Abstract

Educational financing management plays an important role in improving the quality of education in primary schools. However, limited school operational funds often become an obstacle to achieving optimal educational outcomes. This study aims to analyze the efficiency of educational financing as a strategy for improving education quality at SDN Mekarjaya, Tasikmalaya Regency. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study design. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation studies involving the principal, teachers, and school financial documents. The findings indicate that the implementation of data-based planning, priority-scale budgeting, digital financial administration through the ARKAS application, and collaboration with various stakeholders contributed positively to improving school quality. Financing efficiency supported literacy programs, teacher competency development, learning effectiveness, and school management improvement. Although the school still faced challenges related to limited funding sources and administrative constraints, efficient financial management enabled the school to optimize available resources effectively. This study concludes that efficient, transparent, and accountable educational financing management can serve as a strategic instrument in supporting sustainable improvement in the quality of primary education.

Abstract

This study analyzes the representation of women in the national movement within high school history textbooks of the Merdeka Curriculum using the Discourse-Historical Approach (DHA) by Ruth Wodak. The findings reveal that women appear eight times less frequently than men, with their roles concentrated in education (30%), social organizations (25%), and health (20%), while political and military roles are minimal. Language analysis shows that active-strategic diction dominates descriptions of male figures (85%), whereas passive-emotional diction prevails for female figures (60-70%). The narrative structure applies the Great Men Theory, placing women as supplements to the main story. Visual representation marginalizes women through smaller photo sizes, peripheral placement, and domestic contexts. Ideological analysis confirms that patriarchal structures dominate all discourse production dimensions, with the state scoring 5/5 and women as subjects scoring only 1/5. The deconstruction score averages 2.2 out of 10, indicating a significant gap from the ideal inclusive representation. These findings demonstrate that despite the Merdeka Curriculum's inclusive aspirations, history textbooks continue to reproduce gender biases that marginalize women's historical contributions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) as a strategy for certification preparation in Islamic educational institutions. The research employed a qualitative approach using a library research method by reviewing relevant national and international journal articles, books, and scholarly documents related to quality management and educational certification. The collected data were analyzed using content analysis techniques to identify the concepts, principles, and implementation strategies of TQM in supporting certification readiness within Islamic educational institutions. The findings indicate that the implementation of TQM plays a strategic role in enhancing institutional readiness for certification through the strengthening of an internal quality assurance system that is structured, systematic, and sustainable. The application of TQM is based on the principles of customer focus, total involvement, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making. Implementation strategies include quality system standardization, human resource capacity building, regular internal evaluations and audits, and strengthening quality-oriented leadership. Consistent implementation of TQM not only supports successful certification processes but also fosters a sustainable quality culture that contributes to improving the competitiveness and overall quality of Islamic educational institutions. Therefore, TQM can serve as an effective framework for achieving continuous institutional development and maintaining educational excellence in a rapidly changing environment.

Abstract

Discussions regarding the origins of the universe have been a focus in philosophy and science, particularly regarding the relationship between the concept of God and modern cosmology. The concept of God as the prima causa is considered the core of classical cosmology, while modern cosmology posits that the universe has a beginning of time. This study aims to observe and analyze the comparison of the concept of God as the first cause by Thomas Aquinas and the Big Bang theory of modern cosmology. The method used is a literature study by examining various philosophical and scientific sources. The results of this study will emphasize the fundamental differences between Thomas Aquinas's approach to God as the first cause metaphysically and the approach of the theory of the origin of the universe (Big Bang theory) which focuses on the physical processes of the universe. Although there are different approaches, there are points of dialogue that open up space for integration between philosophy and modern cosmology. Abstrak. Diskusi berkaitan asal-usul alam semesta sudah menjadi sorotan dalam filsafat dan sains, khususnya mengenai hubungan antara konsep ketuhanan dan kosmologis modern. Konsep ketuhanan sebagai causa prima dinilai sebagai inti kosmolgis klasik sedangkan kosmologis modern mengangkat bahwa alam semesta ada permulaan waktu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat dan menganalisis perbandingan konsep Tuhan sebagai penyebab pertama oleh Thomas Aquinas dan teori Big Bang dari kosmologis modern. Metode yang digunakan ialah studi kepustakaan dengan mengkaji berbagai sumber filsafat dan sains. Hasil penelitian ini akan menekankan perbedaan fundamental berkaitan pendekatan Thomas Aquinas mengenai Tuhan sebagai penyebab pertama secara metafisik dengan pendekatan teori asal-usul alam semesta (teori Big Bang) yang berfokus pada proses fisik alam semesta. Walaupun ada pendekatan yang berbeda namun ada titik dialog yang membuka ruang integrasi antara filsafat dan kosmologi modern.

