Abstract

This study explores the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar–Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) curriculum in the Arabic Language Education Program at Universitas Islam Negeri Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten. The MBKM policy, introduced by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of Indonesia, aims to strengthen graduate employability and institutional adaptability in the digital era. A qualitative case study design was employed. Participants were selected using purposive sampling targeting key academic stakeholders, followed by snowball sampling to identify additional informants. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, non-participant observations, and document analysis, and analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model. Trustworthiness was ensured through triangulation and member checking. The findings reveal five core implementation strategies: leadership commitment, stakeholder engagement, MBKM-oriented curriculum redesign, external partnerships, and internal quality assurance. The process unfolded in three phases: planning, execution, and monitoring. The study demonstrates that coherent governance and collaborative networks are critical enablers of MBKM adoption. These findings provide practical insights for Islamic higher education institutions implementing reforms based on outcome-based and experiential learning.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of live streamer characteristics and product characteristics on purchase intention, with emotional trust serving as a mediating variable in the context of live streaming commerce for religious products. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey method involving 201 respondents who had previously watched religious product live streaming sessions on a short-video commerce platform. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The findings reveal that live streamer characteristics—comprising professionalism, attractiveness, and interactivity—have a positive and significant effect on both emotional trust and purchase intention. Similarly, product characteristics, including perceived quality, price fairness, and practicality, significantly influence emotional trust and purchase intention. Emotional trust was found to play a significant mediating role in strengthening the relationship between both live streamer characteristics and product characteristics and consumers’ purchase intention. These results imply that in emotionally sensitive product contexts, consumers’ purchase decisions are shaped not only by functional and economic considerations but also by the development of emotional trust fostered through credible and interactive live streaming experiences. This study contributes to the social commerce literature by extending the understanding of emotional trust mechanisms in live streaming environments involving high emotional and religious sensitivity products.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of a zoning-based school admission policy and its implications for institutional adaptation, leadership practices, and organizational management in public secondary education. The research employed a qualitative case study design. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with school leaders, teachers, and administrative staff, complemented by observations and document analysis. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis, including coding, categorization, and synthesis to identify patterns of institutional adaptation. The findings reveal three major themes: (1) institutional adaptation through organizational restructuring and strategic leadership, (2) instructional adjustments to address increasingly diverse student characteristics, and (3) stakeholder engagement to sustain institutional legitimacy and public trust. Leadership played a pivotal role in coordinating adaptive strategies, strengthening internal management, and ensuring policy compliance while maintaining educational quality. The study concludes that zoning policy implementation represents a multidimensional institutional transformation process rather than merely an administrative admission mechanism. The findings provide theoretical contributions to the literature on educational policy implementation and offer practical implications for policymakers and school leaders seeking to enhance institutional capacity and promote sustainable educational equity.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the extent to which principal management influences teachers’ pedagogical competence within a secondary school context. Employing a quantitative correlational design, data were collected from 15 teachers through structured questionnaires measuring four dimensions of principal management (planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling) and five indicators of pedagogical competence. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, normality testing, Pearson correlation, and simple linear regression in IBM SPSS Statistics 24. The findings reveal a strong positive and statistically significant relationship between principal management and teachers’ pedagogical competence (R = .745, R² = .555, p < .05), indicating that principal management explains 55.5% of the variance in pedagogical competence. The regression model (Ŷ = 48.98 + 0.59X) suggests that improvements in managerial practices are associated with meaningful gains in teachers’ instructional capacity. These results underscore the pivotal role of effective school leadership in enhancing instructional quality and highlight the importance of strengthening principals’ managerial and instructional leadership competencies to support sustainable teacher professional development.

