The instructional methods utilized included theoretical explanations presented through modules, practice questions, facilitated discussions, and quizzes for feedback. As a result of the training, students exhibited a marked improvement in their comprehension of promissory note accounting concepts and demonstrated active engagement in the learning process. The overall outcome of the program was deemed successful in providing students with a foundational understanding of promissory note accounting principles. It is recommended that similar training sessions be conducted in the future, targeting a broader audience and extending the duration of the program for enhanced educational impact.

Abstract

CSR is becoming a strategic approach in fostering long-term commitment with stakeholders, building trust, and addressing pressing socio-economic and environmental challenges. This study employs a quantitative research approach to examine CSR and stakeholder engagement among Nigerian firms listed on the NGX. The research focuses on 40 community leaders and 5 non-financial firms, drawing 42 respondents, which makes the population and sample size 82 respondents, which implies a purposive sampling technique. The population and sample size ensured a complete and statistically motivated analysis of CSR implementation and community participation. The study utilises the quantitative techniques, this technique allows the study to provide empirical insights into how firms participate with local communities in CSR decision-making and the overall efficiency of the participating strategies. The study findings revealed that there is low confidence in CSR, as the firms' openness about CSR strategies is still questionable to a large extent. Also, the study result indicates that community-specific resource allocation, firms' corporate transparency, and trust-building efforts must be strengthened to ensure that communities can play a meaningful role in CSR initiatives. The study concluded that CSR initiatives are widely implemented, but community involvement in decision-making as regard CSR remains inconsistent, with many firms adopting top-down approaches which tend to limit community CSR-specific needs and thereby create a lack of genuineness for stakeholder influence. It was recommended that community participation in CSR; therefore, firms should ensure communities are involved in their CSR initiatives, thereby showing transparency through proper communication.

Abstract

The Baduy Luar community in Lebak Regency, Banten, possesses unique cultural assets and significant potential in handicrafts, agriculture, and culture-based ecotourism. This Community Service Program (PKM) was conducted in Baduy Luar, Lebak Regency, Banten, with the aim of enhancing digital literacy and entrepreneurial capacity among the local community to support the promotion of cultural-based ecotourism. The Baduy Luar community possesses great potential in handicrafts, agriculture, and tourism, yet still faces limitations in digital promotion and tourism management. This program applied a participatory and contextual approach involving 70 participants, including youth, MSME actors, and ecotourism practitioners. The experiential learning method enabled participants to learn through direct practice, covering smartphone use, tourism documentation, and promotion via social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, WhatsApp Business, and Facebook. The results showed significant improvement in the community’s skills in utilizing digital technology for ecotourism promotion and cultural documentation. Furthermore, a positive synergy was established between universities and the local community, where academics acted as facilitators of digital knowledge while the community members served as the main actors in implementing digital-based promotion. This program contributed not only to enhancing technical skills but also to preserving cultural identity through digital documentation. In the long term, the program is expected to increase community income, sustain community-based tourism promotion, and strengthen local economic independence aligned with the cultural values of the Baduy Luar.

Abstract

Food product packaging plays a crucial role in determining market competitiveness, particularly for local food products in rural areas. Proper packaging not only preserves product quality but also significantly influences consumer purchasing decisions and product marketability. Despite the growing recognition of packaging importance, many small-scale food producers in Indonesia still face challenges in implementing standard packaging practices due to limited knowledge, resources, and access to modern packaging technology. This Community Service Program (PKM) was carried out by a team of lecturers from the Business Administration Department of the Malang State Polytechnic as an effort to increase the added value and competitiveness of the local food product “Duwet Polinema Catfish Nuggets” in Duwet Village, Tumpang District, Malang Regency. The main problems faced by the producer community are limited knowledge of product packaging and labeling, a lack of effective promotional strategies, and the unavailability of modern packaging equipment. The activities were carried out using a participatory approach through stages of socialization, technical training, promotional assistance, and the provision of vacuum sealer machine grants. The results of the activity showed an increase in the community's skills in packaging according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) principles, an improvement in product quality through hygienic and aesthetic packaging, and a strengthening of digital promotion capabilities. The synergy between academics and the community proved to be effective in increasing the added value and competitiveness of local products based on fishery potential, while strengthening the community's economic independence in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

The partner in this community services (PKM) is SMA Kristen Yusuf. This school was chosen because it has a conducive learning environment and good support from the school for academic activities outside of school hours. Every year, the Partner always screens and prepares outstanding students to participate in accounting competitions held by various national-level universities. Therefore, the problem currently being experienced by the Partner is that the Partner needs additional accounting materials for the purposes of the competition, including inventory valuation using the estimation method. The training activity was held face-to-face (onsite) on Thursday, September 25, 2025, from 3:05 PM to 4:40 PM WIB, attended by 4 students from grades 12 and 11. The training was orderly, focused, and interactive. Participants enthusiastically answered questions posed by the PKM team. Based on questionnaire results, most students expressed satisfaction with the training. They felt the material was delivered in an easy-to-understand manner, the classroom atmosphere was pleasant, and the instructor was able to explain concepts clearly. Several students also stated that the training made them more interested in learning accounting basics independently. There are three outputs from this training: Publication Articles, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), and Products/Prototypes.

Abstract

This Community Service Programme (PKM) was carried out by students from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Pasundan University, Bandung, at the Merpati RW 02 Health Post in Langensari Village, Tarogong Kaler Subdistrict, Garut Regency. This activity focused on educating the community through routine Integrated Health Service Post activities and providing supplementary food (PMT) to combat stunting in toddlers. The main problems identified included low nutritional intake among children, a lack of understanding among parents about health and nutrition, limited health facilities, and low community participation in immunisation. Through this PKM, balanced nutrition education was provided, and nutritious supplementary foods such as milk, whole wheat bread, and sausages were distributed. The implementation method consisted of three stages: preparation (observation and problem formulation), implementation (socialisation and PMT provision), and monitoring-evaluation. This activity successfully involved 43 toddlers and their parents. The results of the activity showed an increase in community understanding of the importance of preventing stunting and child nutrition. The outputs of the activity included increased community awareness of child health, activity reports, scientific articles for publication, and plans to register intellectual property rights. It is recommended that Integrated Health Service Post activities be strengthened through support from village government facilities, ongoing nutrition campaigns, and innovative educational activities to maintain high community interest.

Abstract

Limited marketing access remains a major obstacle for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Pering Village, Blahbatuh District, Gianyar Regency, Bali Province, leading to low sales volumes and profits. Although these enterprises have the potential to produce various superior products, their market reach is constrained, partly because digital technology is still used primarily for personal rather than business communication. To address this issue, a community service program was implemented that included digital marketing training, product photography assistance, the development of compelling promotional narratives, and support in creating business accounts on appropriate digital platforms. The program has enabled MSME actors to expand their marketing access and become more prepared to compete in the digital marketplace, thereby supporting increased sales performance and business growth. Participants improved their digital marketing skills, creating better product photos and promotions. They applied this knowledge by setting up Google Business profiles and social media accounts, expanding their online presence.
