Abstract

Leadership plays a central role in determining the success of an organization, both in terms of productivity and employee relations. However, not all leadership styles have positive effects. Toxic leadership is a type of disruptive leadership that causes emotional distress, reduces work motivation, and causes organizational dysfunction. This study aims to uncover research trends, collaboration patterns between authors and institutions, and important issues established over the last ten years by conducting a bibliographic analysis of recent studies on toxic leadership. This research approach processes data from Google Scholar according to the 2020–2025 requirements using VosViewer and Publish or Perish software. According to the study’s findings, counterproductive employee behaviour, high sales, and fewer organisational calls are all significantly impacted by toxic leadership. In order to establish a more wholesome and effective workplace, this study highlights how crucial it is for businesses to identify early toxic leadership tendencies and put ethical and emotional intelligence-based preventative measures into place.

Abstract

This study examines strategies to improve the competitiveness of sustainable palm oil commodities in Indonesia through a qualitative analysis involving five key informants: a government policymaker, an industry association representative, a sustainability expert from an NGO, an academic researcher, and a smallholder farmer representative. Using in-depth interviews and thematic analysis, the research identifies six central themes influencing competitiveness: strengthening certification and standards, enhancing supply chain transparency, promoting technology and innovation, reforming policies and institutions, fostering stakeholder collaboration with smallholder inclusivity, and pursuing market diversification with value addition. The findings reveal that while certification and compliance with sustainability requirements are essential for international market access, challenges remain in supporting smallholders, improving institutional coordination, and adopting innovative technologies. The study concludes that sustainability should not be viewed merely as a compliance obligation but as a strategic driver of competitiveness. Integrating sustainability principles into policies, practices, and market strategies can position Indonesia as a global leader in sustainable palm oil production.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) practices on Organizational Citizenship Behavior for the Environment (OCBE) in Indonesia. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 130 employees across various industries through a structured questionnaire measured on a five-point Likert scale. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS 3). Results show that GHRM significantly and positively influences OCBE, with an explained variance (R²) of 42%. Among the dimensions of GHRM, green training and green rewards emerged as the strongest predictors of OCBE, while green recruitment and green performance appraisal also demonstrated significant but slightly weaker effects. These findings highlight the strategic role of HRM in fostering voluntary pro-environmental behaviors among employees, particularly in the Indonesian cultural context where collectivist values support sustainability. The study contributes to the literature by validating the GHRM–OCBE relationship in a developing country and by identifying the relative importance of different HR practices. Practically, organizations are encouraged to design HR strategies that integrate sustainability into training, rewards, recruitment, and performance management systems to strengthen both environmental performance and employee engagement.

Abstract

This study examines green finance management as a strategic approach to addressing sustainable finance challenges in Indonesia. As the country faces pressing environmental and social issues, financial institutions are under increasing pressure to align their practices with sustainability principles. Despite policy initiatives such as the OJK Sustainable Finance Roadmap, challenges remain in regulatory enforcement, institutional capacity, and public awareness. Using a qualitative design, data were collected through in-depth interviews with three key informants representing a financial institution, a regulatory body, and a sustainability practitioner. The findings highlight five central themes: the importance of strengthening regulatory frameworks, enhancing institutional capacity, promoting stakeholder collaboration, overcoming awareness and cultural barriers, and fostering green financial innovation. These results suggest that green finance management serves as both a policy instrument and a practical tool for aligning economic growth with environmental protection. The study contributes to the literature on sustainable finance in Indonesia and offers practical insights for policymakers, financial institutions, and stakeholders in advancing sustainability through finance.

Abstract

This study examines consumer responses to sustainable product labels (eco-labels) and their influence on purchasing decisions in Indonesia. Using a quantitative research design, data were collected from 150 respondents through a structured questionnaire with a 1–5 Likert scale. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS 3) to evaluate both the measurement and structural models. Results indicate that eco-label perception has a significant positive effect on consumer trust and purchasing decisions. Furthermore, consumer trust plays a mediating role, strengthening the relationship between eco-label perception and purchase behavior. Environmental awareness also emerged as a strong determinant of purchasing decisions, showing that consumers who are more environmentally conscious are more responsive to eco-labels. The model demonstrated substantial explanatory power (R² = 0.62) for purchasing decisions, confirming the importance of eco-labels, trust, and awareness in shaping sustainable consumer behavior in Indonesia. These findings provide practical implications for businesses and policymakers in promoting eco-labeled products and fostering sustainable consumption.

Abstract

This study aims to map the intellectual structure and global evolution of research on Entrepreneurial Orientation (EO) using a bibliometric analysis approach. Drawing data from the Scopus database, a total of peer-reviewed journal articles were analyzed to uncover trends, influential authors, institutional collaborations, and thematic clusters in EO literature. Using VOSviewer software, co-authorship networks, keyword co-occurrences, and temporal visualizations were generated to provide insight into the development of the field. The results reveal that EO remains a core construct in entrepreneurship research, often linked with themes such as innovation, firm performance, strategic orientation, and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). More recent trends indicate a shift toward sustainability, social entrepreneurship, and academic entrepreneurship, highlighting EO’s growing interdisciplinary appeal. The study contributes by consolidating fragmented knowledge, identifying emerging areas for inquiry, and offering a roadmap for future research and policy development. Despite its limitations, the findings provide valuable theoretical and practical guidance for scholars, educators, entrepreneurs, and policymakers navigating the evolving entrepreneurial landscape.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of work-life balance and work environment on employee performance with job satisfaction as an intermediary variable. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 180 employees through a structured questionnaire measured on a five-point Likert scale. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS 3). The results reveal that work-life balance and work environment both have significant positive effects on job satisfaction, with the work environment showing the stronger influence. Job satisfaction, in turn, has a very strong positive effect on employee performance. Mediation analysis confirms that job satisfaction fully mediates the effect of work environment on performance and partially mediates the effect of work-life balance on performance. These findings suggest that organizational performance can be improved by creating a supportive work environment and promoting work-life balance, with job satisfaction serving as the key mechanism that drives employee productivity.