Abstract

School branding is a strategic aspect in strengthening reputation, attracting prospective students, and building public trust in the quality of educational institutions. In the digital era, the role of school public relations is increasingly crucial for systematically managing communication and school identity through social media. This study aims to examine how to optimize public relations management to build school branding through social media. Using a qualitative case study design, research was conducted in elementary schools as a representative sample of private schools that actively use social media. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews with public relations staff, principals, teachers, and students' parents/guardians; observation of the school's social media content; and documentation of posts and public interactions. Data analysis is carried out through data reduction, thematic categorization, and interpretation to find patterns of digital branding strategies. The results show that a planned, consistent, and responsive public relations strategy for digital dynamics, including involving students and teachers as content creators, can increase visibility and engagement and build a positive image of the school. The most dominant and effective platforms in building branding are Instagram and TikTok, followed by Facebook and YouTube. Social media-based public relations management is a strategic need for school branding in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of charismatic leadership in enhancing students’ intrapersonal intelligence within an Islamic educational setting. Grounded in Howard Gardner’s theory of multiple intelligences and Max Weber’s concept of charismatic authority, the research examines how a spiritual-educational leader influences students’ personal development. This study employed a qualitative field research design. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving the principal, teachers, and students. The data were analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. The findings reveal that charismatic leadership—characterized by integrity, effective communication, firmness in decision-making, empathy, and an inspirational vision—significantly contributes to the development of students’ intrapersonal intelligence. Students demonstrate improved self-awareness, emotional regulation, independence, and commitment to ethical and spiritual values. Nevertheless, challenges persist, particularly in fostering consistent emotional control and self-discipline among some students. The study implies that charismatic leadership plays a crucial role in integrating academic achievement with character formation. It offers theoretical contributions to leadership and educational studies and provides practical insights for Islamic educational institutions in promoting holistic student development.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of drug planning, internal control, and payment accuracy on drug inventory management within healthcare facilities from an educational management perspective. Specifically, it integrates management dimensions such as planning, organizing, controlling, and financial accountability in institutional governance. A quantitative approach was employed using a census method with 70 respondents directly involved in drug inventory management. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that drug planning has a significant positive effect on drug inventory (t = 2.304, p = 0.024), internal control shows no significant effect (t = 0.446, p = 0.657), and payment accuracy has a significant positive effect with the strongest influence (t = 2.814, p = 0.006, β = 0.370). Simultaneously, all variables significantly affect drug inventory management (F = 13.297, p = 0.000). These findings imply the need to strengthen data-driven planning systems, enhance managerial control mechanisms aligned with institutional capacity, and prioritize financial accuracy to ensure sustainable drug availability and service continuity.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of transformational leadership on the performance of educational staff in a higher education institution. Employing a quantitative survey design, the research used a census technique in which all 44 members of the population were involved as respondents. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using simple linear regression with IBM SPSS Statistics version 27. The findings reveal that transformational leadership has a positive and statistically significant effect on employee performance. The coefficient of determination (R Square) of 0.116 indicates that transformational leadership explains 11.6% of the variance in employee performance, while the remaining variance is influenced by other factors not examined in this study. These results suggest that the implementation of visionary, inspirational, and individually supportive leadership practices plays an important role in strengthening staff performance. Therefore, reinforcing transformational leadership behaviors can serve as a strategic approach to improving administrative effectiveness and overall organizational performance in higher education settings.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of work motivation, the principal’s leadership style, and the implementation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) on teacher work discipline. Teacher work discipline is a crucial factor in supporting the effectiveness of the learning process and achieving educational goals. This study employed a quantitative, survey-based approach. The study population comprised 55 teachers, of whom 32 were permanent foundation teachers selected using a purposive sampling technique. Primary data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire, while secondary data were obtained from teacher attendance records, administrative submissions, and task completion records. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression. The results showed that work motivation, the principal’s leadership style, and KPIs partially had a positive and significant effect on teacher work discipline. Furthermore, secondary data analysis strengthened the study findings by indicating that teacher attendance, the accuracy of administrative submission, and task completion reflected a level of work discipline that still needed improvement. This study concluded that increasing work motivation, applying an effective leadership style, and implementing clear, measurable KPIs can sustainably improve teacher work discipline. The findings of this study are expected to serve as a basis for schools in formulating more effective human resource management policies.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the nature of ecospirituality within Islamic education, the strategies for integrating Islamic educational values into an ecopesantren program, and the implementation of these values in shaping students’ spirituality and ecological awareness. The research employed a qualitative design with a phenomenological approach to explore participants’ lived experiences through non-participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation analysis. Data were analyzed using the interactive model of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing, while triangulation techniques were applied to ensure credibility and trustworthiness. The findings indicate that ecospirituality is constructed through the systematic integration of theological principles, thematic curriculum development, contextual interpretation of religious texts, exemplary leadership, and structured environmental habituation programs such as cleanliness movements, room inspections, and waste-free initiatives. These practices transform environmental care into a lived spiritual commitment, fostering ecological consciousness alongside religious devotion. The study implies that faith-based environmental education can function as an integrative model that bridges Islamic pedagogy, spirituality, and sustainability in responding to contemporary ecological challenges.
