps to solve problems. Abstract

This study is descriptive qualitative research that aims to describe the critical thinking of high self-confidence student on plane figure material. The research subject was eighth grade student consisting of one student with high self confidence. The research results show that student with high self-confidence are complex in evaluating problems. At the interpretation stage, student can explain problems, create illustrations, at the analysis stage student can identify each statements so they can find a solution. At the evaluation stage, student checks and assess the truth of the statement. At the inference stage student can show alternative answers and make conclusions. At the explanation stage, student can explain the steps and provide reasons based on the results obtained coherently. At the self regulation stage, student can review or explain the solutions that student have made both in writing and verbally and student are confident in the solutions that student have made.
