Abstract

This study aims to analyze the reconstruction of Islamic educational governance through the integration of Madrasah-Based Management and curriculum innovation as a strategy for the epistemic transformation of contemporary Islamic education in Indonesia. The study employed a qualitative approach using a systematic literature review of national and international publications published between 2021 and 2026. Data were collected from scientific articles indexed in SINTA, Scopus, and DOAJ, as well as official reports from the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs and relevant academic books. The findings indicate that the integration of Madrasah-Based Management and curriculum innovation strengthens institutional autonomy, enhances governance effectiveness, supports data-driven and participatory management, and promotes a more adaptive, integrative, and student-centered learning paradigm. The study also found that the transformation of Islamic education requires digitalized governance systems, transformational leadership, and the holistic integration of religious and modern sciences to improve educational quality and institutional competitiveness. The implication of this study is the development of an integrative model of transformative Islamic education that can serve as a strategic framework for strengthening governance reform, curriculum innovation, and epistemological reconstruction in responding to contemporary educational challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of financial capability on MSME performance, both directly and indirectly through digital marketing and financial technology as mediating variables. A quantitative research approach was employed using questionnaire data collected from MSME actors. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to evaluate the relationships among variables. The findings reveal that financial capability does not significantly affect MSME performance directly. However, financial capability has a significant positive effect on digital marketing and financial technology adoption. In addition, digital marketing and financial technology significantly improve MSME performance. The results further indicate that digital marketing and financial technology mediate the relationship between financial capability and MSME performance. These findings imply that strengthening MSME performance requires not only financial capability enhancement but also greater optimization of digital marketing strategies and financial technology utilization. The study contributes to the growing literature on MSME development by highlighting the strategic role of digital transformation in improving business performance.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how community participation is integrated into the management of Qur'anic Learning Centers (TPQ) and to analyze its contribution to strengthening religious education among students. A qualitative research approach was employed, with data collected through observations, interviews, and document analysis. The participants included TPQ administrators, teachers, parents, and community members who were directly involved in educational activities. The findings reveal that TPQ management is primarily centered on routine educational programs, while planning and evaluation processes remain insufficiently systematic and sustainable. Community participation is reflected through voluntary services, financial support, and involvement in various activities. However, community engagement in program planning and decision-making processes is still limited. Despite these constraints, community support plays a significant role in maintaining the continuity of TPQ activities and fostering students’ religious values and practices. The study implies that a more structured and participatory management model is needed to enhance the effectiveness and sustainability of religious education. Strengthening collaboration between TPQ management and community stakeholders may contribute to improving educational quality and achieving long-term institutional development.

Abstract

This study aims to reconstruct the concept of teacher exemplarity (keteladanan guru) in Adab al-‘Ālim wa al-Muta‘allim by Imam al-Nawawi through the lens of Bandura’s social learning theory and to examine its implications for Teacher Professional Development (TPD) within Islamic Educational Management. The study employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) based on the PRISMA 2020 protocol. A total of 18 publications, including theoretical studies, conceptual papers, policy reports, and systematic reviews published between 1977 and 2025, were selected and analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings identified five key social learning mechanisms reflected in both the classical text and contemporary literature: modeling, attention, retention, reproduction, and motivation. These mechanisms demonstrate that teacher professional development extends beyond technical competence, functioning as a continuous process of moral and spiritual learning through exemplary behavior. Teachers serve as moral leaders whose actions and ethical consistency are observed, internalized, and reproduced within educational environments. The study implies that TPD programs and educational management practices should integrate moral exemplarity, value internalization, and continuous professional learning to strengthen teacher development and institutional effectiveness in Islamic education.

