Abstract

This community service activity was carried out by students of STT Kadesi Bogor at GPIA Sidoasri, Malang, East Java, on January 21–22, 2026. The program aims to empower church women through home industry-based bread-making training as a concrete effort to improve family economic conditions. A total of 15 participants attended the two-day training, which included introductions to raw materials, dough composition, processing techniques, dough shaping, filling variations, and baking processes. On the second day, all participants successfully practiced independently in producing soft and high-quality bread. This training also provided an understanding of production cost calculation and profit potential, where with an initial capital of IDR 86,500, participants were able to produce 30 pieces of bread with an estimated profit margin of around 65%. After the training, participants began applying their skills by marketing the bread during Sunday church services, with average sales reaching 100 pieces per week. The results show that church-based skills training integrated with biblical values is effective in equipping church women with entrepreneurial abilities. In addition, the program contributes to improving sustainable family economic independence without changing the original meaning of the activity.

Abstract

The training on liquid hand soap making was conducted at Gereja Pantekosta Isa Almasih (GPIA) Keluarga Allah, Sidoasri, Malang, East Java. This community service was motivated by the increasing need for hand soap as a hygiene product, especially during and after the COVID- 19 pandemic. The program was carried out in three stages: an interview and observation phase in November, followed by a two-day training session on January 21–22, 2026, and a follow-up evaluation in March and April 2026. A total of ten participants took part, consisting of six women and four youth. During the training, participants learned about raw materials, composition, production methods, packaging, and product marketing. The cost of raw materials was approximately Rp 25,000 per liter, with a potential profit margin of 40%. Participants began marketing their products to church members, nearby stalls, and through social media platforms such as TikTok and WhatsApp. However, within two months only 20 bottles had been sold, indicating that further education on the distinctiveness of liquid soap compared to conventional detergent is needed. This training was grounded in James 2:17, which affirms that faith without action is dead, reflecting the church's calling to empower its congregation not only through preaching but through practical life skills.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a crucial role in the national economy, yet they often face challenges in maintaining business continuity (sustainability) in the digital era. This Community Service (PKM) program aims to provide digital marketing assistance to improve the competitiveness and sustainability of MSMEs. The methods used include needs analysis, interactive training (workshops), intensive coaching, and regular evaluations. The results of the program demonstrate a significant increase in partners' understanding of digital literacy, optimization of social media and marketplace usage, and increased sales turnover. This assistance has proven effective in building a sustainable business foundation through efficient marketing costs and expanding market reach, leading to a more stable market. Furthermore, MSMEs have demonstrated improved ability to create more engaging and professional promotional content and are beginning to manage their digital marketing strategies independently. This demonstrates that digital transformation impacts not only marketing but also the managerial capacity of entrepreneurs. Therefore, this mentoring program makes a real contribution to strengthening the sustainability of MSME businesses amidst increasingly competitive business conditions.

Abstract

Indonesian government is implementing the Free Nutritional Meal Program (MBG) in all schools in Indonesia. Washing hands with soap and running water (CTPS) is one of the keys to the success of the MBG program. Eating without clean hands can cause germs to enter, causing diseases such as diarrhea, digestive disorders and reducing the nutritional benefits of food, can even cause poisoning, so that CTPS before eating is an absolute requirement for health and the sustainability of the program. The objective of this activity is to educate students on proper handwashing with soap and running water (CTPS) as well as clean and healthy living practices (PHBS) at school, and to ensure the availability of adequate facilities and infrastructure for handwashing with soap and running water (CTPS) at SDN 7 Gedong Tataan, Pesawaran Regency, Lampung Province. The activity method uses a combination of counseling, demonstrations and direct practice. The results of this activity are increased knowledge among all students about handwashing with soap and running water (CTPS) and clean and healthy living behaviors (PHBS) at school as well as the installation of 3 (three) units of handwashing facilities at SDN 7 Gedong Tataan, Pesawaran Regency, Lampung Province. The students are enthusiastic and eager to practice directly the steps of handwashing with soap and running water (CTPS) and using the installed CTPS facilities. Overall, this activity had a positive impact on students of SDN 7 Gedong Tataan, Pesawaran Regency, Lampung Province.

Abstract

One of the main problems in catfish farming is that feed costs account for up to 70% of total expenses. Feeding is often uncontrolled—for example, when employees are sick, on sick leave, or on holiday. This can result in catfish deaths. In addition, delays or irregularities in the feeding schedule can affect the growth and productivity of catfish. In this paper, this problem is addressed through the use of IoT technology. IoT enables remote control of catfish feeding using a microcontroller, an Internet shield, and servo motors. The developed system is designed to help catfish farmers manage feeding in a more regular and scheduled manner. The results of this study include a catfish feeding device and a website that can be used to control catfish feeding remotely. The feeding device is integrated with the website, which can regulate the amount and timing of feed to be provided to the catfish. Test results show that this IoT-based feeding system makes the amount and timing of feed distribution more efficient, thereby helping to improve the effectiveness of catfish farming management and reduce the risk of errors in the feeding process.

