Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Discovery Learning in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning and examine its contribution to improving student engagement, understanding, and character development. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, while data analysis involved data condensation, data display, and conclusion verification. The findings reveal that Discovery Learning was implemented through systematic stages, including stimulation, problem identification, data collection, data processing, verification, and generalization. The implementation encouraged students to actively participate, develop independent learning skills, improve conceptual understanding, and strengthen Islamic character values such as responsibility, cooperation, confidence, and discipline. The study also identifies several challenges, including limited learning time, differences in student abilities, and the need for continuous teacher development. The implication of this research highlights that Discovery Learning can serve as an effective alternative strategy for creating meaningful, student-centered, and contextual PAI learning. This study contributes to strengthening innovative practices in Islamic education by demonstrating the integration of cognitive development, active learning experiences, and character formation.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of digital competence and learning regulation on digital teaching readiness through digital media utilization among preservice teachers in an Islamic teacher education program. A quantitative explanatory design was employed, involving 50 undergraduate students selected through a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected using closed-ended Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed with Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings indicate that digital competence and learning regulation positively and significantly influence digital media utilization. Digital competence also has a positive and significant direct effect on digital teaching readiness, whereas learning regulation does not show a significant direct effect. Furthermore, digital media utilization significantly enhances digital teaching readiness but does not significantly mediate the relationships between digital competence, learning regulation, and digital teaching readiness. The structural model explains 26.6% of the variance in digital media utilization and 43.2% of the variance in digital teaching readiness. These findings imply that teacher education programs should prioritize strengthening students’ digital competence and expanding meaningful digital media utilization to better prepare future teachers for effective digital teaching in contemporary educational environments.

Abstract

This study examined the implementation and industry alignment of the Electrical Power Installation Engineering curriculum and its translation into competencies. Vocational education must respond to technological change, workplace standards, and demands for technical and transversal skills. However, curriculum relevance is often constrained by outdated equipment, uneven teacher competence, and limited industry engagement. This qualitative study used an embedded single-case design. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis, then examined using reflexive thematic analysis and triangulation. Findings showed that curriculum implementation followed a cycle of planning, synchronization, implementation, evaluation, and improvement. Industry partners contributed to competency identification, placements, internships, Teaching Factory activities, safety procedures, and assessment. Teaching Factory strengthened links between theory and authentic work practices. Supporting factors included competent teachers, school support, partnerships, and facilities. Key barriers were limited industry-standard equipment, uneven technological competence, unfavourable student-to-equipment ratios, and restricted partnerships. Curriculum implementation improved technical skills, discipline, teamwork, communication, safety awareness, adaptability, and job readiness. These findings imply that vocational curriculum reform must integrate curriculum, infrastructure, teachers, and industry collaboration. They provide a practical framework for evidence-based curriculum improvement.

