Abstract

The use of gamification learning methods in Madrasah Aliyah can enhance student motivation and engagement in the learning process, allowing them to be more active and enthusiastic in achieving their academic goals. By applying gamification elements, teachers can create a more interactive and enjoyable learning environment, thereby motivating students to learn and achieve better academic performance. There are two issues that are the focus of the research, first, how is the implementation of the gamification method in increasing student learning motivation in the subject of Al-Qur'an Hadith at Madrasah Aliyah Al-Falah Payuddan Karangsokon Guluk-Guluk Sumenep? Second, what are the supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of the gamification method in increasing student motivation in the subject of Al-Qur'an Hadith at Madrasah Aliyah Al-Falah Payuddan Karangsokon Guluk-Guluk Sumenep? The research approach used in this study is a qualitative approach, where the research results obtained are in the form of descriptive data. The data collection techniques used by the researcher are thru observation, interviews, and documentation. The data sources in this study are the school principal, the Qur'an and Hadith subject teachers, and the students. The data analysis was conducted by reducing the data, presenting the data, and verifying the obtained data. The research findings indicate that, first, it is effective because after implementing the gamification method during lessons, more and more students gradually understand the Quran and Hadith. Secondly, the supporting factor for the implementation of gamification is the attention of parents toward their children's education, while the hindering factors are the lack of school facilities that support the application of gamification and the lack of parental attention toward their children's education. The implication of this research is that this gamification method can serve as a reference for adjusting teaching methods in the education sector, in addition to being a reference for Islamic education teachers across all levels and stages of education.

Abstract

There are two main issues being studied in this research, the first being the low academic performance of students, and the second being the lack of interest in learning and understanding among ninth-grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Palengaan. The problem formulation in this research is: 1.) How is the implementation of the Arias model in improving student learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education at SMP Negeri 2 Palengaan? 2.) What are the inhibiting and supporting factors in the implementation of the ARIAS learning model in improving student learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education at State Junior High School 2 Palengaan? The type of research in this study uses a qualitative approach based on the research results obtained in the form of descriptive data. The data collection procedures used are observation, interviews, and documentation, with the data sources for this research being the school principal, PAI subject teachers, and students. Meanwhile, the data analysis in this study uses data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. From the research results obtained, it shows that the ARIAS learning model is quite effective in improving student learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education subjects in the 9th grade at SMP Negeri 2 Palengaan. Proven by supporting factors, namely students feel enthusiastic, comfortable, happy, not easily bored, and there is an improvement in learning outcomes, which is also supported by the availability of adequate facilities and learning media at SMP Negeri 2 Palengaan. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factor is the lack of time allocation for the subject of Islamic Religious Education provided by the curriculum. The researcher hopes that the ARIAS learning model can be considered as one of the models in the teaching and learning process at SMP Negeri 2 Palengaan, and can enhance students' active involvement in the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Application of the Authentic Learning Model in Improving Fiqh Learning Achievement at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-Hasan Putri, Srambah Village, Proppo District, Pamekasan Regency. This research is motivated by the low academic performance of students in the subject of Fiqh, which is caused by a passive learning approach, teacher-centered methods, and a lack of real learning experiences. This condition makes students less motivated, less active, and have difficulty understanding the connection between the subject matter and everyday life. This model is expected to create an active, contextual, enjoyable, and meaningful learning atmosphere, thereby improving students' academic performance. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. Data collection techniques were carried out thru observation, interviews, and documentation involving the head of the madrasa, Fiqh subject teachers, and students as the main data sources. Data analysis was conducted thru the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research results show that the implementation of the Authentic Learning model in Fiqh education can improve students' performance, participation, and understanding. Students appear more active, enthusiastic, and able to relate the material to real-life experiences in their daily lives. Improvements are also seen in the students' learning evaluation results after this teaching model was implemented. Supporting factors for success include institutional support, facilities and infrastructure, teacher guidance and mentoring, teacher mastery of the material, and student engagement in the learning process. As for the inhibiting factors, they include the low level of student discipline, limited learning time, differences in students' ability to understand the material contextually, and the shyness of some students in expressing their opinions in class.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the principal's leadership strategies in developing students' religious character and discipline at SMK Yapis Santong. This study is motivated by a unique school policy that requires students to arrive at 06.15 AM to participate in a 60-minute morning Imtaq (Faith and Piety) program. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews with the principal, teachers, and students, as well as participatory observation and documentation. The results indicate that the principal's leadership strategy is implemented through three integrated stages: (1) Environmental engineering by setting early arrival times to encourage students to wake up early and perform Subuh prayers; (2) Spiritual strengthening through the collective recitation of the Al-Qur'an and Asmaul Husna; and (3) Soft skill development through public speaking practice (muhadharah). The findings reveal that this consistent leadership approach effectively fosters student discipline and mental readiness before formal classes begin at 07.15 AM. This study concludes that the principal's commitment to being a role model is the key factor in the successful internalisation of religious values and work ethics in a vocational school environment.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low level of student independence at SMP Pasundan 3 Bandung, prompting the use of the Non-Directive Learning model based on the Merdeka Curriculum as an alternative solution to this problem. The main objective is to examine the effectiveness of the Non-Directive Learning model in dance education to enhance student independence. A quantitative approach was used in this study, employing a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest model. The study involved 41 students from class VIII A (21 boys and 20 girls). Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis included tests of instrument validity and reliability, descriptive statistics, normality testing, and hypothesis testing (t-test). The results indicate that the Non-Directive Learning model had a positive impact on improving student independence. The hypothesis test (paired sample t-test) yielded a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the pretest (mean score: 66) and posttest (mean score: 80). This improvement confirms that the implementation of the Non-Directive Learning model effectively enhances student independence.

Abstract

This article is a development study that explains the development of interactive PowerPoint media based on deep learning assisted by Canva for economic activity materials in Indonesia for fifth-grade. The background for this study stems from the minimal use of technology-based learning media in schools, which has resulted in low student participation in learning. Teachers often rely solely on textbooks and blackboards without utilizing other more engaging media. To address this issue, the researcher developed an interactive PowerPoint presentation based on deep learning with the assistance of Canva. An interactive PowerPoint presentation is an educational medium that supports engaging learning activities, involving interaction between teachers and students as users, thereby helping students become enthusiastic about understanding the material. Deep learning is a learning approach that emphasizes in-depth understanding of concepts and mastery of competencies. Students are encouraged to actively engage in the learning process. The researcher's objective in developing interactive PowerPoint media based on deep learning is to determine the validity and attractiveness of interactive PowerPoint media. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The expert validation results for the media obtained 95%, subject matter experts 97.5%, teacher appeal 95%, and student appeal results.