Abstract

This research investigates the concepts of heaven and hell within Nias culture and compares them with Catholic Church teachings, exploring their implications for Catholic Religious Education (PAK). Driven by the disparity in eschatological understanding between local culture and Catholic doctrine, and the crucial role of inculturation in faith life, a qualitative approach employing literature review was adopted. Data sources included Church documents, books, and relevant scholarly journals. Findings reveal that Nias culture perceives post-mortem existence not as a dualistic heaven or hell, but as a continuation in the spirit world, influenced by social status and adherence to tradition. In contrast, Catholic teachings define heaven and hell as outcomes of humanity's relationship with God. The inculturation process highlights a dialogue between cultural values and Christian faith, demonstrating that integrating local cultural values into PAK can enhance students' faith experience, making learning more relevant and transformative within their contexts.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the values contained in Dalihan Na Tolu through the perspective of Christian eschatology and examine its relevance to the mission of the Catholic Church in society. Dalihan Na Tolu as a socio-cultural system of the Batak community contains the values of respect, solidarity, responsibility, and brotherhood which play an important role in building social harmony. This research uses a qualitative method with a library research approach through the collection of data from various books, journals, Church documents, and scientific sources relevant to the research theme. The results of the study show that the values in Dalihan Na Tolu are related to eschatological expectations in the Christian faith, especially in building a life that reflects the love, brotherhood, and fellowship that God wills. In addition, Dalihan Na Tolu also has relevance in the Church's mission as a means of inculturation in the proclamation of the Gospel that is more contextual in the Batak community. Thus, local culture is not seen as an obstacle to faith, but rather as a means that can support the realization of the values of God's Kingdom in common life.

Abstract

In the education system, learning evaluation plays a fundamental role in measuring students' academic competency achievement. This study was designed to comprehensively examine the importance of high-quality learning instruments and the strategic role of assessment frameworks in ensuring the instrument's alignment with the formulated learning objectives. A qualitative, descriptive approach based on a literature review was used. The study's findings indicate that assessment frameworks serve as a framework or blueprint capable of validly and reliably mapping competencies, material coverage, and assessment weighting. Systematic implementation of assessment frameworks has been proven to increase the transparency and accountability of evaluations, while also supporting educators in integrating Islamic values ​​into the context of Islamic Religious Education (PAI). However, its implementation still faces obstacles, including limited teacher competency in developing Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS)-based questions, as well as constraints related to time and resource availability.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the integration of Generative AI in higher education through the perspective of the SAMR framework, which consists of Substitution, Augmentation, Modification, and Redefinition. The study used a narrative literature review method by analyzing 30 relevant academic publications published between 2023 and 2025. The findings reveal that the implementation of GenAI in higher education is still predominantly situated at the substitution and augmentation levels, with primary functions focused on improving efficiency, automation, and academic assistance. In contrast, transformative applications categorized under modification and redefinition remain relatively limited and are still in the early stages of development. This study concludes that although Generative AI possesses substantial potential to transform higher education practices, its current implementation has not yet reached an optimal transformative stage. Therefore, future educational practices should emphasize the development of more transformative implementation strategies that move beyond efficiency-oriented utilization toward fostering pedagogical innovation and meaningful learning transformation.

Abstract

This study examines the use of YouTube Streaming in large-class Sunday School as a medium for children’s faith education at Gereja Kalimantan Evangelis (GKE) Nazaret Palangka Raya. The background of this research is the growing integration of digital media into church education, which brings both opportunities and challenges for children’s spiritual formation. The objective of this study is to describe the implementation of YouTube-based Sunday School and to analyze its benefits and challenges related to children’s participation, understanding of faith, and learning concentration. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving Sunday School teachers and parents. The findings indicate that YouTube Streaming helps maintain continuity of faith education and enhances children’s interest through audio-visual content. However, children’s participation tends to be passive, their understanding of faith often remains at a cognitive level, and their learning concentration is relatively limited. The study concludes that YouTube Streaming functions effectively as a supportive medium but cannot replace direct interaction and relational aspects essential in children’s faith education

Abstract

This study analyzes the integration of turoth (classical Islamic scholarship) and digital media in moderate Islamic education through Gus Kautsar’s YouTube lectures. Amid concerns that religious digitalization may simplify Islamic teachings and reduce epistemological depth, this research examines whether turoth transmission in digital platforms maintains traditional scholarly structures. Using a qualitative approach with thematic content analysis, this study analyzes three classical text-based lecture videos published between January and March 2024. The findings show that turoth is represented through direct reading of Arabic classical texts, hierarchical argument structures (Qur’an–Hadith–Ulama), references to madhhab authorities, and contextualization of contemporary digital issues. The adaptation identified is pedagogical rather than epistemological, reflected in episodic segmentation, communicative translation, and contextual illustrations suited to Generation Z’s learning patterns. Furthermore, moderate Islamic education in the analyzed content emerges not through normative slogans, but through systematic engagement with classical texts. This study demonstrates that digital media can function as a medium for recontextualizing Islamic tradition while fostering moderate religious values among Generation Z in the digital era.