Abstract

Researcher reflexivity has become an important principle within the post-positivist paradigm because it enhances transparency, integrity, and the quality of scientific inquiry. This study aims to analyze and synthesize the development of research on researcher reflexivity within the post-positivist paradigm, focusing on its conceptual development, implementation practices, contributions to research quality, and challenges in its application. This study employed a qualitative research design using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method based on the PRISMA 2020 guidelines. Relevant literature published between 2022 and 2026 was identified, selected, and analyzed through a thematic synthesis approach to explore patterns and emerging themes related to researcher reflexivity. The findings indicate that reflexivity has developed beyond a personal reflective process into a methodological strategy that strengthens research trustworthiness through credibility, dependability, confirmability, and transferability. The study implies that integrating reflexivity practices systematically can support more transparent, accountable, and rigorous research processes. Furthermore, this synthesis provides a conceptual foundation for researchers and scholars to develop improved methodological frameworks that recognize the researcher’s role in knowledge construction.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how the Kulliyatul Mu'allimin Al-Islamiyah (KMI) curriculum shapes the habitus of Tahfidz students within an integrated Islamic boarding school education system. A qualitative case study approach was employed to explore the curriculum implementation in its natural context. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with school leaders, curriculum coordinators, teachers, and students, as well as document analysis. The data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model and interpreted through Pierre Bourdieu’s theory of habitus, field, and capital. The findings indicate that the KMI curriculum fosters students’ habitus through three interconnected mechanisms: the development of discipline through structured daily routines and worship practices, the cultivation of academic-Tahfidz competence through the integration of Qur’anic memorization and multilingual learning, and the strengthening of independence and leadership through student organizational activities. Furthermore, the curriculum facilitates the transformation of spiritual capital into symbolic and social capital, reinforcing sustainable character formation. These findings imply that an integrated curriculum grounded in continuous habituation can serve as an effective model for cultivating students’ religious character, leadership capacity, and holistic educational development in Islamic boarding school settings.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of educational management functions in strengthening the link and match approach between vocational education and the needs of business and industry. A qualitative library research method was employed using data collected from scholarly journal articles, books, government policy documents, regulations on vocational education, and other relevant studies. Data were gathered through documentation and literature review and analyzed using content analysis, including data reduction, data presentation, interpretation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the successful implementation of the link and match approach depends on the effective application of educational management functions. Planning is reflected in curriculum alignment with industry needs; organizing is realized through strengthening partnerships with business and industry; implementation is carried out through practice-based learning and the involvement of industry practitioners; while controlling is conducted through learning evaluation, tracer studies, and industry feedback. The study implies that strengthening educational management practices can improve the relevance of vocational education, enhance graduate competencies, and reduce the gap between educational outcomes and labor market demands.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze strategies for building a school brand image to attract prospective students in the context of Islamic secondary education. A qualitative case study approach was employed to gain an in-depth understanding of institutional branding practices. Data were collected through observations, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, and were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña. The analysis was guided by Keller’s Brand Image theory, encompassing the dimensions of strength, favorability, and uniqueness of brand associations. The findings indicate that a positive brand image is developed through consistent academic and non-academic achievements, distinctive religious and character-building programs, qualified teachers, effective use of social media, and support from alumni and the surrounding community. Nevertheless, the institution continues to face challenges, including intense competition among schools, limited effectiveness of digital promotional strategies, insufficient alumni engagement, and persistent public perceptions regarding madrasah education. These findings imply that strengthening strategic branding, expanding digital communication, and fostering sustainable stakeholder collaboration are essential for enhancing institutional competitiveness and increasing prospective students’ enrollment interest in an increasingly competitive educational environment.

Abstract

This study examines the partial and simultaneous effects of autocratic leadership and organizational culture on employee turnover intention. A quantitative descriptive-verificative approach was employed using a survey method. Data were collected from 100 permanent employees selected through simple random sampling from a population of 133 employees. A five-point Likert scale questionnaire was used, and the data were analyzed using validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, t-tests, and an F-test. The results indicate that autocratic leadership has a positive and significant effect on turnover intention (B = 0.185; t = 3.028; p = 0.003). Organizational culture also has a positive and significant effect on turnover intention (B = 0.211; t = 3.150; p = 0.002). Both variables simultaneously have a significant effect on turnover intention (F = 17.415; p < 0.001) and explain 26.4% of its variance. These findings suggest that organizations should promote participative leadership, strengthen supervisor–employee communication, and foster a supportive organizational culture through fair rewards, career development opportunities, and collaborative work practices to reduce employees’ intention to leave.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze pesantren management practices in developing Islamic Religious Education (PAI) and to formulate an integrative management model that enhances the effectiveness and sustainability of PAI implementation in Islamic boarding schools. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observations, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis. The collected data were analyzed using an interactive analysis model consisting of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The findings indicate that effective pesantren management is developed through the integration of planning, organizing, implementation, and supervision, supported by curriculum integration, teacher development, student character formation, religious habituation, and educational activities. PAI implementation extends beyond classroom instruction by facilitating the internalization of Islamic values, including faith, worship, morality, discipline, responsibility, and leadership. This study proposes an Integrative Management Model for Islamic Boarding Schools in the Development of Islamic Religious Education, which provides a conceptual and practical framework for strengthening pesantren governance and improving the quality of Islamic Religious Education.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance on stock investment risk and to investigate the moderating role of market capitalization in the relationship between ESG performance and stock investment risk. Panel data regression analysis was employed using the Common Effect Model (CEM), Fixed Effect Model (FEM), and Random Effect Model (REM). Model selection was conducted through the Chow, Hausman, and Lagrange Multiplier tests, with the Random Effect Model identified as the most appropriate estimation model. The findings reveal that overall ESG performance has no significant effect on stock investment risk. Likewise, the interaction between ESG performance and market capitalization does not significantly moderate the relationship. Further analysis of ESG dimensions shows that the Environmental dimension has a negative and statistically significant effect on stock investment risk at the 10% significance level, while the Social and Governance dimensions do not exhibit significant effects. These findings imply that aggregate ESG performance has not yet become a strong determinant of stock investment risk, although environmental performance may contribute to reducing investment risk. The results provide insights for investors and corporate managers regarding the importance of strengthening environmental practices as part of long-term risk management strategies.
