Abstract

This study aims to determine: 1) The effect of teacher teaching performance on student achievement. 2) The influence of school climate on student achievement. 3) The effect of teacher teaching performance and school climate on student learning achievement. The research method used in the preparation of this scientific paper is descriptive. The unit of analysis is a school with a total of 171 respondents. The data were proceeded by using SPSS 17.0. The study results show that: 1) The teaching performance of teachers at MI KKM Cipaku is in high criteria, however, some indicators need to be improved, namely arranging seats according to the characteristics of students and subjects. Furthermore, the teacher's teaching performance has a positive effect on student achievement. This means that the higher the teacher's teaching performance, the higher the student's learning achievement. 2) The school climate at MI KKM Cipaku is in conducive criteria, however, some indicators need to be improved, namely monumental evidence of the results of the school's collaboration with the community. Furthermore, the school climate has a positive effect on student achievement. This means that the more conducive the school climate, the more students' learning achievement. 3) Student achievement at KKM Cipaku is in the achievement criteria, however, several indicators must be improved, namely youth scientific work, academic competitions, sports, arts, and scouts. Furthermore, teacher teaching performance and school climate have a positive effect on student learning achievement. This means that the higher the teacher's teaching performance and the more conducive the school climate, the higher the student's learning achievement.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis sumber daya yang mendukung terciptanya sekolah yang efektif baik yang berwujud materi dan yang tidak berwujud berdasarkan lima aspek, yaitu kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, pelaksanaan pembelajaran, monitoring dan evaluasi, hubungan sekolah dengan masyarakat, dan iklim yang kondusif. Desain penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Sumber data penelitian didapatkan melalui wawancara pada beberapa partisipan, antara lain kepala sekolah, guru, tenaga kependidikan, siswa, dan orang tua. Selain itu, untuk memperkuat data wawancara, juga dilakukan studi dokumentasi dan observasi pada MTs An-Noor Cibungbulang Bogor. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa upaya dalam menciptakan sekolah efektif khususnya di masa pandemi adalah dengan mengoptimalkan fungsi dan peran sumber daya yang dimiliki oleh sekolah baik yang berwujud maupun yang tidak berwujud. Sumber daya yang berwujud dapat dilihat dari penataan sarana yang ramah lingkungan sesuai standar protokol kesehatan dan penyediaan fasilitas ICT. Adapun sumber daya yang tidak berwujud dapat dilihat dari spirit kerja sama semua stakeholder, motivasi berprestasi, komunikasi yang efektif, hubungan emosional yang dekat antara guru dan siswa, pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam penggunaan ICT, serta kreatifitas dalam mendesain pembelajaran.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explore the management of the Teacher Working Group (KKG in Bahasa). It is important because through the KKG, teachers will gain teaching readiness, and the professional abilities of teachers and the quality of their performance. The research method used is descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations, and documentation studies with informants consisting of school supervisors, principals, teachers, and the head of the KKG. The results showed that: the management of KKG in Cluster 3, Manonjaya District, Tasikmalaya Regency was optimal. Meanwhile, the professionalism of teachers is also increased.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui efektivitas penerapan prinsip akuntabilitas pada pengelolaan sekolah dasar. Penerapan prinsip akuntabilitas dilakukan pada tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, evaluasi dan pengawasan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kombinasi (mixed methods) yang merupakan suatu metode penelitian yang menggabungkan antara penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode kualitatif. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan peneliti adalah angket, wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa 1). Penerapan prinsip perencanaan berdasarkan analisis kebutuhan, pemanfaatan anggaran berdasarkan skala prioritas, pengawasan dan evaluasi mendapatkan tingkat ketercapaian dengan kategori baik; 2). Pembuatan laporan pertanggungjawaban yang tepat waktu dan sesuai format yang lengkap mendapatkan tingkat ketercapaian dengan kategori sangat baik. Secara keseluruhan penerapan prinsip akuntabilitas pada pengelolaan sekolah dasar berada pada kategori baik