Abstract

Low medication literacy among adolescents may increase the risk of irrational drug use and inappropriate self-medication practices. Adolescents often have access to medicines at home but lack adequate knowledge regarding drug classifications and safe medication use. This community service program aimed to improve medication literacy among students through interactive education on drug classifications at MTs Al-Hikmah Talang Kelapa. The activity involved 24 students using a one-group pretest–posttest design. Educational interventions were conducted through PowerPoint presentations, educational leaflets, direct demonstrations of medicine packaging, interactive discussions, and question-and-answer sessions. Students’ knowledge was evaluated using pre- and post-test questionnaires on drug classifications and safe medication use. The results demonstrated an increase in the mean score from approximately 51 before the intervention to 86 after the intervention, indicating a substantial improvement in students’ understanding of over-the-counter, limited over-the-counter, and prescription drugs. Students also showed increased participation and improved ability to identify medicine logos and distinguish drug categories appropriately. Interactive educational methods supported by visual media and practical demonstrations proved effective in strengthening pharmaceutical literacy among adolescents. This activity is expected to support the development of safe and rational medication practices from an early age.

Abstract

Pre-conception health planning is essential for maternal and child health quality, yet public awareness in rural areas remains low. This community service aims to establish and optimize the role of the "Healthy Planning Cadre" as driving agents for pre-conception education in Olat Rarang Hamlet, Labuhan Village, Sumbawa. Methods: The program used a Participatory Community Development approach involving 10 local health cadres. The intervention consisted of three phases: coordination & preparation, interactive educational training (covering nutrition, health screening, and mental readiness), and evaluation via pre-test and post-test. Results: The training successfully produced 10 certified "Healthy Planning Cadres" equipped with pre-conception counseling skills. Evaluation data showed a significant increase in cadres' knowledge, with the average score rising from 62.5 (pre-test) to 88.0 (post-test), indicating an improvement of 25.5 points. Cadres also demonstrated proper counseling techniques during roleplay simulations. Conclusion: Empowering grassroots health cadres through culturally close approaches is effective in improving maternal health promotion sustainability. Regular monitoring from local primary health centers is recommended to maintain the cadres' performance in reducing stunting and pregnancy complications.

Abstract

The enhancement of teachers' digital competence is a strategic issue directly impacting the success of digital transformation in schools. The partner of this community service, SMAN 17 Lamuru in Bone Regency, faced constraints regarding limited digital literacy and technostress in producing independent interactive teaching materials. This program aimed to improve teachers' digital competence in developing electronic modules (e-modules) through a structured mentoring program. The execution method utilized a Blended Workshop and Coaching model based on a participatory learning approach involving 30 subject teachers. The offline intervention was conducted over two days through a combination of lecturing, live demonstration, guided practice, and Focus Group Discussions (FGD), followed by three weeks of independent mentoring. Evaluation instruments included performance observation sheets, satisfaction questionnaires, and capability tests using a 1–100 assessment scale. Data were analyzed using the parametric paired samples t-test. The statistical results indicated a highly significant improvement, where the teachers' mean score surged from 55.50 during the pretest to 83.50 in the posttest session, yielding a t-value of 34.293 with a coefficient of Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000 < 0.05. The guided participatory approach proved effective in reducing the digital divide classically and fostering teachers' self-efficacy. The program concludes that this mentoring successfully produced valid subject e-modules ready to be implemented to support a student-centered learning ecosystem.

Abstract

Majelis taklim is one of the non-formal Islamic educational institutions that has a strategic role in increasing religious understanding, building social solidarity, and strengthening community capacity. However, in its implementation, many taklim assemblies still face various obstacles in the aspect of organizational governance, such as the lack of a clear division of duties, unorganized administration, and weak work program planning. This Community Service (PkM) activity aims to increase the capacity of the management of the Attaqwa Taklim Council of Korem Village, North Biak District, Biak Numfor Regency in effective and sustainable organizational management. The methods used include counseling, training, and participatory discussion. The activity was carried out by involving the management and members of the taklim council as the main participants. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' understanding of the principles of organizational governance, the preparation of a clearer organizational structure, the division of tasks and management functions, and the preparation of annual work programs. In addition, participants also acquire basic skills in organizational administration and management of religious activities. This activity made a positive contribution to the institutional strengthening of the Attaqwa Taklim Council as a forum for the development of the people in Korem Village. Therefore, continuous assistance is needed to ensure the implementation of good organizational governance in supporting the sustainability of the taklim assembly program.