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs for teachers and educational staff in enhancing students’ competencies. A qualitative research approach was employed, with data collected through observations, interviews, and document analysis. The study involved educational personnel and school administrators who participated in professional development activities. The findings indicate that continuous training programs contribute positively to improving instructional quality through the adoption of innovative teaching strategies, digital technologies, and artificial intelligence (AI)-based learning applications. Enhanced teacher competencies were found to have a direct impact on students’ learning experiences and competency development. However, the effectiveness of the programs remains constrained by limited technological infrastructure, restricted access to online training opportunities, and insufficient financial support. Participants also highlighted the importance of face-to-face training formats in fostering deeper interaction, engagement, and understanding. The study implies that sustainable professional development initiatives require adequate institutional support, improved technological facilities, and well-structured training programs to maximize their long-term impact on educational quality and student competency enhancement.

Abstract

The retail industry is characterized by high work demands, including sales targets, intensive customer interactions, and dynamic operational conditions that may affect employees’ psychological well-being, particularly job satisfaction. This study aimed to examine the effect of work engagement on job satisfaction among retail employees. A quantitative approach with a correlational survey design was employed, involving 81 retail employees selected through purposive sampling. Work engagement was measured using the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES), while job satisfaction was assessed using the Job Satisfaction Survey (JSS). Data were analyzed using simple linear regression. The findings revealed that work engagement had a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction (R = 0.550; R² = 0.302; p < 0.001), indicating that employees with higher levels of vigor, dedication, and absorption tended to report greater job satisfaction. Work engagement contributed 30.2% to the variance in job satisfaction, suggesting a meaningful role in shaping employees’ positive evaluations of their work despite the demanding nature of the retail environment. These findings imply that organizations should strengthen employee engagement through supportive work environments, balanced workloads, meaningful work experiences, and employee development initiatives to enhance both employee well-being and organizational performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of digital promotion strategies in enhancing customer satisfaction within educational institutions amid rapid digital transformation. The research employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach by examining national and international scientific articles indexed in SINTA and Scopus published between 2020 and 2025. Data collection and analysis were conducted through identification, screening, and selection stages using the PRISMA framework to ensure the relevance and quality of the reviewed studies. The findings reveal that the implementation of digital promotion through social media, institutional websites, content marketing, and interactive digital communication significantly contributes to improving customer engagement, institutional image, customer trust, and overall satisfaction in educational services. Digital promotion also enables educational institutions to deliver information more quickly, transparently, and responsively according to the needs of modern society. However, several challenges remain, including limited digital literacy, inadequate human resource capabilities, and increasingly competitive digital environments. Therefore, educational institutions should develop creative, innovative, and customer-oriented digital promotion strategies to strengthen competitiveness and sustain customer satisfaction in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to explore how transformational leadership contributes to the development of entrepreneurship and student independence within Islamic boarding schools. A qualitative single-case study design was employed. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with five purposively selected informants, participatory observations, and document analysis. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, while trustworthiness was ensured through triangulation, member checking, prolonged engagement, and peer debriefing. The findings reveal that transformational leadership is manifested through the four dimensions of idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration. Entrepreneurship development is facilitated through professional business management, structured internship programs, and the integration of Islamic values into organizational practices. Student independence emerges through interconnected personal, social, vocational, and financial competencies. Transformational leadership supports these outcomes by fostering character development, integrating entrepreneurial learning into educational activities, providing experiential learning opportunities, and implementing evaluation mechanisms that balance spiritual and managerial accountability. The study implies that transformational leadership can serve as an effective framework for integrating entrepreneurship education, character formation, and institutional sustainability within Islamic educational settings. It also highlights the importance of combining spiritual values with professional governance to strengthen student independence and support sustainable economic development.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of the syawir method in improving students’ active participation in learning kitab kuning and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors in its application. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving teachers and students in the Islamic boarding school environment. The findings revealed that the syawir method significantly enhanced students’ active participation during the learning process. Students became more engaged in asking questions, expressing opinions, participating in discussions, and understanding the learning material. Furthermore, the method created a more interactive and collaborative learning atmosphere among students. The implementation of the syawir method was supported by teacher guidance and students’ enthusiasm for learning, while differences in students’ levels of understanding and self-confidence became the main obstacles. The study implies that the syawir method can serve as an effective alternative learning strategy to promote active participation and collaborative learning in kitab kuning instruction.