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the development of independent santri and its influence in building the character of Islamic students. The research method used is descriptive quantitative, which is carried out at the Arrisalah Ciamis Islamic Boarding School, with the research population being 40th-grade students. The results showed that the development of independent santri has a strong and positive influence on the development of the Islamic character of the santri. All aspects of the values contained in independent santri can be built through continuous coaching, thus helping in the development of Islamic character that reflects the nature of the Prophet Muhammad, namely Sidiq, Amanah, Tabligh, Fatonah (SATF). The conclusion is that the applicable values taught by Rasulullah SAW, namely the SATF, can be found by anyone who pursues Islamic teachings or moral education taught in Islam if the students are genuinely committed to following every pesantren fostered.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze and examine the influence of the principal's transformational leadership on teacher performance, the effect of teacher work culture on teacher performance, and the influence of principal transformational leadership and teacher work culture on teacher performance. This research method is descriptive quantitative. The data collection techniques are observation and questionnaires to 56 teachers/respondents. The data analysis technique is carried out through regression correlation analysis with statistical data processing of SPSS 17.0. The results show that the principal's transformational leadership in SMA Sariwangi District, Tasikmalaya Regency, is in the high criteria. The hypothesis testing results indicate that the principal's transformational leadership has a positive effect on teacher performance. The more effective the transformational leadership of the principal, the more teacher performance increases. Second, the work culture of teachers in SMA Sariwangi District, Tasikmalaya Regency is in high criteria. The results of hypothesis testing indicate that teacher work culture has a positive effect on teacher performance. The higher the work culture of the teacher, the higher the teacher's performance. Third, teachers' performance in SMA Sariwangi District, Tasikmalaya Regency, is generally at high criteria. The hypothesis testing results indicate that the principal's transformational leadership and teacher work culture positively influence teacher performance. It means that the more influential the principal's transformational leadership is and the higher its work culture, the more teacher performance increases.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the quality of learning at Bingkeng 01 Public Elementary School over the past five years, which has not been optimal, particularly in relation to the implementation of teachers' professional competence. Teachers' professional competence is considered crucial for ensuring mastery of subject matter and the expected quality of learning. Employing a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, this study collected data through interviews, observations, documentation studies, and triangulation. The findings revealed that the implementation of teachers' professional competence has been generally adequate; however, there is room for improvement in teachers' skills and motivation. Challenges in optimizing teachers' professional competence encompass additional responsibilities beyond teaching duties, insufficient support from teachers' professional organizations, and inadequate educational facilities. Efforts to overcome these obstacles involve balancing teachers' additional tasks, motivating support from school principals, involvement in teacher work groups, and providing relevant educational facilities. In conclusion, enhancing the implementation of teachers' professional competence requires a comprehensive strategy involving school principals, professional teacher organizations, and the provision of suitable educational facilities.

Abstract

Learning success is the goal of educational institutions. Teachers as executors in the teaching and learning process have direct experience and assessments of the influence of the quality of education on learning success. The teacher’s perspective on the effect of educational quality in determining learning success and the obstacles that occur during the process are important to know as a basis for institutional management. This study aims to explore the teacher’s subjective assessment of the influence of educational quality on learning success, and the obstacles. The online survey method was used in this study. Six questions consisting of questions with a Likert scale and open-ended qustions were given to participants. As many as 27 participants from an educational institution were involved in this study. Descriptive analysis was carried out in exploring the data obtained. The result showed that teachers generally judge that quality of education influences learning success. Although there ara teachers who judge not so. Obstacles in improving the quality of education in supporting the success of learning exist in the infrastructure and quality of employess. Institutional support and improvement of infrastructure are considered to be a solution to improve the quality of education to support the learning success. Future research can compare the teacher’s subjective assessment with an objective assessment based on standards to obtain an overview of the alignment of the results.

Abstract

A school principal can be defined as a teacher functional staff who are given the task of leading a school where the teaching and learning process is held and managing educational units. Administrator can be interpreted as the entire work process between two or more people who are tasked with taking care of matters related to administration. Meanwhile, school performance is essentially the productivity of the performance of all school residents and is an indicator of the quality of education, because the failure of school performance is part of the failure of the principal. This study aims to describe the role of the principal as an administrator in improving school performance which focuses on the principal's management functions. This research uses a qualitative approach. The method used is descriptive. The data collection technique is carried out in three ways, namely (1) interviews, (2) observations, and (3) documentation. The collected data is analyzed descriptively, through the flow of (1) data reduction, (2) data presentation, (3) conclusion drawn. The validity of the data is carried out by triangulation of respondents, methods and times. From the field findings, it was found as follows: (1) Educational management planning is carried out at the beginning of the school year through school work meeting activities attended by school steakholders, (2) The implementation of school activities is in accordance with the school program that has been prepared, (3) Evaluation/supervision is carried out periodically by the principal through a supervision program, (4) Follow-up is carried out based on the results of evaluation by carrying out improvements and standardization of activities schools that have been achieved. In the implementation of these four activities, the principal found several obstacles faced. However, solutions were also found to solve the problems or obstacles found, so that school activities ran smoothly.
